Everything in my being came to a complete halt on Sept. 5, 2024. When at 8:30 am I received a phone call.

Good morning, is this Kari’s mother?   Yes, I replied.  My name is Dr. E at University Hospitals.  Have you been notified of the near-fatal car crash your daughter was in?  No, who is this again? I asked.  I’m Dr. E and I wanted to let you know Kari will be undergoing surgery in half an hour. What? I replied, hoping I had misunderstood what was just said.  She has to have reconstructive surgery on her spine.  I’m on my way, was all I could say.

 

Life as we knew it was forever gone.  When I arrived at the University, I was directed to a family waiting room where I would sit for 5 hours.  My mind wouldn’t still itself, not for a second.  Where, when, why, and how were all unanswered questions.  Just the fact of knowing my daughter had been lying there for a day and a half by herself wondering why nobody was there was torture.  The feeling of abandonment overcame me, and I still can’t understand why I never received a call.  Not from the police, the ambulance, 911, the Medair, the hospital….Why?

Fast forward…I eventually put all of the pieces of the puzzle together.  At approximately 9:30 p.m., September 3, 2024, my daughter was driving home, and her vehicle went onto the right shoulder.  When she got back onto the pavement something happened and ended upside down in the opposite ditch.  The vehicle caught fire and she was trapped inside.  A car approached the scene but drove past her.  The man driving the vehicle thought he had seen something shiny  out of the corner of his eye,  but dismissed it and kept driving until he heard a voice say “Turn around, turn around, turn around, TURN AROUND!” After the fourth time, thank God, he turned around.  As he approached the vehicle he could see that it was on fire and heard her screaming.  After quickly analyzing the situation he knew he only had approximately two minutes to free her before the vehicle became completely engulfed in flames and exploded.

He is a Hero. He managed to get the door opened and she did the army crawl as fast as she could carry her broken body.  They weren’t but two feet from the vehicle and BOOM!!

She was airlifted to the University and had 11 vertebrae rebuilt with plates, screws and donor tissues.  I know the trauma that I experienced.  Her trauma, I can’t grasp it.

Once a parent always a parent is my belief.  I don’t want her to worry about anything except her healing.  This is why I come humbly asking for help.  I know God has always provided for us and I know, He will never forsake us.  I need to pay her bills, buy medicine, replace important documents, her phone, car, and everything lost that day.  I’m doing the best I can as a single parent but took a leave of absence to take care of her 24/7, for now.  If it has been laid upon your heart to love your neighbor and help us with a gift of any amount, we will be forever grateful.  She has a long road ahead of her and knowing we aren’t alone on this journey would be comforting.  I would also like to do something for our Hero.  I’m unsure of how to repay him for saving her life, but a simple thank you doesn’t cut it.  Thank you and God bless.

Hello my name is carmalita I’m. A 42 year old mother to 7 kids 4 adult children  as well as 3 younger sons ages 17 soon to be 12 and a 9 yr old whom I’m am currently  raising as well as 5 beautiful nieces and two god sons as well as being an emotional support to my mom who is currently 64 years old as well as my brother-in-law who is 45 yr old for my family I can say the last 3 years have been a very challenging myself about 3 years ago I have finally got my section 8 and chose to leave my apartment complex to send out to find a home to rent with my section 8 will needless to say that was around the same time we got two different countries who came in as they were going so we were helping which I’m not saying that didn’t but it did take up all of us Americans housing so I’m very short I lost my section 8 vouchers due to not being able to find approach on my section 8 at the same time my mom and her husband moved into the one bedroom apartment to sisters and my brother-in-law would living in a house which me and my kids were parked on my car outside of their house or go park my car at my mom’s old house when she had just moved out of with my three sons for basically living on my SUV well I had got covid and my mom and her husband let my boys go stay while I went to the hospital he listened they released me in the next day and so I went to the way my boys and my mom’s husband offered to let us stay over the night so we did the next morning everything seemed to be fine my mom’s husband woke up and was going out to walk their dogs and went to the restroom and all of a sudden I’ve heard the door slam open and my there’s no sooner than having that screaming for me to help her so I heard nothing to find out my father was having a heart attack I called the only one and they assisted me giving him CPR it seemed like forever that I was going to keep her and when I called them they had advised me not to give me not to give mouth to mouth so it was like 14 minutes before the ambulance arrived by that time I basically knew he was gone he had no oxygen at the whole time the the paramedics for about this machine which assistant giving them CPR is the craziest between others in my life my boys were home let me know there’s some day were there I had ask to go outside my mom is frantic with trying to get a hold of my step siblings to let them know what’s going on with their father my sister was from his job over and right when they were letting us know that there was nothing that they could do she had just turned the corner her mom dropped to the ground crying it was so hard for all of us he was a good man from almost with him close to 17 years he was the best father me and my siblings had ever known after that stay with my mom Trisha tour the girls I was homeless and since I need a place to stay she let me and my boys stay there shortly after my youngest sister casarah I came to stay so to her house not being okay for her to stay there with her cancer and little sister had been battling cancer for 15 years she had Hopkins lymphoma but she was the strongest person ever in me my sister Angelina he was just 15 months younger than me I stayed with them her and her husband that is to be a caregiver for my sister her husband and her kids throughout it all so basically all the children that my youngest sister had to have my sister Angelina to be like a second one as well as my niece was Angelina’s daughter hae my sister for Sarah he was sick with cancer with her the whole life as well she was her mother so basically they were both mothers to all these kids well shortly after my little sister started staying with us and my mom’s one bedroom apartment my little sister my other sister and my brother-in-law for being evicted out of their home because their landlord was selling the property so all of a sudden it went from me her mom my three boys my little sister with cancer at my mom’s house to being no my sister’s husband and my other sister who is the caregiver to my sister as well as my sister  for kids and my other sisters daughter all being on my mom’s house her tiny one bedroom which we we’re literally walking over each other it was cramped but me and my siblings at my mom would always been a very close knitted so we made it work in the beginning of September we I thought word for my sisters cancer doctor and she was cancer-free but about 2 weeks later she had an appointment at the doctors which have that time they notified her that due to the side effects of the chemotherapy and radiation her body was not able to produce blood platelets no more wish I guess at that time we didn’t understand the whole survey of it she’s supposed to do all patient blood infusions tomorrow morning everybody wasn’t paying attention and one day we had hospice knocking at our door my kid you not when I say that day it was like over 20 prescriptions brought to our door for my sisters and we were all an a  disbelieve just believe because it was just so hard to even get her cancer medicine or pain medication she was in pain but we’re just kind of throwing a curveball there my little sister had left my sister Angelina to give her one of her pain pills which was morphine pill and I kid you not when I saw you but that was the last thing she asked for after my sister gave it to her it was like my little sister was out of it she wouldn’t wake up to her bathroom she wasn’t eating she was just there she can wake up soon as they understand I’m basically knows it was rest of the hospital where being a hospice person they were telling me this paramedics to my sister had no chance anyway just let her go and you better believe that that’s not what my little sister wanted she had told that lady from hospice that she want to be resuscitated if anything happened that you don’t know how mad I was at hospice later that night September 23rd of 2023 I was just a passed away we all got to visit the hospital where they were telling us to say our goodbyes I want to do it forever and I couldn’t stay to watch my little sister slip a way so I went home they were waiting for my sister eldest daughter to get from LA to Sacramento to say her goodbyes shortly after she did was when they stopped her life support machine and my sister but at the young age of 34 she was such a good person full of life even though she would be even something so much she would always try to smile and it was so hard cuz my sister ever believed that is her fault because she gave her that pill and it was so hard for her and me and my mom and my sister’s husband told her that it was not her fault who could have known that that was be the thing that took her out you’re such a fighter after this we were all just lost she was so much to center of our family the one we always try to take care of and the one who always brought us happiness to see her be so strong about a month and a half past that we came into November on November 4th my mom can rush me out from her room telling you that my sister Angelina was choking well the year before this my sister enjoying them was admitted to the hospital with covid for they had to induce her into a coma and after that they told her she wasn’t going to make it me and my little sister told them that she wasn’t going to leave her daughter of her son that she was a fighter and she would make it and she did after being in coma for about a month she finally came around and I put a trache out of me and her so she’s brave and she was living with the tube and her throat no longer able to breathe through her face her mouth her nose only through her throat so as she was jo choking I hurried it but I got my sister’s oxygen machine and place the tube and my sister’s throat so she could breathe while we waited for the ambulance to get there when it is they ordered all of us to get out the way and that they would take care of her and then I won’t call I let them know that she had a trach so only one of the paramedics was asking for the tube that they could insert in her throat the other ones didnt know what it was as I proceeded to take my sister to the ambulance in all the madness of it all I think we forgot to pay attention needless to say on where the hospital my sister was getting oxygen on her face not her throat so by the time she arrived to the hospital she was brain dead this is heartbreaking to us all still weren’t even over my little sister so within a month and a half I lost my two younger sisters I’m the oldest of four our baby brother is the last pretty much after this we’re all it’s heartbroken in a disbelief we went from losing my mom’s husband the year before I’m not even fully getting over it to losing both of my sisters within a month and a half here we are me and my mom and my brother-in-law with all this children heartbroken out just losing two mothers as long as the loss of 2x and two daughters from my mother if that wasn’t enough think we all just went into a deep depression so we’re all still trying to get out of before my sister’s passed my hopes were moving off grid and homesteading not until my sisters my brother alone my mom my nieces and my God sons once I did that they were all going to come live with me so we could survive in this world  so at this time my mom is currently facing eviction due to having too many people in her one bedroom apartment so as I come before everyone was an open years ago in the open heart and I pray that maybe someone out there that is really able to help us to make with for a better life to give these wonderful nieces better without mothers my godson’s that are without mothers as well as my kids don’t lost their ants and grandparents and my mother and my sisters husband that’s one of us me the big sister who is in charge of being the mother of all this wonderful kids now till your belt for my sisters and make sure I do better by these kids be able to make it in this world knowing that God have plans it’s to deter us from Hope to be hopeful in our faith and trust that he has better plans for all of us cuz I come before you go I’m asking whoever’s listening that if you’re able to help me to succeed in my wishes to be able to move off grid and be able to live in a homestead situation where we’re able to survive and be late at peace with beautiful nature surrounding us to comfort and help us to be able to live a better life knowing that our losses will never be forgotten and that God always has a plan it’s weird that I found this website I’m so random breaking my heart I believe it was meant to be so if there’s someone out there that could us financially be able to relocate off grid and homestead to make a better life for all of us I would greatly appreciate it and Hi, I’m Michele. I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but here I am. After 16 years in the IT department at the same company, I was laid off five months ago. Now I’m a single woman in her 50s, watching my whole life fall apart because of mounting debt. I really need your help.

You know how they say, “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”? Well, I guess I did exactly that with my job. I really thought I was set – good benefits, steady paycheck, even got an award last year for my 15th anniversary with the company. Then one Monday, my boss called me into his office. Just like that, 16 years gone. “Restructuring,” they called it.

At my age, finding a new job isn’t easy. I’ve been applying everywhere I can think of, but it’s always the same story – “we’ll keep your resume on file” or “we’re looking for someone with different experience.” I think what they really mean is “someone younger,” but nobody says that out loud, do they?

I had some savings, but it’s amazing how fast money goes when you’re trying to keep up with:

– Credit card payments: $49,000 (I know, it sounds awful – some of it was from taking extra classes for my last job)

– Student loans: $7,000 (still paying these off… who knew they’d follow me this long?)

– Regular bills: about $1,000 a month

The worst part? The phone calls. Debt collectors call morning, noon, and night. I’ve started leaving my phone on silent because I can’t take the stress. Last week, I got a certified letter about a judgment against me. I had to Google what that even meant – turns out they can take money right out of your bank account. I’m terrified to even deposit money now.

I’ve added it all up a hundred times. To get the collectors off my back and give myself a chance to breathe, I need $57,000. Typing that number makes me feel sick to my stomach. It’s so much money, I know. But if I could just get out from under this debt, I know I could get back on my feet.

I’m not sitting around feeling sorry for myself. I’ve:

– Applied to 67 jobs (yes, I’m keeping count)

– Sold some old jewelry

– Cut every bill I can – canceled cable, using the cheapest phone plan

– Even started working on a farm part time but the cold weather is coming and there’s not much more work.

Hello all, I am seeking financial help as I have been layed off from my job and bills are piling up. Currently I am behind on rent my electricity has been cut off for sometime now and the house is starting to get pretty cold. My children cannot be home without lights so the are staying with family until i can  get them on and constantly let me know they want to come home. It is getting harder to provide food for them and my pet at this time. Up till this point I have been able to work odd jobs however my vehicle is now in the shop  and I have no clue as to how I’m going to be able to get it out.
