Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Hard working MOM needs help

Hi. I am a hard-working single mom who needs some help.  Before I get started, I want to tell you a little about myself. I have two beautiful children, both boys 27 and 11. I had my 27year old at 19 years old. It was hard but I went right to work and have been working in manufacturing, for the past 27years. My oldest son graduated high school and served in the army for 8years. He has grown up to be wonderful young man and now is in the academy to become a cop. I am so proud of him. It’s been me and my youngest on our own for the past year and half. After a long 13-year relationship with his father (who is an alcoholic) I decided it was time to move on. Thats another story. My mother was always a very important part of my life. She was very sick, we lived together, and I took care of her the last 3 years of her life. She had been on dialysis for 8 years and had a few battles with cancer.  She died at 67 in 2020 and that’s when my life changed. We had to sell her home the home that me and my son lived in for the past 5 years. I took my share of the money, and I bought a complete fixer upper house that wasn’t lived in for two years. I was in over my head, but I got it for a good price and had to every penny I had in it, to make it livable for me and my son. I bought my house in April of 2022 and by December I was a single mom on my own, again. I have worked 3rd shift for 27 years and I had to find someone to watch my son. A thousand dollars a month is a lot of money to pay, for any mother on her own.

And this is where my story begins.  I have a decent job, a car and a home but I live paycheck to paycheck. The past year and a half my credit score has tanked. Trying to pay the house bills, put food on the table and pay a sitter. My savings is gone. I got behind on my property taxes. I am delinquent “passed due” 3,400$.  The next 1800$ is due July 1st.  For a grand total of 5,200$.  I recently started dayshift 4weeks ago. So, I am praying I can get out of this hole. I am just afraid I am so far behind I can’t get caught back up. I’ve tried to take out personal loan for 5 to 8,000$ but my credit score is too bad. I cry myself to sleep at night because I am lost. I don’t let my kids see how bad things are. I have taxes, summer camp, football.  All these payments are due. Plus, my bills and food.  I can’t wrap my head around it, that my life is falling apart because of 8000$ and I can’t get any loan or help.

My back taxes are 3,400$. That is the most important thing I have to pay. If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it, more than u will ever know. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any help at all would mean everthing.

Thank you,

Brandi

Veteran trying to get Back To Normal

I want to get back to normal and start helping my community.
Hello,
I’m a forty-year-old veteran, single woman with two children aged 7 and 11. I came from nothing and joined the military in 2010, looking for ways to give back to society and become a better provider to those who grew up homeless and witnessed the violence and systemic oppression brought on by the eighties drug uprising.
To keep it short, I’ve dealt with sexual harassment, toxic leadership, sexism, and a lack of empathy in the military. I’ve never complained, and I’ve tried to keep things quiet because I was afraid to cause more problems for myself. I consistently followed instructions and never found myself in trouble. I’ve become the leader of many soldiers who have respected my leadership style. To express how I am an upstanding citizen and soldier, getting behind in my finances is the main point.
During my years as a single parent in the army, I spent thousands of dollars on daycare and nannies, but the majority of my income went toward paying for services to care for my children. I worked a number of 24-hour shifts, which increased the cost of hiring someone to care for my kids and provided convenience, enabling me to fulfill my military duties.
I’ve never been behind on my bills and always tried to save money. When I had to attend drill sergeant school and perform my drill sergeant duties, my finances started depleting.
The stress from toxic environments, sexual harassment, and workload as a single parent, along with depleting finances and health issues, started to take a toll on my mental health. I plunged into a profound depression and faced discharge from the military. I ended up homeless, trying to move to a veteran-friendly state. During the move, my car broke down. I had to live in a hotel off of credit cards until I could figure out how to get a vehicle and thankfully, I found a used van for $8,000 that I had to finance because I didn’t have the cash for it. All while I had my two children with me, my plans were to buy a home and pay a mortgage with my disability, but I was moving and living in hotels and in my van because the house wasn’t going to be ready for another 2 or 3 months. At that time, I had nowhere to go and no one to stay with. Homeless shelters were filled, and agencies couldn’t help me because I just got out of the military and to them, I should still have income to be on my own. Even though I should, because of the unfortunate events of lack of support for my children, I was filled, and agencies couldn’t help me because I just got out of the military, and to them, I should still have income to be on my own. Even though I should, because of the unfortunate events of lack of support for my children, I was filled, and agencies couldn’t help me because I just got out of the military, and to them, I should still have income to be on my own. Even though I should, because of the unfortunate events of lack of support for my children, I was forced to have the luck of my finances being depleted like a domino effect. Output with no input was affecting me really fast, which led to me maxing out my credit cards not on clothes and luxuries but on cheap hotels, food, and clothes for my kids to be safe and comfortable. I’ve been going to counseling and started back to college, and I’m drowning in credit card bills, struggling to keep food and provide a normal life to my kids, signing them up for sports and hiding the fact that I can’t pay fees because I’m still trying to catch up but I’m drowning. I want to be able to get back to normal. If I can get my debts paid off faster, I would be grateful to find ways to give back to the company. I currently volunteer at homeless shelters due to my past experiences, but I would like to expand my involvement as I feel stuck and my depression is on the verge of resurfacing, which could lead to further societal barriers.

Single mother I need

Hello to all those angels on earth!
As you read this desperate request for help, I hope you and your loved ones are well.
Hello, I am desperately asking for your help. I know they have a great heart and I hope they will help me. I am a single mother with 4 children and homeless. I am staying at friends' houses that are constantly changing since I don't have family in this country. My nightmare began in August 2023 when I lost everything in terms of material and financial savings due to identity theft. They confiscated my car, my saved money, my weekly paycheck from my job that I ended up quitting. With the little I had I paid rent trying to get back on my feet but I haven't achieved anything yet, I didn't even receive my taxes this year due to debt that that person made in my name, everything is an indefinite process. But getting a payment deal done is a bit of a relief.
I confess that I am writing in the translator and my tears are falling. This has been too strong a blow for my little ones and me. I am struggling with severe depression, anxiety and terror. But I have to continue supporting my children and taking care of them by showing myself strong so that they do not become discouraged and do not suffer from seeing me sad and afraid. I confess that I go in to take a bath and I start to cry in silence to be able to vent a little about what I feel, I cannot give up that is not negotiable, I have little people who follow in my footsteps and with the little strength I have left I am looking for help in the different government offices but they deny them since I have this big problem of identity theft. I also constantly go to non-profit places in my city, but I can't receive anything, THERE ARE NO FUNDS; that is the answer.
But I do go and look for food at the Salvation Army food banks, clothes and shoes. GOOD NEWS! I already managed to get a job, as of today I was hired but I still have to have my first day, which will be the 28th of this month. Please help me move forward and return to having a safe and stable home for my children, I humbly beg you.
My children and I will be eternally grateful to you and our prayers are with you.

SingleMom/Aunt

I am a single Mom/Aunt raising my daughter, 2 nieces, and nephew of my deceased sister. I have help from my parents who help by giving us rides because at this time I do not have a vehicle and their car is in the shop currently. My daughter and I are needing new glasses, my nieces have some dental expenses, my nephew is outgrowing clothes, and I have a continuing education expenses that could increase my income. The funds would contribute to all these needs and groceries. What would help is 10000.00 and that would cover all expenses and little more to get ahead in some bills. Unfortunately my ex brother in-law did claim the other children on his taxes and took the money and ran knowing we had the children for over a year. We are doing our part with irs and everything but will have a long wait which we can’t. Anything donated will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you so much. 10 year old disabled daughter in need

Hello everyone my name is Tashema. I am a single mother of two girls 10 and 11 years old in 2020 my youngest daughter went into cardiac arrest at the hospital and suffered brain injury, which left her unable to talk and walk we moved to Boston because she needed to be placed in a recovery program which helped her a lot. They were so helpful and attentive to our needs. They took real good care of her, but she got homesick and she missed her friends and family so we moved back home where we got absolutely no help it turns out that the system is completely different from where we live currently to the system they have in place in Boston so that was a big change for us there’s not really good therapy out here to help her so she’s doing a lot of leaning in her back is leaning and she can’t stand like she was able to stand in her standard before when she was in Boston her health is basically declining because she can’t get the proper help that she needs I bring her to therapy, but they don’t do much to help her to be honest. I wish I would’ve just stayed in Boston but you don’t know what you don’t know she’s been through so much so many surgeries, so much medication so much pain she endure, and every day through it all she has the smile on her face that brightens up the world. She’s always happy and has someday she gets sad because there’s nothing she can really do but just be in the bed I would really love some help with getting her a special bike that when she went to therapy, she used to ride and that made her happy and a wheelchair or a stroller so that I’m able to put her in the car and break down the wheelchair stroller to be able to take her to the grocery store or to the park or maybe to the beach or something just to get her out the house  because as of now I’m not able to do that. She has a power wheelchair which way tons and cannot at all fit into a car because the car is not handicap assessable and the wheelchair she has now she had it for about three years and it’s falling apart. Pieces are missing  I’m taping it together and putting screws that really don’t belong or anything just to hold it up insurance will not give her another one because they gave her the power chair and I can’t afford to get her another chair or the special kind of bike I just want her to be happy and able to go out in the world and be a part of it and not just stuck in her bed. It’s really hard to save because I can’t work last year in March. I got diagnosed with NMOSD had to be admitted to the hospital for a month and a half which left me in severe pain nerve damage so many medication’s im on and I have infusions I have to take every eight weeks on top of that I also have fibromyalgia and lupus, so I’m doing the best that I can it’s hard on my older daughter because everything is just hitting back to back to back and it’s like OK when are we going to get a break and it’s taking a toll on her because she has helped me so much when everything happened with my youngest daughter and then she had to turn around and help when everything happened with me and she’s 14 and it’s a lot on her and she’s dealing with her diabetes which she’s not doing good with that because you know she’s a kid she want to eat what she wants to eat There’s so much I could go on and on about what’s going on, but if there’s anyone out there that can help us or axing the kindness of your heart to please do so we will be greatly appreciated. I know my little one will be so so happy Thank you all in advance

A Mother Seeking a Little Help for a Big Change!

I am reaching out during what has become one of the most challenging periods of my life. After much consideration and heartache, I have separated from my partner of 20 years. While this decision was not made lightly, it is a step towards healing and a new start for both myself and my children.

As part of this new chapter, I am in the process of moving to a new home. It represents a fresh start for us, a place where we can build new memories and find peace. However, the journey to this new beginning has presented its own set of challenges, one of which is the financial strain of the move-in costs.

The remaining balance needed to secure our new home is $750.00. I find myself in a tight spot financially; I will not receive my paycheck in time to meet this obligation. It is a humbling experience to ask for help, but I am reaching out with a hopeful heart.

If you are able and willing to assist, it would mean the world to us during this time of transition. Every little bit helps, and your support would be a beacon of hope in this moment of change. I am also open to repayment arrangements or any other form of assistance you might suggest.

Please know that your support, is immensely appreciated. More than anything, I value your understanding and encouragement as we navigate this new path.

Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

Warmly,

Struggling Mom behind on bills

Hello, I’m not entirely sure how to start this so I guess i’ll just jump in. I’m hoping and praying that somebody actually sees this because I’m at a loss on what else to do. I’m a twenty four year old mom to a two year old son and I work two full time jobs. As of right now i have three days left to pay rent which is $1,064 (lucky compared to most, I know.), i have $5,500 in medical bills about to be sent to collections as well as $4,000 school loans. I’m also drowning in debt from just trying to buy groceries and keep my son taken care of which is to the tune of $16,000. I’m not really expecting a miracle, i’m just praying that this gives me a chance to at least get caught up enough to be able to breathe for a second. All in all i need about $25,000 to be actually set, however right now the most dire is $5,000 just to pay bills and keep the lights on. ($1,064 rent, $149 insurance, $425 car, $174 water, $600 credit cards, $500 to catch up school loans, $450 to catch up medical bills, $159 electric, $80 wifi, and the rest to stock up on groceries and get a full tank of gas) At this point anything would help, I’d be more than grateful for $10. Thank you for taking the time to read to the end and i hope you have a blessed life. https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/jsmyer122

Urgent Request for Financial Assistance to Support My Family

Dear BeggingMoney.com Community,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Emirose, and I am reaching out to you with a humble request for help during a challenging time for my family.

I am a devoted mother of two wonderful children, and my utmost priority is providing them with a safe and comfortable life. However, I find myself in a difficult situation where I am struggling to keep up with our financial obligations. Despite working tirelessly, I have been unable to break free from the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck.

Currently, my family is facing overdue bills totaling less than $10,000, which has placed immense strain on our finances. Additionally, as my children continue to grow, their need for new clothes has become increasingly apparent. Unfortunately, due to our financial constraints, I am unable to fulfill this basic necessity for them.

I am reaching out to you, the compassionate members of the BeggingMoney.com community, in the hopes of receiving assistance to alleviate some of our financial burdens. My goal is to raise $5,000 to cover our outstanding bills and provide my children with the clothing they need. This amount would provide us with the breathing room we desperately need to regain stability and move forward with confidence.

Your generosity and support would mean the world to me and my family. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives and bring us one step closer to achieving financial security.

I understand the importance of accountability and transparency, and I assure you that any funds received will be used responsibly to address our immediate needs.

Thank you for taking the time to read my plea and consider supporting us during this challenging time. Your kindness and compassion will not go unnoticed, and we will forever be grateful for your generosity.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Emirose Niro

A mother seeking a safe place to raise her daughter alone.

Hello I just want to say that you are a special breed to help others out and I hope to be on the other end of this someday, thanks for your consideration. I’m a 37 yr old mother to a 4 yr old girl, we live with her father and my bf’s parents, which has given me the blessing of staying at home with her for the past almost 5 yrs. Her father and I have been in a rough spot in our relationship and were working on it but then about a week ago I was blind-sighted with him breaking up with me and telling me I have 6 months to find someplace else. Now because I stayed at home all those years I don’t have a penny to my name and a 5 yr gap in my work history. I have great credit but no job so loans and other things are a no-go. Last night I asked him if I could buy a new computer. He said he would replace it because he broke mine and said I could get a new one. I even found a cheaper one and he said no you can buy it, that computer was gonna help me look for a job and be able to work using it. Im lost everyday its something new he does trying to hurt me. He knows I have nothing and my family I do have are homeless which he loves to throw in my face . I really need to get out of this home because it’s not healthy anymore. I am being mentally abused daily and I am becoming overwhelmed with all the things I suddenly am in need of for my daughter and I but I’m trying to hold it together for my child. Everyday he finds a way to kick me while i’m already down, I feel like he is trying to break me and make me fly off the handle so he doesnt feel so bad about all this he will have someone to blame it on instead of himself.. yet he has something to say or something to tell me I must do or else, and I’m at my witts end with it I don’t have the fight in me and I just need a clean break and start for my baby girl and my self. My daughter and I share a very special bond and If I had to leave her because I have no place to go I’m not sure I could take that honestly. My self-esteem is already at the lowest point ever due to weight gain some medical issues with my spin about to fuse and having “nerd neck” Also my teeth outta nowhere started spacing, so already everyday is already a struggle to be happy and motivated but if I couldn’t see my childs face everyday because I have to live in my car I will be broken like the broken that’s not fixable, so I am please asking for anyone to help me get into some kinda housing or buy a trailer or anything i’m open to suggestions. I can even trade cleaning services for housing if that’s an option. I’m a great cleaner..so Please help me and my little girl out and let us stay together. She is about to start school sept same time as when my 6 mos is up and starting school is gonna be stressful enough I don’t wanna add to that. I want her to be ready and know she has a comforting place to come back to, she deserves the best chance in life and I can not fail her tho everything is working against me right now and i’m not looking forward to the day I have to explain why i don’t sleep with daddy at the house anymore but it would kill her if I had to tell her on top of us splitting that she can’t come with mommy and mommy has to leave her with daddy.. I’m crying just writing this so please I am begging anyone to give me a hand and I promise I will make sure that our feature (my child) will be the change we need in this world. I promise she will get everything she needs to become an amazing person like the ones reading this.. Thank you for your time and energy. Here’s to hope and the feature and I promise to pay it forward.

Single mother going through a tough time

I have been going through the hardest time over the past two years. I’ve never thought I would be in this situation I’m in. I was out of work for a total of 6 months in the past year. I’ve fallen behind on everything and in the process of losing my home. During the summer of ’23, I was in a car accident which totaled my car and unfortunately I didn’t have any insurance because I couldn’t afford it. I still have a balance on the car, and I don’t know how or when I’ll be able to get another vehicle. I’ve fallen into a deep dark hole and I don’t know how to get out. It’s been almost a year since I had a car. I’m currently working but I don’t make nearly as much as I used to. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Well not sure how I got here but…

I will try to keep a very long story short for everyone’s sake and hit the highlights of how I ended up here. Well I am 54 a widow with one son. My childhood was typical and great I must say I had the best middle class family a person could ever wish for and for that for my family and the time I had with them all I am truly truly humbly grateful.  I worked hard as I was raised and kept a good middle class life and career for years and never had to ask for help but maybe once monetarily that is. So I was married in 2001 to an amazing wonderful kind hearted man. We struggled to have children due to cancer I had beat a few years prior.  We both worked I lost twins mid term and several other attempts at having a child but in 2005 we did it we had a son. We stopped there and up until 2017 we worked hard had good times,  raised our son as best we knew how and had few complaints other than well the usual bills, free time etc… we made it through allot together and were stronger for it. Then in 2017 when at work I got the call that well changed my life forever. My husband who was never sick a day in his life was gone he died from a widow maker heart attack at 43 in his sleep while on the road for work.  Over night our lives changed. Instantly ! I had to be strong for my son who was soon to be 12 years old and I was – I put my head down cried everyday to this day in the shower alone paid off what bills I could helped his mother financially paid off his sisters home and helped my brother who in typical fashion took off from his work for an extended period to help me get through the nightmare events one must face when losing a loved one. Fast forward to 2020 I had lost my father just before my husband and hard it was but expected at his age if 85 and before that my moms stroke as well for which she was never the same but she was thank goodness still there and by my side as well when he left us so suddenly. Again come 2020  and Covid 19 well just on the on set of that  USA shutdown my mom had an accident trying to clean up water she spilt and fell and hit her head. With in less than a week she too was gone  brain surgery could not save her. The best strongest warrior angel I now have in her one hell of a woman. An amazing amazing woman -My son struggled with this loss as well as his fathers but we had to keep going so I could not take care of my home properly alone and sold it at a break even in early 2021 and moved into the house of a new man friend x military man with ptsd but a gentle soul once you get past the hard exterior. He opened his home to my son and I and what a great man for doing so and my son now 15 really liked him as well. So I was also left rental property I could not take care of as renters destroyed it and they had to foreclose on it I just could not afford to keep it and I was still paying bills my late husband and I had accumulated. So I am still at my then almost 30 year job a good one and I worked around the clock. But started another small building clean out business with new man friend and it was doing well for a bit. So come late 2021 and I get another call out of the blue and it was my brother he was admitted to hospital in Chicago when working as a truck driver and was put on vent and died of COVID  at age of 56 3 weeks later . He was it all that I had left of my small core truly loved family- they were all gone it was just me and my son . I thought my brothers wife who I love to this day I thought we would stand together but that did not happen they well let’s just say they don’t ever call or call back anymore as the same with all my other friends and family except for my late husband mom and sister they have stayed in touch and are just wonderful! So there I am lucky very lucky! So I tried to keep working and I did and helping with the new business but then in late 2022 I was laid off of my job if 30 years with out real warning. So I forged ahead  with the business and put all i had left Into it and boom my partner/ boyfriend was put in hospital for diabetes and we almost lost him but did not thank god … but him work again soon was doubtful and I tried to run the business on my own but had an auctioneer rip me off of 26kafter selling my inventory and I  could not recover it and had landlord in business building go up 3k on rent and then I was robbed so…. Wow okay  what now … well I have applied for every job I can I am either over or under qualified and I took a retail job and kept business going by hauling and doing property preservation over the summer with my sons help and any gig I could get but I am now so far in debt I can’t crawl out!!!! I am still trying as I also have painted art for 30 years so I built an Etsy store with just a small bit of my art on there and some of the business items I am trying to resale and now trying to build a free web site to sell my art etc but I am struggling to get that completed and companies that could help want thousands and still trying to get a good job daily….I applied for Medicaid and got that but can’t get snap food help on unemployment I was on over the winter and now unemployment has ended and death benefit that we have survived on ends in two months and well I am now lost and just when it could not get worse whelp with my luck it did  I was rear ended by a distracted driver doing 70 mph and hurt my back and my only hauler f350 truck well it’s done destroyed but hey I am hurt but alive so it’s a good day, right???!? I am sorry to be on this site and asking for help but I am so buried now I just do not know what to do and I hate hate hate to ever ask for help but my son is graduating high school and I had to tell him the trip we tried to save for  to take for his graduation across country in rv for 3 weeks was well canceled cause all that savings had to pay bills because his mother had failed but I havenot given up the fight. Even if I can’t dig out of this monster debt  about 250k with at least 65 of it from the rental foreclosure and if I can’t get another good job I will figure something out so he can go to trade school as I will not fail my son ever again as it broke my heart although he of course  understands as he is one hell of a great kid and soon to be man! He has been through so much I lucked out he is a great kid just like his father. So I shortened this story for everyone’s sake leaving out the 6 other funerals and crazy life events we have endured in this time frame. And again I only ask for help to get back on my feet dig out of this financial hole so I can again try and make a life for me and my son, the hill I have been climbing has just gotten so damn big I am struggling. I thank you so very much for your time and for you being kind enough to read this – if you choose to help I thank you from the bottom of my heart and will take that assistance humbly and utilize any help in the best way I know how to get this string of years of bad luck behind us and I will take your kindness seriously and will be grateful until the day that I leave this earth. Thank you again  from a woman that just needs a break and a little bit of help !! Thank you !  My cash app thingy is $ebw4444  I know that shows who I am but figure transparency is best thank you again and if you can’t help believe me I get it but thanks for listening 🙂 and as my son and I say life is hard but you have to M-BRACE IT which means

Hope this message finds you well!

As a single mom, pursuing my aspiration to become a BSN RN stems from a profound family tradition deeply ingrained within me. As the child of an immigrant, the quest for a better life is etched into my very being. I carry the weight of my family’s sacrifices and dreams on my shoulders, driven by the relentless pursuit of opportunity Their journey instilled in me a profound appreciation for opportunity and resilience in the face of adversity. While being accepted to an ABSN Program here in Massachusetts for Summer of 2024 every step forward is a tribute to their courage, a testament to their unwavering belief. Beyond financial stability, this path holds personal significance as it aligns with our family’s legacy of service, care and while making a meaningful difference in others’ lives. Nursing offers flexibility, allowing me to balance work and family responsibilities. With a BSN, I can access diverse career opportunities, from bedside care to leadership roles, ensuring long-term career growth and stability. Moreover, by becoming an RN, I’m setting an example for my child, teaching the value of determination, education, and compassion in pursuing one’s dreams.

Financial debt of creates a suffocating aspiration and dimming hopes. Every decision feels like going through a maze of limitations, where dreams collide with the harsh reality of repayment schedules and interest rates. It’s a constant battle against mounting bills, sacrificing present pleasures for the sake of future stability. The stress is palpable and infiltrating every aspect of life. Sleepless nights are spent calculating budgets, searching for a glimmer of relief. The burden of debt looms large, casting a shadow over even the smallest joys. Breaking free seems an insurmountable challenge. In extending a heartfelt appeal, I urge you to consider the transformative impact of your generosity. Your financial contribution can be a beacon of hope for the less fortunate, illuminating their path towards a brighter tomorrow.
