I am a Vietnam veteran, served in the Air Force from 1970 to 1974. I live on Social Security and a small VA pension. Which turns out to be a little over $1300 a month.
I went to help my sister to do some home repairs that she desperately needed. I had most of my tools and belongings in a trailer I moved to my sisters property. The trailer was stolen with everything in it.
I reported it to the police and a few days later they found my trailer empty. I had to pay recovery fees of $1400 to get my trailer back. The trailer had some damage, but not as much as to be expected The police report number 072401662 and that’s San Bernardino County Sheriff Department.
I am just looking for enough money to replace most of my tools and toolboxes. There’s some things I can’t replace like my fathers antique watch and other valuable keepsakes.
i’ve been trying to come up with the amount that would replace my tools and repair my trailer. My best guess is $30,000 to $50,000. If I can get anywhere close to that, I would be happy.
Everything is so expensive nowadays especially tools. And that’s the majority of my loss. I’m not one to ask for money, but because of my circumstance, I have no choice.
