Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

I Walked Away Pregnant. Now I’m Trying to Give My Son a Better Future.

I Got Back Up. Now I’m Asking for a Little Help Moving Forward.

I’ve never been very good at asking for help.

I’m a veteran, a career driven woman, and a newly single mother to a little boy who has completely changed my perspective on life.

Seven weeks into my pregnancy, my son’s father kicked me in the stomach. That was the moment I knew I had to walk away from the life I had imagined and build something different for my son.

I left an abusive relationship while pregnant and started over. Today, a protective order prevents his father from contacting either of us, and I receive no financial support from him.

I don’t share that for sympathy. It’s simply part of the story that brought me here.

I’ve worked hard to rebuild my life, continue my career, become a mother, and create a safe and stable home for my son. But while trying to keep everything together, I also made financial mistakes.

I relied on credit cards. I spent more than I should have and told myself I would catch up.

I didn’t.

Today, I have approximately $21,000 in credit card debt.

I take full responsibility for that. I’m not blaming anyone, and I’m not asking someone to fund a lifestyle I can’t afford. I made the choices that created this debt, and I’m committed to fixing them.

What I’m asking for is a chance to reset.

Paying off this debt would allow me to redirect the money currently going toward credit cards into savings, my son’s future, and building the financial stability I’ve been working toward.

More importantly, I want to turn this mistake into something my son can learn from.

Someday, he’ll know that his mother wasn’t perfect. She made mistakes. But she took responsibility for them, changed course, and kept moving forward.

I want to teach him to live within his means, make responsible financial decisions, and understand that making a mistake doesn’t mean you’re destined to live with it forever.

So I’m putting my pride aside and asking for help.

If you’re financially comfortable and genuinely enjoy helping someone get a fresh start, anything you contribute would mean more than I can put into words.

$20 matters. $100 matters. $1,000 could make a tremendous difference. And if someone were able to eliminate the debt entirely, it would change the financial future I’m able to build for my son and me.

I also want to be completely clear:

I am not offering a relationship, dates, sexual favors, nude photographs, companionship, or anything else in exchange for financial assistance.

There is no transaction and no expectation.

I’m simply asking for a hand up from someone who has the means to give one.

I’ve spent most of my life figuring things out on my own. Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me.

But I’m ready to get my head above water, learn from my mistakes, and build something better.

I’m hoping someone might be willing to help me take that next step.

Please help. Anything I promise you, it matters.

I never thought I would be in a position where I would have to ask strangers for financial help. I am usually the person who tries to figure things out, work harder, and keep pushing. Asking for help is uncomfortable for me, but sometimes life happens, and right now I could truly use a helping hand.

I am a registered nurse and a mother of three children. I work hard to provide for my family, and one of the biggest reasons I decided to continue my education was to create a better future for my children. I knew going back to school would require sacrifices, but I wasn’t prepared for how difficult things would become financially.

While I was in school, there were times when I couldn’t work as much because I had to balance classes, studying, clinical requirements, work, and being a mom. At the same time, the cost of groceries, utilities, housing, and everyday necessities continued to rise. I started relying on credit cards just to keep everything together.

Little by little, those balances grew. Now, even though I make payments, so much goes toward interest that it feels like I am constantly paying without getting ahead. I also have student loan debt from trying to further my education and improve my family’s future.

I am not looking for a luxurious lifestyle. I simply want some financial breathing room. Our apartment is too small for my family, and one of my biggest dreams is to eventually be able to purchase a home with enough space for my children. Before I can seriously work toward that goal, I need to get some of this debt under control.

It is humbling for me to write this because I don’t like asking anyone for money. I know everyone has their own responsibilities and struggles. I am just a mom who made the decision to better herself through education, while trying to provide for her children, and unfortunately accumulated debt along the way.

Any help I receive will go toward paying down my debt and helping me regain financial stability so I can begin saving toward a better future and a better home for my children.

If you are able to donate, no amount is too small, and I would be incredibly grateful. If you cannot donate, simply sharing my story would also mean a lot.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping my family. ❤️

A mother’s cry for help

Hello and thank you for taking the time to hear my cry for help.
I am reaching out to you today during one of the most vulnerable and challenging moments of my life. As a single parent, my absolute priority has always been to provide a stable, safe, and happy environment for my son. Right now, that stability is completely broken, and I am turning to you because I truly have nowhere else to go and no one else to ask for help.
For a long time, I have been carrying the weight of all our household bills entirely on my own shoulders. While I am proud to say that I work hard and maintain a steady income, the brutal reality of today’s cost of living has finally caught up with us. Every single month, it feels like the cost of basic necessities—groceries, utilities, insurance—climbs higher, while my paycheck stays exactly the same. I have spent months stretching every single penny, skipping my own needs just to make sure my son has his. But despite working as hard as I humanly can, the math simply stopped working. I fell behind on our rent, and because I couldn’t bridge the gap in time, we have now been evicted.
The clock is ticking loudly against us. We have exactly 10 days to find a new place to live and secure the necessary funds to move in. The emotional toll of this timeline is overwhelming. I look at my son and feel a profound sense of heartbreak knowing that in just over a week, we could be entirely displaced if I cannot raise the money for a new security deposit and first month’s rent.
It is incredibly difficult and humbling to admit that I am completely on my own in this. I do not have a safety net, a family member’s couch to crash on, or a close friend who can bail us out. We are entirely isolated in this crisis. This is why I am swallowing my pride and asking for your compassion, your empathy, and your financial support.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward securing a safe roof over my son’s head. It will pay for the immediate moving costs and deposit required to get us into a modest, sustainable apartment where we can start over. More than just money, your help will give a stressed mother room to breathe and give an innocent little boy his home back. If you are in a position to give, please know that you are quite literally changing the trajectory of our lives during our darkest hour. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story with others who might be able to help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story, for feeling our struggle, and for any kindness you can extend to us.

Single mom struggling

Almost two years ago I finally earned my Bachelors degree, but finding a job has been difficult. About 6 months ago I was hired for a stressful desk job and since then my mental health has spiraled. I have an autoimmune disease that causes fatigue and joint pain among other things that are made worse by stress. The stress and anxiety are constant and I have now slipped into depression again. Since my job has a one year probation, I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it through since there are days I physically can’t make it in, but they don’t care and I’m not qualified for any leave. I feel like a failure to my child.
Even working full time, I make so little I can barely afford rent, utilities, gas, and minimum payments on credit cards I have barely anything for food to last the two weeks until the next paycheck. I only qualify for $24/month for food stamps, which we all know doesn’t go very far.
I’m on waitlists for low income housing, which would significantly lower my stress, but the waitlists are very long.
I don’t qualify for any loans, so I can’t even consolidate my debt.
$7500 would really help me so I wouldn’t have to worry about rent and food for a few months and can focus on finding a better job and a cheaper apartment and being able to get my kid a Halloween costume. Anything helps. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Single Mother Working Toward Stable Housing, Transportation & a Better Future

I am a single mother working hard to create a more stable and independent life for myself and my daughter. I am asking for help raising $15,000 to assist me with securing a place of our own, obtaining reliable transportation, and continuing to grow the small business I have been building in hopes of creating an additional source of income for my family.

Right now, my daughter and I do not have a home of our own. We are staying with family, and while I am grateful that we have somewhere to stay, my biggest goal is to provide my daughter with a stable home where she can have her own space and where we can finally establish a household of our own. I am actively trying to improve our circumstances, but the upfront costs of moving—including a security deposit, first month’s rent, household necessities, and other expenses—make it extremely difficult to get ahead while also handling everyday responsibilities.

Transportation is another major challenge for me. I currently do not have my own vehicle, which makes balancing work, my daughter’s school schedule, appointments, errands, and other responsibilities much more difficult and expensive. Having reliable transportation would give me greater flexibility in finding and maintaining employment, caring for my daughter, and handling the responsibilities that come with being a parent.

I am also building my small business, LuvliStudio, an online shop that I hope can eventually provide another dependable stream of income for my family. I have already put time, effort, creativity, and resources into getting the business started. I am not expecting success overnight, but I believe that with consistency, proper marketing, quality products, and time, I can continue growing it into something meaningful. A portion of the assistance I receive would help me invest responsibly in the business while I continue pursuing stable employment and financial independence.

My $15,000 goal would primarily help with the costs of moving into stable housing, obtaining dependable transportation, essential household and moving expenses, and a smaller portion toward marketing and growing LuvliStudio. This would not simply be spending money—it would give me breathing room to establish the basic foundation my daughter and I need while I continue working toward supporting us independently.

I understand that everyone has their own responsibilities and hardships, so I do not take anyone’s generosity for granted. Any contribution, regardless of the amount, would mean a great deal to me. Even if I do not reach the full $15,000 goal, every donation would bring my daughter and me one step closer to having our own home, reliable transportation, and greater financial stability.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping my family. My ultimate goal is not to depend on assistance permanently. I am trying to use this period of my life to build a foundation that allows me to become more stable, self-sufficient, and able to provide the kind of life I want for my daughter.

I Am Asking for a Helping Hand

My name is Yvette, and I never imagined that I would have to ask strangers for financial assistance.

I am a working mother who has always tried to take responsibility for my family and financial obligations. I have always believed that through hard work and determination, I could overcome difficult circumstances.

Over the past year, I invested my time, money and trust into a business venture that I genuinely believed would create a better financial future for my family. Unfortunately, the business became a devastating financial setback, and I eventually had to walk away.

Although I left the business, the financial consequences remained. I was left with debts, commitments and expenses that accumulated while trying to make the venture work. I also became responsible for property and lease-related expenses that placed additional pressure on me.

I am employed and continue working, but my salary is being stretched beyond what it can reasonably cover. I have reached the point where paying one obligation often means falling behind on another.

I have tried to resolve this situation myself. I continue working, looking for additional income opportunities and exploring ways to rebuild financially. However, rebuilding takes time, while my financial obligations are immediate.

That is why I am swallowing my pride and asking for help.

My goal is to raise $18 000

The money would be used to address my most urgent financial obligations, reduce my debt burden and stabilise my household while I work towards rebuilding my finances.

I am not asking someone to take care of me indefinitely. I am asking for a bridge — a chance to move from this financial crisis towards stability.

I want to be able to provide for my children without constantly worrying about which bill I will have to sacrifice. I want to regain financial independence and eventually be in a position to help someone else who finds themselves in a similar situation.

I understand that everyone has their own financial challenges, and I do not take anyone’s generosity for granted.

If you are able to contribute any amount you can afford, it would genuinely make a difference. If you cannot contribute financially, sharing my appeal would also mean a great deal to me.

I am still working.
I am still trying.
I am not giving up.

I am simply asking for a helping hand while I rebuild.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me and my family during this difficult chapter.

Why Am I Any Different??

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I’ve realized through reading other’s messages that I am no more special or deserving of financial help than anyone else. So many people need help right now and it’s sad. It’s sad that so many people can’t get by or can’t get the help they need to just be okay. I am a single Mom and just like most single Moms – I workday in and day out to ensure my child has everything they need. But along with the long days and sleepless nights – I need help. I have substantial debt and right now I feel like I can’t breathe. Here’s the truth though – my debt isn’t like everyone else’s. I don’t even believe I deserve help but I am desperate and have to try something. The reality is that I am a compulsive gambler. I have gambled for the greater part of my adult life and I’m not even that old. I have been in the process of recovery for many years but can’t seem to get ahead financially. No matter how hard I work or how much I feel I’ve accomplished – it still doesn’t seem to be good enough. I just want to wake up and feel like I can breathe again. Many people will have zero compassion for my disease and say I am not deserving of help – which is completely understandable – but I am a good person. I do deserve a second chance and sometimes our mistakes do deserve acceptance, forgiveness, and help from others.
My magical dream is to take my child to Disneyland one day and I know – even if it takes everything I have and I have to work until I can’t work anymore – I will make it happen.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

A Mother’s Plea: A Journey of Love and Resilienc

A Mother’s Plea: A Journey of Love and Resilience

My name is Ramonica, and I am a mother of three beautiful children, aged 4, 8, 10, Being their mom has been my greatest joy, but it has also come with challenges that, at times, feel insurmountable. Today, I find myself in a situation where I need to humbly ask for help.

Life took an unexpected turn when “I lost my job due to company downsizing, despite my best efforts to make ends meet, the rising cost of living has made it increasingly difficult to provide even the basics for my family.

Our current circumstances are dire. Rent is overdue, and I’m struggling to keep up with utility bills. There are days when I have to choose between paying for gas to get my children to school and buying groceries to feed them. It breaks my heart to see my kids go without the things they need, like warm clothing for the winter or school supplies to help them thrive in their education.

I am actively seeking solutions to improve our situation. I’ve been applying for jobs, exploring side hustles, and cutting every possible expense. However, immediate support would help us get back on our feet. Your donation would directly go toward “paying overdue bills, buying food and essentials, and ensuring my children have a stable home environment. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but my priority is my children and their well-being.

Thank you for considering our story. Your kindness would bring us hope and the strength to rebuild 10,000 will help us a lot paypal.me/Ramojohn1761

Help me to rebuild my life

I was married for almost 20 years to an alcoholic and drug abuser. I have two beautiful children, and I stayed with him for them. I gave up my career and my life to provide them with a safe and stable home and one parent who would love them above anything else – I would do it again in a heartbeat, they are my world.
I finally got the strength to leave him 2 years ago. Since then I have been working two jobs whilst building up my own online business. My children are happy and at peace – one of them is starting university in September and the other is sitting her a-levels next year and predicted to do well. I am so proud of them both.
My husband has not helped at all since I left him. However, my jobs mean I can provide for my girls and I am proud of myself for that. We don’t have a lot but we have a lot of love and happiness.
I found out a few months after I left that my husband had taken out a credit card in my name. He stopped repaying it when I left and it went into default without me knowing. The balance at the time was £36,000. I have paid back almost £9000 over the past two years but this debt is hanging over me, I currently live on £11 a day as every spare penny – there is not a lot! – goes towards it. If anyone can help me I would be forever grateful and I thank you so much.

Financial help

  • My name is Tiffany I currently live in Darlington, South Carolina. I have never done anything like this before and feel slightly embarrassed to have to ask strangers for help. I currently work as a waitress and we don’t make much money so im surviving off of tips on a day to day basis. I have 2 sons and one has sickle cell disease so he gets sick quite often and that causes me to miss work. My mom passed last year and she was always my help when im in need. I am behind on my rent, my car payment, my car insurance, and my light bill because I can only pay little at a time. I’m ineligible for food stamps so it’s hard some nights to feed my family and I have growing boys that eat more than myself. Times are really hard at this time and I really just need help getting back on my feet until I can score a better paying job. Any and everything would be highly appreciated, again I have always done things on my own but I really fell short after the death of my mom, I hope someone sees this and can help me out in any way possible. I have never had to ask a stranger for help but right now I am in dire need of help. I don’t have any family it’s just me and my boys. I hope someone sees this and has been through a similar situation and can help me just this once. I have a PayPal account

Single older mom raising a mentally ill child

I am an older mom who has spent the last decade at home, caring for my mentally ill child. Now that he is 18 and stable, I am facing new challenges as I try to re-enter the workforce. My age and the long gap in employment have made it difficult to find a job, and the weight of credit card debt is holding me back from moving forward.

This debt has become a barrier not only to financial stability, but also to finding meaningful work. With your support, I hope to pay off my debt and afford a certification in medical billing and coding. This will allow me to pursue a work-from-home job, become self-sufficient, and provide a healthier home for my family.

Your generous donations will provide a new start, helping us rise out of poverty and build a brighter future. I am humbly grateful for any support you can offer, and every contribution brings us closer to hope and stability.

My debt is currently at $18,000. The cost for the medical billing and coding is $3,000. Thank you!

Help Me Get Out of Survival Mode and Build Something Meaningful

Absolutely. I’d keep it honest, human, specific, and dignity-based — not overly dramatic, but real enough that someone with money feels the weight of it.

My name is Desi, and I am asking for help because I am trying very hard to rebuild my life, create stability, and keep moving forward when everything around me has felt uncertain.

I am a mother, a writer, a tarot reader, and someone who has been working to turn my spiritual gifts and creative work into a real business. I have published a book, created spiritual workbooks, and I am building a tarot/oracle deck and online platform around healing, self-reflection, and personal transformation. This is not just a dream I talk about. It is something I have been actively creating, piece by piece, even while life has been extremely difficult.

Right now, I am in a place where I need financial help to get steady again. I am trying to cover basic living expenses, keep my work moving, and create enough breathing room so I can stop living in survival mode. When you are constantly worried about food, bills, housing, transportation, and keeping everything from falling apart, it becomes almost impossible to build anything lasting. I am not asking because I do not want to work. I am asking because I am working, but I need help getting over this impossible middle ground where one setback can wipe everything out.

What I am trying to build matters to me because it is rooted in helping other people. My work is about healing, shadow work, spiritual guidance, self-trust, and helping people recognize the patterns in their lives so they can make better choices. I know what it feels like to be lost, overwhelmed, and trying to find your way back to yourself. That is why I care so much about creating something meaningful from everything I have survived.

Any donation would help me with immediate needs like bills, food, transportation, business costs, website expenses, printing, and getting my products ready to sell. More than anything, it would give me a chance to breathe long enough to keep building instead of constantly starting over.

If you are someone who has been blessed with abundance and you feel called to help someone who is genuinely trying, I would be deeply grateful. Your help would not be wasted. It would go toward stability, healing, motherhood, and the creation of something I believe can help others too.

Thank you for reading my story and for any support you are able to give.

Single Mom doing her best but still not enough

Thank you for stopping by and reading it. I am a single mom of 5 years old beautiful little girl. I will not lie, it is hard to write this and I never thought I will have to.

Long story short. I had 20+ years career working for u.s. government contractors and non-profits, i have two graduate degrees….all these seems to be still not enough to re-build our life.

In 2018 I moved to Tunisia with my job working for international non-profit. Got married there, we had our daughter. When our daughter was just 2 months old my then husband started stealing money and valuables, sold my car etc. When my baby was just 2.5 years old he and his family took her from me and blocked me on all social media, phones etc. I didn’t know what happened with my baby for the long 2 months. I fought for her with all I had. Had to sell my house in the USA, lost my job at the same time. But I won. I was able to find a support in the foreign country. I got case to court. I won. I was able to leave Tunisia with my daughter and two suitcases. I left everything I had there, but i had my baby back.

We came back to USA in 2023. I built my career working for international non-profits and government contractors for over 20 years. I got a job with government contractor, we got our apartment, my daughter started day care. I was working 3 full time jobs, working my ass off, but we had everything we needed.

And then another disaster stricked. In January 2025 USAID, the main funding mechanism for international non-profits and contractors, was shutdown. Company i worked for depended fully on USAID funds, so they went bankrupt overnight. We were laid off in one day, no notice, no time to find footing.

I lost not only that job. On that day I lost 2 out of 3 jobs. Industry in general was heavily affected. But we were able to make it through 2025. I had 1 client left.

But since February 5, 2025 until today I still not able to secure more clients or a new job. I apply daily. I have amazing professional skill set. I know my stuff ….However out of all applications I sent out I had just 2 interviews … 2 one-way interviews were you have 2 min per question and speak with camera only… And trust me, I don’t just sit around and wait…. I apply for jobs, I look for the consultancy opportunities, I started my natural skincare brand, I offer energy healings….I try everything I can think of. I woke up with the thought how can I make extra money today and go to bad with this thought…. But I feel like I hit a wall ….It seems like nothing is working. And money from savings run out already….

And the scariest part. The Part I afraid to think of … I don’t know how to explain to my little girl we may lose this apartment, we may lose the life we had together, we may lose each other…. She is too small to understand adult problems. But truth is we are $70,000 in debt and my current income is less than $4,000.  And either I’ll find this next job or few new clients or we will lose everything and become homeless….and that’s very scary especially when you are responsible for another person.

I truly don’t know how life will unfold, but I know God never abandon me before.

I am not even sure someone will read this …or will read to this point…but if someone will… I really want my daughter to have a fun, great summer, as other kids do… I need $1275.00 to send my girl to school’s day camp. This will cover 3 weeks of camp and will give me some room to keep applying and working on my business, while she is having fun and being a kid.

My big dream is to pay off my car loan of $20,000 and to have some money for the few months of rent, just to know we still have our home. We are safe.

My huge dream is to have our debt paid off, so we can get at least a small breezer and start rebuilding again from ground zero, not the -$70,000 ground.

If you stayed with me to this point Thank you!

If you chose to help us, may God bless you and everything you chose to help us with may come back to you multiplied x10

Help an Outer Banks Single Mom Secure a Home for Her Teen Son

My name is Amanda Jo, and I am a 39-year-old single mother raising my 16-year-old son on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Like many local families, I have struggled with the extremely high cost of housing in an area where rental prices have increased far beyond what many working residents can afford. I receive food assistance and Medicaid, but there is very limited affordable housing available here, and there are no realistic public housing options for my situation. My entire support system is here, including my parents, grandmother, brother, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and lifelong community connections. Leaving the area would mean losing the family support that my son and I rely on. My biggest obstacle is not the monthly rent itself, which is roughly $2,000 a month, but the large upfront costs required to secure housing, including the security deposit, first and last month’s rent, and other move-in expenses, which total approximately $6,500. Once established in a home, I am confident in my ability to maintain monthly housing expenses. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help bring my son and me one step closer to stable housing. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you may be able to provide. God Bless!
