Homes hosting Homeless and Transitioning veterans’ need help in keeping them opened.

Please support Janie’s Hands Veterans Transitioning Housing Program Inc. in its mission to keep its doors open for veterans in transition in the Delaware communities and counties: New Castle, Kent, and Sussex. Donations are needed to save our veterans from homelessness.

Janie’s Hands is currently the only transitional home specifically for veterans in Kent County. Without community support, the program faces significant hurdles because our veterans arrive with nothing. Here is what our veterans’ homes are in need of specifically:
  • Covering the facility’s monthly rental and utility bills.
  • Equipping veterans with the basic items they need when they arrive with nothing.
  • Maintaining the bridge between homelessness and permanent housing, which includes providing space for veterans returning from rehabilitation programs

The program often struggles with recurring operational costs such as utilities (light and rent) and providing essential food and staples for the residents.

  • Funding directly supports veterans until they can secure permanent apartments and achieve self-sustainability.
Veterans transitioning to civilian life shouldn’t face homelessness. At Janie’s Hands, we believe every veteran deserves a stable bridge to their next chapter. From career counseling to mental health resources, we walk alongside our heroes until they are back on their feet. We are so grateful for any support that allows us to continue this mission.

Help Me Support My Late Brother’s 3 Children Through a Small Grocery Business

Hello,

My name is MUHIZI JOSEPH, and I am from RWANDA. I am writing with a humble heart to ask for your support during a very difficult time in my life.

In November 2025, I lost my elder brother. Since then, I have taken full responsibility for raising his 3 (three) children. It has been a challenging journey, as I now have to provide for their food, education, and daily needs on my own.

I am determined to build a better future for them, and that is why I am seeking support to start a small grocery business. This business will help me earn a stable income and take care of the children without depending on others.

I am requesting financial assistance of 7000$ to begin the business. I am hardworking, responsible, and committed to making this opportunity successful.

I need $7000:

  • $5500 for a small grocery shop
  • $1200 for children yearly school fees
  • $300 for other items

I have been trying to find stable work and doing small jobs, but it is not enough to meet all our needs. Starting this grocery business will give us a chance to become self-reliant.

Any support you can offer will mean so much to us and will help secure a better future for these children.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Sincerely,
MUHIZI JOSEPH

Please Help Me Raise Money to Open a Candy Store in My Small Town

Hello everyone,

I’m here because I need a little help and I’m not ashamed to ask.

I’m trying to raise $20,000 to open a small candy store in my hometown. It’s a quiet, close-knit town, but over the years we’ve lost a lot of the small local businesses that gave it character and joy. I’ve always dreamed of bringing something happy and simple back to the community.

The idea is a cozy candy shop—classic candies, nostalgic treats, and affordable sweets for kids, families, and anyone who just needs a smile. Nothing fancy, just a warm place filled with color and happiness.

I work hard, but starting a business requires money upfront for permits, initial inventory, equipment, and getting a small space ready. I’ve saved what I can, but I can’t reach this goal alone. That’s why I’m humbly asking for help here.

Any amount—$1, $5, or more—brings me closer to opening this store and creating something positive in my town. If you can’t donate, even taking the time to read this means a lot to me.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I truly appreciate every bit of support!

A Cause to Beg for: Art & Tech Center in Rural Asia

Hi there,

I’m an educator in rural Asia.

With my savings, I bought an old house to convert into a small community center for art, music, and tech practice. My school district has been cutting funding for the arts and sciences among everything else, so I want to provide a place for my students and community to hone their skills and stay competitive in a world of AI. In the country I live in, computer literacy is low, especially in rural areas, with many grade school students not touching a computer until they reach higher education or even the workforce. It has been getting better, but I still see a gap.

A bit about the idea for the space, each room has a theme with provided supplies.

  • Painting and drawing
  • Sewing and fashion
  • Music and composing
  • Computer programming, game design, and AI literacy
  • Startup and co-op space

As for sustaining the place, there’s a small outside building (Garage? Farmhouse? It used to have farm equipment) on the grounds that’d make a great cafe space.

Now for the issues, I tried to DIY it by myself, but one thing led to another, I got injured falling off a wall, and the roof began to leak in multiple places during typhoon season, and made a mess inside. I tried to turn to the professionals, but I was given wildly out of budget quotes for my educator salary just for one fix on the roof (about 15,000USD), among other unpleasantries. Then I tried crowdfunding with incentives four times, once in-person and three times online, but failed even with social ads.

I thought about scrapping the solo space and maybe collaborating with a tech startup and a small gallery that hosts interdisciplinary exhibits and workshops, but it has gallery pricing, so to speak.

I really don’t want to give up on it.

My students are interested and complain about there not being any arts or computer classes. So I teach what I can between their general education lessons, such as mini art lessons in the last few minutes of class, editing a webpage with HTML/CSS, spotting a code mistake, and where AI made a mistake, by bringing my own equipment. I love seeing them light up.

The idea has interested the school board but I’m basically on my own for funding. I tried to get a city subsidy for the building itself, but I was told I have to fix the leaks and damage they caused to the floors before they pay the rest of the repairs. There’s also stipulations of partial control of the center for 10 years.

I moved on and tried getting handy volunteers but that has failed too.

It has become a “rock and a hard place” sort of situation.

So, if you can, I’d love your help, not just because I’m going broke trying to do it all, but because it’s a cause to bring a bit of good in the world and it’d be a great help to my community. Also, if you’re ever in Asia, feel free to visit once it’s all fixed up. I’d be glad to host you. The cities are popular tourist destinations.

Many thanks.

Reclaim, Reuse, Re-Treasure

I’m the founder of a newly formed LLC in Illinois, a recycling and repurposing business born from both necessity and legacy.

My father, Frank, spent his life hunting for treasures in what most people called “junk.” He dove into dumpsters, combed parking lots for pennies, scoured auctions and estate sales, and filled shelves with glassware, curiosities, and broken bits with hidden beauty. As a kid, I used to cringe, embarrassed by his oddities. But after he passed—and after walking through some of the darkest times of my life—I finally understood what he saw: possibility. I inherited a few old trailers he left behind and my initial plan was to scrap them out. But as I began sorting the contents, I realized they were full of his treasures—vintage glassware-depression glass, carnival glass, milk glass, art glass-as well as antique tools, old vintage chainsaws, countless collectible items and repurposable materials, old computers and electronics, a very old  jukebox, and the coolest pharmaceutical triple beam scales from the late 1930’s. Turns out my dad was far more knowledgeable and interesting than I ever gave him credit for and I wish he would have been here still to see the transformation I underwent out in those trailers.

That’s when I inherited the passion for treasures and this idea was born—not just as a business, but as a mission to honor his spirit: a spirit to rescue, restore, and rehome discarded objects.

Every year, the U.S. sends over 146 million tons of waste to landfills. According to a study done by the EPA, 75% of waste in the US could be reused or recycled. Furniture, textiles, glassware, electronics, and clothing often end up buried instead of reborn. If even small community projects like mine diverted just .01% of that waste, we could keep 14,600 tons of usable material out of landfills each year—reducing emissions, saving energy, and creating local jobs.

That’s what I’m trying to do here in Illinois.

My goal is to create a local reuse and recycling hub that:

  • Sorts and cleans usable goods saved from the landfill
  • Refurbishes items to original condition (or close to it)
  • Creates jobs with profit sharing
  • Sells reusable items locally and online
  • Recycles recyclable materials (metals, precious metals, electronics, aluminum, plastic, glass, cardboard and compost) at local recycling centers and scrapyards.
  • Offers pickups for unwanted but usable items
  • Donates time, materials and money toward educating the public about waste and creating a circular economy
  • Gives back to the community.  We have committed to donating 10% of our e-commerce sales. Once our business is stable, we will raise that percentage.
  • Aims to standardize a circular economy system
  • Create a community compost garden where locals can bring compostables in exchange for fresh veggies, fresh herbs, or quality potting soil.
  • Inspires others to rethink what they throw away
  • Makes trash look good ;)

I’ve registered my business with the state already, but I’m seeking donations to help cover essential startup costs such as vehicle maintenance, sorting materials, cleaning equipment, tools, personal protective equipment, gasoline, and essential  marketing materials—The market is huge. And ripe. Startup money could put us ahead years, at the forefront of a movement that will eventually become the global standard.

Even a small contribution helps move this mission forward.

This isn’t just a business; it’s a legacy—for my dad, Frank, and for everyone who ever saw something beautiful in the broken.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and believing in second chances—for materials, for people, and for the planet.

Help needed to start a new business project

Hello kind and beautiful souls,

I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season and spending meaningful time with your family and loved ones. Wishing each of you a very warm and peaceful Christmas. I truly wish Santa could step in and help me through what I’m facing right now. But since he can’t, I’m here with humility, asking for your support.

I never thought that I would be in a situation like this, but here I am, reaching out to random people during one of the most difficult phases of my life.

I have been unemployed for the past year and to my luck, I am not really able to find any suitable jobs recently. Over the last few months, I was into building a business project I truly believed in. I put everything I had into it. Unfortunately, that project could not move forward due to a lack of funding. My unemployment situation made things even worse. In the process, I exhausted most of my personal savings and also borrowed money from a close friend. When the project stalled, I was left in debt and in disappointment. I tried asking my friends and family for some financial support, even asked some banks to lend me some money, but none of them worked out for me.

Despite this setback, something unexpected and hopeful happened. Recently, I submitted a new business idea to a business incubator in Germany, which I’ve been developing and refining for nearly six years. To my surprise and relief, the project was accepted. The incubator wants me to relocate to Germany within the next couple of months so I can work with them closely to bring this idea to life.
This opportunity feels like a turning point. For the first time in a long while, it feels like my life is finally moving in the right direction.

However, there’s one major obstacle. I don’t have the financial means to make this move. I’m not in a position to take another loan, and the incubator’s financial support is strictly limited to the project itself—not my personal relocation or living expenses. Before I can even accept this opportunity, I must clear my existing debt and meet the financial requirements for immigration.

This is why I’m here, asking for your help. I need to raise $45,000, broken down transparently as follows:

  • $12,000 to repay the loan I owe my friend

  • $4,000 for the incubator’s onboarding and program fees

  • $25,000 to show immigration authorities that I can financially support myself during my first year in Germany while I work on my project

  • $4,000 for flight tickets, visa costs, and essential relocation expenses

The project that has been accepted is not just another startup idea for me, it’s my life’s work.

And the project in question is a mobile app designed to protect people during violent or dangerous situations. The app would enable individuals to discreetly alert local authorities in real time and also provide post-incident support for those who are traumatized. The vision is to eventually work alongside police forces, emergency services and volunteers across multiple countries, helping to prevent harm and improve response times, regardless of a person’s age, gender, or background. At its core, this project is about keeping people safe and reducing violence wherever possible.

I know this is a big amount of money to ask for, and I don’t take it lightly. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean more to me than I can properly express. And if you’re unable to contribute financially, simply sharing this message could help it reach people who can. I will try my best to pay back my supporters as soon as I have sufficient funds.

Here is my PayPal link – https://www.paypal.me/Chetan243826

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your kindness, whether through support or sharing, could genuinely change the course of my life and help turn a socially impactful idea into reality.

Support My Small Collectibles Business Growth On Ebay

Hi everyone, my name is Napoleon, and I run Junior’s Treasures Emporium on Ebay. I primarily sell collectibles on eBay and also locally. I started this business because I love the thrill of finding unique items that bring people nostalgia, joy, and excitement—whether it’s trading cards, vintage finds, or hard-to-find pieces for serious collectors.

Your support will go toward:

  • Purchasing high-demand collectible inventory

  • Buying in bulk when I find great opportunities

  • Shipping supplies (boxes, labels, thank-you cards)

  • Improving my packing/organization setup

I’m raising $9,500 to expand my inventory and strengthen my shipping/organization setup so I can keep up with demand, reduce out-of-stock issues, and provide a better variety of quality collectibles.

Right now, my budget limits how many high-demand items I can restock or purchase when I find great opportunities. With more inventory, I can list more consistently, fulfill orders faster, and grow into a more reliable long-term small business.

How the $9,500 will be used:

    • $7,000 – High-demand collectible inventory (restocks + new finds)

    • $600 – Shipping supplies (boxes, labels, protective materials)

    • $400 – Storage/organization (shelving, bins)

    • $350 – Listing/photo improvements

    • $250 – Local selling setup

    • $300 – Small business tools/fees

    • $600 – Buffer for time-sensitive sourcing deals

Every contribution helps me grow step by step. If you can’t donate, a share is also a huge help.

    PayPal: https://www.paypal.biz/juniorstreasuresem

Every contribution helps me grow this small business step by step. If you can’t donate, sharing my campaign means a lot to me, too. Thank you for supporting my journey and helping me build something that can last.

LEGACY MEDICAL TRANSPORT LLC: community- focused Non-Emergency Medical Transportation for NYC families

Starting Legacy Medical transport LLC is more than just a business idea for me. It is a mission born from real life challenges, responsibility, and the desire to help others who face the same obstacles as I do. As a parent of multiple children, including a son who relies heavily on consistent and safe transportation, I felt first-hand what it means to struggle with mobility limitations while trying to meet medical and daily needs. Living with a disability has made it difficult for me to accompany my child to  appointments to school and to the bus stop. But it has also opened my eyes to how many other families in New York City experience the same hardship.

Transportation shouldn’t be the barrier that keeps people from receiving care. Unfortunately, in neighborhoods across New York City, it often is many elderly, disabled, and low-income families are forced to cancel appointments, missed vital medical follow-ups or struggle unnecessarily because they lack reliable, compassionate and affordable non-emergency medical transportation service.  I want to change that.

Legacy medical transport LLC is being built with the community in mind- children, seniors, disabled individuals and any person who needs safe, dependable and respectful transportation. My goal is to purchase a reliable, fuel efficient minivan that meets New York safety standards and ADA compliant needs.  Allowing me to begin serving clients immediately with my CDL class B license and years of passenger experience, I’m fully prepared to operate professionally and safely.

The start up funding, I’m requesting will go directly toward securing a vehicle, obtaining proper insurance, completing business formation filings, covering equipment expenses( such as safety kits and medical appropriate sanitation supplies), and launching operations. This business is not just for my financial stability, it also gives me the ability to help parents like myself, elderly neighbors and people in our community who simply need consistent transportation, they can trust.

Legacy Medical Transport LLC represents opportunity, independence, and community support. With the right funding, I can launch quickly and begin providing a service that genuinely changes lives. Every contribution brings me one step closer to helping families who depend on safe transportation every single day.
