Stranded in Madrid at 57 – Help a Dutch Entrepreneur Survive a Sudden Crisis

Hello, kind and generous souls,

My name is Alois, a 57-year-old Dutchman from Amsterdam, and I’m reaching out with a plea born of desperation and hope. For nearly two decades, from 1995 to 2013, I ran a successful hospitality business in Amsterdam – a service that brought ease and trust to visitors, a life I built with my own hands. Chasing a new chapter, I moved to Madrid, Spain, drawn by its vibrancy. I landed a job as a game presenter for a lesser-known company, giving it my all for almost a year – never late, always there. Then, out of nowhere, on the last day of a short break I’d earned, a single email ended it all. “Contract terminated,” it said – no warning, no reason. I didn’t see it coming, and now I’m stranded far from home, literally out of money.

Before this hit, I’d registered a company here – a bold reimagining of my Amsterdam success. It’s a hospitality venture, a proven idea that could bring convenience and class to Madrid’s hotels, honed over years of hard work. I’m not ready to spill every detail, but it’s a dream I can’t let die. Losing my job wiped out my savings, and with the month nearly over, I’m scrambling. I still have a place to stay – for now – but rent’s due soon, and my pockets are empty. No cash for food, no buffer, just a ticking clock and a future slipping away.

I need $2,500 to survive the next two months – enough to pay rent, eat, and keep going while I hunt for a job. This isn’t charity; it’s a lifeline to launch my business and stand tall again. I’ve done it before, and with your help – $5, $10, anything – I can do it here. At 57, I’m battered but not broken, and I believe in the kindness of strangers to pull me through.

Thank you for listening. I’m a Dutchman blindsided in Spain, fighting to hold on. If you help me now, I’ll give back when I rise. Please donate via my PayPal.me link below.

With all my gratitude,
Alois

Save. 111 Hair Salon

Greetings,
I’m writing to you today not just as a business owner, but as someone who has dedicated their life to making our community a better place through 111 Hair Salon. For years, we’ve been more than just a salon – we’ve been a beacon of hope and dignity for countless individuals in the community.

regaining their confidence before job interviews, students lighting up during our back-to-school events, and seniors finding joy in our care despite limited fixed incomes. Through our partnership with grassroots organizations, we’ve helped prepare numerous individuals for job interviews, giving them the confidence to change their lives.
The impact of your generosity would extend far beyond financial statements. It would help us:
● Continue providing dignity and hope to women in local shelters

Your Support Means Everything During Tough Times

Hello, my name is Ryan Middleton, and I am reaching out to ask for support during a difficult chapter in my life. I recently lost my job because my car broke down and had to be sold as junk. The vehicle was my lifeline—it helped me commute 80 miles a day to and from work. It was a trusty Chevrolet Trailblazer that carried me 2,200 miles from Nevada to Texas while pulling a 14-foot trailer. Losing it has deeply affected my ability to stay employed.

I moved to Texas to care for my sister, accompanying her to her appointments and helping with errands. After her passing, I continued to provide the same care and support to my girlfriend. Helping others has always been central to my life, but now I find myself struggling without a job or reliable transportation.

Currently, I am surviving on my Social Security income, which covers most of my rent, and some cash from my last paycheck and a couple of yard sales. While I am actively seeking employment, the small town I live in has limited opportunities, and my age makes the search even more challenging. I am also exploring options to work online, but getting started requires upfront resources.

I am not someone who likes to ask for help, as I would much rather work for my money. However, I am in a financial pinch and humbly ask for your assistance to get through this tough period. I am seeking $2,000 to cover essential expenses, including rent ($850), electricity ($161), water and utilities ($110), cell phone service ($90), and internet ($85). Additionally, I need approximately $200 to establish my online business, which I hope will provide me with a sustainable income.

Your support would mean the world to me. Every dollar will be used wisely to cover my expenses and help me regain financial independence. I am happy to provide an accounting of how the funds are spent and am open to working out a repayment plan when I am back on my feet.

Thank you for considering my story. Any contribution or advice you can provide would be deeply appreciated.

Requesting business fund needed

am an architect, I am doing small house construction projects. I have planned to build 2 small houses for those who are homeless and do not have money to build a house. I have decided to do the construction for them free of charge. I have also planned to donate money for their children’s education. But I do not have enough money to do this at this time, so I hope for your help.

My goal is to choose 2 such poor families every year and help them and make the future of their children better. I also believe that through such projects, poverty can be eradicated, the living conditions of people can be improved, and the level of education can be improved.

I hope that people who care about the poor, who can understand their difficulties, and who have a good heart will help me make these projects successful. Thank you.

Resilience and Hope

Dear Reader,

My name is Mara, and I want to share my story with you—not as a tale of suffering, but as a testament to resilience, hope, and the unbreakable will to build a life worth living.

At the age of 13, I was forced to leave my home. My father, an abusive man, could not tolerate my defiance as I stood up to protect my mother from his violence. That night, I became homeless, stripped of my childhood and the safety that every child deserves. I had nowhere to go, no guiding hand to hold, but I carried within me a strength I did not yet understand.

At 15, I married, seeking stability in a world that had given me none. I became a mother to three beautiful children, pouring all my love into them, hoping to give them the warmth and protection I had been denied. But life, once again, was cruel. My own sister betrayed me—she formed a relationship with my husband and took my children from me. The pain was unbearable, a wound that never fully healed. I was left alone, stripped of my role as a mother, while they refused to let me see my own children.

In the depths of my despair, I made a choice. I would not be defeated. I would fight to rebuild my life, to earn back what was stolen from me. I threw myself into my studies, working tirelessly to educate myself, to gain the financial means to reclaim my children and my dignity. The road was harsh. I juggled jobs and university, often exhausted, sometimes on the verge of breaking, but I kept going.

After years of struggle, I finally managed to buy a modest home. It was nothing luxurious, but it was mine. A place where no one could take away my peace. It was the first real victory in my long battle. But happiness was short-lived. My mother, the woman I had fought for and defended as a child, passed away from a stroke at just 59 years old. The grief was suffocating. Depression and anxiety took hold of me, and for a while, I felt like I was drowning.

It was the kindness of my college friends that kept me going. They reminded me of my dreams, of my strength. Slowly, I picked myself up and continued. Years have passed since then, and though I have come far, my journey is not yet complete.

At 57, I am still fighting. I am still paying off the home that was supposed to be my sanctuary. But more than anything, I am chasing a dream—a dream of independence, of passion, of creating something with my own hands. I want to start a small cake business, a humble endeavor that would not only bring me joy but allow me to finally breathe, to finally live on my own terms.

Baking has always been my comfort, a way to pour love into something tangible. But I lack the means to turn this passion into a livelihood. Every extra penny goes toward my house payments, keeping me in an endless cycle of financial strain.

I am not asking for charity. I am asking for a chance. A chance to break free from the chains of my past, to finally stand tall, independent and fulfilled. Any support, any kindness extended my way, will not be wasted. It will be the foundation upon which I build my future.

Life has tried to break me many times, but I am still here. I am still fighting. And I believe, with all my heart, that better days are ahead.

Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for seeing me.
My PayPal is marabastos700@gmail.com

With hope,
Mara

Funding Request: $15,000 AUD to Expand My Business and Support Women on Their Fertility Journey

My name is Belle and I am reaching out with deep vulnerability and unwavering determination. I have dedicated my life to helping women struggling with fertility, before I could guide others on this path, I walked one of the hardest journeys myself.

It took me eight long years to conceive my son. When he finally arrived, my body endured unimaginable trauma—I suffered a stroke during labor that left me temporarily blind. For four months, I lived in darkness, unable to care for my newborn. My mother moved in to support me, and just as I began to regain my sight, our world was turned upside down again—she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Western medicine told us there was no hope, but I refused to accept that answer. I sold everything I owned and, with sheer determination, raised $180,000 to take my mother to Mexico for alternative treatment. I pulled off what everyone said was impossible—I got my unvaccinated family out of Australia during the harshest border lockdown in history, transiting through the U.S. when everyone told me it couldn’t be done.

But despite my greatest efforts, my mother passed away in Mexico. Her death was only the beginning of another battle—I was trapped overseas with my two-year-old son, unable to return home because of Australia’s draconian border closures. When I finally made it back, I was thrust into yet another fight—finding support for my son.

My sons needs are complex. He has Autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and ADHD. He has been expelled from every daycare, early intervention program, and educational setting he has attended. My husband and I are in a state of severe burnout, with no informal support and very limited formal support. Every moment of our lives is dedicated to keeping my son safe and advocating for his needs.

Despite these challenges, I have built a business supporting other women on their fertility journey. I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, to be told that something you want so deeply is impossible. And I also know that it’s not impossible. My work is about helping women step into their own power, reconnect with their bodies, and trust in their ability to conceive.

Now, I am asking for someone to take a chance on me.

I am seeking $15,000 AUD in funding to expand my business, allowing me to reach more women who need this support. These funds will enable me to participate in a business growth program, scale my offerings, and create resources that will empower even more women on their path to motherhood. This is not just about financial relief—it’s about impact. It’s about turning my pain into purpose and making sure no woman has to feel alone in her fertility journey.

If you believe in resilience, in the power of the human spirit, and in the right of every woman to become a mother despite the odds, I ask you to stand with me.

Your support will not only change my life but will ripple out to the hundreds—if not thousands—of women I will continue to serve.

To contribute, please send donations to my PayPal link: paypal.me/theechochamber

From the depths of my heart, thank you for believing in me.

With love and gratitude,

Belle

Lapidary Business Start Up

Hello, my name is Drew! My entire life, as far back as I can remember I have been drawn with rocks and stones. If I had to guess a number, I would say that I have packed home at least 3000 or more geodes, nodules and other interesting specimen. I would LOVE to be able to actually make money working with stone. It would be a dream come true to me. But lapidary equipment is unimaginably expensive. A good cabbing machine to shape and polish pendants Cost anywhere from $800(junk) to 2500 brand new. Then the grinding pads are around $150 each, needing at least 8 of them. A circular type saw that I need due to the sheer size of some of my stones ranges from $5000 to $14000.  then you have The wet style ban saws and the wet grinders and vibratory tables, Gem faceting machines. There is so much overhead that comes with it I fear I will never see my dream to fruition. I have never asked anyone for help. I am typically the one helping others but im I feel like this may be the only way I can reach my goals of owning some of this equipment. I appreciate you for taking the time to read my post, and thank you even more for any kind on contributions that are made. I will be forever grateful down to a dollar. If you would like to help me reach my dreams and achieve me goals, Feel free to cash app me. My tag is $drewster369. Again, thank you 🙏 for your generosity!

Request for Financial Support to Revive ELOHIM COSMETICS and Continue Supporting Orphanages

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Oubaye, founder of ELOHIM COSMETICS in TOGO, a company specializing in the treatment of skin diseases and external hemorrhoids through natural antibiotic soaps made from raw shea butter, tamarind, palm kernel oil, neem oil, and dried moringa leaf powder. These products, derived from traditional and natural expertise, have improved the quality of life for many people while supporting social causes.

Unfortunately, in October 2023, a car accident turned my life and my business upside down. Medical expenses and the consequences of this accident led to the bankruptcy of my company, despite all my efforts to keep it afloat. My lease was terminated, and I now find myself unable to restart my activities without external support.

ELOHIM COSMETICS was not only a source of income for me but also a means to fund local orphanages and pay my employees. Reviving this business is therefore crucial, not only for me but also for the children I was helping through it.

This is why I am reaching out to you to request funding of $13,200. This amount will allow the factory to restart production,  pay off the debts, and breathe new life into this initiative that combines health, well-being, and solidarity. You can find evidence of my work and achievements in this link:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/jBcFTH63wqDAyQWT7

I firmly believe in you and your solidarity, and I am convinced that your support could have a significant impact, not only on my life but also on the lives of those who benefit from my products and the orphanages I support.

I remain entirely at your disposal to provide further information or discuss this request. Hoping for a favorable response, I thank you in advance for the attention you will give to my situation.

With deepest gratitude,
Founder of ELOHIM COSMETICS TOGO

Need Help

Hi,

My name is Christy, and I am 44 years old. I am here asking someone for help. I have an invention that I can not pay off to get it produced. It is something that I know would fly off the selves. I did pay for it before when I had a job. I still owe almost 13,000 to Davidson. I can not tell you what it is, of course. I do not want anyone else to try and steal it. I am not the type to ask for help. I learned young that if you want something done, do it yourself. This would turn my life around. I am a baby girl of three. Only a girl. I have two older brothers. My dad died when I was 9. My life was never the same. I have three wonderful boys. A few years back I left a husband that gave me PTSD. I won’t get into that. I moved in with my mom. I was working, but being the only one with 6 people in the house working, I ended up homeless. Right before I became homeless, I started online courses. I am getting my bachelor’s in psychology. After almost a year of being homeless, I kept my grades up. I’m living with my brother now in a one-bedroom camper. My youngest boy has been living with friends, and I can not be there for him. He has already been stabbed in the face. I tried keeping everything together for everyone like I always do, but doing that alone is hard. I know they have people who are worse off than me. I do finally have a roof over my head. I have seen a lot on the streets. I have been through a lot as well. I have struggled my whole life, and I am tired. I am not giving up. I will never do that. I want my boys proud of me.   Suppose I can get some help and pay that off. It will be the break I always needed. I’m asking for just a little help. I hope y’all find it in y’all hearts to help. If not, it’s ok. I will find it somehow. Thank you all for reading my story. Have a blessed day.

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade

Dear Friends,

I am writing to seek financial support for my new business venture, which focuses on renting inflatable dance clubs and event rentals. My journey to this point has been marked by resilience, perseverance, and a deep commitment to serving my community, and I am excited to channel these qualities into my entrepreneurial endeavors.

At the age of 16, I faced significant personal challenges. I left school, became pregnant, and married a 27-year-old man who eventually drained my inheritance. Despite these hardships, I dedicated myself to raising my three children. I actively volunteered in their classrooms, served as a Cub Scout Leader for several years, and participated in the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) for multiple years, even holding the position of president. During my tenure, I led successful fundraising efforts that resulted in the construction of a new playground for the school. Additionally, I spearheaded a community fundraiser that raised over $10,000 for a local family’s newborn who required critical medical treatment.

While fulfilling my responsibilities as a mother and community volunteer, I also worked part-time and pursued my education. I earned my GED and, in my 30s, achieved my Registered Nurse (RN) degree. Unfortunately, my marriage was plagued by mental and financial abuse, infidelity, and neglect. After enduring years of these difficulties, I made the courageous decision to divorce. However, my ex-husband’s actions left me financially devastated, with drained bank accounts, sabotaged assets, and estranged children.

Today, I am starting over with a renewed focus on my mental health and personal growth. Despite the severe anxiety I experience, which prevents me from working as a nurse, I am determined to build a successful business that brings joy and entertainment to my community. My venture, centered around renting inflatable dance clubs and event rentals, aims to create memorable experiences for individuals and families while providing a source of income for myself.

However, I face significant financial challenges, including $40,000 in student loans. Therefore, I am seeking funding to help cover the initial costs of purchasing equipment, marketing, and establishing a strong business foundation. Your support will enable me to overcome these obstacles and turn my vision into reality.

I am confident that my dedication, work ethic, and community spirit will drive the success of this business. I am committed to creating a thriving enterprise that not only supports my family but also contributes positively to our community.

Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my business plan in greater detail and explore how your support can make a meaningful impact.

Standdown

Hello my name is Michael Reese I work volunteering at the stand down for North America I provide items for homeless veterans like sleeping bags shirts cots wool blankets hydration systems polar fleece jackets and boots. I have been doing this for the last ten years and I love it however it is voluntary so there is no pay and I struggle financially to keep the lights on but I would not trade it for the world I live it. All I am asking for is a little assistance so that I can keep this going. I am just the wearhouse worker so I do not have access to the funds donated to directly to the stand down not that I would use it for my own personal gain that is for the veterans and I would do anything for them. They have sacrificed their lives so that we can live in a free world and they should be treated like celebrities.  I live out in the middle of nowhere Ive had cancer due to occular melanoma and I lost my left  eye I’ve had two shoulder surgeries due to cancer in my shoulders I am cancer free for now but I am at high risk. I plan on serving the veterans until the day I check out. Not only do I do the yuba- Sutter area I also take care of plumas county, Glenn county, lake county, El Dorado county, Ventura county, and many others.  All I’m asking for is a little help to keep the lights on I figure if a million people send me just one dollar I could help these veterans keep getting the help they need and will be able to provide thank with what they deserve. I will NEVER use the money for my own personal gain (luxury cars houses etc) I just need to be comfortable so I can keep providing the space I need to help out these heroes we do often put on the back burner I hope this is 400 words at least so it gets read anyway that’s all i have to say im hoping its enough love you all and remember it’s for the veterans my cash app is mikeyree09 and my PayPal is mikeydavid65@gmail.com

Help Me Start My Business

I’m an ex-con who has turned my life around. I’ve struggled to find meaningful work despite possessing the knowledge and skills required. It seems that few companies want to give me a chance to prove myself. I am an experienced diesel mechanic with multiple Cummins certifications. I want to start my own mobile auto repair business in order to meet an unmet need in my rural community. I have the knowledge, experience, skills and tools that I need to be successful. My LLC has been secured. What I need now is the working capital to purchase a welder, parts and supplies to do the job. As they say: ‘it takes money to make money’. That is what I’m lacking. I am trying to build a stable income for my family’s future. Can you help me succeed? https://cash.app/$shortysrepairandfab

Help Me Keep My Small Business!

I am an Army veteran who took a chance on myself and started a small business. I am an African American woman who owns a beauty supply store and currently have four employees. I still have my day job which helps to fund my small business because often it is hard to make ends meet at my store when inflation and needing supplies come faster than the profit. I am currently in a lot of debt due to needing the funds to keep products on the shelves and my employees paid. It is not easy to just close the business because I am leasing a space with still two years to go. I want to keep my commitment to myself, my employees, and my customers who are proud to see an African American woman behind the counter in a business like this. Please help with anything you can. The money will be used to fund the monthly expenses as well as keep products on the shelves. Thank you in advance and have a great day to anyone reading this.

I need support to boost my Palm oil bussiness

Request for Financial Support for Palm Oil Production

Good day.

I am a 52-year-old woman entrepreneur . I am reaching out to seek your support in realizing a dream that has the potential to uplift not only my life but also the lives of many in my community. I am in the process of establishing a palm oil production business, and I am seeking financial assistance of up to $10,000 to acquire the necessary equipment.

Growing up in a rural area, I have witnessed the challenges faced by local farmers and the struggles of women in our community. Many women work tirelessly in agriculture, yet they often lack access to resources and opportunities. My vision is to create a sustainable palm oil production business that empowers local farmers, particularly women, by providing them with fair wages and a reliable market for their produce.

Palm oil is a vital commodity in Nigeria, used in cooking, food processing, and various industries. However, the production process is often inefficient and outdated. By investing in modern milling equipment, I can significantly increase production efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce waste. This will not only benefit my business but also create job opportunities for local workers and support the livelihoods of farmers who supply the palm fruits.

With your generous support, I plan to purchase essential equipment such as a palm fruit digester, a hydraulic press, and a refining unit. These machines will enable us to process palm oil more effectively, ensuring that we meet market demands while maintaining high standards of quality. Additionally, I aim to implement sustainable practices that will benefit the environment and promote responsible farming.

Your investment will have a ripple effect, creating economic opportunities and fostering community development. By supporting this venture, you will be helping to empower women, promote local agriculture, and contribute to the economic growth of our region.

I am committed to transparency and accountability, and I will ensure that every dollar is utilized effectively to achieve our goals. I would be grateful for the opportunity to discuss this proposal further and explore how we can work together to make a lasting impact.

Thank you for considering my request. Your support can help turn this vision into reality, and together, we can create a brighter future for our community

Joy
