Single Mom Of Two Seeking Financial Assistance After A Challenging Period

I am a single mom of two, and this past year has been one of the most challenging periods of my life. What began as a hopeful and promising year quickly turned into a battle for my daughter’s life and my family’s financial stability. In April, my one-year-old daughter fell ill. At first, her condition seemed minor, but as her symptoms worsened, we realized that she needed urgent medical attention. She was admitted to the local hospital, but due to limited resources and equipment, her situation deteriorated rapidly. Eventually, she had to be airlifted to a neighboring island to receive specialized care, including dialysis for her strained kidneys.

During this time, my daughter faced multiple life-threatening complications, including fluctuating heart function, meningitis, and necrotic toes. She had to be placed in an induced coma and intubated, and I watched helplessly as her tiny body fought to survive. I exhausted my personal savings because I no longer had health insurance after being made redundant from my previous job. Her medical expenses for the first week totaled EURO 19,2636.21 (approximately $22,925.00) and had to be paid upfront before her transfer. She remained hospitalized for two months, with an additional month of outpatient care on the neighboring island. Thankfully, through that island’s social assistance program, the balance of the hospital bill was covered, but I had to remain with my daughter for outpatient care for an additional month, unable to work or generate income during this time.

My baby’s recovery exceeded even the doctors’ expectations, but she was left with lasting reminders of her ordeal, including a partially amputated toe and a bald spot on the back of her head due to necrosis. These are the marks of her courage and resilience and serve as a daily reminder to never give up hope. Meanwhile, my sixteen-year-old daughter stayed with her grandparents, and I missed precious months of her life due to these circumstances.

Returning home, I faced overwhelming debt. My mortgage is now behind and my utility bills are unpaid. On top of this, my house requires urgent repairs, including fixing termite damage to the roof, repairs I had planned to pay for with my initial savings. I am now seeking financial assistance to stabilize my situation, pay off mounting debts, and secure a safe, stable environment for my daughters while I search for a new job. Any support would make a significant difference in helping us regain our footing and move forward with hope.

Every donation, no matter the size, will bring us closer to financial stability and provide a sense of security during this challenging time.

Thank you for your time and I do hope that you consider helping my family in our hour of need.

A Mother’s Plea: Trying to Keep My Little Family Afloat

I never imagined I would find myself in this position — writing on a website to ask strangers for help. But life has a way of humbling you when you least expect it.

I am a mother of two little girls. My older daughter is in daycare, and my baby is still too young to go. Every morning starts early and ends late — feeding, cleaning, comforting, loving, doing everything I can to make sure my children feel safe and cared for. They are my whole world.

But lately, I’ve been breaking inside from the stress of not knowing how I’m going to keep us going. I’m currently on maternity leave, and my contract at work ends on August 31, 2025. After that, I have no idea what will happen. I have no family to rely on, no one to watch the baby so I could go back to work, and no savings left.

I’m already in debt, and no matter how carefully I stretch every euro, it’s just never enough. Groceries, rent, bills, diapers — the basics keep adding up. I’ve cut back on everything possible, but I still lie awake at night wondering how I’ll manage another month.

Sometimes I just sit and watch my girls sleep and think how unfair it is that they might feel my fear or see me worry. I try to hide it — I smile, I sing, I make things look okay. But inside, I’m exhausted. Not because of them — never because of them — but because I’m carrying everything alone, and I’m running out of strength.

I’ve always worked hard and believed that things would somehow fall into place if I kept trying. But now, with two small children and no one to help, I’ve reached a point where I can’t do it all on my own anymore.

I’m asking for help — not for luxury or comfort, but just to survive this difficult time. I need to pay off my debts and cover our most basic needs until I can safely start working again. Every little bit helps — even a few euros can mean a warm meal, diapers, or the electricity staying on for another month.

If you’re reading this, please know that your kindness would mean more than words can ever express. You wouldn’t just be helping a stranger — you’d be giving two little girls a chance to have stability and a mother who can breathe again.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Thank you for caring.

And thank you for reminding me that even in hard times, there are still good people in this world.

Help Me Create a Safe Haven for Women and Children Escaping Abuse

Yesterday, something changed for me.

As I was walking into my apartment, a woman stopped me and asked about the space I lived in — not out of curiosity, but desperation. She explained that she was searching for a safe place to live after a brutal divorce that left her separated from her young daughter. The court told her she needed stable housing to reunite with her child. Her story broke my heart, but it also opened my eyes to something I can no longer ignore.

I live in a building with two levels — my home Above, and an empty space below that was once a primary school. I’ve had the first right to that space for a year or so, always thinking I might turn it into something one day (serial entrepreneur), maybe a daycare or a learning center, but pushing off the contract because I could never settle of what it could be. But after meeting her, I realized that maybe it’s meant for something much deeper — something life-changing.

I want to turn that space into a temporary housing center for women and children escaping abusive or unstable situations — a place where they can breathe again, feel safe, and begin rebuilding their lives. Somewhere they can stay short-term while finding stability, with dignity and community, not charity.

To make this a reality, I need help raising $30,000 to get started. The funds would go toward renovations, safety upgrades, furnishings, and creating a secure environment that meets basic housing needs. My vision is to make it affordable, sustainable, and filled with compassion — a true safe haven for those who need it most.

I’ve seen how many women in my area are forced to choose between staying in dangerous situations or facing homelessness. I believe we can change that — one space, one mother, one child at a time.

If you can help, even a little, you’d be part of something that truly saves lives.

Hardworking Family In Need

paypal.me/SashkaM619

I forgot to include my PayPal link in my last post, so I’m trying to repost.

I never thought I’d be begging for money from strangers online, but it’s come to this point in my life. I would not be doing this unless I knew wholeheartedly that I deserve help, kindness, and compassion. I was raised by a lower-income, single, first-generation immigrant mom. She escaped Russia to give her two kids a better life in the US. She left her family and everything behind to come to a foreign country (without even knowing any English) and worked day and night as a piano teacher and caretaker to provide for her two kids, make sure we received a proper education, and ensure that we had the tools necessary to live stable lives (unlike most people in Russia). I was accepted to all UC schools with a full scholarship back in 2017. I had dreams of developing a successful career, making my mother proud, and being able to later pay back my mother for her infinite sacrifices. Starting in 2018, I developed depression and anxiety due to the strong language and cultural barrier between my mother and I. She was struggling to pay for credit card debt, rent, gas, car insurance, life insurance, etc all by herself while ensuring chronic stress, financial hardship, and trauma from raising two kids by herself in the most expensive city in the United States. Due to the pandemic and continuing financial struggles, I have not been able to go back to university. My mother lost most of her clients when the pandemic started and I had to step in and work two jobs since 2021 to provide for the both of us while my older brother was finishing his rigorous graduate degree. I have since worked my way up in the restaurant industry – all while caring for my elderly mother, regularly paying her credit card debt payments, and almost single-handedly remaining fully responsible for both her and myself. I’m so burnt out emotionally and physically that I’ve developed involuntary muscle spasms from constant stress, overwhelm, and overthinking. I’ve been on Zoloft for the last 5 years. I love my mother deeply but she’s getting older and some of her own trauma is causing her to become verbally and emotionally abusive towards me. I know I am more than capable of being able to support myself in the future, but I need help paying off our significant credit card debt. I love my older brother, but he is not yet in a position to help us financially (he is finishing his residency to become a spinal surgeon). I worry for the overall health of me and my mother. We are decent, kind-hearted, responsible, tax-paying, law-abiding, Christian US citizens. We have never once abused a single drug, drank alcohol, or relied on welfare programs of any kind. Once my brother becomes a working surgeon, we can give my mother peace of mind and financial security. In the meantime, I am anxious, scared, and worried that my mother won’t make it to live to see any future grandkids or go on a first-time family vacation, etc. My mother is so brilliant, talented, angelic, wise, responsible, and Christ-like. I have done my best so far to work 60 hours a week, but the credit card debt that accumulated over the years from working tirelessly to remain afloat is keeping us from living more sustainably. I have always been a reliable, kind, understanding, and respectful worker who is appreciated at my high-pressure fine-dining job. I know there are plenty of scumbags out there making tens of thousands off of selling drugs, child pornography, etc. I know there are people with not even 5% of the moral character, decency, work ethic, talent, and capability of my family who “live large”. I have never and would never even think of starting an OnlyFans or degrading myself into relying on some random “sugar daddy”. We are $35,000 in debt. I will continue to work 60 hours a week without a single day of rest because I refuse to just abandon my poor mother. I know plenty of young people my age who would just give up and leave someone like my mother behind. If there is anyone reading this and who is willing to help a stranger out of the kindness of your heart, I would deeply appreciate any kind of funding. I can assure you this funding will only go directly towards basic living expenses and credit card debt. Thank you and God Bless.

Wishing for Security and Safety

To whoever comes across this, and cares enough to read –

I’m a lonely 25 year old autistic girl. Never really fit in anywhere, I’m simultaneously my families glue and the black sheep. My emotional outlets include singing, writing poetry and colouring in.
Since December 31st 2021 my life’s been hellish. Lost my papa to dementia. S/ally Assaulted on New Year’s Day 2022. Lost my aunty to cancer 5 months after that. In the midst of that, moved into my first flat with an antisocial neighbour above my head and suffered an emotional breakdown. Then a stalker me feel unsafe at work and I developed agoraphobia.

All I ask is for at most, 5,000 so I can get a new secure door for my flat and peace of mind as I continue healing/ slowly rebuilding myself after a traumatic time and some encouragement or help from kind people would change my life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Help Me Close Half My Debt Gap: $30,000 to Get Stable

Hi, I’m a 30-year-old teacher. Over the 3 months a mix of medical costs, family emergency pushed my debt to $60,000. I’m not asking for all of it—only $30,000—because that amount lets me stop the spiral: it targets the highest-interest balances and the most urgent overdue bills so I can stabilize, keep working, and finish the rest on my own.

I want to be clear about what I’ve already done. I cut non-essentials, cancelled subscriptions, moved to a tighter budget, picked up freelance works, and called my creditors to request hardship adjustments. I’ve also built a payoff plan and set up automatic payments so I don’t miss due dates. I’m not looking for a shortcut—just a lifeline that prevents penalties and sky-high interest while I work the plan.

Once I’m clear and stable, I’ll donate monthly to others in similar campaigns until I’ve given back the full amount raised.

Interest is the part that hurts the most. By removing the worst balances first, I can cut hundreds in monthly interest, keep housing and utilities secure, and stay employed while I finish off the remaining $30,000 myself through work and a structured plan. Your help turns a losing battle into a solvable one.

💔 A Mother Fighting for Her Life, Her Son’s Heart, and Their Family’s Future

My name is Cathrine—most people call me Nona—and my family is my whole world. I’m a mother, a grandmother, and a woman trying with everything in me to hold my family together through the hardest time of our lives.

This year broke me in ways I never imagined.

I survived a devastating head-on collision that left my leg severely injured and my health unstable. I’m still fighting every single day just to get around, just to breathe, just to stay strong. And now, I’ve been told I need another heart surgery. When the doctor said it, I felt like everything inside me collapsed. I’m terrified, but I’m fighting because my family needs me.

And they’re fighting their own pain too.

My husband, Regino, was deported… and the emptiness he left behind is something we feel every day.

But no one feels it more than our son.

He misses his father so deeply that it hurts to watch. He wants his dad back. He needs him. He asks about him, he aches for him, and no matter how strong I try to be, I can see the sadness in his eyes. He’s just a young man wanting his father by his side through all of this, and it breaks my heart that I can’t give him that right now.

On top of everything, our dog—my son’s dog, his best friend—is very sick. I can’t afford the vet care or even to put him down gently, and I’m being forced to watch this innocent little soul suffer. Seeing my son cry over his dog, feeling helpless because I can’t ease either of their pain… it’s a heartbreak on top of heartbreak.

I’m trying so hard to stay strong, but the truth is:

I need help.

I’m struggling to survive, to make it to my appointments, to fight through this surgery, to comfort my son, and to keep our little family together while we wait for the day his father can come home.

Every donation—no matter how small—helps us breathe again. It helps me get the care I need, it helps me be there for my son, and it helps us take steps toward healing and reuniting our broken family.

Thank you for reading my story.

Thank you for caring about a mother, a son, and a family just trying to hold on.

💗 With love,

Cathrine (Nona)

Help My Father Fight Cancer

Hello everyone,
My name is Tuan Vu, and I am reaching out with deep sadness and hope. My beloved father has been diagnosed with cancer, and our family is doing everything we can to help him fight this terrible disease. Sadly, the cost of his treatment is far beyond what we can afford.

Doctors have recommended urgent medical treatment, but the total expenses — including hospital bills, medicines, and therapy — are around $20,000 USD. and currently, I’m still in debt for around 10,000 USD. We have already spent most of our savings, and now we are humbly asking for help from kind-hearted people around the world.

My father has always been a loving and hardworking man who dedicated his life to taking care of our family. Seeing him in pain every day is heartbreaking, but we are determined not to give up hope.

Any amount you can give, big or small, will go directly toward his cancer treatment and give him a fighting chance to recover. Your generosity, prayers, and kindness mean more to us than words can express.

Thank you so much for reading our story and for any support you can provide.

Thank you.

In care of family member with Dementia

Hello,

I am in need of help to provide for a family member with Dementia.  In April 2025 I flew across country to move him in with me because he was living alone.  He has Dementia, Diabetes and Neuropathy.  I moved him just in time, although unfortunately I had to move him into a memory care facility a few months later due to his medical needs along with aggression.  When I brought him to live with my kids and I, I had to resign from my job to care for him.  Although I have been job searching since I haven’t had much luck.  The fees for his memory care facility have maxed out my credit cards to a total of 30,000.  Because of this we are struggling financially, and my credit has gone down the drain. I am asking for funds to help me pay for his facility where he gets the care he needs and hopefully also pay off some of my debt.  Thank you for your time.

Teacher Trying to Clean Up a Mess!

Hi! I’ve always been very responsible with money. However, recently I have been subjected to fraud by a company that I thought was trusted. Needless to say, I live on a teachers salary and my paycheck has been eaten up by this company. I need to be able to pay my car payment and my bills and to pay off the balance on my bank account to open a new one. As a teacher I get paid once a month. I am in need of about $6,000 to start fresh. I live in my own but have committed to a life to help educate children and help to make them the best humans possible because they are our future. If anyone could help out I would be ever so grateful.  My Venmo is @Megan-Bush-20
