I’m trying to get my parents out of their old moldy house with an impossible hoa. I am their caregiver but I also work full time and overtime. They are on social security so they have a limited fixed income. My mom and I have been saving here and there and paying down our cards to build our credit but things come up. Usually something in the house needs fixing or the hoa has some new project. We are not looking for anything crazy just something newer with no hoa. We are very close to our goal, only need a little boost to help with down payment and closing costs. Around $15k. Anything is appreciated. Hi there to all the other dreamers out there. I’m newly disabled after years of a mystery illness. It took 6 years to diagnose and I thought my life was over at 41 years old. My mother died at 38 years old so I figured it was my time. She had a very rare disorder called Pheaochromacytoma. A rare tumor on her adrenal glands.  We didn’t know and she was gone within 72 hours. Fast forward to 2010 and I’m diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I was never able to have children and nobody wanted to marry a broken woman. In late 2019, I began having major issues with slowing down, profusely sweating with a tiny movement, brain fog, fast weight gain. To shorten the agonizing tale, 6 years later they figured out it is Secondary adrenal insufficiency. Slowly I’ve begun feeling a bit like a human. My family took me on a cruise for the first time and I met someone.  I still feel sickly and feel ugly and fat but this person made me feel incredible.  He works on a ship though. We’ve been seeing each, we’ll as best as long distance like that can possibly do. We’re falling in love but it’s incredibly complicated.  As a disabled person,  I am on a ridiculously limited income. I’m here begging and I mean begging to get some funds to help facilitate our rare chances to be together in person.  I can visit him more often but not without help. And it’s only for a day or 2 at a time. This is no fantasy.  He’s a beautiful man from another country and we’re trying to make our own magic. I’m just started to feel alive again but I can’t do it alone. I stopped believing I’d ever find love and sort of stopped believing in love at all. I want desperately to believe in magic. In fact he’s actually a magician as wild as that sounds. If you still believe and want to bless someone, I could never be thankful enough. I could never say words to fully express my gratitude but I vow to keep spreading love and positivity. I’m 47 now and probably never felt joy like this in my entire life. After years of surgeries,  injuries, medical drama, traumatic deaths, it feels like maybe the universe is ready to let me breathe.

My name is April and I would like to purchase a house valued is at $400,000.

So, a little background. My roommate and I are caregivers.  Around 2016, a relative of a friend visited me and asked me to be a caregiver to her sister- in- law.  I resisted because she wanted me to move into her sister- in- laws home, and I liked my independence.  But she insisted.  I told her I would agree only after she accepts my roommate, which she did.

The conditions of this arrangement were that I WAS NOT going to be paid.  But I would live at her house rent free. At that time, my roommate and I both had jobs, and the lady at the time was able to take care of herself.  The reason for us being there was because she had a severe accident after drinking and damaged her shoulder.  Her sister-in-law wanted someone to be there with her to keep an eye on her.

She was in her 80’s at the time we moved in, and while struggling, she was still self-sufficient.  She had a little dog, who she let pee in the house, and her house was very chaotic and had strong smell.  Nevertheless, we accepted the job.

We would later find out that she has dementia.   Dementia requires 24/7 care, especially when it progresses.  We didn’t know about this issue when we first accepted the job.  And the first few years living with her things would be okay.  We got the house in order, trained her dog, cleaned things up, and started routine. The lady was actually fiercely independent but REQUIRED our help.  My roommate eventually had to leave her job, and she spent the who day caring for the lady.  I was also giving the job of helping another family member.  After about a year, my roommate requested pay for taking care of the lady and eventually they agreed to a small sum, about $200 a week.  I was not paid.

Throughout the years, her dementia would progress.  She would forget things, repeat a lot. She would do a lot of Sundowning where they start expressing how they want to go home.  She would have mood swings and bouts of anger.  She would try to leave the house to walk home to New Jersey, we live in Florida. And so many other symptoms.  We had to keep locks on the door, and eventually we would need to monitor her with cameras.  My roommate would eventually ask for more pay and after family members rebuked the lady, she agreed to give her $500 a week.  I still did not get paid and it was going on 8 years.  We also adjusted the lady’s diet, so she ate very well and very healthy.  We took her out to restaurants and cafés and other activities.  And doctors and nurses complimented how excellent her health was and how well she was doing for her age.  She was even able to go off several medications.

As her symptoms progressed, my roommate would have nervous breakdown, and I had to do a lot more with taking care of the lady as well as my other jobs, I still was not paid for this one.  My roommate eventually got fed up with me not being paid and started to present it to the lady’s sister-in-law.  Finally, she agreed to pay me $200 a week.  The would be in the final year and a half of the lady’s life.  She started to completely decline and would eventually be bedridden. We took care of her and changed her in bed and did all we could, and eventually after several months, she passed away at 97 years old.  We took care of her for 10 years.

In the time I took care of Isobel, I could only work part time (babysitting, nanny, caregiving), I work low-income to allow people to afford these services.  So, I make between $200-$350 a week.  But I could not work full because I needed the time to care for the lady.

So, for the house.  It is the house we lived in to take care of the lady.  The family wants to sell it, and I would like to buy it.  I need help because I need the money to accomplish this endeavor.

I really have no idea how to start…

I’m requesting help raising $61,000 to help me pay off debts which are vehicle loans ($58,551) and pay back a friend who lent me $2500 a few years ago when my son passed away (March 2023) in Oregon so I can bring him home.  I live in Utah.

Why not ask the family?  Two of my kids live hours away and so do my siblings.  They are busy with their own struggles.  My parents passed away several years back, but they struggled all their lives.

I was a single mom and raised four kids.   I have no retirement savings or a house.  I live with my oldest daughter and two grandkids, whom I adore.   I help with household expenses regularly.  I am 59 years old, working as a self-employed traveling technician.  This balances my life with grandchildren’s schools’.  Mom works full-time for a manufacturing company.  I make decent money, but I drive too much.

I took vehicle loans over the years to help me travel for work.  These vehicles have high mileage.   I really enjoy my work; it gives me the feeling of being in my element.  I like being in the field of fixing things.  The fixing makes people’s lives better.  I am glad to be a part of that.  I am not lazy.  Just saying my loans are not a reflection of my personal character.

Going back to my loans – It would be great if I could not have any payments which will enable me to save.   With the amount I pay out on loans plus regular expenses, saving is extremely difficult and costs are not getting any cheaper.  I am hoping to work into my much older years.

I would really love to have a fresh start to provide a better life for myself.  Recently, everyday feels like I’m stuck in this motion and no change however, I’m doing everything I can to provide the best, happiest life for me and my family, I just wish it was without financial pressure.  Without the uncertainty my source of income can be different where I’m not driving so much.

Hello, my name is Jennifer. I am really hoping you can please help me to raise money for a new car. I have been providing 24hr care for my mom, so I can’t work; I’m on ssi and I haven’t been able to save money for a car because my funds are tied to important bills. I’ve been so focused on my mom that my self care routine has been neglected, which is causing some health issues to arise. The lack of sleep has taken its toll on my body. Doctors can’t figure out what’s wrong and more tests are needed to be done. I would like to get a new car, so I can take my mom and I to our doctor appointments, dental appointments and even make quick errands at the grocery store, if needed. I thought I could do without a car, but lately life challenges have made it difficult to ignore.

I usually rely heavily on my healthcare insurance for their transportation benefits for non-emergency medical visits, but sometimes they can be unreliable. In the past, I have had 4 times where I scheduled a driver and they canceled on me. I had to wait for another 30 minutes for another driver to come get me, which made me late for my appointment. That’s time wasted because I have to get back home to help my mom. The downside to this program is I have to give the insurance company an 3 days notice for when I want to schedule a pick up for a doctor appointment that they must approve first. I think it would be awesome to have a car for my doctor appointment, so when a doctor can pencil me in for a walk- in, it wouldn’t be an issue. I can’t do that with this program. Although I’m very grateful for my health insurance and their program services, the thing is, I can only use it for doctor appointments. I can’t take it to do grocery shopping or run quick errands. I have to rely on third parties apps like Walmart plus where I can order my personal items, but I grew extremely fearful of leaving my food in the hands of unsupervised people. I’m on a very tight budget, so I can’t get an uber or a Lyft. I have to depend on my sister to get us food. Unfortunately, She works and lives far away and it’s been hard to us into her schedule. I know there are people with far more grave and dire circumstances than me, but I thought I would just ask. Like that saying You never know, until you try. I usually don’t do this, but my back is against the wall and I don’t know what else to do to solve this. Thank you for your time in reading this. I am a grandmother in desperate need of money to go see my granddaughter in the World Cheer Competition  in Orlando FL. It is April 11th 2026, six flags opens in two weeks and I have been struggling to get rid of my belly fat. Large over hung belly that won’t move.
