I am an LPN who is pursuing my BSN and my own breadwinner. I was hospitalized for an Ulcerative Colitis flare after Entyvio failed to respond any longer. I used all my PTO because of the complications, which also left me behind on all my bills. Short-term disability/FMLA helps, but it isn’t paying the bills.

My rent is $1,375 every month, but with late fees, it $1,425, and it is only going to get worse because another month late will cost me another $50. But it gets worse, I am behind on my February rent too because my check was not enough to pay February’s rent either.

I just really need some help, so I am not left homeless because of an autoimmune disease that has destroyed my finances.

I turn 25 this year, have a Bachelor’s degree in biology, the best job I have ever had, and yet I am still struggling to keep myself afloat financially. After a car accident in February 2023 and a long fight with bad insurance, I completely drained my $4,000 savings and was left with a new increased car payment. A year later, I am still facing the consequences of this financial upset, and haven’t been able to keep more than a couple hundred in my savings account at any given time. 

In the past year, I have accumulated almost $10,000 in debt (credit and personal loans) to keep up with all my bills. I live in an area where my field of biology (animal science and conservation) is not well funded and supported, so finding a well-paying job in my field is difficult. So, I currently work as a catering coordinator which pays me well in comparison to my past jobs, but I am still living paycheck to paycheck as 90% of my income goes straight to bills, groceries, and my pets. 

I was splitting $1,900 in rent with a friend, who had a personal emergency and had to return home with her mom, and I have been paying that rent on my own for almost half a year now. I am fortunate enough to be moving to a more sustainable living situation now, but I am stuck unable to pay my last month’s rent at this old apartment, as I prioritized the bills for my new rental this month. 

I am in a position where I am trying my hardest to just get back on the right track and improve my life and well-being. I even feel like I can nearly see the light at the end of this tunnel as I find ways to stretch my dollars and earn a little side cash here and there. I am just looking to receive a small push to help me over these last few humps on my road to financial freedom. I know nearly every young person is feeling the weight of the economy right now, and I certainly do not even have it the worst. I am simply in a place where any amount of help would be a blessing, especially being able to meet my final rent fee at my old apartment so I can put that stressor behind me once and for all. 

I am just trying to find a bit of footing in this economy to be able to grow in my career, and my personal life, and hopefully begin saving to go back to school again (I dream of getting a Doctorate in Animal Conservation). I am in need of help this month to pay my March rent that is now due.  I am on disability and I am looking for a part time job to supplement my income.  the disability is not enough to cover my monthly basic expenses so I’ve had to use my savings and rely on family to help, which is now depleted.  I would appreciate any help I can get to cover the $3000.00 for my rent.

Hi my name is Kerry and I am in need of help with a portion of February rent and all of March rent.  I have fallen behind on rent and doesn’t have  enough support to get caught up. Why have you fallen so far behind you ask? Life has a way of throwing rocks at you that you  aren’t able to get out of the way  fast enough. I got hit and depressed almost gave up, my children kept me a flout.  Where I have managed to buy food and pay for utilities the rent has been the heaviest of them all. I owe $5525 and this includes late fees a portion of February and all of March. Knowing that today is March 1st and I don’t have rent kills me. Anxiety about loosing my stability and housing keeps me up at night. My 40 hrs work week  is now  29 hrs to make day care work and I am still struggling with paying that but that is the least of my struggles. Usually, I problem solve through my challenges but this time around I am tired and out of options. I wont give up but acknowledges that I am tired, sad  and feels like a failure for being in this situation. It breaks my heart that I am on here asking for help. But this time I absolutely need  help. The 15th of March is my dead line to make a payment . I am hoping that there will be enough to pay off the balance or as much as.  This would give me the opportunity to get caught up on the other bills that I have fallen behind on. As well as enough breathing room to plan a head and make adjustments for April and moving forward. Hello and thank you for reading. I’m writing in hopes to find help with my rent. I’ve been a professional photographer for the last 20 years. Digital photography has really flooded this market and finding work can sometimes be impossible. I manage to make it but this month has been almost no work.
