Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Mom of 6 recently free of domestic abuser

Hello, my name is Amber and I am a mother of six, five boys and one girl ages 15 through 1.

Happily and thankfully, we were recently freed of this cycle of domestic abuse that we had been dealing with for the past few years, as mentioned above. However, it has left me financially in a difficult place.

You see, I was not allowed to work, so I literally have no money whatsoever right now.

In addition to being mentally and physically abusive and extremely jealous he was also very very controlling. So I was not allowed to have a job because that would mean I would have my own money, and he did not want that. I wasn’t allowed to have money at all unless it was right before I put in the grocery delivery orders that were how we purchased food for the house (because typically I wasn’t allowed to go and he didn’t like going)

Anytime I would actually get to leave the house, if I was gone for more than 15 minutes it would always be an argument with accusations even though I wasn’t allowed to leave in the first place unless I had taken two kids with me and shared my live location on GPS.

These are just a few examples of what was the norm around here however it hit a new level, and a level I wasn’t capable of dealing with any longer.

The last time I was at the store and he decided I was taking too long, he decided to put his hands on two of my boys, my 12 and 11-year-old. And I don’t mean a spanking. But, at least there was a silver lining to it, because this time he knew it would be enough to arrest him because it was no longer just his word against mine. Now it involved The two children he hurt and the other children that were present as well as videos that one of my other sons took.

Knowing that if were I to call the cops and have him arrested he would lose his very nice job with all its benefits and his vehicle etc., he decided to pack up and leave instead. But he also knew that he was leaving before he paid rent for this month, in fact made sure that I knew it wasn’t paid yet and that he wouldn’t be paying it. (Despite the fact that my youngest child is also his youngest child, our 18 month old son- and if the rest of us lose our home so does he along with us)

So while we are all much happier feeling this great weight off of our shoulders, mom is still a little worried, and I’m trying very hard not to let the kids know.

Rent is due on the 5th, which is tomorrow. Very short notice I know, the latest I could possibly pay it should be the 9th or 10th (before eviction filing begins).

He also left the water bill at $602 and change. He typically doesn’t pay the bills until they get shut off, even though he makes more than enough money to pay all the bills.

Luckily the electric just got shut off twice so the majority of the back balance on that has been taken care of but on the 15th another 281 is due for that as well.

I will absolutely be getting a job as soon as possible, I have already started applying several places, however due to the extremely short notice of the situation with rent, that is why I am asking for help.

I’m positive I will be able to find employment that will take care of me and my kids all on my own like I did years ago before he and I met, but it’s going to take me some time to get to that point and I know I won’t be able to do it before we are behind on rent here, and I really would like to prevent any more upheaval from my children’s lives, so anything that anyone can help with is so greatly appreciated.

*Also,*The rent and electric I should be able to find local agencies that should possibly help that so it’s mostly just the rent I am looking to get help with right now. (Any of the rent assistance programs in my area have a long application process)

Need a little help for my family

I live in Italy. My father died three years ago, leaving us with gambling debts. My mother is retired and earns around 800 euros a month, of which 500 she spends on the mortgage and the little remainder on various expenses and food. I work and help her pay her debts, I work as an employee but paying for the car, mortgage and expenses, with inflation going up, leaves me with nothing. I just wish I could finish paying the car payments and be able to help my mother with the expenses. I only need 9000 euros to be able to get back into the black. It would be a great help. Struggling Mom – Determined to Create Generational Wealth

I am a 45 year old mother of three beautiful children. I suffered from severe postpartum depression for years until I decided to go to school for my Masters degree, a decision that saved my life. As a single mother I had no choice but to live on students loans which further plunged me into debt. $200k in loans later, I am a college professor living check-to-check with a dream to own a home to reverse the cycle of financial struggle for my children. I am asking for $15k to pay bills and improve my credit score to purchase a home, which will afford me the financial mobility necessary to build wealth to pass on to my children. Anything you can contribute will get me one step closer to my vision. Please know that I am deeply grateful.

Please help save my baby girls

I’m not really sure where or how to start. I’m embarrassed to even have to do this, and I feel like such a failure to my girls. I have 3 girls, ages 7,11,14. They have been through more trauma in their life then most grown adults and I ‘m such a failure as their mother because no matter how hard I tried I wasn’t able to protect them. Let me explain…

I was married to their father until recently when he attempted to end our lives and is now spending the rest of his in prison. A lot of people asked why didn’t I leave? He isolated us from everyone and always told me if I tried to leave him he would kill me and take my daughters “off the grid.” And I know he would have. He was an extremely bad alcoholic. My babies suffered so much mental and physical abuse, and when he attempted to kill us, it also came out he was molesting  my two older ones and threatened to kill me if they ever told. We were scared to even talk with him around because if he took something we said the wrong way it would be a very bad day for us. I wasn’t allowed to have a job, money, and if we ever went anywhere I had to stare at the ground and not make eye contact with anyone or I would “be punished” when we got home. I was hospitalized 2 times from his punishments and my daughters had to watch it all and they would scream and cry and beg for him to please stop and that would make him turn on them. We lived way out in the country and our nearest neighbor was 6 miles away, so no one could ever hear our cries for help.
on the night he was he was choking me and trying to kill me my oldest daughter was brave enough to grab his phone (we weren’t allowed to have one) and called 911 and saved my life. He was arrested and after everything was said and done in courts last month he was sentenced to 26 years. That was basically a slap on the wrist in my opinion.
My babies have been so emotionally damaged and is in counseling. My oldest has begun cutting on herself and both are extremely scared to leave my side at all. With my own emotional damage and not being able to leave them by themselves has made it impossible for me to find a job. I door dash as much as I can everyday so that I can make at least 20-30 bucks for us to eat everyday. They are bullied in school really bad because of this and the fact that they have to wear old clothes that are small or torn up because I can’t buy them anything new that actually fit. I am facing foreclosure soon and we have nowhere to go because I have to have first/last months rent and a 1200 security deposit. We live in a very small rural area that has no funds or resources to help. We all have medication our psychiatrist has given us and I can’t even purchase that. I just need someone to help me get a good start and I’ll be able to start a good life for us and I’ll be able to save my babies before  it completely ruins the rest of their lives. They are such amazing girls and they are so strong willed. They have so many hopes and dreams I can’t help them achieve right now because I’m lucky if we get to eat everyday. My vehicle has a broken ball joint and until I can fix that, I can’t even try to DoorDash. I’m going into such a deep depression because I failed the 2 most beautiful, amazing angels you could ever meet. We all sleep in my bed together because of night terrors. We were victims of a very sick man and now we have to be homeless and hungry and my daughters need their medications and can’t get any.
they are still victims everyday having to go to school and get bullied and teased. I need food, clothes, first/last months rent ($1,350) plus $1200security deposit. We won’t have any dishes or furniture, no hygienes, and no way to fix car. Im praying everyday that someone will finally help us and let us start living a safe, happy,  peaceful life. Please help me save my babies.

DV Survivor in Need of Help to Move Forward for my Son

Hi there!

Thanks so much for stopping by, helping, and reading my story. I am a 30 year old single mom. I spent 7 years in an extremely violent and abusive ( in every way) relationship, with my son’s father. Luckily, I was able to get out alive and I’m thankful for that every day. It takes so much time and patience to heal from that situation especially when I’m also helping my son heal from the emotional trauma. The only reason I was even able to push past the fear to get out of that relationship was because I so desperately wanted better for my child. Now that we’re in a better place, I’m doing everything I can to push forward and give my son the life he deserves.

Unfortunately, on top of the abuse I was left with a lot of debt and no car (He stole my car, disappeared with it, it was later found and repossessed, because it was under my name they can’t do anything about it so I owe them about $6,000 on top of all the credit card debt). I don’t have any financial help or physical help with my child. I count on school for care while I work. What I make at my current job is only enough for my necessities. I’m not able to save, I can’t get a car, and I’ve been paying the minimum on all my debt. I’ve been in a never ending cycle of debt because I have to keep re-using the same debt I just paid to survive. This is no way to keep living.

I’ve decided I want to go back to school so I can better my son’s life. I want a career with good salary so I can comfortably provide for my child. I’m going back to school for Radiology. I’ve already been accepted, but the school is somewhat far from my son’s school.  In order to make our schedules work I would need a car to get back in time to pick up from afterschool. Also having a car would allow me to get a second part time job with door dash or amazon flex, which I would do after school pick up with my child.

I’ve always been a hard working, honest person. Also the type of person that was scared, or too prideful to ask for help. So, as a last resort to try and make my situation easier and give my son a better life, I’ve come on here to ask for help. I need help to pay off some of my debt, so I have less to pay monthly. I desperately need money for a car and insurance as well. Please if anyone out there can find it in their hearts to help,  it would be the biggest blessing for my son and I.

P.S. as much as I would want to share more specific details, I cannot due to safety issues. As my son’s father has not been arrested for his crimes against my son and I.

Here is the link to my PayPal  https://paypal.me/DonationsforKN?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US

Thank you so much in advance. God bless you all, and may your donations always be paid forward.

single mother of four with sick mother

“Hello, my name is Destiny Smith. I’m attending school for my medical administrative assistant associate degree at UMA; I have four beautiful children. I also help my mom, who has a heart condition, and I’m reaching out to you with a humble request. Every little bit helps, and I would be forever grateful for any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation or sharing this campaign with others. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for your generosity.”

I hope this helps.” If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

Home Modifications & Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle

As a single mother of three daughters, I am dedicated to providing the best care and support for each of them. My daughter Lanaya, who requires the most attention and specialized care, has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, microcephaly, a seizure disorder, and scoliosis. These conditions severely impact her mobility and overall quality of life, requiring her to use a wheelchair for most activities. Due to the complexity of her needs, our current living situation and transportation options are inadequate, and we urgently need home modifications and a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to ensure her safety, comfort, and well-being.

Home Modifications

Our home, as it stands, is not equipped to accommodate Lanaya’s needs. Now that she is getting older and her equipment is getting bigger, the layout and design of the house make it difficult, if not impossible, for her to navigate and participate in daily activities. Here are the specific modifications that we require:

  1. Bathroom Modifications: The bathroom in our home is one of the most challenging spaces for Lanaya. The narrow doorway prevents her wheelchair from entering, and the standard bathtub and shower are not accessible. We need to widen the bathroom doorway, install a roll-in shower, and add grab bars and a specialized toilet to meet her needs. These modifications would not only make bathing and personal care more manageable but would also give Lanaya a greater sense of independence and dignity.
  2. Widening Doorways: Many of the doorways and hallways in our home are too narrow for Lanaya’s wheelchair, making it difficult for her to move freely throughout the house. By widening these spaces, Lanaya would have greater mobility, allowing her to be more involved in family activities and reducing the risk of accidents.
  3. Bedroom Adjustments: Lanaya’s bedroom needs modifications to accommodate her medical equipment and ensure her comfort. This includes lowering counters and shelves, adjusting the bed height, and creating space for her wheelchair to maneuver easily.

Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle

In addition to home modifications, we urgently need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Our current vehicle does not meet Lanaya’s needs, making transportation a constant struggle. Here’s why a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is essential:

  1. Safe and Convenient Transportation: Transferring Lanaya from her wheelchair to a car seat is challenging and risky. It puts a strain on both Lanaya and me, and increases the chances of injury. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle would allow Lanaya to remain in her wheelchair during transit, ensuring her safety and comfort.
  2. Access to Medical Care: Lanaya has frequent medical appointments and therapies that are critical to her well-being. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle would make it easier to attend these appointments regularly, without the added stress of struggling with inadequate transportation.
  3. Increased Independence: Having a wheelchair-accessible vehicle would enable us to participate more fully in community activities, family outings, and social events. This would greatly enhance Lanaya’s quality of life, allowing her to experience more of the world around her.
  4. Emergency Preparedness: In case of emergencies, having a vehicle that can accommodate Lanaya’s wheelchair is crucial. It would allow us to respond quickly and ensure that she receives the necessary care without delay.

Conclusion

As a single mother, I strive to provide the best possible care for Lanaya and her sisters. However, the challenges of caring for a child with such complex medical needs are immense. The home modifications and wheelchair-accessible vehicle are not luxuries; they are necessities that would greatly improve Lanaya’s quality of life and ensure her safety and comfort. Your support in helping us achieve these goals would make an immeasurable difference in our lives, giving Lanaya the opportunity to live more independently and with greater dignity. Thank you for considering our situation and for any assistance you can provide.

My life has hit a rock bottom and feel hopeless. I would like to share my story.

Hi.

I am 42 years old single mom to 14 year old boy and girl twin. I am currently suffering from mental, emotional, physical, and financial distress.

My story goes back 14 years ago, when I gave birth two my healthy twins.  My husband would drink and be abusive.  He would choke and choke me when I was pregnant with my twins. It would be extremely nice in front of other but will torture me with abusive and violent words at home. Everyone though I had a wonderful husband.  I put up with his abuse for my parents and twins.

When my twins were six months old, he came home drunk and pushed me while I was holding my baby girl and I hit my head on the staircase. I had a laceration to my head and I had no choice but to call the police.  It was so violent that the prosecutor wouldn’t let me drop the charges so I had to go to the court to beg the judge to vacate the charge because he had a temporary residency in USA and I didn’t want him to be deported.  We separated since the incident and for an year we were trying to work things out. Even during this time, he would refuse to pay child support and visit the children.  This is when I finally had the strength and the will to divorce from my husband. I wanted to live. I lived with my parents and they took care of us financially and took care of my children while working.

After an year, I was diagnosed with extremely aggressive stage 3 cancer… I was age 32 and my twins were 2 year olds.  I was in denial when I first felt the bump on my breast.  It was a marble size at first but when I went in for a mammogram 2 months later it was size of a tennis ball and it has spread to my lymph nodes underarm and it was sticking out. It was so large that they could do a surgery to remove it instead they decided to shrink the tumor with chemo.  Within in a week of diagnoses I started chemo right away. Within 3 months my mom showed symptoms of weak health. Her breast cancer came back from year 2000.  We both had BRCA2 genes.  My mom had surgery and went into a treatment.  Our hardship would not end here, 6 months later my dad was diagnosed with rare form of cancer. Next couple of years, we had to scramble through all of our surgeries, chemos, and radiations while running a family ran business and raising twin toddlers.

In 2020, my parents both lost their battle to cancer. They left us by months apart. I witnessed both of them taking their last breath.  It was a great blessing to be there for them but it was also traumatic experience watching both of m0y strong parents wither away.  We were immigrants from South Korea and they worked 70+ hours a week to grow their business and help people who are in need.  After they passed, I was depressed due to guilt. My parents didn’t get to retire and receive the best treatment to fight cancer.  Since my ex husband was not supporting us my parents had to work harder while going through cancer treatments.

My children and I left our homewtown, NJ in 2021 to restart a new life in near by town.  I had too memories of my parents.  Unfortunately, after 8 months moving to a new place we had to experience racism, discrimination, and retaliation from our neighbor, landlord company, and the police officers.  This incident has turned our world upside down.  I was sent to the ER for panic and anxiety attacks many times because these people will lie to me when I knew the law.  They are currently under HUD investigation.  This event has put me in deeper depression including social anxiety and PTSD. My health started to deteriorate. My children had to watch me cry everyday and isolating myself from the world.  I was running our family business that my parents left me but I stopped going to work.  The business was ran by my employees.  In 2023, we decided to move back to our hometown because of the horrible incident we had. We felt that we didn’t belong there and I couldn’t trust the police department because police officers lied during the internal investigation.

In May of 2024, we were looking for a new place in our town and experience an another horrible treatment from the local realtor.  I knew that there were no realtor fee but he kept insisting it and it made me pay the application through his private bank account and etc.  When I try to get the truth out from his lies he lied to the landlord of our application and retaliated and refused to rent to us.  He screamed and yelled at me over the phone and that left me traumatized because of my ex husband’s former abuse. I was trying to look for a different rental but he had all the listings in the area for apartments.  We had to move out of our current place and unable to find a new place to live I had to make a heart breaking decision by sending my children to live with my sister in NY. I was already suffering from trauma from our former landlord and after this new incident I am broken.  I realized that I am not strong enough to raise my children and I need to get help physically, mentally, and emotionally.  I am not going to let these people destroy our family.  I want to fight and get better.  God will do his work own part by punishing them for their actions. I believe that what goes around comes around.   I no longer want to live in anger and resentment. I promised myself that I am going to back to work and make my parents proud.

Unfortunately, my business commercial boiler cannot be used to due it 20+ age.  By not going to work for 2-3 years, I drained out our savings even though my business is doing well. It costs $20,000 dollar to replace the boiler.  I have no way of getting a loan at this moment.  It is a dry cleaning business so without a boiler we cannot operate.  I am so scared to death because going back to work and getting better was my way to get my twins back.  I have raised them through so much difficulties and I need them as much as they need me.  I love them so much.  I don’t want my children to think that I sent them away for good.  I want them back. I have dated anyone since my divorce because I wanted to be 100% their for my children. I am currently living in a hotel with my two dogs.  I am trying to look for a new place asap so my children can visit us during the weekends.

ANYTHING will help.

Thank you.

A Desperate Cry for Help From a Single Mother in Crisis

As a single mother of two, I am facing an unimaginable crisis. my life was turned upside down when I lost my job due to my daughter’s severe illness, which has also taken a toll on my health. With a surgery scheduled this month, I’m consumed with worries about providing for my children’s basic needs. My teenager desperately needs new clothes, while my severely disabled daughter requires a safe and reliable way to school and specialized care. The situation is further complicated by the fact that our car has become a death trap, and I’ve fallen victim to work-at-home scams, leaving me without a stable income.

With school starting in about 3 weeks or so, time is of the essence. i urgently need a reliable car for transportation, school clothes for my teenager, a legitimate work-at-home opportunity, and nurse care for my daughter during my recovery, which is expected to last 4-8 weeks or longer. The weight of these responsibilities is crushing me, and I’m desperate for help. Your generosity would be a lifeline for my family, providing us with stable and hope we desperately need. If you can offer any assistance, please text me or send money to my Paypal.me account. My phone is  720-773-0830. Any contribution will bring us closer to a brighter future. I’ve done a bit of research on cars, reliable cars seem to start around  $5000 or more. Thank you for considering my plea. paypal.me/Damareen

RENT AND SUPPORT URGENTLY NEEDED, FOR SINGLE MOM OF 4

Desperate for Stability and Support

Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a deep need for help.

My life has been shattered in ways I never thought possible. I am a divorcee in the UK with four children. After my husband betrayed me and married the godmother of one of my children, everything I had worked for crumbled. I lost my company, which is now listed in the Gazette, and I am drowning in debt. Despite my tireless efforts to find stable employment, I have had no luck.

Since we lost our home, we have been forced to move between around 23 different short-let apartments. The council had been helping us with temporary accommodations, but our current landlord informed us that they have not been paid. During the riots, we were left outside, desperately begging for a place to stay. The council managed to extend our stay for just one more week, but they have now sent us a letter saying they are withdrawing all support.

I have managed to find an organization that is helping me with a change of status application at the Home Office, but this has not solved our immediate problems. Every day, I watch my family face this humiliating situation, and it breaks my heart. With school starting soon, I am filled with shame because I haven’t been able to buy uniforms for my children. They deserve so much better, and I feel like I’m failing them.

I am at the end of my rope. I am tired of asking for help and exhausted from the constant struggle. This is the last bit of pride I have left, and it’s hard to ask for help when you don’t see my tears or feel the weight of my despair. I am desperate for stability so that I can finally provide a safe and stable home for my children. We need a permanent place to live so I can focus on rebuilding our lives, finding steady work, or even restarting my business.

Any support or assistance you can offer would mean more to us than you can imagine. I am pleading for a chance to regain our footing and give my children a better future. Thank you for considering my situation and for any help you can provide.

Single Mom Needs Your Help After Moving and Family Court Expenses!

Dear compassionate supporters,

I am Bridgette, a single mother to an incredible (almost) 8-year-old boy. I find myself in a difficult situation and am reaching out for your help. Struggling without any child support, I have been facing financial hardships while striving to ensure the well-being of my son. To provide a better environment for him, I made the tough decision to move closer to my family, impacting my finances significantly.

My son’s 8th birthday on August 11th and the start of 2nd grade on August 20th are approaching, and I am urgently in need of school supplies, clothes, and shoes for the upcoming school year. Your generous donation will not only assist with this but also in covering bills and providing essential groceries. Each contribution, regardless of size, will undeniably make a substantial difference in our lives.

Additionally, I recently endured a challenging legal battle in family court to secure custody of my son. The emotional and financial toll of this process has been overwhelming, and I am sincerely seeking assistance during this trying time.

I understand that times are hard for everyone, and I am truly grateful for any support that you can offer. Your kindness and compassion will not go unnoticed, and I will be forever thankful for your generosity.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and considering donating to support us in our time of need.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Bridgette
