Dear generous person reading this,
I hope this message finds you well. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but recent events have left me in a situation where I have no choice but to reach out to ask for it.
Last week, my world was turned upside down when my wife of five years, with whom I’ve shared nearly a decade of my life, unexpectedly decided she wanted a divorce. The news blindsided me, as I had believed everything was great between us. As a result of this sudden change, I find myself in a dire financial predicament.
To support our relationship, I used up all my savings and maxed out my credit cards to move to a new apartment, as per her wishes. Now, with the weight of this debt pressing down on me and the looming threat of homelessness for myself and my 2 senior dogs, I urgently need to find a way to cover these expenses and secure a new place to live, ideally closer to my job in San Diego that I intend to work at for years to come.
The estimated cost of this move, including some debt repayment and initial expenses, is approximately $10,000 – $15,000. This is a daunting amount for me to handle alone, and I’m reaching out to you in the hope that you might be able to offer some assistance during this challenging time.
I understand that you receive numerous requests for help, and I’m truly grateful for your consideration of mine. Your support, whether it’s financial aid or simply sharing my story, would mean the world to me. Every little bit helps, and your kindness could make a significant difference in my life right now.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and for considering my situation. Your empathy and understanding are deeply appreciated. If you’re able to offer any assistance, again, just know, you are changing my life!
