in financial trouble and far from home.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am reaching out to share my story, i am single mother who is in need of support. I’ve been living far away from family for nearly 6 years, in another state, i moved to study and got a job in a city i love, even though unfortunately it means i only get to see family once a year, i found a place for myself which i thought i could thrive in.

I’m always working really hard to provide for my child. i had a full-time job in a high position, moved to a town away from the city to start a new store for the brand i worked for. i thought it was all going really well.

However, due to unforeseen circumstances and lack of support from the company, i had to leave that job, I’m now struggling (mentally and financially) and need to move closer to family for better help.

i was lucky to find a position in the same town as i had a lease i couldn’t afford to break in the new town, but my new job pays roughly half of what i used to get, and i put myself in a bad place financially when i moved paying double rent for a couple months and using credit cards i now have some debt i am struggling with on top of everything.

being a rural town there is very little job opportunities and despite applying to basically anything at this point im not having much luck finding a second job to support us both.

due to the unexpected financial challenges recently making it impossible for me to secure the means to move back home. i am aiming to raise $5,000 to help cover the costs associated with the move.

hopefully i can get enough to be closer to family, they live in another state, and try to help where they can, even if it wont cover my debt i will be closer to people who can help me and my child.

With gratitude,
E

Please Help Us Rebuild After a Devastating Fire

On August 9, our lives were shattered when a devastating fire destroyed our home. In the blink of an eye, everything we had was gone. My disabled father, our surviving dog, and I were left with nothing but the overwhelming grief of losing our other beloved dog in the fire. The pain of losing a member of our family is something I can’t even begin to describe.

Since that tragic day, we’ve been living out of our car, trying to stay afloat in any way we can. When we manage to gather enough money, we stay in hotels, but those moments of relief are rare. We’re doing everything we can to hold on until we can move into a new place on September 18, but until then, we are essentially homeless.

We need around $3,000 to secure a place to stay, replace some of the clothes that were ruined in the fire, and afford basic necessities like food. The Red Cross was there for us initially, providing a few days’ worth of supplies and lodging, but their help has now run its course. We’re at a loss, unsure of where to turn next. Each day is a struggle to find safety, warmth, and a little bit of hope.

We are reaching out to you, hoping that you can find it in your heart to help us during this unimaginable hardship. Anything you can give, no matter how small, will make a world of difference to us. We are desperate for any support as we try to rebuild our lives after this tragedy.

Please, if you can, help us find some stability until we can move into our new home. Your kindness and generosity could be the lifeline we need to make it through this dark time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Recovering Alcoholic. 25k in debt

Hi everyone,

thanks for taking the time to read my post, as stated I’ve been an Alcoholic since I was 22, I just turned 30 yesterday. I am 8 months clean from drinking and smoking, over the last 5 or so years I’ve accrued around 25k in debt, mainly helping my ex girlfriend pay off some of her own debt and just overall I’ve made some really bad decisions while intoxicated. I’m currently making just enough money to make ends meet, I’m running a small business & working full-time. I am in the process of looking for another job to help with debt but I am posting on here as I’m getting super desperate to turn the my life around financially. Anything helps and goes a long way, I am grateful for literally money at all. I don’t expect much but thank you very much. I will use this money immediately to help pay down my debt. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, god bless and stay safe.

Urgent Cash Assistance Required After Natural Disaster and Job Loss

I never thought I’d find myself in a situation like this at 46 years old. I’m a divorced, single woman, whom has always been a hard worker—balanced my job, family, and responsibilities with care. For the past six months, I devoted my time and energy to supporting my daughter and my two precious grandchildren. They’ve faced their share of struggles, and as a mother and grandmother, stepping in to help was a no-brainer. Yet, in doing so, I fell a bit behind. I believed that with just a little time, I’d be able to catch up on my bills.

However, life has an uncanny way of turning things upside down. Just when I thought I might regain my footing, disaster struck. In early August, my community was hit by a natural disaster that left destruction in its wake, Hurricane Debbie. I managed to hold on for a couple of weeks, grappling with the aftermath of that traumatic event, but then the unthinkable happened—I lost my job of six years, merely days before my birthday. Talk about a birthday present!

Now, here’s a woman who is not used to asking for help. I was raised to be independent, to work hard, and to take pride in what I’ve earned. The very idea of asking for assistance would typically make me uneasy. Yet, here I am, on the brink of losing everything I hold dear. My home, my vehicle, and the sense of stability that I’ve fought so hard to maintain are all in jeopardy.

Living in a rural area complicates matters even further. Public transportation? Forget it. The closest convenience store is a daunting seven miles away. If I lose my vehicle, I won’t be able to work, grocery shop, or even attend necessary doctor appointments. The thought of being car-less and homeless is beyond terrifying. Yet soon my reality, if I don’t have roughly $4,000.00 by Sept. 1, 2024. Which is what I need to bring the car, car insurance and house payments into a current status.

I am now delinquent on payments for my car, car insurance and my house. The bills are piling up, and I heard the clock ticking down to a potential financial crisis stop! CRISIS HAS HIT! My situation is urgent, and I am reaching out for help! I never imagined at this stage in my life that I would be writing this, pleading for emergency cash assistance to keep my home and my vehicle. It is not easy for me to ask for this, but the reality is that I need financial help.

This feels like an overwhelming challenge for me at this moment, but I know that there is hope in community support. I believe that generous souls may recognize the reality of individuals like me—someone who has worked hard, sacrificed, and faced adversity with resilience. If everyone could understand how even the smallest donation could help change the trajectory of my life, I would be forever grateful.

I’m not alone in this struggle; many are facing hardships due to unexpected circumstances. Natural disasters, job loss, and economic uncertainties can strike anyone at any moment. It’s crucial to understand that emergency cash assistance is more than just financial help; it’s a LIFELINE for those grappling with immediate needs.

I urge compassionate individuals and professionals to consider making donations by providing financial assistance to insure I am able to keep my car and home.  My current focus is to find employment, catch up on my delinquent car payment and insurance,   and maintain a home where my grandchildren can feel safe and secure. No matter the size, every contribution counts and goes a long way in helping me regain my footing.

To those who can help: your support could mean the difference between slipping into homelessness or figuring out a sustainable path forward. With your donations, I will be one of those individuals who pick themselves up after a fall and stand tall once more! I’ll be forever grateful if you can help provide me with some emergency relief at this extreme time of need, it will be restoring hope and dignity in a time of darkness.

In closing, I extend my gratitude to anyone willing to share even a fraction of their resources. It is acts of kindness in times of crisis that build our communities back up. I hope that my story resonates with you, and I deeply appreciate any help that comes my way. Thank you for making a meaningful impact on my life and the lives of my grandchildren.

A life threatening infection blew up my life.

In November 2022, my life took an unexpected turn. A severe infection landed me in the ICU for two agonizing weeks, leaving me grappling with lingering vertigo, a disorienting aftereffect that rendered my everyday life a dizzying struggle. When I left the hospital, I faced the harsh reality that my current living situation was no longer suitable, as I lived on the third floor. The vertigo made navigating the stairs a treacherous endeavor, each step a potential trigger for a wave of nausea and imbalance. With a heavy heart, I made the difficult decision to move to a more accessible apartment, one that would accommodate my ongoing recovery.

The move itself was a logistical nightmare, made even more challenging by my ongoing physical limitations and our financial constraints. The unexpected medical expenses had drained our savings, leaving me with little to spare for the costly process of moving. Friends and family rallied around me, offering their support and assistance, but the burden of the move weighed heavily on our shoulders financially. As I settled into my new apartment, I was confronted with the daunting task of catching up on my rent payments. The two weeks in the ICU had forced me to take an extended leave of absence from my job, leaving me without a steady income to cover my living expenses. I was laid off from that position a month after I left the hospital, and I haven’t been able to find work since. My husband was the only one working and we live in a very expensive area. The bills piled up, adding to the already overwhelming stress and anxiety that we were experiencing. The once-independent me found myself relying on the generosity of others and the understanding assistance from my husband, a situation that filled me with a sense of helplessness and shame.

I am determined to regain our financial footing; I explored various options for generating income while still recovering from my illness. I looked for contract and remote positions but finding a position with my experience in the medical field – those jobs are rare. I also applied for social security disability but failed. Navigating the complex bureaucracy in the hopes of securing some financial relief, I found I needed an attorney to move forward, and I can’t afford it. The road to recovery has been long and arduous, filled with setbacks and moments of despair. My vertigo has persisted, making it impossible for me to accept an in clinic medical assisting position. The uncertainty of my future weighs heavily on me, casting a shadow over my once-bright outlook.

I’m learning to adapt to my limitations, finding creative ways to manage my vertigo and maintain a sense of normalcy in my life. I also find solace in the support of my loved ones, who offer encouragement and understanding. Slowly but surely, I’m beginning to rebuild my life. I’m currently back in school learning to be a software engineer and I have returned to my love of paper artistry and hope to purchase enough equipment and supplies to start an Etsy business. I am also continuing to look for work as a prior authorization specialist. The infection and hospital stay left an indelible mark on me, shaping me into a stronger, more compassionate individual. I emerged from the ordeal with a profound appreciation for the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment.

I am asking for $10,000 to catch up on our lagging bills and keep us afloat until I can acquire a remote position and establish the business, I know will be successful. Your help would be invaluable to us, and I am willing to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for considering in helping us.

Struggling 20 year old

Hello

I’m really struggling right now and I don’t know where else to turn. My dream has always been to become a pilot, but I’m facing some really tough times that are making it feel almost impossible. I feel like giving up in life

I am paying almost all the bills now as my mom works as a cleaner and is barley getting any good money

I’m only 20 years old, I’m working over 60 hours a week just to try to keep things together at home. My mom is really sick; she has HIV , and as the only one who can take care of her, I’m doing everything I can to help pay the bills and keep us afloat.

I fall back on rent payment as well as bills

I have an upcoming rent of $2000 AUD in 8  days and if I don’t pay it I’ll be evicted and I have no where to go

no matter how hard I work, it feels like it’s never enough. I’m trying to save money for my student fees, which are $140,000, but it’s just getting harder every day. Bills keep piling up, and I can barely afford to put food in the fridge. There are days when I go without eating, just hoping for some kind of miracle.

I’ve even started selling my personal items, but it’s still not enough. I’m so tired and drained, and it feels like I’m at my breaking point. I know this is a lot to ask, but if there’s any way you could help me, it would mean the world to me. I’m even willing to pay back in the future when I get a job in my industry and I am willing to sign legal contract for this any help you can give in the future.

I’m more than happy to show you proof of my university fees and any other documents you might need. I just don’t know what else to do, and I’m so scared that my dream of becoming a pilot might slip away because of everything that’s happening.

My mom has been through so much as a single parent, especially after losing my dad when I was young. I just want to take care of her, my sister, and myself, but it’s getting harder every day. Please, if there’s anything you can do, I would be forever grateful. Your help would be such a relief during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you so much for even considering this. It means more than you can imagine.

When it rains, it pours!

Hello,

I was doing alright until this last couple of months. It was paycheck to paycheck, but I was okay. In a matter of a couple of weeks, my refrigerator stopped working, my car is barely getting by, and my roof needs repairing before the rainy season begins. It’s just me by myself here. I’ve been searching for a second part-time job but haven’t had much luck yet.

The repairs total just over $10,000. I was barely making it until the refrigerator took a dive. I am seeking $10,000 to help cover these urgent expenses. This amount will help address immediate repairs and will provide some much-needed relief as I work to stabilize my finances. Your support would be instrumental in bridging the gap during this transitional period and would significantly ease my financial burden.

I understand that many people are facing their own challenges, and I am deeply grateful for any assistance you can offer. Regardless of size, your contribution will make a meaningful difference in helping me navigate this difficult time. It will allow me to maintain a safe and stable home environment and alleviate some of the stress of managing these expenses on a limited budget.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting me. Your generosity and compassion are greatly appreciated and will help me move forward with hope and a sense of security. I am committed to working hard to improve my situation and ensure a better future for myself. Your support will be a crucial step in helping us achieve that goal.

Peace be upon you! My name is Guyanthony, I am appealing to you for cash assist because I have had been through some difficulties with my life. Due to Covid-19, and an auto accident I fell behind in my rent and lost my career as a Community Outreach Coordinator and Program Manager. In October of 2020, I had transitioned from working at home to physically working on the job Because of my health issues after being rear ended by a truck while waiting for a car in front of my car to turn into a parking lot, The accident totaled my vehicle. My having a vehicle was a requirement for my job. Another requirement was to be able to physically interact with the youth and the community. The accident caused an injury that was whiplash and a concussion. I had paid time off and was able to pay for life necessities however, unfortunately I ran out of sick leave and had fallen a month behind on my rent. I was unable to get unemployment in time due to my injuries. I have a teenage daughter who had just started her sophomore year in high school that September of 2020 and providing her school supplies and clothing as well as paying rent exhausted my savings. I still had a responsibility for paying auto insurance as well as the car payments until the insurance company made its decision on whether or not they would take responsibility took time. It was my work vehicle that got total. I had a car that I was making payments for that was used for work that was repossessed. It was all done illegally and I was incapacitated by the injuries and was unable to address the situation. I was introduced by watching a YouTube video to this service and I hoped to get your assistance. I am $40,000 dollars in debt for the vehicle and falling behind in my child support payments. I had always paid my bills and lived out of debt until this all started. I am suffering from PTDS and have been struggling with depression. I have managed to get my rent balance down but over time, I have fallen behind in interest rates to the Division of Child Support as well as the credit unions that provide the auto loans. Please contact me if you are willing to work with me with the financial aid to help with the financial situation I have been dealing with for the past four years. I have finally gotten my health back and I will be starting college this year in September so that I can start a new career in cybersecurity. The demand for community service has fallen and I am forced to take a different path if I am to be able to financially provide for myself and my family. I employ your help to make my journey and future life more sustainable. I am 56 years old and I am a National Guard Veteran of the Gulf War. My service to this country is not over. I need to get back on track and make myself useful. With your help I know that I can make it happen. I thank you for your support and I am aware that I will be in your debt. With your support and understanding in time I will be able to serve the communities once again. As a cybersecurity specialist, I will be able to assist with the security of our country as well as the people who lives may be impacted by this new technology crisis. Once again, I thank you for your time and future support!

Family Facing Eviction and Crisis After Medical Emergency—Seeking Urgent Help

Dear kind-hearted people,

I am reaching out today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency. I find myself in an incredibly difficult and unexpected situation, one that I never thought I would experience. I have always worked hard to provide for my family and ensure that we live with dignity, but recent circumstances have put us in a financial crisis that I can no longer manage on my own.

I am the sole provider for my family, which includes my spouse and my father and mother. For years, I have worked as an Accounts Manager at a retail company, doing my best to balance the books, pay bills, and manage our daily expenses. Despite living modestly and planning carefully, a series of unfortunate events has left us struggling to make ends meet.

Recently, my father fell seriously ill and required emergency medical treatment. We do not have comprehensive health insurance, and the hospital bills quickly mounted to more than we could afford. To cover the immediate costs, I used up all our savings and maxed out our credit cards. Just as we thought we were getting through the worst of it, I lost my job due to company downsizing, further compounding our difficulties.

With no income and mounting debt, we are now in a dire situation. We are behind on our rent, and the landlord has issued a notice of eviction. Our electricity and water bills have piled up, and we’re at risk of losing basic utilities. Worst of all, I fear that my children may soon be without a home or access to the stability they desperately need.

I have been applying for jobs tirelessly, but so far, nothing has come through. In the meantime, we are struggling to put food on the table, let alone cover the overwhelming expenses that keep coming our way.

I am humbly asking for your help during this emergency. Any contribution, no matter how small, would help us cover rent, utilities, and basic necessities while I continue searching for work and getting back on my feet. This has been one of the hardest times in my life, and I would be forever grateful for any assistance that can help my family get through this.

It’s been a long winter

Six months ago I packed up my son and cat and moved cross country from a very bad nasty situation to start a new life. Truth be told it was the best decision I could have  ever made for us. And in so, I’m asking your help please.

My son has Asperger’s and that makes things difficult sometimes because he’s different from your regular kid. This break has helped him come out of his shell. I see him smile these days and that makes it all worth it.

So here we are in this new town and things are super tough right now as we don’t know anybody and have no family.

I have fallen behind on all my payments and rental. The collectors are now threatening to repo and take legal action. Food and essentials are nearly finished and I’m at a loss of what next steps to take. Our cat has not had food since yesterday and I’m freaking out. She’s such a loving soul, been purring and giving me loves thinking I’m about to haul out a new bag of food. It’s hectic. I tried giving her ground beef but she won’t eat it.

I had to sell my laptop two months ago which was the worst thing to ever happen as I normally freelance on Upwork. I am using my sons PC now which is old but it still does the job. Only thing is I don’t have any money to buy more connects which are necessary to bid for jobs on the platform. It’s essential that I get more connects like yesterday to find work.

Im feeling in over my head. $7000 in debt and freaking out a bit. But I do know a new contract can fix this mess.

All I need is some food and connects for Upwork to find a new contact and sort things out.

If you are able to help us, it would mean the world to me. I can’t stand being in this position. It’s honestly humiliating and very unnerving.

Thanks for taking the time <3

Need to pay $900 September rent + storage in Ky

I live in, what used to be, an affordable apt above a business. It’s a dive with leaking ceilings, bad electric, splintering floors and home to critters (in the attic space), but I can live with quite a bit of inconvenience for the low rent. The lease renews on Sept 1st and they want a lot more (they hadn’t repaired anything) and worse, I don’t have any work.
6 months of searching, but being disabled (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome & chronic back pain) and 58 – I can only work from a reclined position (pain relief), so 99% of work available I cannot do – is difficult to say the least, though not impossible.  I just need a few more weeks to drum some income from other areas, like online help desks, but currently have about $30 in the bank.  I was a website developer for many years and it worked with my disability (been working remotely for 19 years), but lost ALL my clients between 2020 & 2022 (by 2022, my clients either closed permanently, filed bankruptcy or stopped providing work to tighten their budget – all small businesses). This, in turn, cost me my house (which I was able to sell in 2023), my perfect credit is in shambles, I sold everything of value I had, now, after a year, have nothing left (made a little money) now facing homelessness. My long time friend (female) has a job, but really only has enough to pay for food, utilities, phone and gas (restaurant work) and I always paid for mortgage and rent (this last year of rent was paid for by my home sale and there’s no more).
I know something will crop up soon (hopefully), just need funds  for September 1st (up to the 5th) or we’ll both be evicted. This prospect I can’t imagine (if I were young, perhaps, but at this age w/my disabilities …).  She will hopefully have another job in the next week to make up for the difference.  I hope I’m not asking for too much.  If you can help, please, please, do! Even a little bit!

Subject: Urgent Appeal for Safe and Stable Housing for Richardson’s FamilyDear [Recipient’s Name],I am writing to you today with a heartfelt request for support in securing a safe and stable home for my family. My name is Richardson, and I am 32 years old, originally from Sri Lanka. I am currently battling brain tumor cancer, which has significantly impacted my physical strength, leaving me unable to walk. Throughout my life, my family and I have faced immense challenges, including the absence of a permanent home. Our situation is compounded by the following:My mother is mentally unwell and requires special care.My elderly father also needs support. My older brother is struggling with alcohol addiction. While my older sister and younger brother are supportive, they lead simple lives and have limited means to assist us.Given these circumstances, we are urgently seeking $100,000 to secure a permanent home where my family can live safely and with dignity. This home will provide us with stability and a foundation for

To the Kind-Hearted Donors,

Greetings to everyone reading this appeal. My name is Richardson, and I am a 32-year-old living in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, at the Cane Hospice. I am reaching out with a heavy heart and immense hope, seeking your support to change my life and the lives of my family members.

For more than four years, I have been living in cancer care centers while trying to seek assistance as a patient. I have been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and due to the severe impact of my illness, I have lost my ability to walk for the past seven years. Although there are opportunities for me to walk again, the journey is incredibly challenging and requires substantial support.

In addition to my health challenges, my family is also struggling. My mother is mentally unwell, my elderly father cannot work, and my older brother is addicted to alcohol. While my older sister and younger brother lead simple lives, they do not have the means to support our entire family. Our family currently relies solely on the income of my younger brother. Unfortunately, we do not have a permanent home, and we have been living in different shelters and care centers for many years.

I have not been able to marry due to my family’s circumstances and the impact of my brain tumor, which has prevented me from having a married life. I am also learning about cryptocurrency from my current location to find a way to rebuild my life financially. However, I need immediate financial assistance to stabilize our situation.

I kindly request your support in helping me and my family purchase a house and start a small business to become self-sufficient. At the minimum, I need $125,000, with $100,000 required to fix our life and $25,000 more to purchase a home and start a business.

In Sri Lanka, opportunities for young cancer patients like myself are scarce, and it is extremely difficult to receive personal assistance. This is why I am reaching out internationally for help. I have tried for three years to get assistance but to no avail. Here in Sri Lanka, there are many facilities and support systems for elderly cancer patients, but very few options for people like me who are younger and need substantial help to rebuild their lives.

I sincerely appeal to all the kind-hearted individuals who come across this message to please consider making a donation. I am also reachable via WhatsApp at +94771566307 and by phone at +94212240258. My email address is selvarajarichardson@gmail.com for anyone who would like to get in touch directly.

Your support, no matter how big or small, can bring immense happiness and change to my life and the lives of my family members. I humbly request that if you are able to assist, please do so as soon as possible. I am eager to live with my family and improve our quality of life.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for any assistance you can provide. Your generosity will not only change my life but also give me hope for a better future.

Warm regards,

Richardson

Looking for temporary financial assistants

To anyone who can sympathise and help with my current situation, I am 43-year-old sole provider and married father of 3, I was financially stable and am being sued for a home I built and sold 9 years ago for plumbing issues caused by a negligent contracted plumber. $200,000 + dollars in legal costs but I have nearly exhausted my financial ability to proceed with legal fees which will force me to declare bankruptcy, I have a strong case as I have current building reports and costings that point to the plumbing errors and am currently looking for a donation that I will repay once the case is over. To those who can gracefully help I am desperately seeking approximately $45,ooo to get me to mediation on the 19th of December 2024 this will hopefully be resolved by then and I will be able to claim my costs and return the funds. I am willing to provide proof for everything that is happening.

Need money to pay rent or I will get move out of my living appartment

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am currently facing a critical financial situation that threatens my ability to pay the rent for my housing. The deadline to pay my rent is fast approaching, being the 26th of August and me and my fam (two formidable boys and my wife) are at risk of being evicted from my home if I am unable to come up with the necessary funds in time.

This is not a situation I take lightly, and it is deeply distressing to find myself in a position where I must reach out for help. The thought of my family being forced to move out of our home, with nowhere to turn, is overwhelming. My housing situation is precarious, and the time frame I have to resolve this issue is extremely limited. Without immediate assistance, we may lose the stability and security that our home provides and live in an even bigger financial crisis while being homeless.

I have explored all possible avenues, including applying for emergency assistance, reaching out to local resources, and attempting to negotiate with my landlord. Despite my best efforts, I have not been able to secure the necessary funds to cover the rent. This is why I am asking for support. Any assistance you can provide, no matter how small, would make a significant difference and help me avoid the situation of me and my family becoming homeless.

I understand that times are tough for everyone. However, your support would help me stay in my home but also restore a bit of financial security during this difficult period.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

To pay my rent, I would need approximatively $770
