Your Honour,
I write to you today with a heart heavy with desperation and fear for the future of my disabled daughter and myself. As mandated by a court order, I am facing eviction from our current rented home, thrusting us into the terrifying possibility of homelessness. This situation is compounded by my dire financial state, worsened by the denial of educational services for my daughter, which forced me to cease work and accumulate substantial debts.
My daughter suffers from severe disabilities that profoundly impact her daily life and necessitate specialised housing and constant care. Despite these challenges, we face continuous denial of adequate support and are subjected to bullying and manipulation. The current rental, though not adapted to her needs, is being taken away from us unjustly, leaving us without a secure shelter.
The toll of this instability is grave. My daughter’s condition has deteriorated during the year she was denied access to suitable education and care, making her increasingly difficult to manage without appropriate accommodations. My son, witnessing the struggles we endure, has also fallen into depression. The emotional and financial burden of repeatedly furnishing new homes due to damage inflicted by my daughter has pushed us deeper into debt and despair.
I implore you to consider our plea for assistance. What we need most urgently is stable housing where we can adapt the environment to suit my daughter’s needs and alleviate her distress. Whether a modest home or otherwise, any place that ensures we will not face homelessness again would be a lifesaving blessing.
Additionally, financial aid to alleviate my debts accrued from past homelessness episodes and the costs of setting up new homes would provide much-needed relief. The toll on my health has been severe, with recent incidents leaving me near-blind and battling severe anaemia from stress and physical strain.
Your compassion and intervention at this critical juncture would mean more than words can express. Please do not let us suffer further. I beseech you to grant us the mercy and assistance we so desperately need to ensure my daughter’s well-being and our survival. Landlord have told us that they cannot meet with my daughters rental needs, and the local authority has denied us housing support. I have been to court, but the judge and the local authority are playing with our lives. I fainted last month due to all the long lasting torture. Please help us.
With profound gratitude and hope,
