Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Co-signer NEEDED, Please!!!

Hello!  My name is Ana Cano.  I am a widow and mother of four beautiful children, all under the age of 10.

Recently, our van has reached 200,00 miles and is starting to leave us stranded.  I had originally requested $8,000 to pay off the remainder balance on our van.

However, I found a program through a dealership that would pay off the balance and place us in a new car with $1,000 down.  Unfortunately, since my husband’s passing, my credit score has suffered and I will need a co-signer.

If you find it in your heart to co-sign for our vehicle, we would greatly appreciate it!

Or if you would like to donate money or a car, that would also help us get to school and work!

I have included my email and pay-pal account below.

Thank you in advance!

Many blessings,

Ana Cano

I’m tired of paying rent and I want a house

I have been working since I was 14 and since then I have saved to have a house. It was a dream that I wanted to fulfill, but it became necessary when I had my son. I got pregnant when I was 18 and my son’s father left us when my little one turned three. My mother supports me and between the two of us we pay rent, food, utilities and she also helps me with my son when she can. During the pandemic I lost my job and we survived with what I had saved for my house, since we continued paying rent, utilities and basic needs.

I cannot access a loan due to my job because it is not formal and they do not give us legal benefits. I recently finished high school, here it is called bachiller, and now I can have a better job with benefits, but I still have to wait 5 or 8 years to access a loan.

At the moment I work in a fast food restaurant, I sell catalog products among others, I also clean 3 different houses a week in my free time, all to be able to save again, but food prices have gone up a lot. , services, medicines etc. That it has become impossible for me to save.

Now my dream has become a greater need because my sister has returned to live with us. Her partner left when she was one month after giving birth and also left her dog. Now my mother, my sister and her baby, my son and I, two dogs that we already had and the one that my sister brought, live in the small apartment.

He is a pitbull dog and the first few months he was here he got a skin disease and stopped eating, we thought he was depressed because they abandoned him and with treatment and many visits to the vet we were able to get him through. I highlight his breed because he is a large dog and now that he is healthy he is very strong. Since he arrived we tried to include him because we already had two more dogs and we wanted to make him feel loved, but when he recovered he started to behave aggressively, he barked at us, he bit us “playing” and he did everything while playing. until he attacked one of our other dogs, but this one did it seriously and because of his strength we couldn’t separate them. The vet suggested a trainer and the trainer told us that dogs are unpredictable and even if they are trained, they can go a long time without attacking until they do it again and suggested we separate them. Also, he attacked my male dog, so it was a fight for dominance.

We followed the trainer’s instructions so our routine was based on putting our two dogs, who have always been together, in a bedroom and having the other one free, living with everyone and then putting him in and taking the others out. And so every day at different times… sometimes they have escaped us and indeed, my big dog attacks my other dog again. In total he has attacked him three times and that is why we have become more paranoid and strict.

The solution in my country is to give him up for adoption, but since he is not a pure breed (he is a mixed breed) they do not want him and we are afraid that they will abandon him. Also in my country, although it is a crime, they still have dog fights and we are afraid that they want me to fight. The other option is to put him to sleep, but for us it is not an option, the dog is only 2 years old and it does not seem fair to us that he does not have a full life full of love…

My request is too big, I know. I have gotten used to working since I was very little and I know that everything costs, that nothing is free, but it really suffocates me and I know that my mother and my sister feel the same, the three of us work tirelessly and our efforts only give us what we need, We don’t even have normal entertainment, before the pandemic I could even afford to take my son to the movies once every two months, now we can’t afford anything more than the basic needs. I want the money to buy a house and take a load off our shoulders and the house I have seen is perfect. It is not very expensive, due to gentrification all prices have risen a lot, but it is one of the few houses that are not so expensive and I love it because it has 2 separate patios… so my dogs can be free. without them fighting, it is even a space for children. It is not necessary to cover what it costs, I can work twice as hard to continue paying for the house and for my family to have a safe place to enjoy. I hate having my son in so much poverty, I really try, but the money is not enough.

Pd1:If you decide to help me, please put “donation” in the concept so they don’t take too much from me in taxes. please. this is my paypal link https://www.paypal.me/k9619

Pd2:I have translated this with Google Translator I hope you understand me

Pd3:the house costs 350,000 dollars

Desperate Single Mother

I am a 47 yr—old single mother of four children. Two live with me, and two have flown the nest. I have found myself in a dilemma I NEVER thought I would be in. I dedicated my life to my husband and children. I was a stay-at-home mother for many, many years. When I separated from my husband, and we decided to get a divorce, I had to start all over again. I had no money, job, education, or vehicle. I am now working two jobs, and I am a full-time student. It has been a struggle because I must care for my two daughters. Rent, school, car payments, utilities, and food are costly.

Needing money is not just a financial issue; it can also take a toll on one’s mental health. The reality is that financial struggles have led to feelings of helplessness, shame, and anxiety. Sometimes, I feel like I have failed or cannot provide for myself and my daughters. Asking for financial assistance is often seen as a sign of weakness or failure, making it challenging to reach out for support. I have never done anything like this before and I am almost ashamed to do it, but I am now desperate.

I need about $15,000 to help me get caught up with everything. I graduate in four months and plan to find another job that will pay me a significant salary so I do not have to keep working two jobs. I have tried doing little odd jobs here and there for extra cash, but it does not add up. My daughters and I have cut back on what we buy at the supermarket. We moved to another apartment to save, but the rent is still over $1,500 monthly. I do not qualify for programs because they say I make too much money.

If I could get some help, any help to go towards the $15,000, I would appreciate it very much. The money would be used for rent, utilities, food, my education, credit card, and car payments. I must get caught up before it all comes crashing down around me and my daughters. I work hard for what I have now; I am not lazy. Please do not think I am sitting around not doing anything because that would be far from the truth. I need some help right now, and I know that Karma, God, or whatever deity you pray or look up to will bless you for it.

Single Disabled mom Raising an Autistic Biopolar son

Hello friends!

Thank you for reading! For the last 10 years, I have been blessed to have family support to raise my autistic bipolar son (sadly not from his father). This support has now ended. With my spine severely curved and being in my upper 50’s, finding suitable work for me is an ongoing challenge. In addition to my spine, my lungs have been compromised due to the curvature and exposure to a mouse infestation when helping someone clean out their house. These health conditions, plus some depression and a possible hiatal hernia, I feel blessed to be able to get out of bed every day. I continue on with my chin up for my son’s sake. All this and getting out of an abusive relationship have led to an accumulated of significant debt ($19k). I now have disability payments which are not enough to live on nor pay off my debt.

We need the debt paid off, $5k for Wyatt’s braces and a suitable home. Blessed as we are to have a roof, this house creates an added health risk for me and the lung condition I face. Having a healthy home with enough land for a garden will give me the exercise I need to stay out of a wheel chair. In addition, I need extra income (or a job) to pay for the necessary therapies to keep me going while taking care of myself and my son.

Thank you and be blessed when you give!

Single going through hardship

Hello,

I would first like to start off by saying thank you to anyone who provides any assistance and reads my cry for help.

I am a single Mum with 10 years old boy. My son’s biological father left me 7 months pregnant and  refused to even meet or know anything about his son. I never haven’t received any financial help or support from him, rising my boy. I was a mum and dad for my little boy since he was born. When my son was 4 I met one man and after a while I let him in our world. After a couple of years he started abusing me till one day he beated me up in front of my son and checked us out in the street the way we were standing. I was so afraid of him at that time that didn’t press any charges against him and later was too late. Social services (police contacted them) helped us by finding a temporary accommodation where to live. After 9 months we have got a bungalow from Housing Association. Starting from this point, since we lost everything we had, also a job at that time, I hade to make a fresh start for my son, for us. I took a credit to help us to get the main things. Started working 16h a week now, but all I can afford are main bills and food for my son. I am driving an old 2004 year car (the only one I could afford cheapest just to help to get me to work), which is now breaking down and according to the mechanic is not fixable (he said I need a new car as I am driving daily at my own risk). I simply can not afford the new car. All the previous debts, which in total are nearly £8000, car issues, son is need of a laptop (he needs to do homework on it twice a week) is killing me. I am a hard working, but due this incident I have back issues myself and stress, on the top I am still taking my son to the doctors as he has got tinnitus (caused by stress my ex caused) that made me ill. I don’t know how to pay all my debts off, get back on my own feet again and help my son, so he wouldn’t be stressing, would get better with his illness, and wouldn’t stay behind with his learning. And he loves school and learning. I am so stressed so please do excuse my grammar mistakes.

Please, help me and thank you for hearing my situation and for any assistance.

“Seeking Support for a New Beginning: Mother of Two Escaping Abuse, Now Homeless and in Need”

In the face of adversity, my two children, aged 14 and 17, stand as beacons of strength and resilience. Despite the challenges of our current homelessness, their intelligence, athleticism, and unwavering spirit shine through.

As a single parent, I’ve strived to raise exceptional children—individuals who embody strength, intelligence, and resilience. Little did I anticipate the circumstances that would lead us to our current situation. Fleeing an abusive ex-boyfriend, who subjected us to physical, emotional, and verbal abuse, was an agonizing but necessary decision. One day, summoning the courage, I chose to leave everything behind in pursuit of a safer, healthier life for my family.

Leaving the past behind meant forfeiting the comfort of a home, possessions, and stability. The weight of this decision was immense, but it was fueled by the desire to break free from the cycle of abuse and provide my children with a chance at a brighter future.

Now, facing the harsh reality of homelessness, we navigate the challenges together as a family. The uncertainty of each day brings forth new hurdles, and the need for assistance has become undeniable. Basic necessities are scarce, and the quest for stability feels like an uphill battle.

Yet, amidst these hardships, there is a resilient bond that holds us together. The strength of my children, both emotionally and physically, has become a source of inspiration. Their academic achievements and prowess in sports stand testament to their fortitude.

Asking for help is not easy, but it is a plea born out of necessity. We need support to rebuild our lives, to secure a roof over our heads, and to create a nurturing environment for my children to thrive. It’s a plea for a chance to turn the page on this difficult chapter and embark on a new journey towards stability and security.

In the midst of this adversity, there is hope. Hope for a community that extends a helping hand, hope for a brighter future, and hope for a life free from the shadows of abuse. Together, as a family, we remain determined to overcome these challenges and emerge stronger on the other side, resilient in the face of adversity.

The prospect of financial assistance and housing support is not just a lifeline for my family; it’s the beacon of hope we desperately need to navigate through these challenging times. With gratitude, we would embrace any form of assistance extended to us, recognizing its potential to propel us back onto the path of stability.

Financial aid is not merely a means to meet immediate needs; it’s an investment in our future, a chance to rebuild shattered foundations. It would provide the essential resources for securing temporary shelter, putting food on the table, and addressing the pressing needs of my children. More than that, it’s an opportunity to break free from the shackles of homelessness and rebuild a life that was abruptly upended.

Equally crucial is housing assistance—a sanctuary that goes beyond the physical structure. It’s a haven where my children can feel safe, where they can focus on their studies, and where we can piece together the fragments of our lives. A stable home is not just a roof over our heads; it’s a foundation for growth, a place where dreams can be nurtured, and where the wounds of the past can heal.

The urgency of our situation cannot be overstated. Every day without stable housing and financial security jeopardizes the well-being and future of my family. The importance of this assistance extends far beyond the immediate relief; it’s about reclaiming our independence, rebuilding shattered dreams, and providing a stable environment for my resilient children to thrive.

To those considering extending a helping hand, your support is not just a gesture; it’s the catalyst for transformation. It’s a chance to rewrite the narrative of our lives, to turn a page on hardship, and to emerge stronger on the other side. We are grateful for any assistance offered, knowing that it has the power to restore hope, dignity, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Thank you!

Seeking Financial Assistance for Rent

I hope this finds you well. I am reaching out in a time of great need.

I am a single mother to two children, survivors of a traumatic 10-year Domestic Violence situation that I managed to escape two years ago. After finding out he also had been violent to the children I fled with them, he chased us, beat me and stabbed me in front of our 2 children to try and stop me getting away. The 2 year legal battles that ensued left me mentally and financially drained, ultimately leading to the recent loss of my full-time job.

Despite obtaining a final court order ensuring no contact with the perpetrator due to the severe threat he poses, I find myself unable to meet this month’s rent of $1999. I have alot of debt from 2 years of legal and court dates. The financial strain is compounded by upcoming school expenses, including supplies and uniforms for my children.

I am actively seeking employment, selling personal items, and exploring all avenues to generate income. However, I currently have $900 and need an additional $1100 to cover the rent shortfall.

Any contribution, whether it’s $20, $50, or $100, would be immensely appreciated and help alleviate the immediate stress we are facing. I understand that times are challenging for many, and I am grateful for any support you can offer.

I rarely seek financial assistance, but circumstances have left me with no alternative. Your kindness and generosity during this difficult time would mean the world to us.

I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering our situation. Your compassion can make a significant difference.

I never thought I would be in this situation. I was an engineering student, 1 year away from receiving my degree. Fell in love, got pregnant, but had a really critical pregnancy. I was hospitalized through most of it, I had to drop out of my classes & wasn’t able to work. My boyfriend had to take over the bills and mortgage. He paid for all of me and my little girls’ bills. He became super abusive, and possessive, & is constantly hurting me and my daughter. I really want to leave. I called the cops on him and they took him to jail for a couple of days but now he’s back at home and the abuse is even worse. I have no car, no job, & no proof of income to even qualify to get a place. I have gone all around town taking applications to every place that I know is hiring and even the ones that aren’t. All I am asking for is a little help just to get back onto my feet. Just to buy a little car & the first couple months rent until I can support us. I am a hardworking woman, I just trusted the wrong man with my life and my little humans. Please help us get out of this house. It really is a living hell. The things I experience on a daily basis are unspeakable. Help me leave this life behind if not for me, for my sweet angel baby.

Thank you.

Help with bills..single mom of 7

I am a 31 year old, single mom of 7 young beautiful children and I am struggling to pay my rent and bills. My ex-fiance and father of my children left me and our children with nothing nor will he help with anything. I can’t hold down a job because I am parenting on my own with no type of support of others. I live in a run down 3 bedroom apartment which I now have to pay $1600 a month for. I am 3 months behind on my car bill, I have cut off notices from the power company, and I barely have any food. I started door dashing but I only make enough to feed my kids, and pay on a small bill. I tried getting help from other sources but with lack of money, I couldn’t get the help at all. I gotten denied by unemployment twice. I couldn’t even give my children a Christmas and that hurt me seeing how upset they were. This whole situation have stressed me out to the point I had to be hospitalized 3x for high blood pressure and one for a heart attack. Which also didn’t help my situation at all. I really don’t like the fact I gotten to the point of asking for help, but I don’t want to lose the only place we have. Anything helps, I just need enough to get by until I am able to get back on my feet again.

Thank you for any donation given.

Single Mum and Widow With Autistic Daughter Seeking Urgent Rent Assistance & New Home

Dear Generous Donor,

I am requesting personal financial assistance for myself and my Autistic daughter to find a new home. I am 65-year-old mother and widow living alone with my daughter who is 30 years old with Medium Learning Disability Autism. We desperately need your help to secure suitable rental accommodation and private Carers to help me and my daughter through our current health issues and financial hardship.

In early December 2023, my landlord gave us two months’ notice to vacate the house by 14 February 2024 because he must quickly sell the property for personal family reasons. This is a very emotional time for me and my daughter, especially with me facing serious health and financial hardships.

We currently live in a semi-detached house on a busy street. When my Autistic daughter screams during the night, her noise disturbs our neighbours from sleeping and they ask me to stop her from making noise and to do something to make her calm down, which is impossible to do. We need a large house of our own, preferably a DETACHED HOUSE with 8 bedrooms or more and 3 small cottages extensions attached to the main house for health care professionals looking after my daughter and I during the day and night.

In 2019, I developed an ulcer on my right ankle. After 2 months, it healed up but I developed another ulcer on my left ankle. Since 2019 this ulcer has not healed, and I am very worried about my health and inability to work and earn enough money for my daughter and me. I have not worked since 2022 as I have no strength to carry on working like I used to because both my legs are now very painful and weak to walk and stand for long period of time.

My main concern that keeps me up all night is how I am going to secure the funds to rent a safe and comfortable home for my daughter and I BEFORE the DEADLINE day, 14 February 2024.

My daughter and I desperately need your help to raise $108,000 for moving out expenses and to rent a new house, pay electricity, gas, water, internet and phone bills for the next 12 months. Every donation amount will greatly help my Autistic daughter and me. Please kindly send your generous donations to:

Thank you in advance.

Warmest regards,

Regina and Koshie

Single Mom…Moving Expenses

Hello,
Please help… I’m a single mother of two young children. We are living in an RV/School bus and need help with moving expenses into a home. Security Deposit, First/Last month’s rent are $2275 each… Total of $6825. I work full-time at an elementary school. I do not have any other financial help. I have been saving for the basic cost of living so that I can provide for my children, but this expense hits our budget hard. My children’s father is not interested in helping with this expense. My children and I move from our family home June 2022, as the environment was not emotionally/mentally healthy. I was a homemaker for 10 years and have been re-building my life since moving out. Any help towards these expenses would be greatly appreciated. My children are innocent in this circumstance and deserve to live in a safe and comfortable environment, in both households. Please help me provide a proper home where they can thrive and enjoy life. We are tired of existing in this very cramped, small space. It has been a blessing for us, and served it’s purpose… but that has run it’s course. Thank you in advance for any funds that can be contributed to my family.
