My ultimate goal is to become a qualified linguist. Single mother trying to pay for school tuition & bills.

Hello everyone, I’m struggling single mother of 2 girls.Unfortunately when I was young I was unable to finish school & having parents that didn’t finish school either i lost interest being young & naive. I have recently become a single mother of two children who are 4 years old and 8 months old. I have worked tirelessly to get into the Registered Nursing Program at Bakersfield College. I became a CNA during my last pregnancy, and I work 12 hour shifts for only $17 an hour. The nursing program is a full time job so I will not be making as much money anymore to support my children. The original plan was for my mother to take care of my baby and my 4-year-old after school. However, she has now realized that it is too much for her to handle. I need to pay for day care in addition to tuition, books, rent, etc. Our rent is increasing in September to $1700. I am currently looking for a cheaper place to live. However, most places expect you to make 3x the rent and have a longer rental history. I have not received financial aid or Community Connections day care due to my children’s father’s income. However, since I separated from him, he was only ordered to pay me $500 in child support even though I am the primary custodial parent. I work hard to provide for my children. Help with Son’sTuition

Greetings!

I am writing this request for assistance with paying for my son’s tuition that is due less than two weeks.

Caleb Smith is a 2023 high school graduate with a certification in Masonry. He is a football player and has been given the opportunity to attend Palmetto Preparatory Academy in Columbia, South Carolina this fall from August to November. By the time this season end, he would be picked up by a Division I or II school to continue his education. Some tuition has been paid, but the remaining balance is $5400. This includes his apartment(utiliites included) and tuition. The meal plan which include 5 meals a day(3 main meals and two snacks) cost $875.

The school has created a payment plan for me to pay on this throughout the season until completed. The biggest problem has been me being the only provider in this household that take care of everything. Caleb work and help me with the car note and car insurance. As I look for and jobs with better income, as well as wait for call backs, I Doordash full time. It helps with some things, but still behind in all things which allows me to not be able to set aside anything. At this point I had expected some investment money to be available to pay for his tuition, but that is not available. The plan was while waiting for the money, I would have had another job to help me with those expenses, but every door has been closing or unresponsive.

Caleb is really an awesome young man who deserve the best! Extremely selfless and I could not ask for a better son. This is why I am requesting assistance with the tuition. The payment plan starts July 14th, 2023 at $108, and next week a different amount. I do not want to be in the red with his payments, because if so, they will kick him off the team and so forth.

No it is not anyone’s responsibility, but mine to take care of his needs, but I have been trying to make it happen, and I keep getting nothing. I am working around the clock to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. This is just a mother who is in need of some major help to get my son in school without him being put out, heartbroken and peace of mind disrupted. Caleb deserves a chance. Good day to you all. My name is Tunde Clement Dabang I am the son of the late Major CD Dabang who died in 1976 Nigerian coup. He died in March my mother gave birth to me in May. My mother relocated when I was nine years. I grew on the street. I struggled through life till I applied for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Brunel University London in 2013. I sought for a scholarship and help. But it was unsuccessful. I took my shot in 2019 and resumed hoping that things will get better. In 2022 it rised to three months and later to five months. Yesterday the 11th of July, 2023. My application was turned down my Guarantee Trust Bank Nigeria. That we should go to the black market to source for foreign exchange henceforth.

I went to the finance department at Brunel University London to plead for the possibility of spreading the payments. They told me, I have till ending August to pay as the calendar year ends in September.

Before now, I have been leaving like an animal in the UK. I am homeless, I sleep on the ground in school cause I can’t afford to get a rented apartment. Is it not better I use any money I get to pay for my tuition rather than spending money on rent. I have endured my hardship alone as the hand of God and my destiny to go through this pain and hardship. No bathroom and I can’t cook. Only the microwave provided by the school authority.

But, my secret can not go any further as the school has turned a wicked side to me. I screamed in the student center yesterday. After paying 52,000 pounds for three years. I am only left with only 8000 pounds. And was threaten to pay before August. I attached the evidence of my tuition and the outstanding.
