I’d like to begin with a thank you for anyone who takes the time to review my post, as well as, all those choosing to assist in relieving my current situation.
I am a single mother who has been going through an extremely difficult divorce for the past 5.5 years from a toxic abusive man and I’m not even close to a finalization. I have been working hard rebuilding for myself & our child to regain stability for the both of us. As he assists with absolutely nothing for either one of us. Regardless I believe all things within this life is for your betterment so, I choose to be as positive & understanding of the fact that my freedom, dignity & respect is worth far more than being in a dysfunctional relationship. I refuse to be bitter and blame, I much rather become better, forgive and move on within my life. I unfortunately had a ton of weight placed upon me as a result of all that has occured. While doing my best to turn my lemons into lemonade.
This past Spring I became ill and was diagnosed with Graves my levels were at a critical state and the medication I was placed on created horrible side effects. I was immediately pulled off and scheduled for radioactive treatment(s). Due to my health issue & ability to function at 100%, I had to take a leave of absence from my job in pharma & let go of my lawyer. I could no longer afford the legal costs I had been paying to release myself from my marriage. I held a position as a compounding technician in formulation for 3 years within the corporation.
The endocrinologist stated that the treatments should resolve the problem and force me into Hashimotos, which is more live with able opposed to Graves and the toll it can take on a person. Long story short the high levels of stress for caring and maintaining my household & not having my typical income coming in combined with the treatments. Had overall little to no effect on my levels. My numbers began to waiver between critical and the cusp again within 2 months of the treatment. Due to no resolved outcome a new suggestion for treatment prior to needing to consider the need for surgery was made.
I required more time out & instead my job let me go. I was completely blindsided the short term leave I was on completely stopped paying me & my endocrinologist & primary physician’s were not willing to release me back to a full time workable schedule. I did not even have the ability to work in that way, but I would have forced myself if I had no choice. I decided to live of my savings hoping it would not be completely exhausted. Unfortunately I ran out a month ago I applied for financial assistance in a multitude of ways and was approved for state health insurance and some food nothing else came through.
My doctors have finally released me due to the current medication restabilizing my levels (a complete health blessing for the holidays). I’ve been seeking employment opportunities & applied for unemployment when I was let go and 3 months later I am still awaiting a determination due to PA unemployment being so far behind.
I am doing my best to correct the situation I have found myself in as fast as possible without it having a ripple effect on my health. I have very good credit, I have an excellent record with the payments on all my responsibility’s, no debt previously to squashing all of it and now I can not pay a thing, with no savings, no income & no aid, I cannot even apply for a loan due to lacking the ability to pay it back currently.
I spoke with my landlord I pay $1800 a month about being late for the first time ever and needing some time under my circumstances – he stated he felt bad for me and my child but he had bills as do I and he must evict me! I’m an excellent tenant, never late, never a problem and that’s how he works with me – so now in the dead of winter I’m supposed to leave with no money and the ability to go no where with my child.
I can not cover my car insurance so that is being canceled first week of December if I don’t come up with the payment $380 a month. Then I still have phone, sewer, garbage, electric, water and on. To run my place costs me $3,500 a month & it’s the holidays which I can not even consider decorating, tree, presents and all that encompasses – our present this year is stability and maintaining a roof over our head until I find employment.
If anyone can find it in their heart to assist me in my situation, I thank you from the bottom of my heart immensely. I have never been in this position before & ask for assistance to get out of it. My goal is to get back on even footing so I never wind up in this place again.
