  Sorry that I have to come to ask for help in the time before the holidays. Stress dad of 2 little ones, and a wife that’s been sick with (long COVID) for almost 4 years coming up this coming April.

I’m coming here to see if I can get some help from you kind-hearted people. I’ve had to call out of work a little too much this month to be able to help take care of my wife. She has flare-ups that make it extremely hard for her to get out of bed.

We’re going to be behind on our rent this month, not including some of the bills and food. I’ll have to play around to figure out what gets paid or not this month.

All I’m asking for is help of $5000.00. This would help if I had to call out again during December also. Once the amount is hit, I will take down this request.

I was recently working at a med spa part time offering laser hair removal. Upon being hired I had my own mobile teeth whitening business. The owner at the time was happy for me to promote said business within the spa. Business cards, signs, talking with clients etc. I then sold the teeth whitening business to help pay for bills, I then started a faith based apparel business on 8/26/23. 3 days afterwards, the owner has me sign a contract stating she is no longer going to tag me in any reels associated with the spa. As she doesnt want her clients connecting the two ( my faith based business and the spa) Religious discrimination… Few weeks later she then FIRES me, claims because I wasnt happy… I had all 5 star review’s from my clients raving about me. As i loved working there. Once I asked what the real reason was and questioned if it was because my business is Christian, her whole tone completely changed and she kicked me out IMMEDIATELY, she then blocked my personal and business page before I even got to the car.

 

So If she fired me because I “wasnt happy” then why did she feel the need to block me? Why was she ok with me promoting the teeth whitening business but not the faith based business? Which I never did. I never had business cards, signs or anything.

 

I have reported her to DORA, I have been unemployed ever since 10-1-23. I need assistance asap for bills and to now fund my faith based business. It has truly given me more motivation than ever to keep going , plant seeds and get Gods word out

Hey. So basically I have lost all of my money because I have been hacked and my bank wont do anything about it. I have been trying to do freelancing but at this rate that seems to be going nowhere. I am a working single man having a hard time catching up past due rent.  I have lived in the same house for the past ten years.  My landlord has been very patient with me, but I am now facing eviction.  This summer I was in a car accident, totaled my vehicle, and unable to work.  I fell three months behind on rent.  After healing from my injuries, I was able to get another vehicle and I am now back to work.  However, I have been unable to bring my rent current.  I learned about this site and hope someone will consider helping me out as I don’t see any way to catch up.  I had very little savings and it was depleted paying utility bills and groceries while I was out of work.

I have never really asked for help as I have always done everything on my own. I am a single mother and my daughter recently graduated college. I have done everything  I could do. To make thins go faster for anyone who just want to get to the point. I’ll split this into immediate problem and how we got here. As of now today is 11,8,2023. I truly hate asking for help from outside sources and it took me a few minutes to decide to do this because I want to be the one to protect us and guard our future but I truly hope that someone helps us out I love her so much. I don’t want her to give up on her dream just because of my shortcomings or other peoples when I’m able to help in some way.

To get straight to the problem we are $612 short off rent and now have to pay $814 within 4 days (5 when originally given the letter) or leave within 30 days. If that happens she will have to move back with her unstable family situation; she’ll have to drop nursing school, which would make all of our current sacrifices and payments over the past 2 years pointless.

As for what started this chain of events it started in June and July when my mother was doing her physical therapy, she’s blind so I would have to call out from time to time to go up and help her out. My current job at that time as a banquet server politely asked me to choose between them or her in a strange company kind of way. I had to leave and switch jobs and used what I had saved up for rent for the next 2 months. Then I got a job as an account executive for “Global Standards”. I’m not sure if they were a scam kind of place but they allegedly have a lot of branch’s I only had 1 meeting with. After completing training we were supposed to get $600 for sign on, $300 for each week. They worded it that way but we were only getting the $600 after our 10th day. On my 10th day the people who were hired the same day as I was and myself were terminated for not reaching a quota. This information wasn’t given to us nor in the contract but because they wrote it off as performance no one can take action against it, despite having us outside during the hottest time recorded in summer and with limited resources and poor training. My end pay for those 2 weeks of heat was $63 from commission.

I spent the next couple of weeks hunting for jobs intensely. I found a ton of jobs that accepted me like being a travel agent and a leasing agent, even real estate accepted me but I had to pay for rent with what I had left over so I could pay for the licensing. From there I ended up at Target, fulfillment to be exact. The job was honestly just standing, walking, fixing, communicating, easy stuff. I was the top person on the team for 2 weeks according to my team lead. Then fall pushed in and we had a rush of customers and orders so I just kept keeping up. One I came to work and there were 4 orders for pickup with only 20 minutes and less for 30+ items each. The rule from orientation was to pick the “lowest timer” but my coworkers were blatantly avoiding them. I picked them myself and only got one on time and the rest were completed but a little bit over the time limit; that was my first strike. I told the leaders what was going on and they said they would handle it. Then it kept happening from there and they terminated me for performance. I made sure I documented the problems and got evidence with witnesses, so I brought them up during my final meeting with the store manager. Even with that and eye witnesses they said it was too late and they would pay me for the 3 hours I was clocked in and I still never got that pay.

It’s nearing the end of October and my solution to this was since I still had $290 left and she was still working as a barista we could just save what she made and what I had to pay Novembers rent. Our lease ends in December and to avoid the rent problems and the fact our current housing doesn’t match the pay. We have been looking for a new place since August and had planned on moving to one of them. We realized that isn’t possible without help so we started looking for a housemate in early October. We already have my mom as a Cosigner for the lease even though she is struggling herself because her mom has a kind of “One tracked mind” for their cultural standards. We found a housemate that we are planning on meeting this Saturday. We decided it best for us all to stick together so we have more people paying rent and we all get to save money; mostly for her nursing school supplies.
Here’s problem 2: On the last week of October her car coincidentally broke down while at work and she had to uber back home and back to work as well as get it fixed as if the car was playing a sick joke on us with it’s timing.  Her mom said she would help her pay for the car repairs since she is the one who gave her the sisters no longer used car. But she somehow forgot the same day and ignored her, so all of our November rent money on her end is gone. I paid my end but because we are late and have a time limit we could have paid it but instead of having to pay $600 left we need to pay $800. We can’t use her daily pay by the time limit because it wont be enough by then and we would still need at the most $650. We only need to be here for one more month until we move with our housemate in December.

It just feels like everything has been going downhill since I made my choice of working at an office place over a barber shop I applied for and I can’t help but think it’s my fault we are in this situation. In all honesty it feels good to put this down somewhere because it’s hard to talk about this annoying feeling with her and this frustration while thinking it’s all on me that this is happening and all on me to fix it. This may be ironic but I am truly begging that anyone help us, if not us help her, help me help her achieve her goal and her dream. I truly don’t want all the stress and tire she has been feeling from working and going to classes back and forth with only one day of rest which she doesn’t even use for resting but instead uses for studying to go to waste. We only need $800 at the most, if that’s too much even $600 and I’ll do some type of odd job if I can find where to get it. Even if that’s too much $400 is fine and I’ll figure out the rest somehow. Please just help me help her.

My Mama’s ex boyfriend stole $30,000 that she had for a house so we rent now. But we are 8 days late and the landlord tripled the rent if we don’t pay 4,000 by Friday we are evicted. Hello , first thank you for even having somewhere to share what’s been going on and for offering a helping hand. My husband was let go from his job a few weeks ago and during that time we had already been struggling to get our hot water cut back on as well as our cellphones , once his check arrived it was only $192 and our rent was due soon. I received my check of $603 after we were expecting them to correct his check after he was fired and they did not. We are 25 and 26 newly wed and our just trying to make it out here in Atlanta , Georgia. We have a late fee on our rent of $200 and my car is on notice for repossession with $590 past due bringing just our rent to $1700 not including our car ..with only $800 to our names. We have only 2 days before we are sent an eviction notice and I cannot deal with the shame of allowing my mother to gloat. Hello, I am a new Mother, who has been experiencing postpartum depression. Not just from hormonal changes, but I also lost my sister last year in a very horrific way and 4 days after giving birth I was fired from my job for reasons unknown. I was trying to take care of my grandmother but because of a medical issue, I can no longer do that. I have tried to get a loan and have not had luck there either. Hello, about three months ago I was let go from my job due to my supervisor disliking my sexual orientation. I had been work at the company for a little over a year and I never had any complaints or problems with any of my coworkers. However once the supervisor found out from other people I was gay he began to treat me unfairly compared to my other coworkers. I would constantly get picked on and reprimanded for “not doing my job” by this supervisor when I had never had any prior problems since I had started. I would let it go because I really needed the job but  I had finally had enough and went to HR. Going to HR was probably the worst thing I could’ve done they told me I didn’t have enough evidence of what I was claiming but that they would investigate further. They did not investigate at all and all they ended up doing was telling the supervisor what I had said was going on. I believed me going to HR would be confidential but I found out they had told him when I was called into his office and was reprimanded once again for gossiping about him. At this point I knew HR would not help and I was basically going to have to endure what was going on in order to keep my job. This only got worse. He would mess with my schedule and have me close at 1am and open the next day at 6am. He would make me unload deliveries on my own when we had someone specifically hired to do so and I kept constantly being picked on whenever he stepped into the store. In August of 2023 I had asked for my days off because I had planned a small trip. I was given the days but when I came back I was stopped my my supervisor and was told I was being suspended. I was not allowed to work and a couple weeks later I was called by HR and they let me know that due to complaints by the supervisor I was no longer going to be employed by the company and they let me go. This completely blind sided me and I was left without a job. I’ve been looking for a job for these past months and have not had any luck with call backs. While working at this company I was living paycheck to paycheck and now that I’m unemployed I have no money for this months rent or bills and I am scared for what will happen if I don’t find a job soon. I’ve tried to apply for unemployment but was denied due to being fired from my previous job. Loving who I love, my sexual preference, should not be any reason to fire me. I am a hard worker and good person. It is unjust and unfair, I was born this way and I can’t change who I am. This whole situation has put me into a deep depression and I’m anxious and scared because I am struggling to make ends meet, my rent is past due and I was only given a couple days and to pay $2,700 and right now I only have $100 of that and I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what else I can do so I’m hoping this reaches someone who is willing to help. At this point I’m looking for a miracle to help pull me out of this situation.
