**New Mom Seeking Financial Help to Buy a Home**

Hello everyone! My name is Kaitlan, and I’m a proud new mom to a sweet baby boy. As I embrace the joys and challenges of motherhood, I’m also faced with the urgent need to find a stable home for my growing family. I’ve been renting since I was 17 (having lost both my parents) and it always comes with it challenges that are out of my control.

Most recently I had to move out of a rental due to black mold that caused my newborn to break out in hives and sent us to Radys Children’s hospital for 4 days. The landlord took a while to fix the issue and wanted higher rent due to it. This put us out especially because I didn’t want my newborn to have another reaction.

Currently, I’m working hard to provide for him, working a full time job, but the rising costs of housing make it difficult for us to find a place we can call our own. My dream is to secure a safe, consistent, nurturing environment where we can thrive and create lifelong memories without worrying where we may be living next year.

I am reaching out for support in a down payment on a home in CA. I’ve started this fundraiser to help cover the costs of a down payment and closing expenses. Seeking a gift for a down payment. With the medical bills from the mold, we exhausted much of our savings. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to our dream home.
