When you sign a lease agreement, you do not intend to break it. However things can happen, Health problems can keep you from work, you can lose your job, or unexpected finances come up. The result is that you cannot pay rent. You may also want to break a lease to get out from underneath a bad landlord. Or to get away from a neighbor. It may not be expected, but there can be times when breaking a lease is necessary.

Breaking a lease is usually grounds for eviction. The landlord or property management is not always going to consider the circumstances. Knowing your rights can help you deal with the process properly. This is useful in cases where you feel that you are being evicted unjustly.

Here are six important tips to protect yourself should you face an eviction.

  • Know the laws

Become familiar with the laws in your state. Each state has their own version of the Landlord and Tenant Act. This will serve as a guide to understanding the relationship between you and your landlord. It will contain an eviction section to focus on, but be sure to read the entire document. You can get a copy through the Attorney General’s website or by going to a local courthouse.

Pay close attention to the details regarding evictions, especially anything that constitutes an illegal eviction. In general, the landlord has to give a certain amount of notice and you have a window of time to correct the situation. Not allowing or adhering to this is a violation. An illegal eviction is not allowed in most states. If your landlord tries to evict you outside of the process, you can sue them. For example, if they change the locks on you or remove any property.

  • Keep records

From the day you move in, you should keep documents and records of all interactions with your landlord. This is beneficial should anything like an eviction come up. Keep every notice or letter they give you. Record the time, date, and nature of any verbal communications too. Always keep cashed checks and receipts as well as maintenance records.

It is also a good idea to take photos of the property when you move in, or once any grievance occurs. Some landlords have been known to claim damage to property and claim it was done by you. The more documentation and evidence you have, the better your case will be against your landlord or eviction. Not all landlords try devious tactics, but it is best to be prepared in the event they do.

  • Consult with an attorney

It helps to get legal advice during an eviction, even though you do not need representation for the case. Use a private attorney if you can afford one or check with Legal Aid for assistance. Most cities have Legal Aid offices and will be happy to provide consultation services. You get information and advice for a reduced price and sometimes free. Be sure to take all your documents and evidence so they can help you set up your case. Running through the details with them gets you prepared mentally for the case ahead.

  • Go to the hearing

You need to go to an eviction hearing in court. You cannot be evicted without this and your landlord is responsible for scheduling this. Do not miss this hearing. If you do not show, the judge automatically rules in favor of the landlord. If you go to the hearing, you may have a chance of beating the eviction. You will never know if you decide to pass. When you show up, the landlord also cannot claim damage against you or any other fines.

Make sure you are prepared before you go. Plan to proceed in the same way you discussed with your attorney. Have all documents ready to present and establish your defense before you get there. Dress professionally and arrive early.

  • Handling an eviction

In some cases, the judge will rule in favor of the landlord. Even if you have all documents and a good defense, you need to be prepared for this outcome. Make arrangements ahead of time to stay somewhere else and plant to rent a storage unit. If you have already found another rental, you do not need to worry about that. BE prepared to leave the property quickly. Every state allows an amount of time for eviction and in some cases it can be as little as 48 hours.

  • Getting another place

Evictions can be reported to credit bureaus. This can hurt your chances of renting again. Most landlords do not report this but there are other ways credit companies can get this info. There are companies that collect information and sell it to prospective landlords.

Be prepared for your next landlord to know about the eviction. Don’t plan on hiding it. Explain the circumstances to them and be honest. You can present all the same documents you had for the hearing to make your case. It does not do any good to talk bad about the previous landlord, especially if the eviction was your fault. You do not want to appear like a problem tenant. It can take time to find a new rental.

Many will turn you down, but someone will approve of you. You should expect that when you are approved you will have to pay or a higher security deposit. The eviction becomes less relevant as time passes, especially when you begin to make on-time payments.

An eviction can seem disastrous and cause for worry. The important thing to remember is that you are not the only one to go through this. Many renters have been evicted and get through the process just fine. Protect yourself by following the laws and being honest. Be prepared and know your rights and you will have the best chance of beating an eviction. If you do get evicted, know that it is not the end of the world. With time, everything will be right again.

Benefactor needed!

Hello world!  This is the first time I have reached out on any platform to ask for help. The kind of pride that keeps you stuck can be a very negative energy to walk around with. This is my first step in getting unstuck.

I selected Eviction Notice in the category section. More than rent is being asked for today. I am 1 month behind in rent (1,177.00) plus $600 that is being added for court fees today. December is right around the corner so add another $992.00 (monthly rent amount) to the list.  So, that would put me at 2,769.00 needed, for rent.

I am employed as a Soccer Coach/Site Coordinator and for 10 weeks we are off until Indoor Futsal begins. I also am a fulltime artist. As a budding small business owner being able to invest in self is almost the first step to success. I believe the first step is knowing that you can. The income that is coming in currently, is not enough to cover the life I have created, so far.

I am asking for 8,000.00. With this amount I can catch up with rent, my car note, and payoff some things on my credit to boost my score.  I have even larger goals and I know credit matters.  With the 8,000.00 I would be able to pay rent up a month or so and invest in the things I need to for business (Licensing, paint, fabric, etc ) and invest in my son’s personal goals as well. I have an 11 year old with an amazing drive for life.

Although he currently speaks about traveling the world and the seas. His number one thing right now is to play soccer on a league and go to Kyoto, Japan. I believe it is my duty to make that happen and everything else he desires. I put him in a particular private school, so that he can experience an education tailored for success, not wired to teach kids one way of doing and learning.  As a single mom I have provided him with stability and even when I have “struggled”, he will never know. Love is the foundation but stability is how everything stays tother.

After spending about half of the 8,000.00 I can still have a little cushion to take care of the basics of life. The amount left ( around 3,000.00) could be doubled within months of receiving it, with all the right decisions made.

I recently met a woman who retired as a ft artist. She gave me the drive and inspiration to continue to work towards my goals. Sometime in the spring my work will be displayed on the walls in an art gallery, for everyone to see and experience and ever purchase.

Just sitting in the feeling of knowing that success and stability is around the corner, is not enough. Getting out of the “have not” ideology  and keeping my thoughts forward, has been successful for my day to day living. But, having it my hands and being able to give with no worries, is huge!

Financial freedom is a goal for me. Financial awareness is something I am learning about daily. I have tested the idea of manifestation many times. In my opinion, it works. I appreciate you for taking the time to read this.  I look forward to receiving the help and paying it forward.

Help senior widow buy a home.

I will be 76 in February, I am a widow.  Since 2019 I  have enjoyed living in a nice retirement community. It was clean and affordable. I own my own manufactured home, paid for. Two  years ago I received a letter from the park owners stating they were CLOSING THE PARK BECAUSE THEIR LAND LEASE WAS EXPIRING. This was news to me and the residents. We were told this was a 99 year lease, not 50 years. I have been forced to give up my home and move soon. I have no where to go, no family to help me and certainly not enough income nor savings to purchase without  help. I cannot move my home because of the age and expense.  My dream is to purchase another home manufacted home  in a community in which I own the home and land as well. These homes are affixed so they become real property and cannot be moved.  The reason I want to purchase is because it is less expensive than renting. I cannot qualify for renting with my income because the rents are high here and you need 3 times your income to qualify. With no rent control, rents go up on an owners whim, and in a few years I could be out again. I found nice 1 bedroom w/den.  I have most of the down payment. I am asking for $200000 to purchase. I am so desperate, please help me. The fear and worry has affected my health and well being. I need to be in my forever home and live out my life in peace. Thank you so very much. paypal.m/TDrozda

Hard working RN losing against grief-HuhThree daughters-Facing eviction

Hi my name is Ramona and my life changed on December 21, 2021. My favorite person in the world, my brother, came home to visit for Christmas and suddenly dropped dead in our childhood bathroom. He was in perfect health and had given no indication as to what had taken his life. A few days later I spoke to the coroner who informed me that his cause of death was an asymptomatic brain tumor that became lodged in the 4th ventricle of his brain. CSF was coming in and was not able to flow out.

I went to work as scheduled three days later. However I was asked not to return and that I was being placed on mandatory bereavement. Four months later, after 16 years, I found out I was pregnant. My baby came 7 weeks early after a very life threatening pregnancy. I was deemed unable to work due to unbearable headaches, uncontrollable hypertension, and eventually multi system organ failure.

Fast forward 23 months and I am behind on rent by four months. I simply cannot catch up from the time I took off work. New bills are just piling up while I’m working to pay what’s behind. Dissociation has caused me to not have have anywhere near two years of memories so I KNOW I made the correct decision by not returning to work full time throughout all of this. My mind was simply not there enough for me to remain a safe and competent emergency trauma nurse.

I have borrowed what I can from who I can. My rent is $1660 a month and I am behind 4 months and facing eviction with three daughters and three dogs. Please help me catch up. I would love to move to something smaller that fits my new lifestyle and allows me to start life over.

My goal is $10,000. This will allow me to pay my rent so I can move to a place that I can afford in a honest way. It will also allow me to pay some of the people back who have helped me these past two years.

Thank you,

Ramona 39

Help with rent and moving expenses

My name is April Wollersheim. I am a 43 year old disabled woman living in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. I am in desperate need of monetary help with a past due rent bill and moving expenses.

I am facing eviction as my boyfriend of 3 years, who was in charge of paying the rent, hasn’t paid it for 4 months and has left. Leaving me with the $3,000 past due balance and an eviction. I have bad credit due to a, now ex, boyfriend accruing debt in my name and cannot attain a loan to help me and I need help. My current landlord is not willing to work with me to resolve this issue. I am on an extremely tight budget as my only income is disability benefits of under $1,000/month. I am begging for help with the $3,000 past due rent and at least $2,500- $3,000 to be able to move to a new home that is affordable for me. The $2,500-$3,000 will help me with 1st & last month rent and security deposit of a new home, a moving truck and money to pay movers as I have no family or friends willing to help me for free. Any monetary help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

My Mom is about to be homeless due to police misconduct at 83 years-old, please help

So my mother called the police for help, she could not find me and thought I was being jumped and robbed. When the police arrived they didn’t attempt to search the area however they forced their way into my mom’s apartment. She called them for help and what she got was an illegal search of my suitcase. These rookies found one half of a marijuana cigarette after going through box inside of suitcase nothing in plain sight. They actually arrested me when I came back. Marijuana is legal in Pennsylvania with a prescription however I had to go to the county court for possession. It was so unethical explain to the judge what happened. I guess these types of misconduct are frequent. Unfortunately my mom was evicted from her senior citizen apartment because of the danger created by such a small amount of marijuana. My dear mom is now in a hotel and running out of cash fast. I don’t know what else to do I feel so helpless. Please anything but my mom in a homeless shelter. There’s got to be some way to fix this she’s on a very limited income and the savings has been depleted. Please help her find a new apartment I don’t know how words could ever thank you for your generosity..

My Mom doesnt have any of these new apps i will post mine below.

Cash.app is $ezrocks

Venmo is $EZROCKPAY

Again thank you with all my heart, I feel as though your help will be saving my mom’s life

Single Woman Desperate To Pay Bills

Hello all, my name is Hanna and I am in desperate need of help to pay my bills. I moved to Florida two years ago to be closer to family. I’m initially from West Virginia and made my way to Missouri for quite some time before following my family down here. One of the biggest adjustments would be the price of living. Florida is outrageous compared to Missouri.  As a single woman it has definitely been trying. Recently I worked as a supervisor for a handful of state parks remotely. I was there for a little over 2 years. As grateful as I was to have that job I was still living paycheck to paycheck. So you can only imagine the space I’m in now without it. Unfortunately, that company shut down without notice and that left me scrambling. They did not pay us our last check, PTO hours, or my bereavement due to a family member passing. I do not have a significant other or partner to help take some of the stress of all these bills off of me. I’m terrified of losing these necessities and having to start completely over. I pay rent, utilities, I have a car note, car insurance, phone bill, and a beautiful, loving dog to support and pay for. It’s not usually like me to ask for help but it’s taking quite a bit longer to find a job than I had imagined. I’ve had two interviews with no luck and about fifty applications with either “no response” or an email stating they were going to go with another candidate. However, I’m not losing hope. The holidays are coming up and I’m afraid that I’ll be spending my time worried and stressed out about paying my bills rather than enjoying the family I don’t get to see to often. At this point I have exhausted almost all of my resources. My unemployment has just ran out, I have applied for food stamps, maxed all my credit cards out, and even took out a small loan. Anything would help, honestly. I’m doing my best to stay positive and patient throughout this whole ordeal. Life has a funny way of creeping up on you sometimes.  Thank you for taking your time to read my story. If you feel led to help me my PayPal is PayPal.me/hannakayyyy

Thank you in advance to anyone who makes a contribution!

Need help to not loose my home to back taxes

Hello.

I’m a very proud person that has never asked for help from anybody, even during times I should have. But, what happened to me has led me to a place of desperation. I was self employed doing a small business with a partner, that I trusted too much. So much so, I missed him stealing tens of thousands of dollars from me. I walked away from our business venture and took full time employment with a large corp. Unfortunately, in getting all of my other bills taken care of, I fell behind on property taxes. I was so far behind the 8-ball, I have 3 years ($6700) of back property tax and interest to pay, in full, or lose my property. I’m desperate at this time and would greatly appreciate any help given, and will absolutely pay it forward here if I get to keep my property.

This is a home that my father and uncle built with their bare hands and I visited every weekend growing up. I purchased it from my uncle before he passed away. I don’t know how I’ll handle it not only losing a home but also losing a property that has always been in my family since the 1950’s.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

God bless

GOT EVICTION PAPERS PLEASE HELP

Hello.

My name is Adrian Ruiz. I am 50years old and live by my self with my 3 cats that I’ve had for over 10 years. We live in Miami, Florida in a trailer home that I have been renting for 5 years, This week on Monday November the 13th 2023 I received eviction papers placed on my door. I rented the trailer home from a lady in 2018. After a month of moving in I had found out the lady had passed away from colon cancer. The trailer was then given to her son in his 30’s which I was paying him the rent from then on out. He lives with his wife in a different location. About less than 3 months ago he texted me that I needed to move out because he wanted the trailer back, to sell it. Here in Miami the rents all over the city has skyrocketed since after Covid hit. My rent was $750 a month which now landlords are asking anywhere from $1000 to $1300 a month for a trailer home Almost double than what I was paying. Also landlords now are asking for First, Last and security which before it used to be First and security. The trailer I’m about to get evicted from over the years has gotten in bad shape. The roof has several leaks in multiple locations when it rains I have to put pots all over the place to catch the leaks, There is even one right over my bed. When it rains which is fairly often here in Miami it becomes a nightmare in the trailer. The floors are caving in in some areas too due to the water coming in and a lot of the tiles are broken cause of this. The windows too leak sometimes making it worse. The appliances have stopped working since they are old and gotten water leaked too so I cant cook in the kitchen. The only thing still working is the fridge. The lights flicker on and off and sometimes they go out. I have to reset the breaker switches which are very old a few times a month. This has developed over the 5 years I’ve been here. In the beginning everything was fine. I mentioned all of this several time to the landlord but he kept stringing me along that he would fix things. He never did anything about it. He even got mad at me for saying this to him so many times to please fix all of this. Then all of the sudden that’s when I got a text to move out. I am in a real tough situation because I don’t have the money to move. I tried to talk to him to please give me more time to find a new place and come up with some money but the situation in Miami with costs are way above my means. He did not care and told me to leave or he would evict me. So he did. c I haven’t found a place since I just don’t have the money landlords want to move in. I guess since this trailer home was given to him he doesn’t care about it and that’s fine I guess but putting me in this situation is uncalled for. So I am asking for help with money to move out before I end up in the streets. Not to mention my cats which I love them a lot and have been giving them a good life all this time. They are my companions and my best friends. They are indoor cats and have never been outside. I do Uber for a living but with the rise of rents and costs of moving I cant do it on my own. I can pay rent after I move in but I just cant come up with thousands of dollars in a short time. I don’t have anyone else to ask for help so this is a first for me and its a little embarrassing. If anyone out there can please help me with the moving costs which I’ve done some math I’m begging for $4000 to $5000 to get me out of this huge problem this guy has put me in. I’m not sure how long I have left before the sheriff comes and kicks us out but its not to much time it’s a dire situation for me. I came across this website browsing on Youtube today and immediately started writing this on  the Nov. 17th 2023 and I’m hoping it can work for me. Thank You for taking your time to read this and hopefully help me out. Anything helps. Again Thank You.

Single mom being evicted Getting car repod

I have always held my own, I was the one loaning people money and helping with fund raisers involved. Now I find myself on the other end, it is something.  I was a travel agent until Covid hit, and I did very well. I had a bum ex-husband that cheated and never saw or took care of his kids, never a Christmas present, phone call, card nothing, just up and left … that’s fine, less aggravation, SO I bucked up and worked my ass off and now I have one son that is left out of my three sons, he’s graduating this year he has Aspergers and has come really far, and I just can’t switch his school senior year, he’s been through so much. After COVID unemployment ran out and my savings and I hit everyone up and hunted down a few, that I helped out and loaned money to over the years got paid back by most, and now that has run dry. I have tried to find a job for months, and my resume is good, but I think it’s my age. So now I have an eviction notice, and my car is ready to be repoed, I’m going to be homeless with my son, and I have no family, no one that can help I have nothing, and it’s Christmas I don’t know why, or how this happened but I got here and now if I don’t have 6800 by 12/4 for rent and my car I am not only homeless but car-less too…  I am freaking out trying to stay positive and I am praying a lot. SO anything would help honestly I am not looking for a hand out just a hand-up…… i actually am starting a job on 11/20 but I’m not coming up with three months’ rent in time, just not gonna happen.   I’m scared to death.  I have worked so hard for so long and to have this happen I can’t believe it, why me? Why not me?  Its something. How fast. So anything would help I’m just desperate and I honestly dont know what to do usually I am the one helping……. Have a great holiday and may you and your family be and stay blessed. Thank you for listening.

anything would help. believe me,

Please please help me I am in need please help

Hello. My name is Jennifer Rose. I am 30 years old and I am facing some tough times recently. I was a Covid cleaner for the hospital during Covid u til I was let go because I wouldn’t vaccinate. Then my grandmother vaccinated and died. This sent me into a depression I have been off track since. My electric is currently cut off and I live in New Jersey where it’s cold, and my heat is electric. I have 2 cat children and I have a step child we get every weekend holiday and summer after her mom passed away. She is the most important person to me along with my cats and I don’t want her to freeze. I want her to have a pleasant experience at her fathers house and want to always be with us. My food in the fridge is bad after being in here for 3 days like this. The smell is unbearable  They won’t even give me a bill untill I pay $2,500 and I am $1700 behind in my rent. I just started receiving my u employment benefits so that will cover any future expenses, but as of right now these things are going to have me out in the street in the cold with my cats and my stepchild. This is my first apartment and I have been very responsible for 3 years with all of my expenses. After my grandmother died have y been able to get anything right it seems like. I even had a car and the engine seized right after I bought it. The warranty covered a new engine but after the engine was put in the car a drunk driver drove from off the highway into the auto place where our car had been just fixed and completely totaled it. Then I didn’t have a way to work and back and forth doordashing and doing Lyft to make ends meet. I am literally dying out here. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Good Guys Finish Last – Getting Kicked Out From Home

This is very difficult for me to write..and very long and difficult story to explain, there’s so much to my current situation but turning a long story short: I’m being kicked from my childhood home by my older sister.

Some of you may be wondering, “Why?” Now that’s good question…well apparently it’s because I’m not doing an adequate enough job at caring for our mother who has dementia. My mother was diagnosed with dementia near the of May 2021. But before she was diagnosed with having dementia, my mother started to act really different, she became withdrawed, she refused to leave the house and she would just spend all day, weeks on end laying on the couch. She stopped eating and drinking, she refused any food I gave her. She stopped caring for herself such as she stopped taking showers and brushing her teeth.

But let me explain a bit more in detail…In Mid-October of 2020, my mother tested positive for COVID, while at first we were really concern since during this time little was known about COVID still and this was happening during a COVID surge. Before COVID, my mother’s personality was strong-headed stern Christian women. I often told people she was a, “beat the Bible into into you,” kind of women. So after she caught COVID, she had a major personality change (As I mentioned in the paragraph above).

So naturally I was deep disturb by her behavior and tried everything to the best of my abilities to convince her to take care of herself. Shortly, later I realized that she was becoming weak and was losing lots of weight. And because of her not properly eating or drinking, she experienced her first fall. She hit her head badly and was very disoriented. I told her she needed to go to the hospital but she refused to. Sometime later, I had call her sister, my aunt, to see if she can convince her to go. After sometime she did allowed my aunt to take her to the ER to get checked out. It was there, I discovered that the reason she wasn’t eating or drinking was because she developed a paranoia of food and water and thought it was poison. And also, she had mentioned she didn’t want to be around anymore.

After this confession, she was flown to a behavioral facility for treatment. After sometime, there my mom was sent back and I remembered thinking she looked a bit better. But that was short lived because she continued on trying to avoid eating or drinking water. She even was trying to avoid taking her medications. Shortly after other weird behaviors started to arise. She started to have insomnia and wonder throughout the house, all day and night, muttering to herself, saying weird and sometimes alarming things. Not long after she started to go in and out of the house, all day and throughout the night. Then, she started to pick on my sister and I while we were asleep, by constantly call our names, coming over to us and pulling off our blankets and pillows. She would do that on weeks on end for 2 months. I remember being extremely sleep deprived. Then she started throwing things out. At first it was her things, then it was food, then household items such as dishes, tools, personal items, papers, etc) and then mine and my sister’s things.

At this time, I was so frustrated by things going on that I notified mental health and the hospital to see if anything can be done. Of course, there wasn’t anything to be done..because at that time still, my mother wasn’t diagnosed with dementia yet and she still had free-will to make her own decisions.

Things started to escalated again with my mom when she started banging on the windows and doors of my neighbors’ (which were my aunts) houses with rocks and yelling out their names. Once this started up, I started receiving complaints from my aunts and they express they don’t like that my mother comes over all hours of the night and making those noises. I expressed my sincere apologies to them and told them many times there’s nothing I can’t do, that she doesn’t listen to us. During that time too, I was struggling to get our mother to the hospital for her appointments to see what was wrong with her and she still refused to go.

Time goes on and the struggles of trying to help our mother was tiring and wearing down on my sister and I. Around this time we decided to outreach to our other older sister, who lived in Phoenix. We told her all that was happening and she let us know that she can’t really do much or visit because she was having a hard time getting off work. It was then I also informed her that it was probably best if someone does guardianship for mom and that I was already looking into doing it, especially since we had another sister living with us who was mentally incompetent and my mom was officially her guardian and it was decision through word-of-mouth by my mother that the older sister from Phoenix will be taking over for her incase anything happens. And the older sister agreed and seemed fine the decision.

Not long after this my mother had another fall, but this time it was different…she stated my sister pushed her. I remember being taken aback by this and asked my sister and she stated mom had woken her up, she just told her to stop picking on her and tried going back to sleep and then mom tripped and started to blame her for pushing her. Shortly after I took her to the ER, and I remember they asked her what happened and she said it was my sister. They asked me more questions but I told them I was asleep when it happened and didn’t see anything. I also told them my sister wasn’t the kind of person to do that. After some questioning with my mom, the hospital staff decided that my mom was having a paranoia of some kind and sent her home with us. Later on that day, she told the same story to her sisters and one of the sisters call social services. Social services came out and interviewed mom and she stated she’s fine and deemed no abuse was going on.

I remember asking my mom why was she lying about that and it’s a serious thing. She didn’t say much about that. Not long after she started lying about my sister and I, stating we’re not feeding her and wanting to hurt her. At this point, my mom was still trying to avoid eating or drinking water and when she did stated she hungry, she would try to throw the food out. So, to ensure she’s properly eating, we set up a feeding schedule in small intervals (1st meal at 9am, 2nd meal at 12 pm, 3rd meal at 3pm, 4th meal 6 pm). For the most part this worked. Of course we told the aunts, she’s eating and we make sure she eats but they continue to believe my mom over us. I informed social services again and let them know so we wouldn’t get in trouble again and it seemed like they understood.

So many things were coming to ahead shortly after, that it was decided my sister and I that maybe putting a boundaries or a bearer would help and allow us to get some sleep and also prevent her some throwing stuff away. The bearer was set in a way that she has access to her room and right across the hall is the laundry room and the only bathroom. That way she has easy access to go to the bathroom. Also, it’s connected to the door that has access to go outside. For a time we actually had to lock her in from the outside for her safety since she can’t wondering around the neighbors in the middle of the night while she’s a fall risk. However, her sisters didn’t like that we did this and filed more complaints but my mom’s therapist and social service were already aware of it. They just said as long as she has access to her basic needs such as food, water and bathroom it’s ok. We would always bring her in to eat on our side anyways cause she has to be monitored to make sure she’s eating and drinking.

All of these events were happening from around October 2020 to October 2021. But since November 2021 to now, our mom has gotten a bit better. She more open to attending her appointments, she’s eating better and she’s become like verbally abusive and mean. But even though things seem to have resolve a bit, my older sister from Phoenix still doesn’t want us there and she’s trying to kick us out. She also demanded to take over the guardianship for our mom and I obliged.

So I think it is time for my sister and I to leave. We’re just done with the constant fighting and not being treated like family. Also, another thing my sister and I founded out that were actually adopted. And it seems like since we found out, the sister from Phoenix and the rest of family dropped their facade of being nice to us. So we’re just gonna leave and unfortunately, I’ve been really low on funds for rent, after providing for years for my mom and sister. So I’m simply asking to continue my life and sister’s life elsewhere, away from this toxic family. I’m hoping to raise at least $4,000 to help with at least 3 months of rent and a deposit. But I would be extremely grateful to receive any amount. At this point, every little bit helps. Thanks everyone.
