Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Running in place and getting nowhere

Hello to whomever is kind enough to take time out of there day to give this a read-

Just a little about me and my background. I’m a single mom of a daughter whom is my life. I’m originally from New Orleans but moved to Miami after Katrina hit New Orleans. I had a sister that lived here and was able to transfer through my job (which was in Finance for which I worked in for 14  years) while evacuated. In 2018 I had two seizure’s as a cause of stress after my divorce. I had every test under the sun taken to try and discover another cause of the trigger. While in the hospital I called my mom/best friend ( who was still living in New Orleans) and found out via by her spouse that she’d suffered from a brain aneurism and was in the hospital getting surgery and in a coma. I immediately signed myself out of the hospital AMA (against medical advice) in Miami and flew to her. I’d gone to the hospital in an ambulance and upon leaving just walked back to my apartment to give myself to register everything that had happened. When I’d had my original seizure I’d fallen and busted my head open and lost a lot of blood. I’d never experienced a seizure’s previously and the only thing that I believe that brought me out of it was my daughters voice. I had to get stiches while in the hospital and upon arriving back to my apartment started to clean up all the blood that was horrific. Then I flew out to New Orleans. My mom made it through her ordeal, was never the same but she made it until 2020. But then had further health complications and was again hospitalized.. She passed and I had to handle all the instructions with her care from afar because it was 2020 and no one was allowed. Eventually the Doctor called me and said I needed to let her go as she was septic and that point he thought I was keeping her alive at a disadvantage to her. Then I had to handle the arrangements for her remains and they were shipped to me in a USPS box that I picked up in the leasing office of  my apartment building. When moving into said apartment I was already divorced but having a hard time finding work given I’d been a stay at home mom previously while working part-time in an office job. I dedicated most of my time to my child because I didn’t have a choice with no family around to support and help. Also, I don’t speak Spanish so that’s been a disadvantage when trying to find work here in Miami, although I’ve picked up what I can. I’m looking at my 3rd scare of eviction because I just can’t find decent paying work. I’m not looking to take advantage of anything or anyone but I’m more than struggling and need help.

Please mother with 4 children need help

Hello to All as difficult as it is for me to write this at the moment especially asking for help. I am so overwhelmed I’m in a tough situation making ends meet with anything. My children 4 under 12 are my biggest priority. We are living with friends we are trying to move I do not have the ability to save up for moving coat. I work 9 hours a day and I try to do the best that I can but it’s been difficult. We really only had 2 months to leave and we are at our final week. I am so worried and don’t know what I will do and facing a shelter worries me so much especially for my little ones to experience that. I tried to apply for Audi does but they won’t help unless we go to a shelter and even that takes more time. At the moment I am in a financial situation due to purchasing groceries and assisting with payments for where we live now. Anything can help even guidance. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and any efforts.

**Help a Single Mom Turn Her Small Farm into a Thriving Business**

Hello, my name is Tracy, and I’m a single mom to two amazing daughters, aged 13 and 20. After enduring years of abuse from my narcissistic ex-husband, we’re finally free and working hard to rebuild our lives. My ex-husband had a traumatic accident at work, which led him to drugs and alcohol, and he became increasingly abusive towards our family. Despite my efforts to protect my daughters, the constant abuse took a toll on all of us, and I developed several autoimmune diseases due to the stress.

I recently inherited a generational family home, which I’ve turned into a small farm on Long Island, New York. This farm is not just a home but a place where we are healing and finding new purpose. My passion is permaculture, and I dream of turning our farm into a purely organic and community-focused business. This would allow me to work from home, be there for my youngest daughter who is struggling with her own trauma, and create a sustainable income for our family.

Despite working multiple jobs like DoorDash, Instacart, and Shipt, it’s still not enough to cover all our expenses and invest in the farm. We’re currently facing financial hardships, and my ex-husband refuses to pay child support. I’m in the process of handling this through the courts, but in the meantime, we’re struggling to make ends meet.

I’m reaching out to ask for your help to raise $7,500. This amount would allow me to:

– Pay off the last two credit card bills to start rebuilding my credit, which was destroyed by my ex-husband.

– Purchase necessary equipment and supplies to kickstart our organic farming business.

I’m not looking for a handout, just a hand up to get back on my feet and provide a stable, nurturing environment for my daughters. Your support would mean the world to us and help us turn our passion into a thriving business that benefits our community.

Thank you for considering our story and for any support you can provide.

I am a single mother with two kids

Dear Sir/Madam,
Have a good day! I hope this letter finds you well.
My beloved husband passed away because of a heart attack while we were in the most beautiful time of our lives. This unfortunate incident happened five months ago, and he was 36 years old. We have a 4-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. My husband was working in a restaurant and after his death, I was given some money by the restaurant management. I managed to continue life with these two kids in a rented house as we were not invited by the husband’s parents’ home. My both kids are going to school and after considering our situation, the school management gave us a half scholarship and I managed to arrange our lives with the money we were given so far.
Meanwhile, my elder son is having eye problems, and he needs to follow vision therapy treatments more than 20 times per month, and it costs me lots of money. After these medical checkups, doctors want me to continue the treatment to develop the vision of my son. Gradually my life is becoming more challenging, and I cannot leave any of these responsibilities as I am the only one my kids have now.
I am not in a situation to work in any place as I have to take care of my kids. However, I have learned to make birthday cakes and resin arts and would like to develop them as a self-employee. But I cannot afford to buy the equipment and the materials to do that. I would like to request your help and I appreciate you considering my request.

Thank you!
Best Regards
Shakila U Gamage

Newly single mother, and family death has left us broke.

Hello everyone,

I never thought I would find myself in this position, but I am reaching out today to ask for help. Life has been incredibly challenging lately, and I am struggling to keep my head above water.

As a single mom, I made the heart-wrenching decision to leave an abusive relationship. This decision came on the heels of my father’s passing, a loss that devastated our family. I moved in with my mother to support her through this difficult time, hoping to build a safe and loving environment for my child.

However, things took another turn for the worse. The home we shared, the place we thought would be our sanctuary, began to fall apart. The structural issues were so severe that my mother had no choice but to file for bankruptcy. We lost our home and were left scrambling to find a new place to live.

Now, with bills piling up and rocketing standard of living prices, I am struggling more than ever. My savings have been drained by unexpected expenses, and I am finding it increasingly difficult to provide for my child’s basic needs. The weight of these financial burdens is overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to keep us afloat.

I am humbly asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Any assistance, no matter how small, would make a world of difference for my family. Your generosity would help us stop drowning and get back on our feet.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer. Your kindness means more to me than words can express.

I never knew losing my brother was the beginning to losing everything

” They want to put a pacemaker in me”. I will never forget those bone chilling words that escaped from my brothers mouth a week before he passed away. I don’t think him or I knew the severity of the situation. To look at him he did not look ill and he didn’t act as sick either. Try and imagine the confusion and devastation that overcame me the day. I got the call.

In total disbelief I begged and pleaded to tell me that this was all just a misunderstanding. It didn’t matter how many times I pleaded  and begged because this was my reality and this was just the beginning.  I had no idea what i was about to embark on as I began my spiritual journey. Unfortunately, I also was going to face the hardest time of my entire life during a series of unfortunate events that would leave me with nothing.

I’m a forty six year old mother who lived on a farm, which sat on twenty eight acres. I have 3 children all living with me, five animals, a long-term live in boyfriend, and im the proud owner was the proud owner of a dodge ram truck  I run 6 booths at the local flea market and I do some door dashing on the side all the while i take care of the farm. Well that was the regime anyway until about three days after laying my brother to rest. I was notified by the landlord that they have scheduled the farm house for demolition and I was forced to leave. Unfortunately, I  exhausted my savings three days prior to this news. My parents are on a fixed income. They could not financially afford to bury my brother.  I was honored to do so for my brother and so I exhausted my entire savings on his resting place. One can imagine how infect to catch wind of being forced to leave my home with no money for a new home. I had to make arrangements for my children to live with my parents, which was a huge inconvenience and a burden. Because they are grieving, the loss of their oldest child. I had to rehome my animals, which was devastating to me because I knew I would never see them again, and we had to put the rest of the things from the house into a storage unit.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the truck and kept plugging away at the flea markets and door dashing that is until my trucj seen better days and broke down for good. My boyfriend, who is a cohert ptsd combat vet suffered an episode and was submitted into the v. A hospital and has been there ever since.

Now, I had no transportation, I lost everything that I owned at the flea markets as a result of no vehicle. I was forced to move in with my parents But at the cost of their 30 year marriage. Unable to find work without a car, I lost everything that was in the storage unit and left me with nothing. Good news was I was back with my children again. Bad news, it cost my parents their marriage. Just about.in brief, i will fill ypu in on the background of my dad.  My father and my mother married before my brother was born.. my dad left my mother during her pregnancy with me and I never heard from him until I was 20 years old and I hunted him down. That’s when he remarried my mother, however, the trauma of losing my brother has put some serious stress in my parents marriage amd as a result of it they have drifted away from 1 another. I was sort of the icing on the cake.

It’s never easy asking for money, but desperate times calls for desperate measures and I’m beyond desperate. I’m a 46 year old single mother who graduated with 3 different college degrees. I attended university of Phoenix  where I earned my biology degree and HR Management degree and I earned my Associates of Science at Kent State. I believe in our Heavenly Father  our creator and his divine power. I believe in energy, frequencys, and positivity. I have tried to lead by example and show my children the way of life thru attending church, volunteering for community events such as pancakes with Prancer, and I have adopted families for Christmas in my own fundraisers that I started. I help others in need everytine I can be helpful to them. I would give the shirt off of my own back. When I lived at the farm I took in 7 people in all over the years and helped them get re established by providing them all with a roof over their heads 3 meals a day and never charged a single penny from any of them. I am greatful for anything I may receive, but I am in need of about 10k and with no car I am no good. I have tried selling things on ebay and haven’t made a penny over 800 bucks in three months. I am desperate to get on my own 2 feet again to show my kids anything can happen,, and to remove myself from my parents garage. Hopefully they can rekindle their relationship with one another. Meanwhile, i certainly would love to bring my boyfriend home.   I must have 1 months rent and security deposit plus a bank statement showing i have 3 months of rent in my bank account. That’s i a sum of 5k dollars. I need a descent car so I can get to and from work when I find work, and get my children back into sports and to and from school 5 days a week.  That’s about 3 grand plus tax, title, plates, and insurance I also need deposits for utilities and some groceries  will b nevessary. I would love to have furniture as I lost all mine  in our storeage unit. However, anything will be greatly appreciated.

I realise begging is not the way to success or a way of life. I also realise this is a hard world to surive in, but there are so many people doing it independently.  Everybody has their own story and i dont think mine is harder or better or more sad than any other persons story. I realize there is nothing that sets me apart or makes me special or privileged to receive any monetary amount, but it will be a blessing I assure u! I have tried taking surveys for cash, work from home gigs and nothing is working out for me. So thank you for your time amd consideration during this extreme difficult time of my life.

My cash ap is supadupa420

I hope and pray this has some solution….

**Help a Single Mom in Need: Support for Rent and Groceries**

Dear friends and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out today with a humble request for your support. My name is Sarah and I am a single mother of two beautiful children, aged 2 and 3. Our little family is currently facing some significant challenges, and we need your help.

Recently, I was hospitalized due to a rare and severe condition called Ludwig’s angina. This has left me in a vulnerable state as I recover, and it has severely impacted our financial situation. Between medical bills and the inability to work during my recovery, we are struggling to make ends meet.

We urgently need $1500 to cover our rent and groceries for the next month. This amount will ensure that we have a safe place to stay and enough food to eat while I regain my strength and get back on my feet.

Every little bit helps, and your generosity will make a world of difference for my family. If you can donate, please do so through my PayPal link. If you cannot donate, sharing this post with others would be immensely appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

With gratitude,

Sarah

Single hardworking mother needing to take care of home

To whom this letter reaches,

please grant me access to your ear for small moment. I want to begin by saying I am currently working full time and I am a full time mother with no help from their father and due to his small income, I can barely get by with his bare minimum. I am separated from spouse and when we sold our home, my spouse took all of my half of the funds. I have been nickel and diming and borrowing so much money to care for myself and my children since January 2024 that it has put me into deep debt. I am reaching my breaking point and I do not want to give up on them. As of recent I have a lawsuit against me for a loan I couldn’t pay back and now my vehicle is in the shop and is requiring a substantial amount to be fixed so I have been stuck home for awhile with no one else to help me financially. I am also having bills pile up with car payments behind, insurance, rent etc. I  am a hard worker and just need the boost and assistance to put me ahead so I can budget my money and be comfortable providing for my children and giving them the life they deserve. I have attempted to try and start asking for assistance in the community to no avail they say they have no funds and I have reached out to beyond finance to help me negotiate date and make small payments to help. I am more than grateful to receive temporary financial assistance to assist my future so that I can be independent and financially stable without showing my children I’m too tired to be a mother, able to feed them and make sure they have clothing and life necessities. Thank you sincerely for your time and hopefully your assistance.

Help please!

Peace & light!

Last month I was out of work for 3 weeks because of my iron was critically low. I had to pay $200 dollars every week for 5 weeks to receive iron treatments.  The money I used was my bill money and I am struggling to cover some expenses car and light bill. I am very grateful to receive any donations to help cover these bills.

Debt Help, Please

I am a single mother living with five kids (12yo, 6yo, 4yo, and twin 2yo) at home. My spouse had an affair and left us when the twins were only 6 weeks old (yes, you read that right). The children and I are presently living with my parents (which is a miserable situation on its own) while I struggle to get back on my feet.

I am currently drowning in debt. I owe $5419.45 on one loan, $4178.16 on a second loan, and $1592.04 on a credit card, totaling $11,189.65. I know this isn’t *a lot* of money in the grand scheme of things, but I only bring in $1300 a month and my dollars just aren’t stretching very far.

Taking care of this debt would release a lot of stress and let me focus on bettering our current situation.

Please, any and all donations will make a world of difference for us.

Thank you so much for reading this and considering my family.

Financial hardship-single mother

Hello, I am a single mother of three children. I am writing to request financial assistance as I am currently facing a difficult situation. My sister-in-law recently passed away from cancer, leaving behind five children. I have been emotionally and physically supporting my brother and his children during this difficult time, which has taken a toll on my finances.

Unfortunately, I was also laid off from my job during this time. I am currently working as a DoorDash driver and applying for other jobs, but it has been challenging to find employment due to my past criminal record.

I am reaching out to ask for donations in the amount of $5,000 to $10,000. This money would help me to pay my rent, car payment, and car insurance, as well as provide food and other necessities for my children. I understand that this is a significant amount of money to ask for, but I am truly desperate and I am willing to do whatever it takes to provide for my children.

I am grateful for any assistance that you can provide. Thank you for your time and consideration.

My cashapp tag is.

I don’t want to be broken anymore.

So this is pretty hard for me to do because I’ve been pretty damn independent but I’m just losing it. I was married for 15 years, recently divorced, with 2 boys (age 15 and 10). My ex had my entire childhood (literally threatened my parents to letting him marry me at 16) and college age years in control. I worked full time to please his needs. I went to college to get a better to job to make more money because he wanted a better life than I could afford with a lower paying job. He didn’t work because he couldn’t handle taking orders from people beneath him. When covid hit, he made me suffer at my accounting job so they would fire me and I could get unemployment since they were paying benefits plus an extra $600 each week. Not that that money ever lasted for him either. Every holiday for him was more and more he wanted and if he didnt get it, it would just be a bad time. After countless painful and crying nights, I finally found the courage to leave him through the help of the only friend I had since he isolated me from my family and anyone I knew. When I left… I thought things would get better. But since I was the only one working, and my heart is too damn big, I continued to pay his bills because he made me feel like I had to. He talked me into getting a loan to help get him a car and pay his rent on top of my car and my rent and taking care of our kids. During our divorce, he sweet talked the judge into me having to give him 80% of our bank sccount and half of my retirement that I had been building for over 10 years, which I took a hit for just to pull it out for him. I think if it was only monetary abuse I suffered, I could have handled it. But the mental, physical, and emotional abuse I still suffer from him is making it hard for me to be a good mom anymore. I just want out of this cycle so I can stop feeling like he is controlling me. I just want to move on and only have to deal with him for our sons, but I can’t until my name isn’t tied to his anymore. I know it was a mistake, and sometimes I still feel like he could take me into doing anything. My therapist tells me it’s a personal version of Stockholm syndrome which just makes me feel more sick. Again, I’ve been the “breadwinner” of my life for a long time but now that I’m on my own, I just want to have to worry about my own financials, not his too.

To anyone willing to help me gain my freedom, thank you sooo much. I appreciate anything and everything.
