Hello angels, friends, community and world. I am Britt. My full time restaurant job just pays the bills and basics. What will really help to achieve the next levels is assistance for Art Fund. Outside of work I am a 50+ multidisciplinary artist. As a younger woman time was well spent at Provincetown Art Association, Truro Center for the Arts, and in various artists studios. Some of the artists are self taught. Some are legacies of artistic families such as the Packards or students of the Hawthorne School.
Currently Mesa Arts Center, Phoenix Center for the Arts, and Maricopa County Community College Network bring life, joy, connection and opportunity to this aspect of my life.
I am seeking a $25,000 Art Fund Stipend for continuing education, tools, equipment, and supplies in several disciplines. For example:
5,000 for continuing education and community connection
5,000 for stained glass and glass blowing supplies
5,000 for welding tools and metal supply (shout out to Industrial Metal Supply located in Phoenix AZ)
5,000 for painting and printmaking materials
5,000 for a heavy duty printmaking press with felt mat
This is a tremendous wish list. Art is essential. Like many things it can be used in different ways. I seek beauty, joy, connection, expression and positive impact on community. The gift of stipend creates time and holds space for the incredible process of creativity. I hope this message finds you well and inspires you to sign up for art class. Thank you for your time.
