Like many people, I’ve overcome a series of difficulties. I can share all the details if anyone wants but the bullet points look like this:

I was a teen mother and worked as soon as I could

I married at a young age to escape my parental situation

My eldest sister passed away young from a drinking problem

My husband took advantage of me, racked up loans and credit card debt, we filed bankruptcy and divorced after 13 years of marriage

Within 6 months of the divorce my father got very ill due to his drinking problem and I took a few months to handle his end of life care

What little he had to pass on went to my elder sister

I lost my housing and bounced from couch to couch with my daughter

I am now renting a house and still playing catch up from the divorce, which was just over two years ago.

I am looking for help for a number of reasons. I am getting behind on rent, I still have loans to pay off from the divorce, I have student loans, medical procedures coming up, and my vehicle is quickly expiring. I have a good job and I actively work 40-60 hours per week.

If you can help that would ease my stress and help me get a healthier fresh start. I am excited to go to a grocery store again instead of the food shelves I’ve been frequenting. I am excited to find some peace of mind by starting a savings account. I am hopeful to achieve a point in my life where I’m living. I’ve been stuck in survival mode for so long and it does cause me to question how long I can survive.

I know I’m not the worst off in the world. Survival mode goes a long way. I hope you can imagine the joy and peace you’d bring to a mother and her daughter.          JP and I were together 20 years. He was on disability. The last 10 years I took care of him. COPD, Dementia, Alzheimer’s. Towards the end Congestive Heart Failure and other health issues. He passed away. His body was donated to UTN (United Tissue Network) for science. For preclinical research, Orthopedic surgical training, Activities designed for medical students. When you donate in return the cremation is done at no charge. I now have his remains. I need an urn to be his forever home. What the remains are in now is a temporary box.

 

We have several rescues 1 dog and 6 cats. Bear, Gulliver, Blaze, Midnight, Pipsqueak, Tibby, Lilly. We had several kittens adopted out through a local agency. We were not a rescue They would just follow JP or me home or show up at the house. One time he spotted a kitten in a parking lot. It was said if it’s still there when the shopping was done he could have it. He snuck outside and put it in a cart. Therefore it was still there. He brought it home. Some of them are babies of rescues. This is their furever home. I need help with food mainly and Veterinary bills it’s check-up time for some of them. Including heartworm/tick/flea meds for all. The dog needs Urinary SO. That is prescribed by a Veterinarian. It’s expensive but is needed. Unusual as it sounds he had a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery which is common in cats for urinary obstruction. He couldn’t urinate. It was said by the veterinarian at the time he was the second dog to have it done that he knew of.

 

I have exactly 9 teeth to be extracted. Some of them will need to be surgically removed. Because of certain medicines I’m on, and health issues I have. Need to see an Oral surgeon. It’s hard to eat sometimes. I get abscesses a lot. Some teeth are broken off at the gum. Not much of the teeth are left. Overall not good for my health. I would need a bottom full denture plate. I have a full top denture plate.

 

My other medical would be a podiatrist. My feet are in dire need. I can’t cut the nails.They are to hard and brittle. I have one toenail that has grown backwards over the toe on one foot. The other foot nail has grown upwards not outward. It has been causing pain and hard to walk. Finding shoes that fit are a issue. I probably  need special shoes made. I need a medical pedicure. The nails may need to be removed. I’m hoping they can be saved.

 

I currently have a broken ankle and the Doctor bills are going up.

I would like to write you an intimate story of an extraordinary situation of why I am making a request to strangers for cash. But, truthfully, I do not have any type of medical condition with tons of medical bills and need a life saving operation, I am not in an abusive domestic relationship or any relationship actually, and although I am hoping to go back to school for Nurse Practitioner, that is also not the reason I am reaching out.

I currently am just in a bad situation in my life and honestly, just need to catch a break. I’m requesting $3,200 for rent and to finish paying my lawyer his retainment fee to help me defend my nursing license against the Louisiana State Board of Nursing so I can continue doing what I love most, which ironically is helping others.  I recently resigned from my job as Nursing director of Behavioral Therapy Group Program for senior citizens because if I had not resigned, I would have been fired for refusing to discharge 2 patients. Ethically, I could not look my patients in the eyes and discharge them from a program they both need. One being a veteran and one that started the program actively thinking about suicide. The reason for discharging was because the company I worked for did not like their insurance reimbursement rate or methods of reimbursement. Medicare advantage plans and Tri-care for life are not traditional Medicare therefore, they do not want them as patients. Upon refusing to discharge because of greediness projected by the company, I was told corporate would be visiting to discuss the situation and policies. My direct supervisor said that is a warning that I’ll be let go at that time. So I bowed out and kept my dignity and my heart in the right place. But of course right after that, I get a call form the State Board about a lawsuit of a previous patient I cared for during the pandemic ( I am a critical care nurse of 13ish years) and it is going to trial. We have to retain our own lawyer if we don’t work for the accused hospital anymore. Which, if yall didn’t know, it’s not cheap. I have already paid the first $1,000 but need $2,000 more to continue representation and then $1200 would be for my rent this month while I am job searching. I really am looking for a loan and  not a handout. My credit is crap though because like the title says, I really just suck at being an adult. But I do pay bills on time thanks to auto-draft.
If anyone is willing to help me out, I appreciate you and the time and thought you have given my situation. I moved to a very rural area in Texas to get a break after the pandemic so job searching is taking a lot longer than normal. I currently cannot work at the bedside due to some PTSD from 2.5 years of working in the ICU during COVID and am working hard to get past that. After months and months of planning a safe escape, and actually getting an order of protection that was not followed… My soon to be exhusband violated the order of protection, attempted to kidnap our toddler, my 16 year old and I were injured in the process trying to prevent him from taking her after he stole my car keys, he almost smacked our daughters head into the corner of the fridge, to which my 16 year old is my hero when she was able to jump in between him and the fridge which stopped my toddler from hitting it. Which is when my scream startled him and he set her down. After convincing him to allow them to go into the other room, he looked at me and said if the cops show up he’d kill me. I just blankly said okay. He then said he would kill everyone in the house as he turned his gaze towards where my daughters just walked.

after what felt like an eternity, and calming talking to him outside, I was able to get my kids outside and the police called. To which he tried to escape out of the back door. The police caught him, and he’s in jail. But if he makes bond, I fear my daughters and I will be his first stop.

We are moving and in the process of getting rid of stuff, putting everything else in storage. I don’t have some magic number that I need, I am still in shock and simply cannot get those words out of my head.

He has stolen every holiday from us since last Halloween. My toddlers 2nd birthday is a month away.

Hello. I am a mother, wife and I work full time. My husband is 100% disabled though the VA. I recently did a debt consolidation through National debt relief. I do not recommend that for anyone. It’s been a long hard process with them getting all my creditors. I know it was totally my responsibility to make sure that every single one was accounted for during this process. Unfortunately one was not and by the time I found out they already approved me for my loan and I have been paying them 250.00 every 2 weeks. When I called them for help in this matter I was told there was nothing they can do until I paid off this loan for my consolidation of debt. I have always been a very hard working man and believe in hard work to get ahead in life coupled with skills! When I married my wife years ago I knew we could make it! Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Long Story Short, I am first born of 10 Children and grown up there home in East Africa. I became a believer from Sunday School. As I became teenage things reversed. I was imprisoned. We are told no to call the name of God even forced to deny the existence of God. Many people was shot and killed. There was communist regime who did all these tribulations. I was persecuted lost my father. So I went to Bible School anonymously by the time. But that Bible School finally was closed so my persecution time extended. I am 60 years old now. Imagine I am telling you a story. Because that has laid a foundation for my current personality. After the communist regime in Ethiopia was defeated the so called democratic government arose so I was able to go again second time in my life to go to Seminary. Three years in the Bible School. After graduation there was no employment. For women there is no like opened door in the culture. But I stayed still in my underground ministry. When I was 56 years old I got an opportunity of becoming permanent resident in the United States for I just won a lottery from the Government Diversity Website. Even though I am happy and thankful to God to get this chance I decided to move to New York City. I love this city but life became so hard, and I ended up in the shelter. After 5 years of struggle now I found my studio apartment. I tried to work and earn money as much as I can even I contributed my tithe, offering and gift to rebuild that destructed Church in my childhood because of communist regime, it is never ever forgettable. My siblings also contributed a lot because I motivated them. Now the new Chapel is to be commemorated .I have two purposes to travel, to visit my family after 7 years of departure and to celebrate the reconstructed Church with my birth area community.
