My American Dream

Greetings and salutations to you all, thank you for your kindness in sparing your time. I hope that this message reaches you in the best of health. I am a 48 year old father to a 11 year old daughter and a husband to my 43 year old wife. It has been 10 months since we been evicted from our apartment and are living with family. I am the sole provider we can’t afford daycare so my wife is a stay at home to take care of taking our daughter to and from school. We just got blessed with a car about 5 months ago and now registration suspended because I can’t keep up with insurance and it lapsed and also behind on the monthly payments. Where we live at with family is far from my daughter school is a commute daily. I just can’t seem to save enough to get a place because of living paycheck to paycheck.

I humbly ask for help so I can get my family a place of our own again closer to where my daughter school is and to get caught up on our car bills which is vital part of my family now.

I am a true believer of the American Dream. Mine is going through some roadblocks right now due to not having enough income [Read more…]

I live In a SafeRest Village & They let my car get vandalized, now deny responsibility.

So my story starts like a lot of others’ do here in Portland, I’m homeless. And I’m currently on, at least, a couple dozen housing lists. I have been for several years now. But as of now, I have made a somewhat decent life for myself, as much as I could living out of my car. I’ve come up with a fairly profitable Canning route, and was able to save enough for a safe car Now at this point all I needed help with was actual housing! It seemed like a dream come true, running into a friend who told me about Allgood, and they’re “Safe Rest Village downtown. So, naturally, I jumped at the chance at temporary housing, until I came up on the housing lists. I moved in 14 long months later(I ironically was put on another waitlist to get into the village), and lived there until the whole site had to move up to Multnomah Boulevard, just behind Barber Safeway. Reason being, the staff felt unsafe, because of the gunshots happening every half hour. Fair enough. I remember the area, and t neighborhood, close to a grocery store. So I moved with everyone.

Now, everything was amazing, for the first nine months at the downtown location. Upon arrival at the new “safer” area, my spirits were soaring! Everything was coming together for me, all the hard work id been putting in was starting to pay off in under 2 years, I’d put myself in position to be a productive member of our society again, I couldn’t of been more proud of myself! I was in the last hurdle of turning my life around. What started off as shamefully collecting cans out of peoples’ trash’s, had led me to a variety of other odd jobs, that the members of the community’s were blessing me with. I no longer was embarrassed. or harassed, when I arrived in the neighborhoods was still canning in. I was lucky enough to now have an income 6 days a week, where made-$35 a day, that is the daily limit allowed for turning in cans. Yet also had steady odd jobs on 5 of the 6 days a week. And I now owned my 2008 BMW X5 SUV free and clear! (It helped that I got family price on vehicle cost, so about a third of bluebook had just moved into the final stop before getting affordable housing! Since there was no “guide on how to get yourself out of the gutter”. I was definitely more than proud of myself.

That was until the 3rd day at “Multnomah Safe Rest Village”. I was told that if I didn’t park my vehicle a block down the street, at the end of an unlit gravel road, that Allgood was going to have my car towed! Then I was told that where I was parked, along with everyone else, was a ‘Firelane’. So after work, I parked where I was told to, by the Director and Case Manager. When doing so, I was a bit confused because no other cars were parked where I was now.. not only were they not parked there, they were all now parked in EXACT spot I was told I couldn’t park! Now, since it was later in the evening, and 2nd shift village staff was now on.. I was going to have to wait until morning to see why I was the only one who had to park off grounds! Irritated, and tired, I stalked off to bed.

The next morning, I was horrified to find my vehicle had been broken into, not only broken into but they had ransacked and destroyed just about everything in and on it. The messages left on my seats and dash, written in what I guessed was white paint, said un- kind things like “DIE HOMELESS FUCKS” “Go back to where you came from!” “die, die, die” “HA HA HA” “Fuck off!!” And, if that wasn’t enough, my backseat had been completely ripped out, and by doing so, that gave access to my fuel tanks, which were drained dry. Along with that, my transmission line(Sliced open) and both catalytic converters had been cut out. The Fan, and the entire radiator, were gone. The hood latch was busted off. And the drivers side window was missing. Among various other small things… I took a few pictures, then I got myself together and returned to the village, where I told staff and made a police report. Upon showing staff (the director walked down there and saw all of this) he told me to park my car back where it had been parked the very day before. I asked “How can I park there if it’s a Fire Lane? Won’t I get towed? And besides that, my car is undrivable. Hey, maybe I will need that tow after all!” My attempt at a joke didn’t make it far.. I was informed that was untrue, it was not now, nor had it ever been, a Firelane… What?

At that time, I was told not to worry! Allgood would take care of all of the damages involving my car. And for awhile it kind of looked like they were following through! A local garage came and fixed the drivers side window, and stated that’s all they could do, because they were just a body shop. I was asked how much I thought it would cost to fix everything I said “More than I paid for sure.” What needs fixed, that I’m aware of, is the fuel tanks, back seats, interior dome lights, tow package, transmission line, complete exhaust, hood release latch, radiator/fan, and various hoses, along with the entire interior replacment..

The Director, to this day, has not said one word to me about what’s going on. The last time we talked was when he returned from a vacation.. he pulled me aside after the Wendsday Community Meeting, and told me that “he’d been gone, but was now back!” And it’d all get “taken care of.” That was over a year ago. On the 9th of October 1 filed a grievance, where I asked for an update, or financial payment for the value of my car? Also 35$ per day that I’ve now been unable to work. I need my car to transport cans to the bottledrop, but also for the other odd jobs. Not a word. I asked how does the grievance procedure work? I was told that the Director probably tore it up, and that’s it. My car is still sitting outside the fence to this day, where we were able to pull it too, with the help of another villager.

Now none of this is my fault, I had my car downtown for over a year and never once was it touched. Had they not forced us into an area that once housed sex offenders, an area that they neglected to tell us, was literally run to the ground by the surrounding community, because they didn’t want them here. It would have been really nice to know that the community was against us moving here. But now, instead of my life moving forward, I’m now 100 steps behind, & nowhere closer to having a home.

That’s my story… But I have a few things to add;

All good claims to house people, right? Then how, out of the 30-40 people here, has only 1 moved out in over a year? And that 1 person actually paid for his apartment with his SSI checks.

Allgood has also recently gotten in trouble for overcharging their accounts, and possibly stealing, or using their funded money for anything other than housing people.

Allgood, in my opinion, is just another “NonProfit” saying they want to “help”, receiving funding, taking the money and using it on themselves. Doing anything and everything except getting people housed, and helping people. They’ve completely destroyed everything I was working towards.

So I’ve just stumbled across this website, and the funds I need to either replace or fix my car Is around ~$12,000. I have pictures from that day, If you’d like to see them? It’s worth a shot, right?

New being Sole Provider, Running Deficit, Need help with investment into product idea in order to provide.

I am a new father to a newborn son, and adopted 6year old. I need help with resources in order to start building carbon filtered nightstands to sell and bring in money to provide for my family.

Credit cards unfortunately were maxed out during the end of the pandemic, and not working during the three month demise of my late father. I started working a new career doing maintenance in a hospital, have good benefits for the family, but run a deficit of close to $800 monthly with using all income on bills and groceries. (We have not eaten out or fast food in over a year)

I desperately beg for a little outside support so I can attempt to bring in more income and at least break even every month before I go into default on my debts.

Any amount will be most greatly appreciated and never forgotten.

Thank you in advance, and to everyone, have an amazing week and stay strong!

PLEASE!! Urgent Financial Relief Request for My Family – Help Needed for Food, Rent, and Bills

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am struggling to make ends meet as I have recently lost my job.  I am writing to you with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency to seek assistance for my family during this incredibly challenging time. I recently lost my job, leaving my family in a precarious financial situation. We are struggling to make ends meet and require immediate support for essential expenses such as food, rent, and bills. Losing my job was a devastating blow that has left us in a state of financial crisis. As the sole breadwinner of my family, I have always strived to provide a comfortable and stable life for my loved ones. However, circumstances beyond my control, including unforeseen company downsizing, have left me without a source of income. This sudden loss of employment has made it impossible for me to meet our basic needs. I am a dedicated parent with a strong commitment to providing a loving and nurturing environment for my two wonderful boys, who are aged 4 and 15. Our primary concern at the moment is putting food on the table. With limited savings and no incoming income, affording nutritious meals has become an arduous task. It pains me to see my family go through each day with anxiety about where our next meal will come from. Your assistance would provide an immense sense of relief. Additionally, the threat of eviction looms large as we struggle to cover our rent payments. Keeping a roof over our heads is of paramount importance, especially considering the well-being and stability of my family. Your financial support would go a long way in preventing homelessness and ensuring that my family has a safe and secure place to call home. I am reaching out to you with humility and a profound sense of gratitude for any help you can offer. Your support will not only help us meet our immediate needs but also provide us with the hope and motivation to overcome these challenging times. My rent payment is $1900 per month, electricity is $250-month, food $300 per month on the low side.

If you are able and willing to provide assistance, please contact me at greeneyez452@gmail.com. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a significant difference in our lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read my request. Your compassion and generosity can help my family. We are immensely grateful for your consideration and support during this trying period.

Urgently need help to save my marriage

Thank you for reading my post.

I am in a terrible situation right now but I am still going on as I am still thankful for what I have and what God has given me, my wonderful wife I love so much, and my 4 beautiful children.

I was a primary school teacher in Singapore who really has the passion to teach Math and Science. After many years having a stable job, I wanted to pursue a dream of helping needy children in third world countries by opening up community learning schools and help them with their education. However, I could never achieve anything near this as the cost of living in Singapore is extremely high. I can hardly save enough to start setting up this dream. It was going to be a dream only.

Then I decided to step out of my comfort zone and open up a tuition centre in Singapore for a start. This was to provide affordable tuition for students who cannot afford the high end tuition centres but need the help. This can also help generate the necessary income for my family and also to grow my savings to pursue my dream. I had to quit my stable job as a civil servant here as we cannot set up businesses if still employed under the government.

I was optimistic at first that I can sustain my current living expenses. Unfortunately, many of my students’ parents did not pay my cheap fees and I also did not ask for fees from some who I know cannot afford it at all. This took a toll my family expenses. I still had rent to pay for my tuition centre and my bills which I used to pay with my teacher salary then. I used up all my savings to pay my bills, and still have many outstanding ones.

I asked my self if it was really worth it quitting my job to pursue my dreams of helping others. If I had continued with my job, I will die without even helping anyone. I can only afford my monthly donations to various organisations when I knew I had more to offer.

Worst of all, my wife who initially supported my noble idea has turned her back on me. She says I sacrificed my family to pursue my dreams and now I’m in heavy debt. She is asking me to quit everything and go back to my teaching job, or she will leave me and take the children with her. She shames me every day for not being able to provide for the family anymore. I underwent depression for a while but had to stay strong for my children. I go home everyday with the fear that she will scold me and embarrass me but I know I have to bear with it to keep the family together. I understand her frustration but I don’t want my children to come from a broken home and will always be there for them.

I need help to settle the debt incurred from setting up the tuition centre, the start-up costs, renovation, tables and chairs, whiteboard, books, snacks for my tuition students and advanced rental and utilities which amounted to more than $100 000.

I hope there are some kind souls out there to help me with my debts, save my marriage and perhaps support my family and pursue my dream.

I truly am grateful to all who have read my post till the end, whether or not you can contribute. May God bless you always.

Help needed to pay for a healing program

I have a virus in my body called Epstein Barr Virus. This particular strain that I have gives you Mono. So just like Chicken Pox comes back later as Shingles the Mono strain attacks many parts of your body. It attacks your endocrine system which includes your thyroid, adrenals, pituitary & ovaries. Basically goes after everything that makes your body function properly. It has affected every part of my life. I have absolutely no energy at all. I drag myself wherever I need to go. If I walk the slightest distance I am completely winded. I have always been athletic & very active. This has completely turned my life upside down.  I don’t sleep well at all so when I get out of bed in the morning it takes me hours before I can function even a little bit. This has completely gotten in the way of me working. At least in regards to me going to a job because I would never be able to get myself there on time or not be in a zombie state the entire time. I found a great program that will help me get healed from this so I can function again & have my life back. I am starting a business from home so I don’t have to worry about getting fired but I still need to pay my rent & other bills but it would be nice to not have this virus causing me more problems. I need about $6000 for the program & another $3000 to cover rent & other bills. If anyone would be so kind to help me in any way you can send money to PayPal at tinacalcara@gmail.com

6000£

I am reaching out with a heavy heart, seeking support during a challenging time for my family and me.

I reside in England with my husband and three young children, aged 6, 6, and 4. Our lives took a drastic turn in January 2017 when my husband experienced a vitreous eye hemorrhage. Since then, he has been undergoing continuous treatment due to recurring vein issues in his eye, which has left his vision severely blurred. These health challenges have also taken a toll on his mental well-being, leading to anxiety and panic attacks, exacerbated by mounting debts.

In the midst of these difficulties, I have been caring for our children, making it difficult for me to work until recently. With my younger son now in full-time school, I’ve been actively searching for employment to alleviate our financial burdens. However, our current situation is dire, and we are barely managing our daily expenses with the assistance we receive from the council.

Our living conditions add to our struggles. We reside in a small one-bedroom flat, which is woefully inadequate for our growing family. My daughter is autistic and requires her own space, but we simply cannot afford a larger home. Despite being on a social housing waiting list for the past five years, we have yet to receive a suitable offer.

Adding to our heartache, my elder daughter from my previous marriage is living elsewhere due to our limited accommodations, and I deeply miss her presence in our home. The strain on our family’s mental health is becoming overwhelming.

Recently, I made a desperate attempt to improve our financial situation by taking on an online job. Regrettably, it turned out to be a scam, and I was deceived into taking loans from friends to meet the requirements of this fraudulent endeavor. I lost approximately £6000 in total, and I now find myself in significant debt. The individuals behind this scam are relentlessly demanding repayment, which I currently cannot afford. My bank account is already in the red by £600, and the situation is dire.

I am sharing this with you in the hope that you might consider extending your assistance to help me clear these debts. I have documented evidence of how I fell victim to this scam, and any support can provide would make an immense difference in our lives. My goal is to eventually provide a better environment for my autistic daughter, reunite our family, and lift the burden of debt that is currently crushing us.

I understand that times are tough for many people, but I genuinely appreciate consideration. Any help will be a lifeline for my family and me.

Thank you for reading my plea, and I look forward to hearing.

Money needed to help make vital repairs to equestrian yard

Hello, thank you for reading my post.

My name is Lucy and I recently purchased a 12 horse livery yard which has been a lifelong dream of mine every since I was a child and I fell in love with nature and animals at a very early age.

Over the last 7 years, I have created an ecommerce business from nothing and have brought up 3 children during this time but my dream has always been to work with animals and children.

The purchase of the livery yard completed in August 2023 and the stables are in a very bad way due to age and storm damage which occurred recently.

I don’t have the cash to improve the stables and I am in the process of setting up a forest school/day care for young children from 6 months – 4 years and money is tight.

The Stables are in a bad state after years of neglect and lack of money and they won’t last another winter.

For someone to help me improve these stables would mean the absolute world to me and my family and the horses that live there.

I would be so very grateful for any donations and thank you very much for taking the time to read my post.

Relief from the straitjacket of poverty

Hello, I am reaching out in hopes of loosening the grip poverty has on me and my family’s life. I am 38, recently married, around $45k in debt due to the pandemic and work issues the last few years. Our goal is to save to get out of debt and then eventually buy our home. Unfortunately, it has very much been 1 step forward 2 steps back.  I know that money is tight everywhere, and there are a lot of people who are worse off than I am, however I am hoping to use this help to eventually help others when I am able. Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider our situation.

Cancer Survivor Still tying to survive

Hello everyone!

I’m a cancer survivor, tennis pro, husband and father at the young age of 35. I’ve been in remission for about 3 years now and I’m beginning to get back to regular life. As precaution, I’m still getting MRI scans on a monthly basis and they can be quite expensive. I recently started a new job in  the same field as the one I lost but the transition has been quite hard on me. I do have a savings account but it’s nearly depleted due to recent events. My car was stolen so I used a lot of money for uber to get to and from work. Child care is pretty expensive so I’ve been maintaining that. I’ve had my car back for about 3 weeks and it’s back in the shop currently with transmission issues so I know that’s going to be an expensive feat. Also, still trying to maintain my scans for my cancer is very much a priority to keep up with. Even though I started my new job, lessons and income are very light. Things will get better as my business grows but things seem to be happening one after another. Any donation towards getting things handled would be very much appreciated! I’m a hard working man that has some unfortunate events happening all at one time. I just need a little help. A closed mouth never gets fed and I’m never too proud to ask for help.

Death of a father due to cancer, widow chased out of the family house, family in distress and financial struggles.

In 2013 my father Eng. Maccerlino may his soul rest in peace was first diagnosed with gastrointestinal tumor (GIST) a form of cancer that affects the intestines/stomach, we went to a number different public and private hospitals for treatment and ultimately the doctors recommended that the tumor be cut off  and tested for cancer they we were sent to a private hospital called Paragon hospital in Bugolobi Kampala  where this treatment and operation was done this was very costly but as a family we were ready to have this operation done.

From 2013 up to 2020 my father was in and out of hospital trying to manage the cancer however with all our efforts and the treatment he final passed on the 11th of August 2020 it was at 7:25pm at the Mulago cancer institute Kampala Uganda he was pronounced dead the cause of death was the GIST cancer and pneumonia and that was the beginning of all our family problems and financial crisis.

After his death we spent a lot of money clearing his hospital bill before the hospital could release his body to us, we further incurred more costs paying for funeral expenses during and after his burial after his passing we realized he had left unpaid bank loan of 200million Uganda shillings at Centenary bank Kampala we had to clear this bank loan with interest because he was above the insurable age.

Our stepbrother Nicholas also went ahead and put a Cavet in court to block our application to get letters of probate he is challenging our father’s Will because he wasn’t named as a heir in the said Will, and this infuriated him as the eldest son he believes that he is the only that deserves to inherit our fathers’ things. (This is an African mentality some people have) because of this he manipulated the Clan leaders to support him in his barbarism the case is currently at the high court which also requires a good amount of money to pay for the Servies of a good lawyer.

Our stepbrother immediately started to fight for the family property my father had 2 wives and had built a semi -detached house one side for my mother and her children the other side was for my stepmother and her children. Now  my step brother called Nichlous odgong decided to break the wall that was separating the 2 houses to make it one house so as to claim it as his own house , and threw out my old mother and her children out of the house in the process he destroyed our property and without mercy threw out our Funiture, tv and fridge and cooking things and our belonging claiming the house is his and he wants us out, my mother cried out heart to God and to her late husband in pain as our stepbrother Nicholus took pleasure in seeing her pain he laughed at us and took a video of my crying mother falling on the ground helplessly. (imagine this is our own stepbrother doing all this)

We reported the issue to the local police of the area who arrested him and was charged with 1. Malicious damage 2. Trespass 3. Melding with the Estate of the deceased.  but was released on bond after 2 days ,The police in Gulu asked him to stop what he was doing but he still refused, the government then took up the case with the DPP Office of the (director of public prosecutions) in Uganda the case has been going on well, however he went and bribed one of the officer InCharge of the case we were shocked to recently find out the case was closed for luck of evidence which reason is not valid enough because sufficient evidence on the file. we current need money to hire a lawyer for this case expedite this case privately.

This is the worse time of my life and my family especially my mother. we are hardworking people  i have 2 younger brothers and 3 sisters we current live in a small, rented house in Kanyanya Uganda,

Because of this we lost our business which we were doing in the capital of Kampala since our expenses was more than my income from the business  i couldn’t pay rent anymore, and ultimately i wasn’t able to rent the shop anymore so the business came to an end, i have currently decided to sell my products online and on social media flat forms which is not as effective as having a physical location, also as a family we have since adjusted our life style we eat one meal a day we struggle with paying for rent since we were thrown out of our fathers house.

I therefore kindly request for financial help of 150,000US dollars that will be able facilitate legal fees to settle this family dispute, cover housing rent  for atleast one year as we recover and also establish back our business so that we can get back to our feet and give my family a fresh start.

I therefore kindly request for financial help of 150,000US dollars that will be able facilitate legal fees to settle our family dispute, cover rent for at least one year as we recover and also establish back our business so that we can get back to our feet and give my family a fresh start.

Please Help a Single Mother with a Toddler Make October’s Rent

Hello everyone. First, I would like to say God Bless You to anyone reading this. I had no idea that there were people in this world who would help someone like me, out of the kindness of their heart. I have to say this is not an easy thing for me. I have never asked for help in this way. I have always just suffered in silence and tried to figure it out. I have been begging God for a miracle and today He led me here. I am so grateful for people like you. I have a 4 y/o and I have been struggling to provide for them since January of this year. I was laid off from a work-from-home/remote position during that time, and EVERYTHING has gone downhill since. Since I had a work-from-home/remote position, I did not have a car. Working from Home while caring for my kid was literally all I had time for, and Walmart would deliver my groceries. So a having a car was at the bottom of my list of things that I needed. When I was laid off in January, I was devastated because I had no idea what to do next. I filed for unemployment but was not granted it for almost a month. Meanwhile, all of my bills are starting to fall behind. Eventually, I started to receive unemployment benefits. Unfortunately, it was barely enough to cover my rent. So I had to pay what I could and make payment arrangements for the rest. Eventually, I lost the few credit cards I had, and I had to take out loans that I am now behind on because my unemployment ran out in July. My child does not have a second parent, only me. I sacrifice all that I can to make sure they are healthy and have a full belly. They have no idea that their mother is struggling to provide the bare necessities. Most nights I cry after my kid goes to sleep. I have to be strong them. But this is the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I have no family that I can rely on, and if I did they would not help me. I’m mentally and emotionally exhausted and the only thing keeping me together is knowing that I have to make a way for my child. I understand that there are tons of situations similar to mine, so I am beyond grateful that you are taking time out of your day to read my story. I just need assistance keeping my head above water. Whatever you decide to help me with will be greatly appreciated. I just literally don’t have any other recourse at this point. Feeding my child ramen or rice and gravy everyday is so disheartening. They need fruits and vegetables, and this is just stressing me out because I don’t even know how I’m going to pay my rent for October. I really need another work-from-home/remote job since I don’t have a car. I have no problem working. I just don’t have transportation and can’t begin to afford daycare. Any REAL leads on a job along with financial assistance would be greatly appreciated. I really need your help, please. Thank you for your time today. You are much appreciated and loved.

Praying for help paying bills due soon.

I’m hoping and praying for help to catch up on bills. I’m a 66 year old living on ssd. I live a quiet life and don’t buy unnecessary junk I don’t need. Haven’t had a shopping spree in years. Thats spending 100 dollars on clothes to me BTW.  I started getting behind on bills when my daughter who lives 6 hours from me lost her job In March. With 2 grandchildren of course I sent as much money to her as I could resulting in my financial condition now. Now that she’s back to work and the kids are safe and fed i need to concentrate on myself.. Specifically I could use 3000 dollars to catch up on everything to include mortgage, electric bill, internet bill, past due oil bill for 250, and a few misc things like An eye dr appt next week and car inspection. All of this is looming over me at the end of this month. Its hard keeping up these days and I don’t regret helping my daughter. If some kind soul clicks with my story my dream is to move to her state and spend my life with my grandkids. I can show bills if you would like to see proof of what I need. Thank you and Bless you.

Oil Furnace for my elderly parents

Hello, my name is Tim and my parents are almost 78 years old and are both Cancer survivors. My parents are on the low income side, they have just enough money to get by. My dad Trevor has always used a indoors wood furnace, but now he is too old to keep having to cut firewood and go downstairs to keep stocking the fire multiple times a day. My dad has had skin cancer, and recently was treated for bladder cancer. He was just diagnosed with lung problems from mold. My mom Pat has had a cancerous tumor in her neck, and rececntly just had one removed from her tonsils. I am a healthcare aide looking after elderly people at the hospital in long term care. I barely make enough to get by myself. I have 2 maxed out credit cards and recently took out a $30,000 loan to invest into crypto and unfortunatley it was a scam I lost it all to the scammers and I am stuck having to pay off the loan. Otherwise I would go take a loan out myself and buy it for it them.

It will cost my dad about $8500 ca to get a oil furnace and have it installed, if you can find it in your heart to help, you don’t know how much it would mean to me .

Empowering a Single Mother’s Journey: Building a Bright Future for My Children

Hi there! First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. i appreciate you showing up here.

My name is Mel. I am a diligent small business owner on a mission to create a better life for my two incredible boys as a single mother. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but I want you to know that every day, I put my heart and soul into my work to provide for my family. I live in gratitude, keeping my hopes high, my motivations strong, and my humility as my guiding light.

The Journey So Far: My life story is one of resilience and determination. While I grew up in a reasonably safe family, I faced the harsh reality of homelessness during high school. College was an unattainable dream as I needed to work from a young age to survive. At 21, I fell in love with a man who had dreams, but those dreams remained unfulfilled. Despite my loyalty and support, the relationship eventually became a danger to me and my children’s safety. With just $50 to my name, I made the courageous choice to leave and protect our lives.

The Battle for Our Future: Over the past two years, I’ve navigated the complexities of the family court system. This unfortunate exposure to an unfair system has made it incredibly challenging to grow my business successfully and secure financial stability for my boys and me.

A New Chapter: In 2023, after years of healing and self-improvement, I found myself in a new relationship that promised safety and stability for my family. However, circumstances took an unexpected turn, leaving me pregnant and heartbroken with no support from the father, who now resides in another state.

Turning Pain into Triumph: I am determined to transform this story into one of triumph. With self-awareness and street smarts, I am committed to overcoming our financial instabilities. As my business, a high-labor cleaning company, will require me to step away before and after the baby arrives, I’m seeking your support to provide peace of mind during this critical time.

Our Vision: I have ambitious goals to expand my business, including hiring a team, pursuing education courses, hosting workshops, and launching new products. My vision extends beyond my own success; I want to empower other single mothers by offering them opportunities to build their businesses through mine.

Supporting My Birth Plan: In addition to the financial challenges, I’m a natural, home birther. To ensure the safety and well-being of myself and my baby, I need to pay my midwives $1,000 by April. Furthermore, I aim to take March and April off from my physically demanding business. This time is crucial for me to go inward, focus on self-care, and prepare for the arrival of my newborn.

The Importance of Your Support: Your support will not only aid in the successful birth of my child but will also allow me to be fully present for my two boys as our family dynamics change greatly. It’s about creating a nurturing environment during the last month of pregnancy and the crucial fourth trimester for the well-being of all my children.

Closing Thoughts: Thank you for believing in me and supporting my growing family. Your generosity is cherished beyond words, and I look forward to the day when I can pay it forward to others in need.
