Good evening.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to ask for assistance in completing my tuition fee and also upkeep for me and my children while I study. I came into the United Kingdom in August 2023 to study for my postgraduate in hope that when I return to my country, I will find a better job that will enable me to be financial stable enough to take care of my children and aged parents.

Not only do I want to be financially stable, but I also want to make a global impact in my selected field of study which I have so much passion for. My journey to keep acquiring knowledge has been very interesting and rewarding though tough. Every bit of the way has been struggles, paying fees, registering for courses and certification, all while still trying to survive has really taken a toll on me all these years.

I have never imagined this is something I would be doing, but as I sit to write this note, I know now, that I am left with no choice at all. Though desperate, I am hopeful that something positive will come out of this plea.

I was so happy when I gained admission to come and study in the UK at the Henley Business School studying International Human Resource Management, I thought to myself “This is yet another opportunity for me to increase my knowledge and add value to the world” but that happiness was almost immediately replaced with a deep sense of sadness thinking about how to raise funds. Thankfully, good and generous relatives helped from the little they had, and I was able to pay almost half of the tuition plus flight ticket and accommodation for a short while.

Since I arrived, I have looked for work with no luck, and right now it is really getting tight. The balance of my tuition is due, and upkeep completely depleted. It is so hard focusing as I spend all my time looking for jobs everywhere just to sustain us (me and the children).

I am reaching out here for help. Help to complete my tuition fees and help for upkeep to sustain myself and the children for the duration of my study. My children are looking up to me, my aged parents as well, I do not want to fail them.

So, I am humbly begging:

1. Help my complete the balance of my tuition fee – 11, ooo GBP.
2. Assist with financial upkeep for basics like groceries, rent and bills pending when I get work.

I know there are a lot of people in my situation or even worse that are in need, but any assistance I receive here will change my life and the lives of those that are looking up to me (my children, aged parents and the world at large).

Thank you so much for taking out time from your tight schedule to read and listen to me. My name is Franklin, a licensed Registered Nurse from Nigeria, Currently in Bournemouth University, England doing my Masters program in Public Health. I’m in dire need of your help with paying my remaining tuition fees. I have paid a totally sum of £4,800.00 towards the payment of my tuition fee with a balance of £10,450. My total tuition fee is £15,250.00

The school have given me a deadline of NOVEMBER 13^th, 2023 to remit my tuition fees or stand the chance of been withdrawn from my program and send me back to my home country. I’m the first Child of my parents in a family of 5. I lost my dear and ever loving Father to the cold hands of death on the 14^th July 2023, he was buried on the 24^th of August, 2023.

This has impacted me negatively as am unable to pay my remaining tuition since my only sponsor has died and this leaves me with struggling in taking care of my aged mother and my siblings back home in Nigeria from the little a get in the bakery were i work as a student to support myself . I work as a volunteer student rep in the  university in helping to educate the student on the dangers in  smoking and substance abuse which is on the increase in the Uk.

It has been challenging and frustrating trying to balance my studies with work. Managing time between classes, group assignments and my part-time work schedule takes its toll. I do my best to be awake in classes and participate fully no matter how tired I may feel.

I believe in education and its power to transform my future and also help my family but thoughts of dropping out have begun to plague my mind as a result of the finances, I have not been able to get a loan or grant; I find myself holding back from crying most nights, I barely eat because I am trying to save as much money for my tuition, apparently I lost of weight because of this and had to get some student counselling to help me cope with the mental pressure.

I am here sincerely asking because I don’t know where else to go, I don’t want to drop out of school, I am passionate about my studies and am hopeful for my future after graduation. At the best of times, I see myself working with a charity/NGO focused on Primary healthcare as a NURSE and educationist in future. Please kindly consider helping me so I can complete my studies. please I want to make a request for support with my tuition fees. I am a mother with four children with my youngest having disability with autism( non verbal). This limited my chances of working because I have to support him for his daily living activities. Working with him for 7 years has made me to develop interest in the field of care in order to support disabled people and their families because is a very difficult thing to experience.  I have gained admission twice in the university  to study Learning Disability Nursing but due to funding because I was charged as an international student at £17,000 it could not work for me since I am not in employment. Presently I have gained admission again but this time B.A HONS PUBLIC HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE and is a big struggle now trying to pay tuition fees and meeting the demands of my children. please I need financially help to navigate through the university so that I can achieve my goal of working and supporting disabled people and their families.

I am a single mother of two. My daughter was diagnosed with INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE (ILD) and PULMONARY HEART DISEASE last year after being treated for ASTHMA for 5 years, which she never had. The day she got admitted into hospital is when they told us that she had perforated lungs and also had cysts on both lungs. That very night one of her lungs collapsed and they had to put tubes in to drain the air that she had. She ended up staying in hospital for 3 months and had to have a lung operation. She now uses oxygen at home all the time. Since all this happened, I haven’t been able to work full time. I also have a son who is training to be a pilot. He had to stop his course abruptly because I cannot afford to pay his fees anymore. I am working part time because I am looking after my daughter. Going for hospital appointments is a challenge because we have to use taxis because my daughter can’t walk far as she gets extremely breathless. I cannot afford to buy a car with the wages that I’m on. I am therefore asking for help to pay for my son’s course and any help to look after my daughter. I’ve always worked full time and looked after my children single handedly.  I just don’t know who to turn to for this.

My parents are wonderful and loving people, who have done their very best to love and raise us, however, both of them are unable to work at the moment; Mum takes care of Dad at home, as he is being managed for type 2 diabetes and hypertension for the past 6 years. Both my parents have sacrificed so much to pay a part of my school fees and I am so very grateful for their sacrifice. I have also been able to save £1,290 from my part-time jobs which I have paid as an earlier instalment for tuition. I work as a support administrator/customer rep, as well as a volunteer student rep at the university.
