Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Emergency Help Single mom living in motel

Greetings

I am reaching out in need of help I am a 46 year old single mom I have a 9 year old son we have been living in a motel when I am able to get one when I am not .We have been staying in the foreclosed home of my mother in law whom passed away in July from a brain aneurysm this was devastating to me and my son whom he was extremely close to her. After she passed I found out that the house was in foreclosure and we could no longer live there. I have a full time job however my wages is not enough to rent an apartment due to having to make 3 times the rent payment.

I am 2 car payments behind since I have been  using the moneys that I make for motel rooms so my son can have a bath and a warm place to sleep.

We live in Texas so the weather is cold right now.

. I would like to do door dash or Uber eats but my car needs an oil change brakes and it has a gas smell in the inside which is not idle to deliver anyone’s food .

Each morning I wake I thank goodness that I am still here and ask for a way to provide for my son. Almost daily my son says to me Mommy hopefully we will have money for a room.  To have your 9 year old worrying about a place to stay because he is afraid of being in the cold abandoned house is depressing. I hate not being able to give him a piece of mind

We were sick late week from a stomach bug so I had to use all the moneys for a room instead of staying the night at the house.  I have a sister that helps when she can even though she is going through her on hardship her 16 year old daughter was beating by a so-called group of friends the teenagers got into a car wreck we assume heading to dump her body.  she was in trauma ICU got  2 months and is now going through physical therapy.

We are so thankful that the car got into the wreck because we may not have founded her

So miracles happened everyday.

During the time we got the news about my niece I was in the middle of moving out my mother in law house.  I have a brother that is not working so I asked him for help to get my belongings out the house. This was the best and worst ideas I have ever had my brother who is on meth ran off with my U-Haul truck he sold most of the valuable items off the U-Haul the items I was able to save I but in storage needless to say I am also about to loss  my storage.

I feel lost and hopeless but I know I have to be strong for my son.

I hope that I will be able to be in a apartment house anywhere with a little bit of financial stability by Christmas to give my son a gift of a save warm place to stay and tell him merry Christmas I love you and don’t worry money.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read about my life any and all help is greatly appreciated

Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Single mom of 3

Back in July of 2023 my family was displaced after living in a home that I rented for 5 years. The  walls literally started to collapse. The roof collapsed after years of neglect of property maintenance. The property management company was no longer doing maintenance on the home after going bankrupt so the home I lived in with my family, it’s no longer my home. I was fortunate enough to have a place to go staying with family but that was short-lived and very unwelcoming for me and my children. I continued to drive my children more than 200 miles a week to get them to school just so we had a roof over our heads. I don’t receive child support. I don’t receive government assistance though I’ve tried and been denied many times. After working two jobs and countless side gigs I was able to save up enough to move November 2023. Within a week of living in our new place,my car was backed into. I can barely afford groceries, let alone christmas on top of having to pay rent again, now my car. The deposit and move drained all my savings. I understand I’m blessed in many ways but it is also detrimental to always be behind when you’re trying to get ahead. I don’t have much of a support system. I am the whole village for my children. I work so hard to set an example for my children to never give up on life no matter what hand you are dealt. Life hasn’t been easy or kind, it’s been difficult and exhausting. I would love to be able to give my kids a good Christmas. They deserve the world and weve all been through so much since i left their father. This time of year has always deepened my depression. Ive lost so much to gain peace. I would want nothing more than the pressure to be relieved. Im struggling to pay rent/bills/groceries and provide Christmas.  Thank you for reading my story if you made it this far. These words cant even begin to touch on the struggles of my life but i hope that many peoples blessings will be met.

Needing help with a lawyer for my boys

Where do I begin.. a little back story, I just got out of a Narcissist relationship with my ex, and everything was going very very well for me, until the unthinkable happened, he decided out of nowhere to put a restraining order on me!! Out of nowhere, we have two boys together so this is very hard because I haven’t gotten to see my boys since the week of Thanksgiving. With that being said lawyers are not cheap at all and I don’t have the funds anywhere to drop $5,000 to help fight for my boys and it’s heartbreaking. I’ve been so stressed and so depressed over it, because I can’t loose them. I am now trying so hard to come up with the money but $5,000 in a week is a lot. So any little bit helps out. Thank you so much

Single mother facing eviction and trying to start a business to provide a better life to her children

First of all, I would like to thank anyone who will take the time to read my story and eventually assist me.

I am a single mother of two children, I separated from my husband 3 years ago due to domestic violence. The children live with me since then but I do not receive any help from the father, he does not pay alimony or any other type of support, I take care of my children alone and with my small salary it is not easy, I have been struggling to pay my bills, we always reach the end of the month with difficulties. I am trying to launch an online business to get out of this situation but I have no funding. I use my little salary to pay for food and the expenses I can and I invest  the rest in my business. This situation has forced me to stop paying the rent. I currently owe 6.900€ in rent and I am facing eviction. If some one could help me with this debt I would be very, very grateful.

Thank you so much for your help.

Single mother of three young kids in need of a blessing/ a break

I am a single mother of 3 young kids. My kids father is mentally and emotionally abusive. Very controlling in the matters of my life and uses pretending to want to be a dad as a way to keep tabs on my life even though he left me and the kids for a woman who had more money and no kids with him so he didn’t have to use the money to take care of family. He would offer to help us only if I do what he says and wants which includes me letting him have any kind of access to me ( financially and sexually) and my children ( seeing them when he wants which is not often for only an hour or so at a time) even though he will not commit to being apart of our family
I am exhausted, I take care of my three kids by myself every day doing every thing for each and every one of them. I am not able to get a job due to my youngest being 16 months and not able to find a daycare that has available spot for his age. We live in a house that has no running hot water, a majorly leaking roof, and infested with field mice. I believe in the lord and I do the very best I can to make sure that even with all this hardship my kids are taken care of and healthy. I make sure they go to school and appropriate doctor appointments and I feed them as healthy food as I can.
We need somewhere better to live that I may be able to be the best mother I know I can be without all the hindering aspects of living in a broke down house. I’m so stressed out about our living situation that I feel I can not be the attentive mother I would like to be. As I said I do make sure the priorities of being a good mother are done like getting them to school etc., but I would like to be more present and not always so stressed and worried.
Looking for a place with limited finances is hard, nobody has apartment or home available for my income. If I could just get a place that is up to par ( running hot water, no mice, no leaking roof)  I feel my life and my kids life would be better because I could then work from home since I can not get my youngest into day care as I am a hairstylist
I’m here asking for monetary donations to possible help with finding better shelter or to help fix the shelter we have however to fix the shelter we have will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. I am also open to any help on securing better shelter ( if any one has a home or know of a home they can let us stay in or rent to me at an affordable price for me). We are currently located in Northern California about 30 -45 mins from the Bay Area.

I am sure my story is a story that others may have as well but to me this problem I am having is big and heavy. I have always been the type to make things happen on my own but I have reached the end of my rope and must ask for help. I do not have any one around who can or is willing to help that I know personally which is why I came here. I pray the lord lets this touch the heart of some if not many to help my family out. All we need is a little help/ a little break from the hardships of life so that I may once again be able to provide for my family on my own. Thank you to any one that took the time to read and or donate. Please share my story to any one or anywhere that you think would get me some help. God bless

Lily of the Valley

Hi, my name is Derek and im going to be a new dad. Im very excited but there is alot of uncertainty. My girlfriend and I live 4000 miles away from each other. She lives in Alaska while I live in Ohio. She has been told by her doctor that she had a 1 percent chance of conceiving a child because of a medical condition. Well, she got pregnant against all the odds and it seems we have a miracle baby on the way, a baby girl that we named Liliana or Lily for short.

What I’m asking is for some financial help so I can get to her and help her with everything she needs and the baby who is due in april. I work 10 hour days sometimes 60 hours a week and im exhausted the money is never enough and I feel im at my wits end trying to make ends meet. Please if you can find it in your heart to help a new struggling family 4000 miles away from each other I would truely be over the moon.

I need help to fix my car so that I can start my business, and this help my children who have various health conditions.

Hi, my name is Luz as a single mother of three children, one of them is Autistic and the eldest has a delicate health condition and even so, holding my hand together with my daughter is not enough, I want to be able to help them financially but I do not work since I have to take care of my Autistic son, but I also have health conditions that sometimes get complicated for me.

The reason for my letter is that we need help fixing our car so that my children can go to work and college. But I can also help them, it’s very frustrating when my health attacks me and also frustrating the economic factor of not being able to fix the car’s transmission and thus be able to move well. On the other hand, it would help me to be able to start a food business and thus feel useful and be able to help my children. So, what I’m asking for to start is $10,000 so I can fix my car and be a little emotionally relieved

I very much appreciate your time in reading my letter, I also very much appreciate your valuable time in helping me. Below I send the link for the help required.

Here I send the cash App link is $Luz370, and for

Single mother in need of a vehicle and Christmas gifts for 3 amazing boys!!

“The troubles of my heart have enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses!

Psalm 25:17

Hello and Happy Holidays! I want to start by saying “thank you” to all who have found it in your heart to be so kind and generous to help others find hope during our time of need.

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it, it will be measured back to you.  Luke 6:38

My name is Savannah and I am a 37 year old single mother of 3 amazing young boys; Jamison(16) Kason(15) and Audrik(11).  I am a licensed Cosmetologist in North Carolina and I have loved my career for almost 18 years. I am very passionate about my work and love nothing more than to make people feel great about themselves. Over the years, I have been blessed with amazing clients and I strive to do my best work on each and every one of them. As we all have experienced hardships throughout our lives, at this time, I am coming here to ask for not only financial assistance but also your prayers. Just recently, I have found the strength, through lots of prayer and thought, to walk away from an extremely unhealthy, toxic relationship. For the last 4 years, I have been mentally and emotionally abused by a man who said he loved us. My children, his children(17 and 19 year old girls) and I have been fed so many lies, broken promises and were told to wait until he made it and we would all be fine. I was tired of the lies, the broken promises, excuses, narcissism and gaslighting a long time ago, but I had to figure out the safest and easiest way to ask him to leave without him hurting us further. Due to his carelessness, unfortunately he left us with a huge financial mess. He took the vehicle that I was driving daily to get my children to and from school and all of their sporting events. I am not able to afford a reliable vehicle(or any vehicle) at this time, I’m struggling to pay my bills and I definitely don’t have anything extra to buy my children anything for Christmas this year. I have a wonderful support system from my family friends, but unfortunately none of them are able to financially help me at this time. To hear my children tell me they are proud of me for protecting them means everything to me. I want to be able to help them feel safe in a reliable vehicle and they deserve to wake up on Christmas morning with gifts. I do work hard, full time from a salon space in my home and before he took the car, I was delivering for Ubereats and Spark driver for Walmart. I can no longer do my deliveries and its been such a huge struggle to keep up with everything. My parents divorced after almost 30 years of marriage just before Covid hit and they moved to different states and I no longer have family close to help me transport my children to and from their activities. I was working in a salon when Covid hit, but unfortunately was laid off in 2021. I decided to make a small salon in my home so that I could have the flexibility for my children and their schedules. I love being able to be a part of my childrens sports and school activities. I’m not one to ask for help but this is my only hope for a new beginning and a great Christmas for my children. Please help me provide a fresh start for my 3 amazing boys! I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to hear my cry for help and for contributing any way that you can. I hope you all and your families have a very blessed and Merry Christmas. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! GOD BLESS!

Help me do JUSTICE, I am a single mother. I need them

It is with a heart full of need and hope that I reach out to you today. On October 4th in Orlando Fl, I received the most devastating news any mother could face: I discovered that my daughter has been a victim of sexual abuse by my ex-husband since she was 11 years old; at that time, she was 15. Three and a half years have passed since then, and we find ourselves in a challenging situation where we have decided to seek justice with the help of a lawyer.

Unfortunately, to date, we have not received concrete answers from the prosecutor’s office, and this struggle has accumulated a significant financial burden. Additionally, stemming from my marriage, I also have a young son of 5 years. Last year, I dealt with COVID-19 on two occasions, which forced me to stop working and, as a result, accumulate debts with personal loans that I have not been able to settle.

I thank God because, despite all the hardships, we have not lacked shelter or food. My rent and utility payments are up to date, but now I face the challenge of covering the legal fees needed to address this painful case. My intention is not only to seek justice for my daughter but also to alleviate the financial burden that this situation has brought into our lives.

At this moment, I need to raise $30,000 to cover the lawyer’s fees and settle the outstanding debts affecting my credit history, preventing me from accessing loans or any other form of financial assistance.

I humbly ask, from the bottom of my heart, that you consider joining this cause and helping me in this challenging situation. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and bring us one step closer to justice and financial stability.

I deeply appreciate your support and thank you in advance for any help you can provide. May God bless all the generous hearts that join this cause.

With gratitude,

Matthew 7:7 because I really don’t know where else to turn too.

I’m a single mom to a 9 y/o girl. I work a full-time job and was currently forced to work only part time. I’m currently in the worst position of my life. Sometimes, I want to just give up. But I wasn’t raised that way. I come from a family who is hardworking. Unfortunately, my parents aren’t well off nor have any money to help me .

It’s started October 16 2022 my 8 year old, then my daughter canr up to me to tell me that my boyfriend of 7 years was abusing her. He betrayed us in the worst ways. She called him dad. I gave this man everything I had to give n loved him. I took care of his mom while she was sick with a stroke . I wiped her and cared for her like as if she was my mom. I reposted to police but nothing was done he glad the country. While my daughter is left with mental issues n PTSD. I fell into a depression, I had just bought my brand new car I got covid and I was bedbound for over a month before I can go back to work . I missed my car insurance payment and got In an accident Feb 3rd 2023. Since no insurance. I lost it and got stuck with a whole car loan . Credit score went down. My job has been so understanding.

My daughter started having issues in school and forced me to work only 3 days a week , so she can start her therapy. I pay 1600 a month for rent. I’m behind 2 months right now. Still no car , bills are just piling up. 4 days ago, I talked to my dad. (My world) he is having surgery next week. For possible kidney cancer. I can’t even go and be with him or help him. I’m an only child . He has nobody else.

I would like some help got my rent and bills and a car.

I really don’t have any other options .

I’m falling back into depression and really trying hard to be strong and keep fighting, but I ran out of strength. My dad is everything to me. I don’t know what I’ll do without him.

Single going through hardship

Hello,

I would first like to start off by saying thank you to anyone who provides any assistance and reads my cry for help.

My dad passed away three months ago and everything has went down hill for me since. My job did not allow bereavement pay and I had to miss days of work, which caused me to be way behind on bills and other expenses. Since he has passed, my mom has been struggling to pay her bills and I have been helping her to make ends meet and now i am trying to get back on my feet with my bills. I have been working major overtime and am still falling short on payments. I am behind two months on my rent and am now facing eviction with a balance of $3,100 which includes my rent and court fees. Also, before my dad passed away, my car broke down and he was trying to repair it but didn’t get a chance to finish, which caused me to take it to the dealership for repairs, which came to a total of $3400 and I have no way of paying for that right now. Everything just happened so fast and this is the lowest i have ever been and have felt. Between grieving, having two boys to stay strong for and take care of , facing eviction, car repairs, and trying to help my mom the best way I can has been it’s has been so so so hard.  Please please please help and thank you for hearing my situation and for any assistance.

A Woman’s Journey of Hardship and Hope for a Fresh Start

I wanted to share a part of my journey with you, as I believe in the power of connection and seeking support in times of need.

For 18 years, I was fortunate to be with my amazing ex-husband, who had a college degree and supported me in my role as a stay-at-home mom. It allowed me to focus on raising our children, but during those 14 years, I battled severe depression. As I began the process of reentering the workforce, I faced the daunting challenge of starting from scratch, having no work experience over the past 14 years. I began at minimum wage and slowly worked my way back up.

Since my divorce and living on my own, I have been able to stabilize my financial situation a bit. The bills are now more manageable, and I have worked hard to achieve a decent wage. However, during this journey, I found myself in an unhealthy relationship with a narcissistic man who betrayed and treated me as if I were insignificant. The immense stress from this experience took a toll on my well-being, causing me to lose 50 lbs in just four months. To compound matters, I had two cars break down within a short span of time, leaving me without a vehicle for over six months.

However, amidst the challenges, a small miracle occurred. I received a refund from the IRS, which allowed me to pay off credit card debt and purchase a vehicle. Unfortunately, it came to my attention that the vehicle had accumulated two years’ worth of back registration and penalties. I had to bear the burden of paying nearly $1,000 to obtain the necessary plates. As I diligently saved to pay off this unexpected expense, my beloved dog fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer. I had to redirect my savings towards his medical bills and my new vehicle’s unexpected repairs. Consequently, I was occasionally compelled to rely on credit cards to cover essential expenses such as bills, gas, and groceries.

Adding to the difficulties, a recent incident at the laundromat resulted in the theft of virtually all my clothing. Additionally, there are underlying medical and dental issues that I have hesitated to address due to the associated copays and costs. It often feels as though one challenge follows another. While I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, I now find myself craving a fresh start, a clean slate to rediscover where I truly belong in this world.

With great humility, I reach out to you for a helping hand. Asking for help is not easy for me and I don’t do it very often. My sole desire is to eliminate my debt and move forward with my life, propelled by the determination to succeed and grow. Furthermore, I am making plans to leave the city I have called home for over 20 years, not only to be nearer to the love of my life but also to break free from what feels like a stagnant existence.

I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read my story and extending your support. Your empathy and understanding mean the world to me. Should you have any advice, resources, or opportunities that may assist me in my journey, I would be incredibly grateful.

Thank you once again, and may kindness and compassion guide your path.
