Trying really hard not to give up

Hello, I am a 53 yr old woman, my entire adult life has been a constant struggle.  I survived an abusive first husband, a drunk for a second husband, while raising my 4 kids. After my kids grew up and moved out to start there own lives, I got mixed up with the wrong people and I ended up homeless for 7 yrs.  In 2020 someone gave me a chance to move out of the state of California and start a new life in Oregon.  When I moved to Oregon I promised myself I would never let myself end up back on the streets.  Up until about a year and half ago it was easy to keep that promise.  It started out when I was working for a hotel as a front desk receptionist. I absolutely loved that job. Two months in I was fired and was told that is was an over staffing issue. I cried for a week. Then 2 weeks later, my truck broke down.  I couldnt afford to fix it so I had to sell it.  It took me 9 months to find another job. I was depressed, I love working it makes me feel like Im worth something. I finally found a job that i enjoyed and 2 weeks into that job i fell in my bedroom and shattered my ankle. I had to have surgery and was layed up for a couple months.  Thankfully my boss held my job for me to return to when i was cleared by the doctor.  I was working 40 plus hours a week which was great.  I was able to get my own place and another vehicle.  Well a month after i got my new place, my hours were cut down to 20 a week. So i lost my place to live and was living out of my car. Then business got really slow and i was laid off.  So once again i am homeless without a job. I have sent my resume to businesses all over the state of Oregon. I got enrolled in online college thru grand canyon university. I decided to get my Bachelors in Hospitality and Tourism Management.  Then i find out that my financial aid wasnt approved because they say i was enrolled in 2007. Well I was not. I have been trying to get a hold of the education people but cant a a phone call back.  I had received emails from some hotels wanting to interview me in a town 3 hours away from where I am currently located. I was planning on going this week to where my interviews were. Last week the transmission in my car decided to start leaking really bad. So now I am without a vehicle again.

I have been working really hard to make my life better.  Every time there is a glimpse of hope that things might start going in my favor, a big black cloud stomps it out. I feel like my life is cursed and Im trying really hard not to give up.

I know I can find a reliable gas efficient car for under $3000. I’ve got $500 saved. I still have my car insurance so that wont be a problem.  It shouldn’t cost much to register in my name. I have been depressed because I am not working and I cant get to the interviews that are scheduled.

If anyone is willing to help me out, it would help change life. I really want to get back on my feet and this will help.

I have cash app $lindaberry1973

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.

God Bless

Nana Needing Some Help

Hello,

I am not one to ask for help like this, but things have become bad enough that it’s necessary.
I was a nurse, worked through Covid, raised my 4 children, plus 2 more.  I am unable to work any longer due to rotolevoscoliosis (bent and twisted spine), Median Arcuate Ligament syndrome, Fibromuscular Dysplasia (both latter put me at risk of aneurysm).  Also I’ve been losing my hearing since I was a teen.  Now that I can’t work, I can’t afford the good aides any longer.  I have CPTSD from abusive relationships and emotionally abusive father.
My eldest son completed suicide in April of 2019.  I was able to keep working and after two years I crashed.  It took me until August 2025 to get my disability.  I had to sell things to keep going and have been staying with friends.
I bought a house at 28, after having been widowed at 23 with two children.  I later married a psychologically and emotionally abusive man.  He basically forced me into selling my house, after I signed him onto the mortgage.  It would have been paid off 4 years ago and I would still have my classic car as well.  He took everything in the divorce and I let him so I could protect our daughter.
I am in need of a vehicle and a place to stay (preferably my own place, but I will be grateful even for something temporary).  I don’t care if it is a cabin in the woods, a motorhome, or an apartment in the ghetto, I would fix it up and make it beautiful.  I believe in taking care of things as if they belonged to someone else.  I was always taught that.
I really need to concentrate on my health and getting better, as well as my grandchildren.  I want to enjoy them, not have to miss them growing.
I was also going to leave my home to my children when I die.  I would have had like $350,000 in equity right now.
That is basically my story.  I would much rather go back to nursing, I am not the type to sit around.  But my body won’t let me at this point.  I may have back surgery later this year, I do not have a place to go back to after surgery.
Please consider helping me get a second chance in my elder years.  Thank you for reading.

Utilities and bills

I am looking for help with my utilities and bills. I live with my two sons and three

grandchildren. At first everything seemed fine and then things changed. My one

son lost his job due to a fire where he worked and then on top of that found out he

is having mild strokes. My second son lost his job due to his boss retiring and

closing his business. He gets seizures. They are both looking for employment but

so far no luck. The only income right now is my social security. Because that’s the

only income everything is behind. If I don’t get help soon the utilities will get shut off

and bills further behind. u can only ask your family for so much seeing they don’t have much

Just like enough to get back on track. Any help would be appreciated.

Reset / Mom in Hospice

I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but life has a way of humbling all of us at some point.

Earlier this year, I made the decision to move across the country to live with my mom, who is currently in hospice care. It was not a financial decision, it was a family decision. Being here with her during this time is something I will never regret. However, the move came with unexpected financial weight that has been incredibly difficult to carry.

I am currently facing about $15,000 in urgent expenses, primarily an enormous electric bill, a heating bill, and the cost of retrieving and paying for my car that had to be left in another state during the transition. On top of that, I am still paying rent and trying to manage everyday expenses while rebuilding in a new place.

For context, I am an educated professional artist who works in commercial production. I storyboard, design, and create visual work that requires long hours, focus, and constant hustle. I work extremely hard. But freelance creative work can be inconsistent, and no matter how much effort I put in, it has felt like I am always just barely keeping up rather than truly getting ahead.

What I am asking for is not a handout for comfort, it is a reset.

If I could eliminate these major outstanding bills, I would finally be able to breathe. I could stop living in constant financial triage mode and instead focus fully on building something sustainable and long-term. I have been developing a YouTube animation series- a satirical, original project that I truly believe has real potential. I know with focused time and mental clarity, I can turn it into a revenue-generating platform. But right now, the stress of these looming debts makes it nearly impossible to give it the attention it deserves.

Carrying this financial weight while caring for my mother has been overwhelming. I am doing everything I can, and I am not giving up. I simply need help to get over this immediate wall so I can move forward with stability and purpose.

If you are able to contribute in any way, whether large or small, it would mean more than I can express. Even sharing this request would help tremendously.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering helping me turn this incredibly heavy moment into a fresh start.

Essential Household Needs

I am writing to respectfully request assistance as I transition into my new home. Over the past 10 months, I have been working hard to build a stable residence for myself. However, due to significant construction delays and unforeseen cost increases, my savings have been completely exhausted by the building process.

I have successfully completed the structure, but I currently lack the funds to furnish it with the basic essentials required for a healthy and functional living environment. Specifically, I am seeking support to acquire:

• A cooking stove (for meal preparation)

• A refrigerator (for food preservation)

• A mattress (for basic sleeping needs)

I am eager to move in and begin this new chapter, but these missing items are currently a barrier to my health and safety.

I don’t asking much. Maybe few hundred for me to buy second hand items it will be helpful.

If you could help me obtain these essentials, I would be incredibly grateful.

Below i attached my PayPal.me link.

Thank you

Railroaded

I have always been a good person with good intentions. Of course I’m an imperfect human that makes mistakes. 18 yrs ago I was arrested for possesing something that I never possessed. I was railroaded by the justice system even though I was victorious in court against them several times. It’s only legal to try someone once however they abused their power to try me again every time I won. Shortly after my arrest I was hit by an unmarked police vehicle that ran a red light without sirens or lights active which resulted in me being paralyzed and unable to work a normal 9-5. I fought for ssd for16 yrs. After all their doctors, experts, and a judge approved me, powers were abused to prevent me from getting approved which is bazaar. I also sued the justice system and won however I beleive my attorney works for them and won’t release the funds that I won. There are several other details I’d like to provide to clarify, however not enough space. I’m being railroaded by all legal funding due to me to recover from these incidents have been blocked for over a decade causing several other problems. The biggest me being homeless vehicleless and in an unhealthy environment. I am asking for enough funding to get a used motorhome and a business wardrobe so I can do the best I can and soon be in a position where I can help others. I have studied the whole time That I’ve been oppressed and I’m sure if I achieve this I will be able to thrive and pay it foward to others shortly thereafter. I’m willing to provide details at length however this is the shortest that I can explain. My cashapp is $EVsmith90

I’m sorry, I just need help.

I am doing the very best I can. I have held down a reliable job, still have it, and have been trying to get a promotion. I’m trying to learn as much as I can and grow, but I need help.

I have debt and bills that are simply too much for me to deal with. Rent, regular bills like insurance, debt, groceries and tax debt have weighed me down a lot and even though I do work, I just can’t make another job work. I pull overtime and have been for a while, but it just isn’t enough. Even with a company helping out with debt relief, I’m still struggling.

About $1,500 goes out of each check for rent, bills, and debt.

I am trying my best and have been budgeting, but I just really need help. I just can’t seem to make it work. I’ve got almost nothing after each check and every time I’ve tried to save, something comes up and it’s immediately gone.

I’ve tried money making apps, most require some sort of purchase. I can’t afford that either.

I know I need service on my car, breaks are going out. There’s rust deteriorating my car, and I just can’t find a way to make things work.

If you can help, I’d greatly appreciate it.

My cash app is $TheOldUsername.

Really Struggling after being scammed

Hi, I am from Ireland and I need help big time.

My sister got sick in 2023 and was in hospital for 6 months. I took out €25,000 loan to pay for all her expenses and living expenses as I had to be with her 24/7 so I left my job. Thankfully she is ok again but we can’t go on like this.

i have been struggling since and now last week I’ve been scammed out of all my money with still over €20,000 to pay back. I was so desperate that I was tricked into a scam saying I could make money and now I have nothing.
I am really really struggling right now mentally as the only reason I’m still here is for my sister.

i beg anyone that can, would you please please consider helping me so i can get through this dark time.

Request for Assistance Due to Medical and Financial Hardship

I am reaching out for help during an unexpected and deeply difficult period for my family. Until recently, I was the primary income earner in our household, working full-time as a registered nurse. Due to circumstances outside my control, I was forced to resign from my position with no notice. This sudden loss of income and health insurance has created an immediate financial and medical crisis for my family.

At the time of my resignation, my husband’s small business was still in its early stages and not yet producing steady income. As a result, the loss of my job meant the loss of our main source of financial stability. In addition to losing my paycheck, we also lost employer-sponsored health insurance, accrued sick leave, and essential benefits that my family relied on.

I have been actively applying for work and have finally secured a new position, but it pays significantly less than my previous role and does not immediately replace the benefits we lost. During the months of unemployment, I applied to dozens of jobs each week, depleted our savings, and relied on food pantries to make sure my children had enough to eat while we tried to stay afloat.

The loss of health insurance has been one of the most devastating consequences. I have been unable to afford ongoing psychological support related to the stress of this situation. I have also struggled to pay for my prescribed migraine medication and have relied on discount programs like GoodRx just to continue necessary treatments. Medical bills have continued to accumulate, and managing them without insurance has been overwhelming.

Both of my children receive therapy services related to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). My daughter has continued with her scheduled therapy sessions, which could not be canceled mid-cycle, resulting in significant out-of-pocket costs despite our loss of coverage. Even more concerning, my son has not been able to get on a therapy block waitlist at all because we currently lack health insurance. This delay means he is missing early intervention opportunities that are important for his development, and as a parent, that is incredibly difficult to face.

I am not asking for luxury or comfort — only for help getting through this gap while I work to rebuild stability for my family. Any support received will go directly toward medical bills, prescriptions, therapy expenses, food, and basic living costs while we recover from this sudden hardship. Even a small contribution or sharing this request can make a meaningful difference for us.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your kindness and generosity offer hope during a time when everything has felt uncertain, and I am deeply grateful for any help you are able to provide.

I am also disabled. I suffer with a number of health issues.  My husband was the sole provider,  Since he has been gone life has been very HARD. My son and I became homeless and lived in an associates storage area in their basement. They constantly tried to put me out when I wouldn’t give my government benefits.  As I was trying to locate a place for my son and I the lady put us out and threw all of my son and I things out in the street.  I was able to fins a little room for my son and I. We don’t have long to be here I just need some assistance trying to get my life on track after my son and I going through such aa tragic event. I want to secure somewhere to whereas my son and I don’t have to worry about where we are going to lay our heads but focus on working through the event. It’s one thing to lose someone to cardiac arrest but its another when its happening in your arms and you are looking directly into their eyes while they are gasping for air.  Ant kind of assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Raising Children Urgent Help Needed

Hi my name is Paulo, I have never done this before but here I am reaching out with a very heavy heart deep and humility to ask for your help for my children. I am a father of 2 boys and despite of having 2 jobs, I am struggling to  provide for their most basic needs ie. food, rent, school fees, medical maintenance, etc. As a parent, it is incredibly painful to face the truth that love is not enough and I need a little help financially to support my children to ensure they cared for, safe and be able to provide and get through this hardship.

This all started after marriage brooked up. No vices or bad habits I just focus on raising my boys. After almost 4 year with this situation, my credit card has been maxed out and barely managing to pay the interest, my paycheck is not enough to get by after paying rent and utilities, I am $3,000 behind on their school fees. I applied multiple times applying for payday loan but have been declined.

I am urgent trying to raise fund to cover the essential needs as mentioned  above (food, rent, school fees, medicine), any amount you can spare no matter how small it is would make a big difference in their life and my included.

Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for reading this far and for any kindness you can offer. Your support will never be forgotten.

Please see below link for any donation

Helping My Family Stay Housed During a Difficult Season

Thank you for taking a moment to read this.
I’m a parent doing everything I can to keep life stable for my family—especially for my son, who has special needs and depends on routine and consistency to feel safe. We are now facing eviction, utility shutoffs, and food insecurity after I unexpectedly lost my job and exhausted every resource trying to stay afloat.
I never imagined being in this position. For months, I used my savings, maxed out my credit card, and stretched every dollar while searching for work. Despite my best efforts, we’ve reached a point where I can’t keep up with the basics on my own.
I’m hoping to raise $6,000 USD to stabilize our situation and prevent things from getting worse. These funds would go directly toward:
• Overdue rent to stop eviction
• Restoring essential utilities
• Groceries and basic necessities
• Catching up on critical bills
• Reducing part of the credit card balance used for survival expenses
This support isn’t about long‑term dependence. It’s about creating enough breathing room for me to secure income, rebuild stability, and keep a consistent home environment for my son—something that is especially important for his emotional and developmental well‑being.
Asking for help is incredibly hard, but I’m doing it because my child’s safety comes first. If you’re able to give, share, or even send a kind message, it truly means more than I can express.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for caring.

Help me reunite with my kids and stay employed

Hi, my name is Richard. Asking for help like this is not easy for me, but I’m at a point where I need to be honest about where I’m at.

I’m working full-time and doing everything I can to rebuild my life, but right now I don’t have a reliable vehicle. Not having a car affects every part of my life — getting to work, staying stable, and most importantly, being there for my kids.

I want nothing more than to be a present, dependable father. A car isn’t just transportation for me — it’s the difference between struggling day to day and having a real chance to move forward and show up for my children the way they deserve.

I’m saving every week and taking responsibility for my situation, but rebuilding takes time. I’m asking for help to put toward a dependable used car so I can stay employed, regain independence, and continue building a better future for my family.

Any support — even a share or a kind word — truly means more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any kindness you’re able to offer.
