Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

He took my belongings

For many years I’ve always gave my child’s father the benefit of the doubt, always thinking he would change.

It took me 3 yrs to finally get the strength to walk away. I thought he understand so I kept it at a cordial level with him because of our child.

On Thursday evening I was not at home when he entered my premises unbeknown to me. He had done this because I was out with a friend and didn’t know where I was exactly and wanted the address and I refuse to give it to him because we are not together. After continuously calling and me not answering I got a call from my oldest saying he’s in my home and took my stuff. I then texted him and said to leave my home. When I got home and walked into my room my dresser was empty, my closet was empty except a few of my heels. He took my work uniform, my dirty laundry and everything out of my undergarments nightstand. My work shoes, some other sneakers, my ipad and laptop. I called the police over and charges were made for burglary because he doesnt live here. I’ve got a restraining order. He had left me with just the stuff I had on. I am so tired of everything he have put me and my kids through. I am asking for help to atleast buy back some of my stuff. I’m currently seeking to move and lose all contact with him.

My cash app is $ItsABossLady

Thank you in advance❤️

Help to pay off debts

Hi everyone,

I won’t take up too much of your time, I know that most of these requests probably all sound the same and eventually it gets a bit annoying to read. I live in Belgium, I’m going on 30 and this is incredibly unpleasant but sometimes you just have to ask for help. My mother and I are in debts as a result of my father’s reckless behaviour. He died in 2020 from cancer and left us alone with all his debts. My mother is the only person I have left, as last year my older sister died in childbirth. I work full-time and combine that with an undeclared job. My mother, who’s 69, works full-time even though she’s at retirement age, because we’re trying to make ends meet. Today the total of the debt is around €31.000. And we just can’t seem to pay this off, even though all we do is work to be able to pay this off. My mom is getting sick and we aren’t even able to go to the doctors as we’ve been blacklister there too. I just wish my mother didn’t have to endure this kind of suffering. I don’t really care about myself, I’m young, I’ll recover, but seeing my mother getting more and more exhausted/sick every day doing jobs that are not appropriate for her age, destroys me. If any good souls come across my message, please help us. I know you don’t owe us anything but I beg you. I am willing to show you proof of all the debts. And even pay you back in installments. May God touch your hearts. Thank you

From single mom to community nourished: funding our urban farm

My name is Valerie, and I’m a single mom with a dream that could change everything for my kids and me. I recently finished a life-changing farming class offered by a nonprofit for minorities, like myself – I’m a proud member of a Native American tribe. The biggest hurdle during the class? Land. We learned so much about sustainable agriculture, but finding a place to grow was tough. That’s where my idea sparked: a unique urban farm focusing on heritage vegetables and herbs known for their longevity and health benefits, especially nutrient-dense varieties. Imagine fresh, flavourful produce rich in vitamins and minerals, grown right here in our community!

My chance came through a surprising auction. I snagged a property for just $2,000 in a small town, part of the historic Illinois iron belt. The land is perfect – good growing season, ample water access. Shockingly, the house itself wasn’t a complete teardown. The foundation and roof are solid, with no major exterior damage. Here’s the catch: the inside was gutted before foreclosure. No plumbing, electrical, or even basic walls. Funding would be a game-changer. With it, I can fix up the house, providing a stable and secure home for my children. I should be able to accomplish the majority of the work needed for under $10,000. Just as  importantly, it would be the launchpad for our urban farm.

This farm isn’t just about us. It has the potential to nourish our whole community with these special herbs and teas, becoming a future business opportunity. Fresh, healthy options can be hard to come by, and I want to provide that for our neighbors. Plus, this project could be a source of inspiration for others. I believe in the power of gardening and traditional knowledge to bring people together and create a healthier future. Any help, big or small, would be a massive step towards this dream. Thank you for considering us. PayPal.me/valsworld82

Help to Provide Home

Hello! First off, I want to thank you for your time and consideration. I am a single mom asking for help to afford a suitable home for my son and myself. So, Here’s my story and why I’m asking for help. I was once as wild and free as a sweet little girl was made to be. I grew up barefoot (by choice, I never liked to keep shoes on) in the country with an intense love for the outdoors, beautiful flowers, butterflies, kitties, and all the interesting creatures. My family was quite religious and protective, and somewhat stern but amiss all this I grew up spending my days in my own little wonderful paradise of a world. I was that little girl with long bouncy hair who skipped through life without worry, full of love and happiness to share. Then as time went on I grew into an independent young woman with pretty decent morals but a need for fun, laughter, and soul fulfilling experiences. Every opportunity I could find to stretch my wings and fly, I did. Until one day I met a handsome man who loved me and left me at four months pregnant… Yes, he took off, abandoned us with nothing. Which lead me to go back to my family for help. But since I wasn’t married and I refused to settle for someone I didn’t love, my son and I were stamped “a sin” from our family and community. Outdated, right?!! My thoughts exactly but that didn’t stop the ugly rumors and comments. My sister told people I got pregnant walking the streets for drugs.. How mean is that?  First off, where Im from we don’t have streets. We have long winding roads that I’m too scared to walk afraid that some coyote or bobcat might jump out and get me! Second, don’t do drugs, no need or desire to do so! A family acquaintance I grew up with shouted across our local grocery store, where I was working while pregnant, “Have you figured out who the father is yet?” Eyes filled with tears and shame to show my face, I knew I was in this walk alone. So as a young mother without a clue what I was doing and no help from those who I thought loved us, I went to school and achieved an associates degree. Where I work my self 40 hours a week to barely make ends meet and many times only be able to eat ramen noodles and crackers. My son is well mannered and loved. We have a tight relationship, because all we’ve ever had is each other. He is my gift from God, and he loves me more than I could ever deserve. I want him to have what he deserves. With prices and cost of living climbing, I’m no longer able to afford rent or a house payment or even save for a down payment. I make just enough to Not qualify for financial assistance from the government. As he grows older, his needs become more expensive and I just want to give him a life and stable home he can be proud of. We’ve had to move 8 different times due to either not being in a suitable living space to dangerous creepy neighbors, or simply unable to afford it. We just want to feel safe and at home, in our own home. Away from the hate and turned up noses. Not someones basement or paying rent for use of a small musty bedroom. I’m not saying I’m a Queen or too good or anything, but I don’t find it suitable to live with roaches and rodents. So if you find it in your heart to be generous and help us purchase our own home, know that you are the difference in our lives that we’ve been praying for. Someone to believe in us enough to give a chance for stability and security, and freedom… May God bless you and your family. paypal.me/thx4urlov

PLEASE, I PROMISE TO PAY IT FORWARD WHEN I CAN…..

paypal.me/somedayzsun

As a single mother of four incredible children aged 7, 9, 15, and 16, my daily life is a testament to the power of love and resilience. However, despite my unwavering commitment to my family, we’ve encountered a series of challenges that have tested our strength and unity.

Our family vehicle, an essential lifeline for our daily routines and emergencies, is in dire need of repairs. The cost to make it roadworthy again is a staggering $5,400, covering critical issues like brakes and rotors. This vehicle isn’t just a means of transportation; it’s a vessel for our family’s safety and well-being. My children, sensitive and observant, feel the weight of our situation, especially when the car’s condition becomes a source of embarrassment at school drop-offs.

The absence of a comfortable living space further compounds our difficulties. After leaving a tumultuous relationship, we found ourselves with only a worn-out loveseat in our living room. The memory of our family couch, destroyed in a moment of spite, lingers painfully. This lack of seating has subtly eroded the quality time we once cherished in our family room.

Financially, we’re struggling to stay afloat, with overdue bills piling up. My personal battle with addiction, although a chapter I’m proud to have turned with over 3.5 years of recovery, has unfortunately hindered my employment opportunities.  I have a business diploma and I worked for 1o years in the government as a administrative assistant.  I want to get a job, so… In this time of rebuilding, I’ve devised a business plan to launch a dog/cat clean-up service, which promises not only to provide for my family but also to serve our community. However, the success of this venture hinges on having a reliable vehicle.

I’m reaching out for assistance not just for immediate relief but for the investment in a future where I can provide for my children independently and contribute positively to our community. Any support would be a beacon of hope, enabling us to repair our vehicle, foster my entrepreneurial aspirations, and, most importantly, restore the joy and unity in our family’s daily life.

Your generosity can help turn our struggles into a story of triumph and determination. In gratitude, I pledge to pay forward the kindness received, ensuring that your help extends beyond our family to touch the lives of others. Please consider supporting us in moving forward, not just to survive but to thrive.

Betrayal & Left with nothing! Please help me get back on my feet for my son!

Hello All,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today with a heavy heart to share a tragic situation that has befallen my family and me, leaving us in a position where we must ask for help.

Several months ago, my son’s father, my partner of many years, revealed that he had been cheating on me. Not only did he betray my trust and our relationship, but he also made the devastating decision to leave us, taking everything we owned with him. He emptied our bank accounts, along with taking everything from our home and leaving us with nothing. This sudden departure has left us in a precarious financial situation, as we are now without the necessities for daily living. We are in desperate need of help to rebuild our lives and provide a stable environment for my son.

One of our most pressing needs is furnishing our house. With no furniture, appliances, or household items, we are struggling to create a comfortable and functional living space. We need essentials such as beds, tables, chairs, kitchen appliances, and basic household items to make our house a home.

In addition to furnishing our home, we also need assistance with covering our monthly expenses. With the sudden loss of income and the unexpected financial burden of starting over, we are struggling to pay bills, buy groceries, and meet other basic needs.

I understand that times are tough for everyone, and it is not easy to ask for help. However, I am reaching out to you because I believe that with your support, we can overcome this difficult period and rebuild our lives. Any assistance you can provide, whether it be financial support, donations of household items, or even just words of encouragement, would be greatly appreciated.

His departure has had a profound impact on our family. The emotional toll of his betrayal and abandonment has been immense, leaving me to navigate feelings of anger, sadness, and confusion, all while trying to remain strong for my son.

The financial repercussions of his actions have been equally devastating. With no savings, no assets, and no financial support from him, we are struggling to make ends meet. We are finding it increasingly difficult to pay for rent, utilities, groceries, and other necessities. The sudden loss of income and resources has left us in a precarious financial situation, unsure of how we will be able to rebuild our lives.

I am reaching out to you today to ask for your help. We are in desperate need of financial assistance to help us get back on our feet and create a stable and secure environment for my son. Any help you can provide, whether it be a monetary donation, assistance with bills, or even just a kind word of support, would be greatly appreciated.

I want to assure you that any assistance you provide will be used wisely and gratefully. My priority is to provide a safe and loving home for my son, and your support would mean the world to us as we navigate this difficult time.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and consider our situation. Your kindness and generosity would make a world of difference to us as we work to rebuild our lives.

With heartfelt thanks,

Ms.Hopper

Rebuilding from Domestic Violence

I lived in a marriage that was domestically violent. He set out to break me in more ways than one. But, I’m a Believer that knows God’s design for marriage wasn’t that. I am striving to get my freedoms back and to help other women and children do the same.

For years and years, I lived with, then married, and endured domestic violence in a marriage.  I was not brought up in a home experiencing a man putting his hands on a woman.  Gaslighting, undermining, and coercive control were not the family dynamic I had as a child.  Why then, God, was this happening to me?  I now know why.  I was meant to endure what I have to be able to be a testimony for women with children who need a sign of hope.  God knows he’s given me a voice. He knows I stand up for what I believe in; and THAT’S who I’ve been even as a young child. I will speak up for the underdog. I will be the wind beneath the wings of the broken down and the broken-hearted. I’ll help the oppressed find a better way.  I’ll help them seek refuge as I’ve done for myself and my children. I help them navigate this world of finding a job after being a stay-at-home-Mom.  I’ll guide them with resources for counseling for them and for their children.

I am navigating these waters now and know it is a part of my life’s mission to help these women – these survivors – find a better way.  They need a sign that they too can get out of domestically violent situations.  My testimony is validation to them that: it’s not their fault, they’re not crazy, and they deserve safety, security, and love.

My former abuser and I have 3 daughters.  He has yet to pay the child support his children deserve.  Children do not deserve to go without.  We all know that single Mothers’ incomes don’t match that of our male counterparts.  “…median family income of married-couple families with children was about $101,560 in 2021, whereas their single-father counterparts had median total family income of $50,942 and single-mother counterparts had just $32,586 (U.S. Census Bureau 2021 and here).”

Your help is needed; not only for me and my children, but for thousands of women across this nation. To start, my goal is to help 10 women and their children secure a safe apartment or home by paying their initial deposit and 1st month’s rent to give them time to get their footing on rebuilding a new life.

Your support will also help me be able to provide my time and resources to these women as I help them navigate getting employment, counseling, schooling for their children, legal fees, clothing, food, transportation, and all of the facets necessary to rebuild a new life outside of domestic violence.

Thank you for your time, consideration, and for your support on this mission. CashApp $MiaConsults

Single mom with two amazing boys in need of a car

https://paypal.me/fortunatofam?country.x=FI&locale.x=fi_FI

Greetings. I am a single mom, raising two really wonderful young men (aged 9 and 5). We live abroad from my country of origin, no family around, no friends. The kid’s father doesn’t participate in our life in any way. I am desperately looking for a job, but to get one we have to move, and the job offer demands a car. I had one, until it got too old (1998 model) & just stopped running. Now to move, get kids to preschool, school & get to the work I need to have a car. After paying all the bills & rent I now have only enough money to get food, I have no idea where else to cut spending to save enough for a running car.. honestly recently it all just feels like too much. I am a praying & Godloving 32yo-woman, I give my kids everything I have, mostly it is my time & love, but sometimes I feel like I don’t know if this ever going to change.. I have been donating to food charity organizations myself for years, because I know there’s others in need too. Now I find myself on the other side of this & it’s a hard pill to swallow, but if someone out there is looking for an opportunity to place a donation & be sure that it’s going to help a nice family to get through – we will be deeply, profoundly grateful for any help, & I’ll personally pray for every one of you. Sending love, peace & many blessings to all.

Support for monthly bills

Hey everyone,

I’m a single mom trying to survive this very expensive world. I’m working full time and trying to provide everything for my daughter but I found myself unable to make it through the month. We are living in an apartment until July and then we have to move and I don’t have anything saved to do that. I’m getting into more and more debt because my income is not enough. I’ve tried government help but I don’t fit the requirements to get aid. One thing that could really help us is to paid my car loan. If I have a chance to paid that I would have more cash monthly ($400 more monthly) and be able to make it through the month and hopefully start paying my debts. Im

an immigrant and I don’t have any family here. We are alone. I’ve always believed in the kindness of humans and the power of community so I hope someone can help us :)

What I’m owing is $12,762 . Anything can help us enormously. Thank you in advance <3

I Wasn’t Ready

It begin in 2023 when my son was in an out of the mental institution due to sleep deprivation. Along with me had to quit my job for death threats from an employee, which was never advised by the manager. The operational manager called to check upon me and that’s when the truth set me free. We fell into Eviction status in September 2023. The same month I was hired on an assignment for Cruise LLC, my son hired on at Daikain. In November my son and I paid full amount to remain in the apartment. The day of making the payment my son was rushed to the ER because sleep deprivation had creep in again. My son remain in the mental health institution for 2 weeks. Now we back in Eviction status once again. My check was short for needing to support  my son and now he’s incapable to work. So I file an appeal. My son get out of the hospital everything going good. February 2024 we have the final decision virtual court date to rectify the situation.  Keep in mind $3284 of our money is recovered by court registry. We owed $5167, I agreed to make full payments the same day. The manager of the apartments rejected and ask for possession of the apartment with non-judment. My heart just dropped, we worked so hard. I couldn’t believe my ears heard such words. I went to work with  dismantle. The next day I apply for an apartment. Denied due to a previous apartment, I  was making monthly payments on because my son had an mental break down. One of the neighbors reported him not knowing the true effect of the behavior.  They asked us to move one month before the lease was up. Wow! So now we are living in an AIRBND. I walked away from a legit job for a job position I accepted that end up being a scam. My son works but don’t make enough to cover my car note, car insurance, cell phone, food, and to remain in the AIRBNB. So we are in desperate need of help, my family despising me because I chose to further my education become more of an skillfully independent person instead of living off the government.  Which most of them do or just low life’s with no good intentions. We have one more payment to make towards the previous apartment. Which we don’t have either, inorder to move forward. With your help it can keep us at a flow, until this blows over in about 60 days. I’m diligently seeking employment. However, I’m looking into medical field as a billing coding. I’ve searched online for programs to take classes and recieve a certification. If anyone who reads this can find it in your hearts to help, please believe as God is my witness.  The money will be used righteously.  Thanks for all you do!

In need of help to secure housing for myself and my kids

Hello. I’m writing to ask for help. Though I don’t have much myself, I tend to prefer to be the one helping. I have no choice but to swallow my pride this time.

I am a single mom of three amazing kids. I’ve gotten out of an abusive relationship in which I was a stay at home mom. I have since struggled to provide normal steady housing for my children and I. I am basically out of money due to paying for hotels. I do work as much as I can but it isn’t enough to make ends meet and have anything left to save. I am hopeful in raising money to secure housing for myself and my kids. I believe it will take more than the average person due to low credit scores and income not meeting requirements that any rental requires. Times sure have changed. It’s become impossible to rent iny situation. I just want my kids to be comfortable in their own home and not have to wonder where they’ll be staying next. It breaks my heart. They deserve so much more. They have learned to appreciate the little we have and I know if we finally do get to rent the our own place, they will be over the moon happy and appreciative of that. I don’t have anyone close that I can stay with. I don’t have anyone to even talk to. I’m desperate to make things better for my kids. I truly hope you can find it in your heart to choose to help out cause. We won’t ever forget it. And I plan to teach my kids to pay it forward later on down the line. I am so grateful to anyone who’s taken the time to read this.

I will use 100%of any donation towards housing for my kids and I. If we for any reason have more than needed I will use the remainder to purchase beds and any other furniture needed for my kids and I.

My PayPal is @jenceline.  I believe I read that I’m supposed to add this information in here.

Thank you so much,

Former teacher and mom of two young children in need of a temporary boost to propel us to self sufficiency

Hello and thank you for reading my post.

I am a former public school teacher and mom to a daughter who is in first grade and a 3-year-old son.

After 7 years of considering it a success just to barely make ends meet (and never being able to actually pay down debt, despite having faithfully made my payments for several years) I have finally reached a point where it is necessary for me to swallow my pride and ask for help for the sake of my two children.

I feel that I have now painted myself into a corner and I see no way out.

*In the fall, I had applied for a financial hardship program (which would have either helped with rent or groceries) and was denied, because they said my childrens’ father made just over the limit. (However, his income is far from consistent, due to the fact that he works in the restaurant industry.)

*Therefore, after years of never missing a payment, I finally had to stop making my credit card payments a few months ago (and I have no money to even settle with them). So, my credit is now shot.

*In my checking account, I currently don’t even have the money for this month’s rent (which is over $2100/mo and does not include any utilities) for the 1 bedroom apartment that I share with my children. (I am already 6 days behind and will incur fees after the 10th.) I don’t have the rent money due to the fact that my childrens’ father’s work (in the resturant industry) has been very slow for the last few months. (He also drives for Uber, but still has little to provide for us.)

*My electricity bills have not been paid for the last few months and are now at over $485, and I received a notice today that I may lose power on the 15th of this month if it is not paid.

*My home gas bill and car insurance bills are also due, and I have been shocked at how much money has been eaten up from groceries.

*I would have liked to have found a part-time job to help cover expenses, but I could not afford childcare and, therefore, would not have actually brought home any money in the end.

My two children are sleeping next to me as I write this and when I look at them, all I feel is a sense of being a complete failure. That is what drove me here tonight. All pride vanishes when you realize you have failed your kids.

The main wish I have right now for myself and my kids is to have enough money to have the possibility to move and find somewhere more affordable where we can start over. (We currently live in the metropolitan region of a major city.)

My goal is to move somewhere where I can support myself and my children without needing to rely on their dad’s inconsistent earnings. I want to get myself to a place where I can be financially independent on one salary and be able to cover all expenses for myself and my children so that we are never in this situation again.

The irony is that what could have potentially prevented this from happening is having something that you actually can’t put a price on, which is a strong community of supportive people around you.

I suppose that is what I was thinking tonight when I desperately searched for a solution.

Thank you for reading my post and for considering being part of that “community” that my children and I have needed all along (and I know I am not the only one).

When I am back on my feet again, I will be paying any kindness we receive here forward to another mom in need.

Subject: Urgent Appeal for Financial Support

Dear Benefactors,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you with a sense of urgency and vulnerability, seeking your compassion during a difficult period.

Over the past few months, unforeseen circumstances have led to a financial crisis for me. As a result, I find myself struggling to cover essential bills, including rent, and utilities. The weight of these obligations has become overwhelming, and I am reaching out to you in the hope that you might extend a helping hand.

If you find it in your heart to assist, I assure you that your generosity will not go unnoticed. I am committed to using any funds received responsibly and transparently. Additionally, I am actively exploring ways to improve my financial stability moving forward.

Thank you for taking the time to read my plea. Your kindness would mean more to me than words can express. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to reach out. Here is my pay pal account ID:  paypal.me/shiely67

A place to call home

I appreciate your consideration and taking the time to read my story.

Five years ago I made the decision to leave my controlling and mentally abusive husband. I made mistakes and did not protect myself and my assets.  His parents helped us finance our home, and though I was paying toward the mortgage, my name is not on the deed. In my efforts to keep peace, my children and I moved into an apartment where I had to acquire new furniture and other home necessities. Using credit to finance these things, it has been a struggle to pay on that debt while financially maintaining the everyday needs of the household. This has prevented me from being able to save money so that we can have a comfortable home of our own. As the years fly by, I feel like that dream is still nowhere within reach. But I am trying not to feel defeated. I am not a person that asks for help. I have always figured out how to do things on my own so this isn’t easy for me. But if hoping on the kindness of strangers can change our lives, I’d be a fool not to try.
