Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Single mom with 2 little kids need help

Hi there,

thanks for taking some time to read my history.

I am recently a single mom, my ex husband decided to move on with his life and told me to leave the apartment where we lived. We both don’t have a good financial situation. He is a delivery driver and I don’t have a job. We have 2 kids, boy 2 and boy 8 months old.

I found a job in may and was working until last month because his mom used to watch the kids but now she can’t anymore, her sister is sick and she needs her to help, she’s on her 70’s and been dealing with cancer for a while.

The kids are my joy and I would do anything for them. Unfortunately I am not at a point where I can afford to buy things.

I have a big medical bill to pay and I don’t know how. I don’t have a vehicle to get to places. It’s been very complicated. I don’t know what to do anymore. I came across this website looking for a good Samaritan. God knows how we have been living these days and I’m sure he’s looking out for us.

God Bless U!

Sincerely,

Urgent Financial Support Needed: A Hardworking Single Parent’s Pursuit of Stability

Dear Reader,

I find myself in a challenging situation where I must humbly seek assistance as a last resort. I am a dedicated and hardworking individual who has always believed in self-sufficiency, but recent circumstances have left me with no other choice.

As a newly divorced single parent, I am the sole caregiver of my 16-year-old son. The responsibility to provide for his well-being and future rests squarely on my shoulders. I own a small business as a house cleaner for vacation rentals, but it’s a seasonal endeavor, and during the off-season, making ends meet becomes increasingly difficult.

In an effort to secure a more stable and secure future for my family, I have enrolled in college to study medical coding and billing. This career path offers the promise of steady employment and financial security. However, the financial strain of tuition and daily living expenses, including rent, has become overwhelming.

I want to emphasize that reaching out to complete strangers for financial help is my last resort. I would not ask if it were not absolutely necessary. I am in urgent need of $2,000 to cover basic living expenses, ensuring that my son and I have a roof over our heads and food on the table.Your generous contribution can be the lifeline that helps us through this challenging period. Your support is not just financial assistance; it’s an investment in our dreams and aspirations for a better life.

Your compassion and kindness can make a profound difference in our journey towards stability and a brighter future.

Thank you for considering our plea for help.

Funds For Food and Repossession

Hello, I am a divorced single mother and a disabled Army combat Veteran in desperate need of help.

Myself and my child are currently on the homeless veterans program and are  in transition. We currently have no food, no furniture, no support and our only has just been submitted for repossession. I am $2,700 behind  on my car payments because my ex suddenly stopped paying child support directly before school started.  My income was used for bills and etc. but since he did this to me, I had to make my one income stretch to as many bills as I could, my son’s needs and food out of pocket. Ever since, I have not been able to catch up on my car payments. I was contacted by the car company and they told me that now instead of accepting the $2,700 I owe, they are requiring me to pay the total payoff amount of $15k in order to keep my car.

My ex husband offers no support, as he is $73k in arrears for child support and the government cannot find him to collect. I have reached out to several resources and agencies for help, to include veterans agencies and was denied. I even applied for food stamps and was denied, I applied for TANF as well and was denied so this is our last resort. Aside from the money needed to keep my car in my possession, I also need help with vehicle repairs such as: brakes, 4 tires and a tube up. My car is in bad condition and is unsafe to drive with a child. My brakes are so bad, they don’t stop above 50miles per hour, my tires are bald and one tire is ripped and the wire can be seen, and, my steering wheel shakes violently. At the very least, I really need the funds for my past due balance of $2,700. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Single mom going through an impossible layoff

I’m a single mother to a 16 year old girl. I was put on an automotive layoff a couple weeks ago and I have since ran out of money. I am desperately seeking any help that people are willing to give for food, rent, and utilities. I go back to work in a week and a half and it will be two weeks after that before I get my first check back. I desperately need help making it to that point.

Just need help to fill half of the whole I’m in so I can pull MYSELF out before I drown!

Hi,

My name is LaKeisha and I came upon this website after coming across a post on YouTube while I was looking up “How to make money without money” and I was curious so I clicked on it. This was one of the first sites they mentioned and I must say I was a little taken aback by the site’s title but I figured I would take a chance. The situation that I am in isn’t one that I caused myself and I am a woman with a lot of pride so asking for any help is hard for me but “begging” being the title jabbed at my self-pride. However, last night and the look on my son’s face changed everything and I am completely humbled today. I have been working on getting my degree in college now for the last 2 years I went from studying nursing to Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality since I was working in the casino industry with hopes of moving up the corporate ladder eventually. I had been working for the casino for 5 years and truly loved my job, my greatest joy was interacting with the guest. My personality and desire to entertain worked well with the many guests.

In life, everyone has a story and mine is not one to be proud of, unfortunately. I made some dumb choices when I was young, thought I had found forever love with my first relationship, and wanted to do any and everything asked of me because I thought by doing so that was how I had to prove my love and loyalty. Long story short it led me into the world of drugs and very soon I became dependent on it. Which was followed by several arrests, and ultimately years on probation. Two years after my youngest son was born, I was arrested again, and being away from him was all I needed to through myself at the mercy of the court I begged to be allowed to join the drug court program, and after several letters to the judges, I was accepted into the program and completed it. I have not returned to that life since, and I have no desire to ever again. However, the choices I made in the past continue to haunt me 15 years later. Lately, it seems as if no matter what I do or how hard I try to get into a stable and secure situation I can’t something always seems to happen that brings me down to my knees. I am a good person and I am kind, I am always willing to help people, and they say good things come when you do good things. I don’t know if I am not doing enough good things or what but it’s almost like there is a curse upon me that I can’t get out from under.

I say that because I was working a full-time job, and going to school full-time. Taking care and doing my best to raise my son on my own. My son was diagnosed with mild autism and that was tough in the beginning but today he is a super smart wonderful kid. He deserves so much more than I can give. I can’t explain the pain I feel knowing I can’t do better for him. So here is my situation, I have been clean and sober and have had no problems with the law for over 8 years now. I was working a low-paying job but was able to survive somewhat okay, but this year that all changed when I injured my back caused me to be unable to stand for long periods which cost me to be let go from my job. Since then everything has fallen apart I got screwed over by unemployment due to a comment I made on y weekly claim, which caused them to deny me, I appealed and explained to the judge exactly what I was trying to say, even with witness testimony to confirm they denied me again, I again appealed and was denied again. I was unable to pay any of my bills I lost my cell phone access, my car, my insurance, everything. I have had to survive on my son’s disability check which is less than 1000 a month. I am back on food stamps, and I have applied for more jobs in the past month than I have in my entire life, and still, not one door has opened for me it almost seems unreal. I am a hard worker and have always been awarded or praised for my work ethic, so it crushes my self-esteem when I can’t find work. My grades started to fall in school, and I have fallen into depression. My son is suffering the most and last night was Halloween which is one holiday he loves the most we were on our way to go trick or treating and I forgot his trick-or-treat bag but they had some people selling buckets for a 1.00 at the entrance to the place we were going and my son with excitement on his face was like look mommy we can get one here and I held back my tears as best I could but had to tell him we would have to find an empty bag or something because I didn’t even have a dollar. The look on his face almost killed me literally, my heart was destroyed.

Now things are so bad I couldn’t get a bank to loan me 20.00 let alone any amount to help me get on my knees, let alone my feet. I am a super smart girl and would be a great asset to any company, I had been working with the Small Business Center here in my hometown to help me build a business plan for a business that with all the research we had done for it has the potential to be a very lucrative one, but was told due to my credit and criminal background history it would be hard to get anyone to approve funding. So again another jab to my self-worth, by saying I will never be good enough to succeed no matter what. I can’t accept that even though every attempt has been proven to be just as they say. I don’t want my son to be left with that memory of me never being able to achieve anything worthy. I want to one day be the mom he can be proud of.

If this site is as they say it is I can only pray for a blessing of ANY kind. I am a person who believes in Karma and I feel that I have already paid for my wrongs. But I believe that blessings are always returned when given genuinely maybe mine are still on the way and I just haven’t gotten it yet. I refuse to believe I am not worthy. All I can do is hope and pray, and take anything blessing given let my gratitude show my success. So if this site isn’t as they say well then I have lost nothing but the time it took to write all this. I can only guarantee that your gifts will not be wasted. Thank you for your time if you decide to keep reading to this point. May God bless you!

I need help rebuilding my self esteem!

For my 53rd birthday, I decided to go “Ghost” and disappear from life.

I have been crying for help since last November.   Contact with the corporate office at work to the county executive’s office where I live.  I can’t handle this life any longer!!!   I need to get out!

I walked away from my toxic workplace.

I could no longer handle how the mental abuse was taking a toll on my physical body.  When I am stressed I grind my teeth.  This level of stress has caused me to break off two teeth in the front of my mouth causing me to lose even more of the little self esteem that I had.   The weight loss has me under 100 pounds and I couldn’t take anymore, so I took a week off with no pay.

I have been treading water as a single grandmother of a 10 year old boy.  I have been working my Just Over Broke and barely made bills every month.  I’m not entitled to assistance.  His father was a drug-addict, not a well established working man, who paid into social security and his mother needs mental health treatment.   She abandoned him five years ago and I have had him ever since.  The county, the state and the feds say that there is no assistance for him, so we have done it alone, the best as we can.

My only sister made it obvious during the last holiday season that “her family” didn’t include me, so leaving that behind is a bow on the tree.

We need to move and get out of here –

We need to get out of this rat-filled, roach-infested neighborhood and live somewhere nice.   I have a very natural child in a dangerous urban atmosphere.  I can see the light in his eyes get dimmer as we get closer to here.  He wants a yard with a tree and a street, where he can play, instead of being subjected to the thought that he might catch a stray.    I can’t handle the sound of this dog barking on the other side of my townhouse wall!  I have tried to complain about its barking since it moved in last fall.  I’m now unemployed and have to hear it all day and night long!!!   Heading south and finding greener pastures sounds like a dream!

I don’t know how to do this… I’ve tried not to ask anyone for anything.

I could use help paying this month’s rent and utilities

I could REALLY use help with dental expenses!

…buying food, buying school materials, or simply someone saying “Happy Birthday”

Some people say that it is the little things in life that can lead to great miracles.

I hope you help a little, because it would mean a whole lot.

No matter who you are in life or where you are in the world – Thank YOU and I appreciate you taking the time to read this far.  Much love, have a wonderful day.

Pregnant mom with a two year and seven year old in need of financial help.

Hi! My name is Kareema. My husband was shot on October 13th, 2023. He survived but is now unable to use any of his limbs. He’s currently considered disabled.

I am 8 months pregnant. My due date is Christmas Day. I have two girls, 2 and 7 years of age. Because of our financial circumstances, I cant afford to have a baby shower, no birthday and we may not have a Christmas.

My husband left me with no financial support and now all the finances are on me. I have to somehow cover all the bills from now until March when our lease is up because he will be going straight to rehab for recovery for a  unknown amount of months.

This situation has left me as a single mom of two and one on the way with $10,000 to $15,000 in debt and I don’t know what to do. Please help if you can, I beg of you. Anything helps. Thank you!

Seeking help for my 8-year-old son dental work

I am usually the person helping others through hard times, so this is hard for me to ask anyone for help.

My son David is terrified of the Dentist, and I must get him put under anaesthetic to get the required help he needs for his teeth due to his anxiety.

We recognised he was born with problems with the enamel on his baby teeth, that decay too easily.

I am currently in debt to the tune of $15k and need $5K for my son’s dental work.

I ran this debt up trying to escape my ex-husband who was emotionally abusive alcoholic, who was horrible to both my son and me.

Part of the debt above was accumulated ($5K) due to previous dental work my son David needed earlier this year because of the enamel on his teeth wearing down and we tried to put in preventative measures to save his adult and other baby teeth. It’s incredibly sad that new holes in his teeth still emerged and cause him pain.

I have since lost my job 2 months ago, and still actively trying to find a new work.

My son’s father won’t help us because he is too focused on his new Thai wife.

I know this might be a long shot, but really hope that there is someone who could help us out.

I have tried very hard trying to keep it together, but I am struggling to keep my head above water now to be strong for my son and get him the proper care he needs.

I feel ashamed that I have got to this position in life and don’t know where else to turn to.

If you are in a position that could help us, I would be so grateful.

God bless you whoever you are and thank you for taking your time to hear our plight.

Single mom needs financial help while off work so I can have knee replacement surgery

It started out with my right knee hurting, took several months for the insurance to continue all the test. specialist showed me on my MRI where I have a avascular necrosis around the bones on my knee. That is where the bones are dead due to the lack of blood supply and my bones were starting to crumble.

The doctor said I was too young to have a knee replacement so we tried different things.  I have severe, swelling and pain every day at work. I work in Nutrition at the hospital and I’m on my feet 8 hrs a day. I finally got on restrictions and it made it easier but as time went on the pain got worse. My doctor then requested another MRI to see if anything had changed. Unfortunately it has and it’s to where I have no choice but to get a knee replacement so I can walk.

I finally got brave enough to leave and abusive relationship. My 23 year old daughter, and my 2yr  old granddaughter live with me. And basically, my income is what takes care of all of our necessities.

I do believe I will be off work for for six weeks, 12 at the most. I asked the doctor if it was something I could wait till after November when I’ve been at my job a year. He said I could wait as long as I can deal with the pain. After November, I can get FMLA and short-term disability. the short term disability is only half of what I make monthly . I won’t have enough money for bills. Then I forgot Christmas is coming . I’ve been buying what I can trying to get it out of the way. My goal was to try to make it until January. The last couple days I can feel things changing and it’s getting harder and harder to walk , stopping every hr to ice it while at work. So basically I know I need surgery right away but I won’t have money to take care of all of us while I’m off so I’m kind of out of options. I wasn’t sure what else to do.
I have medical insurance so it will help with the surgery. Any help with even the littlest amount would help me more than you could ever know!!  I bring home approximately $2400 per month. My rent is $825. That there takes a chunk out . I think I’d get paid $1200 a month to live while off. I don’t care about myself, just need to take care of my girls.
Thank you for listening and God bless you!!

Fighting to Secure a Future for My Children

In the quiet corners of life, where struggles echo louder than triumphs, I find myself, a single mother of two, navigating the turbulent waters of financial hardship. My story is not just about me; it’s about the relentless pursuit of a better life for my children, and the unwavering hope that keeps us afloat.

Imagine a life where every day is a battle, not against people, but against circumstances. I am in the throes of this battle, juggling bills and rent like precarious glass orbs, waiting for the inevitable crash. My dream of starting a new business is a flickering candle in the dark, a glimmer of hope amidst overwhelming darkness. I have the passion, and the drive, but lack the crucial ingredient – financial stability.

A year ago, my lifeline, my car, succumbed to age and wear, leaving me stranded. Every day since has been a marathon of public transport and endless walks, my determination my only fuel. The letters that mock my mailbox are reminders of my helplessness. Final notices for electricity and water bills flutter in, like vultures, threatening to snatch away the little comfort we have left.

Picture a kitchen with barren cupboards and a fridge that echoes emptiness. Hunger gnaws not just at our stomachs but at our spirits too. I scrape together whatever coins I can find, hoping to fill my children’s plates with more than just dreams. It’s a heart-wrenching feeling to see their eyes, once vibrant with innocence, now clouded with worry.

In the face of this adversity, I am not asking for charity, but for a lifeline, a chance to breathe, to dream, and to provide a better tomorrow for my children. Your generosity could be the key that unlocks our potential. With your support, I can bridge the gap between survival and success, ensuring that my business not only takes off but soars.

I invite you to step into my worn-out shoes, to feel the weight of my responsibilities, and to see the world through my eyes. Your donation, no matter how small, is not just money; it’s a vote of confidence, a beacon of hope that illuminates our path out of this darkness.

Together, we can turn the page on this chapter of struggle. Your kindness can rewrite our story, transforming despair into determination and hardship into hope. As you extend your hand, you’re not just offering financial aid; you’re offering a chance at a brighter, more secure future for my children and me.

Thank you for considering our plight, for seeing the strength in vulnerability, and for being the hero we so desperately need.

Single mom of two trying to move to safer home

Hi my name is Bri. I’m a single mom of two young girls. Julie is 7 and Jemma is about to turn 6 soon.

We live in subsidized apartments that constantly have the sheriff department here (not because of me). I’ve seen people get arrested for domestic abuse, dogs fighting, neighbors fighting (which I’ve recorded and sent to the front office and they did nothing). One neighbor threw a chair from the second floor balcony to hit another person. Then one person threw a glass liqueur bottle down and it shattered all over the sidewalk. Then there’s loud music at all times of day and night. The plethora of complaints never end. But the worst part is a 7 year old boy drowned in the pond this past summer.

I don’t feel safe there. And I’ve contacted Habitat for Humanity but they don’t have anything for me and my situation right now unfortunately.

I want better for my girls. We drive an hour away so I can take them to a better school in the nicer area.
and I work about 30-45 minutes from our apartment. I work 6 days a week most weeks. I love my job though and I am blessed to have what I have and I’m on my fourth year there. I work with pregnant women, babies and families. I also work with the pregnancy crisis center to help mentor women to choose life for their baby and give them resources and support.

Daily drive time is about 2.5 hours.

I found a safer, nicer apartment that is only 2 miles from my work and it also has another grade A school for the girls.

I went through my financials and proposed this to my boss. He said if I can get into the apartment and figure it out then he will grant me the extra monies difference for the rent. It’ll be life changing! Instead of driving 2.5 hours a day it’ll get cut down to 30 minutes. And it’s safer. Which is most important.

The only thing is I will need $5,000 to move. The deposit is $2,275. And then first months rent is $2,275. And the other monies is for the moving truck.
Even in subsidized housing, it’s not that much cheaper than where I’m trying to move. But it’s the world difference!

I’ve already cut a lot of unnecessary spending off and sold some things but I’ll never have the money to move soon without help. I don’t feel safe where we currently are and I would be in humble tears if someone could help us.

Thank you for taking the time to read this far. My girls have seen the other apartment complex and ask me about it every other hour. They want to move very much.
Again, thank you.

I made a post earlier but forgot to put my paypal. Please and thank you!

Urgent Assistance Needed for Single Mom of 3 Facing 72-Hour Eviction Due to Property Sale

  • Once upon a time in the heart of the countryside, there lived a spirited single mom named Lily. For the past four years, she had poured her heart and soul into renovating a charming old house that she had been renting. With the help of materials salvaged from her grandparents’ old farm, she had transformed the worn-out walls into a cozy haven for her and her three children.Little did Lily know that her dreams of owning this house would be shattered by an unexpected turn of events. One sunny morning, as she sipped her sweet tea on the porch, a letter arrived. It was a 72-hour notice to vacate the premises, as the property had been sold. Shocked and bewildered, Lily’s sarcastic nature kicked in, and she couldn’t help but let out a giggle at the irony of it all.

With her giggly determination, Lily knew she had to act swiftly. She reached out to her close-knit community, the epitome of country charm, for help in relocating. Word spread like wildfire, and soon neighbors, friends, and even strangers rallied around her. They offered their trucks, their time, and their genuine support.

Together, they formed a moving brigade, with Lily leading the charge. The southern sun beat down on them as they loaded furniture, boxes, and memories onto the trucks. Lily’s children, wide-eyed and curious, giggled as they watched their mama’s strength and resilience in action.

As they drove through the winding country roads to their new destination, Lily couldn’t help but reflect on the journey she had taken. The old house had been more than just a structure; it had become a symbol of her determination and love for her family. While leaving it behind was bittersweet, she knew that home was wherever her children were, and that was all that truly mattered.

With a mix of sarcasm and gratitude, Lily whispered a heartfelt thank you to the universe for the unexpected support she had received. She knew that her country roots had taught her to never give up, to find joy in the simplest of moments, and to always keep moving forward.

And so, with a renewed spirit and a giggle in her heart, Lily and her three children embraced their new beginning, ready to create new memories in a place they could call their own.

  • Lily is not my name but I am a single mom three and currently brokenhearted due to the shocking of having to move after I finished the renovation on the house thought I was buying I’ve never asked for help before. Hope I never have to again, but at this point, I don’t see any other option? I’m from a small town there is no assistance no shelters and I have no family left. Any help is truly a blessing. Thanks in advance.
