I lost my dad and husband within a month of each other. I have health issues, epilepsy and autism as well as brain damage from a toxic miscarriage that I barely survived. I am under attack by someone who I testified to law officials about. Help me from losing it all.

Hi, the engine in my car blew due to a series of unfortunate events starting with filling my gas tank with fuel i didn’t expect to be drastically harmful to my vehicle. I unfortunately have not even paid half of the car loan off so getting another used car is not an option. It isn’t a new car but it was well taking care of and drove perfectly before this incident. Replacing the engine will basically get me a zero milage car that i already know and trust. Moreover i already have a payment plan that i am comfortable with altho my car insurance and rent have gone up drastically in the last year. I am usually not the kind of person who will reach out for help but the more time i am without a vehicle the less overtime i can do or look for higher paying jobs i can apply for to cover the  rising costs of  bills and food. I am currently staying with a best friend who lives 2 miles from my current job so that i can walk back and forth but it is winter and my 52yr old back and knees wont take this for very long especially after working a man  ufacturing job all day. I, who has always given without asking many times when even when i have been without am begging to be given a break to be able to stay on my feet and earn my share. The cost of the replacement engine plus labor will total $6,000 USD and if there is an Angel out there who can cover paying the vehicle off plus the repair that would be $20k. Just Need a Little Help to Get Back on the Road & Back to My Son

 

Hey there,

I never thought I’d be in this position. My whole life, I’ve been the one helping others—whether it was through my work in social services, assisting homeless veterans, supporting young adults in crisis, or simply being there for people who needed a break. That’s just who I am.

But right now, I’m the one who needs a break.

A few months ago, my car’s clutch went out while I was driving. I had no choice but to leave it on the side of the road. Next thing I knew, it was towed and impounded. The cost to get it back? More than the car was even worth. At the same time, I was wrongfully evicted by my landlord, who took advantage of a legal loophole and left me scrambling for stability.

Through it all, I’ve kept working. I’ve taken every job I can, but without reliable transportation, every step forward feels like two steps back. I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat, but the reality is, I can’t truly rebuild without a car.

Why This Matters

More than anything, I need to get back to my son. He lives three hours away with his mom—who’s an amazing mother—but since losing my car, I haven’t been able to see him at all. I may not have full custody, but I have always been present in his life. I don’t want him to think I disappeared or that I stopped caring. He needs to know his dad is fighting, not just for himself, but for him.

I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for a hand up—a chance to get back on my feet and be the father, the worker, and the person I know I am.

What I Need & How It Will Be Used

I’m hoping to raise $7,500 to purchase a reliable used van or car that will:

Get me back to steady work, so I can stop just treading water and start moving forward.

Wrecked Car and Cannot Pay off Debt

Hello,

My name is Oliver. I don’t come from much – my mother had brain cancer from the time I was 2 until she passed when I was 19. She raised me alone on a $750 disability check. My father refused to contribute financially to my well being after I graduated from high school, despite being my only, living parent after 2020.

I went to college on government money, and do not have much student loan debt, but I got a job as a news producer after I graduated and left that position after 2 years for what I thought was a better opportunity. It ended up being a multi-level marketing scheme, so I took a different job selling metal roofing, which I wasn’t good at.

I was unemployed for 3 months at the end of 2024 and had to live off of my credit cards, so I now have $5,000 in credit card debt which I’m not going to be able to pay. I also unfortunately wrecked my daily driver and cannot yet pay the $2,500 to fix it, I am currently limping the car back and forth from work, but not being able to go long distance has made it difficult to get to the doctor for blood work, and to the post office, etc. Now I’m a server/bartender making $1,000 a month after tax and struggling to keep a roof over my head.

I plan to go back to college for my master’s degree in Fall of 2025, but I am not making enough to pay my bills, let alone save money. I am trying to get another job or even two in the meantime, because I want to keep the job I already have so my work history isn’t tarnished by high turnover.

Life has played the worst game with me. Need immediate support to be alive.

I have never asked for money to anyone. My father and mother used to be the most honest people for me who taught me the lesson “to live by your own efforts.”

Firstly, it’s so hard for me to explain my situation and ask for money, but I have no other choice for now. My words might sound like I’m just trying to sound very genuine, but I still need to write. I’ll try to explain everything in short.

I’m born in a very poor family where my mother and father worked day and night to take care of the family. When I grew up and my parents observed a musician in me, they tried to provide me the affordable music lessons which was really very hard for them, but they did it. I am a very serious musician and got many plans to grow my musical career. I slowly started my own music company where I used to work for my clients at a very low cost. I later on started to take care of my old parents. I used to earn only a survival income which was a far better days financially than my childhood.

My creative mind always used to think of new opportunities and ideas to grow my business but my financial situation never allowed me to execute any of my plans. Suddenly, COVID time came and I was again in a very bad financial situation, as nobody knows me globally. My local clients stopped working with me. I didn’t have any money to do advertisements for my work and get international clients.

One day, I was searching opportunities on the internet and registered on the freelancing platform “Fiverr”. I started getting some clients but not regularly. It was helping me in some ways but definitely in a temporary way, and one day Fiverr has also blocked my account for no reason. Don’t know why but my life has always played a bad game with me. After few days, I again started my local teaching business which helped me for a next few years, but it was also a struggle because of the local politics. I don’t know why people around me have always tried to stop me from growing.

Now, slowly I planned again to increase my sales and buy some gadgets to start doing Music Production. For that, I had to take loans from bank to buy instruments and gadgets. I took loan of $10,000 which is still running. Now, I got increased some sales but due to insufficient earnings, I was not able to advertise and get enough funds to pay the loans. I researched and found that I need to buy some Videography equipments to increase sales and fulfil the needs of my client. Now, again I took loans anyhow from bank for $10,000 and suddenly I don’t know what happened, I am not getting any clients since 5 months and having no money even to survive. I have the responsibilities to take care of my old parents who did everything for me, and I don’t have a single penny to give them even an ordinary sleeper to wear. I don’t know whether I am a good son or not, whether I should be alive or not. Is doing music a crime for financially poor people?
