Hey I’m 23 y/o. I am the mother of a 4, 2, 1 year olds, and 8 months and my fiancé is 25 y/o. I was a stay-at-home mother working only part time up until my fiancé was diagnosed with cancer. We had just recently moved into our home after being homeless for 8 months due to our credit when we found out he was already in stage two. I tried to look for work, but our car got repo so no transportation because we couldn’t afford the note, we once barely could but had to manage then soon after came the eviction notices. I applied for work from home as well as job near me I know I wouldn’t have to rely on a bus and be late I could always get to and be able to keep. No one got back to me due to my qualifications, I’ve only been a nurse-aide my whole work career when nothing hiring like that was nearby. Not only was I not hearing back from employers but the ones I couldn’t work with my needs like availability due to not having a babysitter unless I paid for one and yes, I applied for government assistance a million times, and it’s been horrible to even get food stamps I just received this month for the first time in months or even a year. As well as my fiancé fighting cancer with no help from his inner family even his mother with helping his get insurance for treatment like chemotherapy or radiation, I was the only one that could help him on those days he couldn’t stand or eat on his own. With that being said it was hard to find work and be a mother and what I know best a nurse-aide to my sick fiancé we lost our apartment too! I fell into depression while already going through post-partum depression and I’ve always struggled with anxiety, so I was put on antidepressants. If you aren’t aware of the medication side effects, please look into them to better understand what I am currently facing that also makes it hard for me to work also while having ADHD. We were staying at motels because it was nowhere else to go until we literally didn’t have a dime left, we finally were able to stay in a room at my fiancé aunt house. Now that we do have a roof over our head, we are struggling with everything is and it was made clear that this is only temporary and not very long so to basically get on the move! We don’t have no car to get to any doctor appointments for any of us as well as work and two of our kids will be going to school this year if everything goes as planned! We really desperately need help so please anything literally anything will help us towards making sure our children are healthy and happy as possible. We are homeless with no car and 4 children all under the age of 4. Please help me help my babies have a better life then I did. Thank everyone so much for reading my story! We need at least $20,000 or anything else that can help to get fully on our feet for a while. Not asking for anything just praying someone or some people are just truly amazing and helpful in this world that’s kicking our butts right now!
