Please help me save my father’s life

Dear Kind Stranger,

My name is Charles, and I am writing to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. I came to the UK in 2022 as an immigrant, hoping to build a better future for myself and my family back home in Africa. But life here has been incredibly hard—I recently lost my job, and because of my visa restrictions, I’m struggling just to survive.

Now, I’ve received the most devastating news: my father, the man who sold his property to send me abroad for a chance at a better life, is critically ill. He needs an urgent kidney transplant, and as the eldest of three siblings, the responsibility to help falls on me. Back home in Africa, the cost of such a procedure is overwhelming, and without it, I could lose him forever.

It breaks me that after all he sacrificed for me, I can’t even afford to save his life. I feel helpless, but I’m begging—on my knees—for your kindness. Any amount you can give will bring him one step closer to the surgery he desperately needs.

Please, if you’ve ever been blessed with the love of a parent, imagine the pain of watching them suffer when you can’t help. My father gave me everything; now, I’m praying strangers like you will give him a chance to live.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, or donating. God bless you.

**With hope,**

Charles

Need inventory for business

Ever since a few years ago, i have been out of a job and in serious debt for various things, namely student loans and running from domestic abuse, but that’s neither here nor there. Nowadays, i’m in a very bad spot because AI has ruined both the ability for me to find a job in the tech industry and my way of getting money for art commissions. On top of this, with “DEI” being the new prefered slur of corporations, chances of getting a job are slim to none, so i probably have to start my own. i have a few people who would be interested in projects, but i don’t have the money to buy inventory. The commission rate will pay for itself (hopefully) but the initial startup is the first hurdle.

I am currently looking for a job, but once again, the HR teams use AI to sort through the resumes and AI is flooding job applications with hundreds of resumes within 10 minutes. If successful, i could start a jewelry business and hopefully not have to rely on the “goodwill” of people with no empathy.

Please Help Me Save Our Home – For My Grandchildren’s Sake

Hello,

My name is Dan, and I never thought I’d find myself here. After dedicating over 30 years of my life to my career and serving proudly as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, I was recently let go due to economic downsizing.

Since losing my job, I’ve been working 12-hour days trying to make ends meet, but I’ve fallen behind. My mortgage is now in default, and I’m facing the terrifying reality of foreclosure.

This house isn’t just mine—it’s my grandchildren’s safe haven. They live here with me and rely on this home for love, security, and stability. I’ve already sold off my collectibles and many personal items, trying to keep us afloat, but it’s just not enough.

I’m asking—begging—for help to raise $7,500 to stop the foreclosure and keep a roof over my grandchildren’s heads. Every dollar counts and brings us one step closer to staying together under one roof.

If you can help, please send donations via PayPal to:

https://www.paypal.me/helpifyoucanplease

Even a small amount makes a big difference. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, caring, and giving.

With gratitude,

Dan M.

Help PG&E Bill Clearance $1,196. Any amount helps

I’m deeply grateful for the chance to share, and I would sincerely appreciate any help. I lost my father in December 2023, and just three weeks ago, I lost my grandfather. It’s been a season of overwhelming grief and unexpected expenses. Things have piled up quickly, and I simply do not have the means to pay. I’m doing my best to stay strong, but financially, I’m in a really hard place right now. Please, if you’re able to help, may God bless you and repay you a thousandfold.

One of the most urgent parts of my debt is an electricity bill for $1,196, due on May 23. When I traveled home to Africa for three months, I mistakenly forgot to close my PG&E account. I was only supposed to owe $117.65. But while I was gone, the new tenants used the electricity under my account. They’ve since moved out, and I haven’t been able to reach them.

Now PG&E is holding me responsible for the full amount. It’s heartbreaking and stressful, especially knowing that if this goes to collections, it could damage my credit score—and I’m already just trying to stay afloat.

Teeth Making Me Sick

Dear Friends,

I have a huge problem that I need help with. My teeth are bad, or what is left of them. I never received any calcium until I was 8 years old. Was in foster homes after that. Because of this my teeth have been very weak all of my life. About a year ago they just started breaking off badly. I have been working and saving to get them fixed, but then Hurricane Helena hit and destroyed the home I was living in. Trying to repair it is taking all the money I have or can make. My teeth are now affecting me in hurtful way. My heart is being affected, my sinuses as well. I can not eat much at all and that is affecting my health in a huge way. I just please need help. I’ve never done anything like this before. I’ve always taken care of myself, but finally realized I need help. Any help that anyone can give would be truly appreciated and received with real blessings. I’m not sure how much longer I can go like this without it causing severe problems. Please, if you can help me get my quality of life back I would be forever thankful. I appreciate you reading this and giving me you’re time. Thank you for you’re help.

Night-Shift Worker Needs Two-Month Lifeline to Stay Current on 17 Accounts

Hello generous soul, I’m Jessica L., a 59-year-old night-shift worker in Pennsylvania and grandma to six whirlwind kids. Over the past two years I’ve invested over $16 K in e-commerce courses and tools so I can one day work from home and mentor at-risk teens.

Today my Experian snapshot shows $64,155 spread across 17 credit and loan accounts, with utilization at ≈ 65 % and a score of 613. Minimum payments now run about $1,250 a month. Missing even one would trigger late fees and crush my credit before the stores turn profitable.

I’m asking for $2,500—just two months of minimum payments. That 60-day bridge keeps every personal account current while I finish relaunching my Shopify store and publish my first e-book. Donors get redacted screenshots proving each payment, and once I’m profitable I’ll give 10 % forward to single-income families escaping debt traps.

Thank you for shining a little light on my path.

Help us get back home

We’re a hardworking family of four who took a leap of faith and moved across the country to try and build a better life. We worked tirelessly and saved thousands of dollars to make the move—hoping for safety, stability, and opportunity.

But everything fell apart when we arrived.

The house we had lined up was unlivable—filled with black mold and rodent droppings. We were forced into a hotel we couldn’t afford while we scrambled to find shelter. We finally moved into a small rental, but it’s far from ideal. We couldn’t even afford real beds—we’re still sleeping on air mattresses.

The job my wife was promised before we moved drastically underdelivered. Now she works overnight in healthcare and spends her days doing delivery orders—with little to no sleep. I work full-time during the day and care for our kids in the evening, trying to hold the household together and look for extra remote work after they go to bed.

Our kids barely see us together. And almost every day, they ask us: “When can we go home?”

We just had our first grandbaby born back home. We weren’t there. We missed it. And our hearts are breaking.

We are stuck in a place that’s not welcoming, drowning in debt, and exhausted in every way. We need help getting back to our home state—back to our family, our support system, and a place where we can start rebuilding.

If you’re able to donate or share our story, it would mean the world to us. Every dollar brings us one step closer to going home.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping however you can.  paypal.me/SShroyer87

In need of assistance paying bills and staying afloat.

I Never Thought I’d Be Here Asking for Help — But I Have Nowhere Else to Turn

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m reaching out because I’m facing a crisis I can’t get through alone. I need $2,000 to cover rent, utilities, and my car payment after losing my job without warning.

I’ve been on my own since I was 16 years old. Life hasn’t been easy, but I’ve always done what I had to do to survive and provide for myself and my three children. I’ve worked hard every step of the way and never asked for help unless I had absolutely no other choice. Unfortunately, right now is one of those times.

Until recently, I was working full-time and managing to stay on top of my bills. Then, without any notice, the company I worked for shut down. No warning, no severance—just a locked door and a final paycheck that barely covered immediate needs. I was left shocked, scared, and scrambling to find a way forward.

Since then, I’ve done everything I can think of. I’ve applied for every job I can find, signed up for unemployment, and reached out to local organizations for support. I’ve sold what I could, cut every non-essential expense, and tried to stretch every dollar. But despite all my efforts, I’ve reached the point where I can no longer make ends meet.

Right now, I’m behind on rent. My utility bills are adding up. And my car—the only way I can get to job interviews and take care of my kids—is close to being taken away. I’m not asking for extras. I’m simply trying to keep a roof over our heads, the lights and water on, and the vehicle that’s essential to rebuilding.

The $2,000 I’m asking for will go directly toward covering these urgent needs and helping me get back on track. I’m actively looking for work and determined to get back on my feet, not just for me—but for my children who depend on me.

If you’re able to help, even a small amount would mean everything right now. If you can’t donate, sharing this would still help more than you know.

Thank you for reading and thank you for caring. It took a lot for me to get the courage and strength up to make this post. I had to let my pride down.

My PayPal link is below. Thank you again.

Childcare assistant for my infant

As a single mother to a four-month-old baby boy, life has become a constant balancing act—physically, emotionally, and financially. I live in an expensive city where the cost of everything feels like it’s rising faster than I can keep up. Rent alone is already a huge burden, but when I looked into full-time childcare for my son, I was stunned to see that it costs nearly the same as renting an apartment. It feels like I’m being forced to pay double just to survive and keep my baby safe while I work.

I’m a teacher, and while I love what I do, the pay doesn’t reflect the demands of the job or the rising cost of living. Teaching is more than a full-time job—it’s a calling—but unfortunately, passion doesn’t pay the bills. Every month, I’m stretched to my financial limits. I live paycheck to paycheck now, and most of the small savings I had built up before my son was born have already gone toward childcare costs and basic living expenses. I never imagined how quickly it would all disappear.

There’s no one else I can lean on. I don’t have a partner or nearby family to help with babysitting or finances. Every doctor’s appointment, every sleepless night, every bottle, diaper, and meltdown—it’s all on me. And while I try to stay strong for my baby, there are days I feel like I’m barely holding it together. I go to work every morning after being up multiple times during the night, exhausted but determined, knowing that my son is depending on me for everything.

Childcare is not optional for me—it’s the only way I can keep working and providing for us. But the cost is draining. Every month, I’m forced to choose what bills can wait, what groceries I can cut back on, and how I can stretch every dollar just a little further. I worry constantly about what will happen if I can’t keep up. Will I have to move? Work more hours? But when would I see my baby? These are the impossible questions I face every day.

Despite everything, I’m doing my best. I show up to work. I take care of my son. I make sure he’s fed, loved, and safe. But this situation isn’t sustainable. Single mothers like me need support, and affordable childcare isn’t just a luxury—it’s a lifeline. Without it, we’re left struggling in silence, doing everything we can with almost nothing left to give.

Divorced Father Struggling to Stay Afloat I Never Thought I’d Be Here

Paypal.me/pineseboy
Hi,
and thank you for being here.

I never thought I’d find myself in this position — asking strangers for help on the internet. As a man and a father, I’ve always taken pride in being able to provide, to stand strong for my family, and to protect my child from hardship. But today, I’m at a breaking point, and I have no choice but to ask for help.

I’m currently going through a difficult divorce that has left me emotionally drained and financially overwhelmed. I am the sole caregiver for my young son, and every day has become a struggle just to keep the lights on, put food on the table, and cover the costs of basic living.

There’s a deep shame that comes with writing this — not because I think asking for help is wrong, but because I feel like I’ve failed my son in ways I never wanted to. But right now, pride can’t come before his needs. I have to put him first, even if it means humbling myself to ask for support.

I’m trying to catch up on bills, keep a roof over our heads, and manage urgent legal fees tied to custody. I’ve picked up every gig and job I can, applied for assistance, and stretched every dollar. But now I’m out of time — I have less than 4 days before I fall behind on critical payments and things start slipping through the cracks.

If you’re able to help in any way, your kindness will go directly toward:

  • Rent and utilities to keep our home running

  • Food and essentials for my child

  • Transportation and legal costs related to custody and court

  • Emergency needs just to make it through this month

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it’s for my son. Any help, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this message could help us reach someone who can.

Thank you for reading this. Thank you for your time, your heart, and your generosity.

With humility and hope,
Jim

Scammed and $40,000 in Debt

Just seven months ago I had a credit rating of 815 and paid all my bills at the end of the month and lived within my means. A friend came to me and asked for help with a cell phone bill and internet. It was my pleasure to assist. Within a few days she needed help with a water bill because it was shut off. She then came to me because she and her brother were going to be evicted in 3 days if I did not help her pay $4890. She shared with me that she would be coming into money, and that she would share with me the proceeds. The only caveat was this company required “fees” for the two cars in storage she was to receive, and they would be shipping it on a flatbed by UPS from Las Vegas. She was also supposed to pay all her taxes for the multimillion dollars she was to receive upfront. They would send her invoices for the payments she paid and for the payments I made. Mind you, all of these payments had to be made either by Zelle or MoneyPak. The invoices would gradually go down as she made the payments but there always seem to be problems with MoneyPak’s saying someone had used the cards before they received them. So, we lost those amounts to “scammers.” They were constantly promising they were going to be at her house as soon as all fees were paid and delivery would be done. There was also the statement they were raising money on her behalf by donors if she promised to double their payment after she was paid. Over the last seven months, I have paid many “fees” by getting cash advances on credit cards and buying MoneyPak cards and sending them to this company to the point that I have completely drained my savings and run up my credit cards and taken out loans in the amount of over $40,000. I would like to think I was a smart woman at the age of 57 (who is disabled) but I got caught up in the promise of a payday that I know now is never going to come. I became involved in this fraudulent activity. I am ashamed and now destitute and am now coming to you to ask for your help. I am terribly ashamed, and I do not know what else to do but beg. My credit score currently is 470. I am an ordained minister and wanted to help people but now I am truly destitute. Whatever you can do to help would be appreciated.

Please Help

I’m a mom of three children, and I recently lost my job because I couldn’t afford daycare. Without reliable childcare, I had no choice but to miss work, and eventually, I was let go. Things quickly spiraled from there. I fell behind on bills and tried to stay afloat by using my bank account’s overdraft and my credit cards just to cover basic needs like rent, food, and diapers. My account became overdrawn by $4,000, and my credit card reached its $13,000 limit. The bank eventually closed my account due to repeated overdrafts, and now I’m left with over $17,000 in debt.

I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet for my kids. I’ve been looking for remote work opportunities so I can stay home with them and avoid expensive childcare costs. I’ve also reached out to local organizations and credit counselors for help negotiating with creditors and figuring out a plan. But right now, the stress and pressure feel overwhelming. I’m not looking for a handout—I’m just hoping for a hand up. Any support, advice, or resources that can help me stabilize and rebuild would mean the world to me and my family.

Need dentures, but first the extractions….

Hello, my name is Brandi. I’m a 53 year old housekeeper.  I’m single. My kids are grown and have moved away. I work 7 days a week most every week. It’s not easy work, but I am happy to help people. It’s very difficult to make ends meet with just one income these days. Especially as an older woman. I don’t go out. I take my lunch to work. I have not had a vacation in 25 years. My car is old, but paid for. After I pay the rent and utilities, I barely have enough money to buy a little food and put gas in the car. I don’t have savings currently because I had to spend it all on car repairs.  Emergencies are not something I am prepared for. So, when I had a loose tooth, then another, I couldn’t afford to go to the dentist.  Eventually I developed an abcess. I have had gum disease for most of my adult life. I went to the dentist and was advised that I should get my teeth pulled. I scoffed at this and didn’t return.  It took a year for me to get the bill paid.  They gave me an estimate of  $25,000 just for the top plate ! It was then that I  began to research options. Over time I’ve lost 6 more teeth. I get abcesses all the time. My heart Dr informed me that having these dental issues is extremely dangerous to leave untreated. He  explained the coalition between heart health and dental health. I had no idea! Heart disease runs in my family.  I don’t need any extra factors against me. I really need to take care of my dental health, so I cam lessen my risk of heart attack. Not only that , but I would like to be able to eat healthy foods again. I can barely chew anything now. My gums get inflamed ,and then it’s impossible to eat. Then there is my self confidence. It’s disappeared. I no longer smile like I always have. My joking demeanor has changed.  I often feel self conscious meeting people or talking to anyone new. It has significantly affected my life in a negative way. I’m a happy person who loves to smile and make people laugh. Well, I used to be anyway. I have tried and succeeded in saving up money to put towards all the extractions more than once. That’s about the time that the car breaks down or I have to pay my taxes.  It’s difficult to save when you make very little anyway. I am grateful for what I have. I don’t know anything other than struggling.  Its always been that way.  I keep my head up.  I work hard. I say my prayers. I help people any way I can often. I do not ask people to help me. I do not expect that anyone I know would be able to So when I heard of this site, & that it was for people like me, I had a little happiness and hope . It made me smile again. If there are people with the financial means to change other less fortunate peoples lives through donation to their cause that are also willing to do this- that’s awesome! That’s refreshing! That could help bring a lot of people out of misery and sadness. For me it would be a dream come true and  weight off my heart. I can’t think of a better way to spend my time than asking humbly for assistance.  Crying and staying down won’t do much to better my situation.  I would likebto he proactive in finding ways that I can get what I need. Hence my letter and my request tonight. I thank you for considering my case. God bless!
