Hello Community,
My name is Suzette, and I am reaching out with humility and hope during a very difficult time for my family. I am a single mother doing my best to provide stability and care for my two children. Unfortunately, I recently faced a situation that forces me to make an incredibly difficult decision that has now placed us in financial hardship.
I was commuting approximately three hours away for work each day. Because of this long commute, I was unable to pick up my daughter from school in time. I was informed that continued late pickups could result in reports being made to Child Protective Services. As a mother, protecting my children and ensuring their safety and well-being always comes first. With no local support system to help me pick her up, I made the painful decision to walk away from my job so I could be present for my children.
My son, who is 17 years old, has a different school schedule and was not able to assist with picking up his sister. Additionally, I do not have close friends or family nearby who can help. Most of my family lives in another state, leaving me to navigate this situation on my own.
Since leaving my job, I have been struggling to keep up with essential responsibilities such as my mortgage, electricity, water utilities, and my car payment. I am currently three months behind on my mortgage, and I am working hard to prevent my children and I from losing our home.
On top of these financial challenges, my son is preparing to graduate from high school, a milestone that I am incredibly proud of. Unfortunately, I have not been able to pay for important graduation expenses such as his cap and gown, invitations, and graduation photos. As a mother, it breaks my heart that I may not be able to give him the celebration he deserves after all his hard work.
I am actively searching for employment that allows me to balance work while being present for my children. I am confident that I will secure a new position soon, but right now I need temporary support to stabilize our situation.
I am seeking $25,000 in donations to help cover essential living expenses and stabilize my family for approximately three months while I secure new employment. This support would help us stay in our home, keep our utilities on, and allow my son to complete his graduation without additional stress.
Any amount, big or small, will make a meaningful difference for my family during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would also mean so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you are able to provide. Your kindness and generosity will help my children and me get through this challenging period and move forward toward stability again.
