Help Rebuild My Father’s Legacy: A Battle Against Unfairness and Loss

Im asking for $75.000 In 2017, I made a promise to my dying father that I would be there for him in his final years. He was suffering from cancer, and I was homeless. He asked me to move in with him, and I agreed. We spent three years together, helping him through his final days. But after he passed away, the struggles didn’t stop. In fact, they only grew harder. The Fire and Loss Six months after my father’s passing, I woke up to the worst nightmare I could imagine: my home was on fire. I fought through the flames to escape, burnt my hands but the damage was severe. While the house was still salvageable, I had no insurance, the fire was started by my fiends make-up lights fire men told me it was  caused by an electrical short and I was already in financial distress. I had plans to rebuild, to restore the home and honor my father’s memory. A Town That Turned Its Back However, I quickly learned that the town where I had lived my entire life wasn’t going to make it easy for me. Despite my father’s long-standing contributions to the community, including donating thousands of his art prints to the Alberta Summer Games and having his work displayed in the governor’s residence, the town refused to let me rebuild. They claimed the house was unsafe, even though it was perfectly sound. For the next two years, I fought with every ounce of strength I had just to survive. Lost Opportunities and Intimidation I tried to buy a piece of land nearby, but when the town got wind of it, they threatened the owner with bulldozing his house if he sold it to me. I was left with no options. A friend kindly offered me a fifth wheel to put on the property while I worked to rebuild, but again, the town intervened. They told me I couldn’t live there, threatening my elderly neighbor, who was simply helping me with power, that she would face charges if she continued. They even went as far as condemning my father’s home and bulldozing it down to the ground, erasing a legacy that meant so much to me and so many others. A Community’s Disrespect This wasn’t just about a house; it was about a legacy. My father was a provincial artist who was beloved by many. His art brought people together and created lasting memories. I am not a drug addict or a criminal. I’m a crossdresser, and sadly, that seemed to be enough of a reason for some people in this town to treat me with disdain. It was obvious that I wasn’t wanted there.  by some of the town folk A Call for Help Now, I’m turning to you. I need your help to rebuild not just a house, but a home, a legacy, and the life my father and I dreamed of. The struggles I’ve faced have been overwhelming, but I am determined to honor my father’s memory and restore what was unjustly taken from me. If you can, please donate to help me rebuild my father’s home. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing my story with others who may be able to help would mean the world to me. How You Can Help  If you’re unable to donate, any support you can offer—whether through sharing this post or offering advice—would be deeply appreciated. Together, we can help make sure my father’s legacy is never forgotten and that the home he worked so hard to create will rise again. Thank you for your kindness, your time, and your support. Closing: With heartfelt gratitude,

Mark bell

  • My mother past away from a stomach maligner tumor at the age on 45  I believe I will facing a similar fate.

For example:

  • “I am seeking to raise funds for [specifics, e.g., land purchase, building materials, labor costs, etc.].”

Retired Disabled School Teacher Needs Mortgage Assistance

My name is Verdell, and I am a 64 year old, disabled, retired teacher, who occasionally works as a substitute for the West Contra Costa Unified School District Richmond, CA. (WCCUSD)  I work for the district to help subsidize my income, however, there is a cap on the amount of money I am allowed to make each year due to my disability. I have had a right knee replacement, and a left hip replacement.  The knee replacement has not healed well and causes constant pain.

The Covid-19 pandemic caused many issues for me.  I have a duplex with two units.  I rented one unit to a male Section 8 recipient with a young daughter.  The daughter had recently lost her mother and she therefore began living with her dad.  They lived there several years but soon the daughter moved out because the father began letting other men move into the home and she did not feel safe.  Also there was drug use going on.  Eventually the people that moved into the apartment forced the Section 8 recipient out of his own home.  I now had squatters that had to be evicted. They took the wires out of the heater and let the dog poop on the floor in the living room.  There was no electricity or water in the unit. They were stealing electricity to run a generator, from the neighbors. I hired a lawyer to help me evict the squatters.  I was able to get a payment plan from the lawyer.  The process took 5 months and I did not receive ant rent for that unit for 5 months.  The eviction took place March 3, 2024.  The apartment was trashed and destroyed.  The wood floor was damaged and buckled and many of the doors were burnt or kicked in.  The rehabilitation of the unit took an additional 4 months and I had to move into the unit as I worked on it.

The second unit was rented to a mother and her daughter.  Soon the husband moved in and their two sons.  One of the sons had two daughters that moved in as well.  The father assulted me because he did not want me in the unit to complete an inspection and that resulted in a restraining order against him.  The father was rude and disrespectful to me during their stay.  The father was running a car repair shop in the unit which resulted in the neighbors complaining of the traffic and the filth around the unit.  The City of Richmond was also complaining of the multiple broken down car, unregistered car, and car parts all over the property.  After many requests for the tenants to comply with the conditions of their lease, the neighbors began serving me with affidavits of complaints for the destruction of property in the neighborhood.  I had to evict them as well with the assistance of the lawyer I hired.  In court on January 12, 2024, the Judge gave them an additional 4 months to live rent free.  They were to move out April 31, 2024.  From November 1, 2023 until April 31, 2024 I did not receive any rent from that unit.  The unit was completely destroyed and infested with roaches, even though I had a rodent control service which was not allowed to go into the unit to spray.  The process was a nightmare.

Paying the mortgage and the bills for the duplex without receiving any rent, hiring a lawyer, and completely rehabilitating the property was difficult and costly.  I completely exhausted my savings and spent all the money I made on my job.  I was able to keep afloat through October 31, 2024, but after that I have fallen behind on my mortgage for November 2024.  Since I will not be able to return to work until January 2025, I will not be able to make payment for the mortgage in December 2024 either.  At that point I will be heading toward foreclosure because I will be unable to catch up.

I need help paying the mortgage and paying the lawyer fees. I seriously try to be self reliant.  I do not like to ask for help.  However, my back is against the wall and I am having a difficult time facing the future.  Who would have thought that helping others with young children would end up with me losing my home.  I am asking for $10,000 to help me catch up on my mortgage and to help me pay for the lawyer.  Thank you for listening and reading this post.  Thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to give.

You may forward any payments to:   paypalme/simontatum

Please help us pay off our mortgage

Hello, I’m a father of two wonderful boys who deserve a joyful and carefree childhood. My wife and I are struggling to keep up with our monthly bills and mortgage. She had to leave her job after our second son was born, and finding new work has been challenging. Meanwhile, I’m working in a stressful, toxic environment, facing an ever-increasing workload and feeling pressured to accept whatever comes my way. Losing this job would mean risking our home.

We dream of starting a small business selling toys, but we can’t take that step until we’re free from the constant worry of losing our house. Our goal is to pay off the remaining $125,000 on our mortgage, so we can begin building our dream without the weight of financial stress. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you!

Mortgage Foreclosure

A little insight. My sons and I moved in with my parents in 2001. My youngest son was still in school and my oldest had just started working. My oldest son quickly found a job and moved in with a houseful of friends.

My dad was diagnosed with COPD and was needing more care than my mom could give him. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2005 the year my dad died. I stayed with my mom to help her out. My youngest was finishing high school. I spent the next few years working part time, helping with the bills. Things were good, bills were paid, everything rolled along.

In 2006 my moms health was deteriorating. Physically she was OK, but mentally it was obvious she was slipping further into the disease. It was also the year the business my son worked for closed their stores across the country. He had no job, and he decided to move back home until he found another job. It wasn’t long after he moved back in that he told me he wasn’t feeling well, but wouldn’t tell me what was wrong. It didn’t take much time and I ended up taking him to the emergency room. The pain had become intolerable. Testicular cancer it was. I needed to stop working, even part time. I had a mom with Alzheimer’s, a son with cancer, and another son living at home. I became the full time care giver for my family. Money was tight with only one income, but we managed. A year later, after chemo, medications, radiation etc. my sons cancer was gone. Thank God! He went back to work. The next few years were smooth, money was still tight, but we made it work

In 2012 my youngest decided the Navy would be his career, and it ended up being a good fit. He met a lovely girl who happened to be stationed on the same base. They got married in 2016. My DIL found out she was pregnant, and went Navy Reserve that same year. She moved back to her home town to be closer to her family, and my son was sent to Bahrain.  At the end of the year she had a beautiful baby girl. The Navy was great and got my son home for her birth.

Spring of 2017 my DIL and granddaughter moved in with me. It was nice having extra help with my mom, and wonderful having my granddaughter here. My mom had become an empty shell mentally and physically. She was now confined to a wheelchair, no longer knew anyone, or where she was. In the fall the decision was made to out her in a hospice facility. She hadn’t slept more than a few minutes at a time for three days, and I was right next to her.  I was tired and she needed medication for a UTI, regular pain killers and sedatives to keep her comfortable.  We got her room ready for her to come back home. My oldest stayed home from work to help me get her room set up for when she came home. I came back from the hospice facility after getting her settled, and my son and I stood on the porch discussing the next step. He left to go bowling with friends. Little did I know, that would be the last time I would see him alive. On his way home he collapsed in his car and veered off the road. There was no accident, no trauma. The coroner discovered he had the heart of an 80 year old. The chemo he had years earlier had probably caused the damage. It was devastating for me. That isn’t the natural order of life, a child shouldn’t leave the world before the parent. Two days later my mom passed away.

Very soon after youngest moved to his next duty station stateside, and of course my DIL and granddaughter moved with him. I was a bit panicked I was in the house alone and had no job. Luckily insurance and some saving kept me paying the bills while I looked for work. Finding a job was an issue. It’s hard to find a job being 60, not in the working field for ten years, and somewhat disabled by spondylolisthesis. With no job, the pandemic hit. I basically ran out of money to pay the mortgage. It was OK there was a mortgage moratorium. I paid when I could.

Pandemic over, I was lucky  found a job quickly and went to work for a company in Senior Care. I was now taking care of chronically, and terminally ill seniors. In 2022 I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Surgery, radiation and medication has so far kept me cancer free. More time off and less income again.

Tried to get the mortgage taken care of through a modification, but what they wanted was more than I could do. Looked for someone to help, refinance or negotiate with the lender, something to get me out of a behind mortgage. Found someone that had no complaints, no bad reviews etc. I trusted them, but shouldn’t have. They took me for some money and did nothing. I was then desperate with a looming foreclosure. Quickly put an end to that relationship and I found another company that came with a recommendation that had no problem helping me get refinanced. Started the process then found out damage the company that scammed me made. I guess I was stupid, naive, or desperate when finding the first company. Foreclosure looming and no way to stop it.

My home has very recently been purchased by a company that flips houses. I would like to make them an offer to buy it back. My father built it in the 60’s and it has been our family home since then.

It is a big ask, but if I could get my home back with a good offer to them, it would be grand. It is possible that my DIL, granddaughter and grandson may need to move back in with me if my sons current deployment is extended. At this point I am not sure where I am going to go if I have to move. I don’t qualify to buy another home, and not sure with my ruined credit I could even rent an apartment. I am needing about $350,000.  It is an over the top ask, but I am always hopeful.

Thank you and God Bless!

Mortgage Help fired after surgery

I never imagined that at 60, I’d be looking for another job. My name is Kay and I’ve had many jobs over the years. I poured my heart and soul into my last assistant manager position because it was what I had been doing as a manager for 14 years before I moved across the country. I learned a lot from facility manager. I believed my dedication and years of experience were appreciated. I was the assistant manager and filled in for the manager on her days off so that meant that my hours were slightly less than fulltime. I also filled in at other facilities in the chain and worked at a new facility until a permanent manager was hired.

After working there for nearly two years I started experiencing abdominal pains. When they persisted I made an appointment with my doctor. She referred me to a specialist and was sent for a scan. The specialist told me that I had a large cyst on one ovary. She was fairly sure was benign but that it needed to be removed since that was the source of my pain. She said that since I was 60 it was a very good idea to do a total hysterectomy. It was a straightforward procedure, with a standard recovery time of six weeks. I was otherwise healthy and expected to bounce back quickly, return to my routines, and carry on with my job as if nothing had changed.

After five weeks of the mandatory six-week medical leave I was feeling quite well. I called to let the manager know that I could return the following week. I was told that I had been replaced and they didn’t need me anymore. The news hit like a ton of bricks. It hurt so badly because I had delayed my surgery for 7 days. It had originally been scheduled for the same time as the manager’s vacation and she expected me to cover her while she was off. She pleaded with me to not leave her without coverage. So I agreed to reschedule the surgery. I figured that if I had been dealing with the pain for more than a month then I could make on more week.

As a 60 year single woman, the news was devastating. That left me struggling to keep my head above water. Unemployment compensation was not an option for me because me overall hours were less than fulltime. My state does not cover part time workers. At my age finding a new job was a daunting challenge. The job market, often unforgiving, seemed even more hostile. Finding a new job felt like an impossible task. I had skills, yes, but employers were looking for younger, faster people.  The fear of rejection and the uncertainty of the future weighed heavily on my mind.

My mortgage is a constant reminder of my financial vulnerability. I decided to try gig work but it’s not enough to get caught up. The thought of losing my home is a terrifying prospect and I don’t even have the money to relocate.

The hardest part has been keeping my dignity intact. There are days when the fear and self-doubt feel overwhelming, when I lie awake wondering how I’ll get through this month, this week, even this day. I’m learning, painfully, that starting over at 60 is a lonely road. But each morning, I remind myself that I’m still here, still standing. It’s a small comfort, but maybe that’s enough for now.

I desperately need a lifeline and a $4000 financial boost would pay two months mortgage to help me get back on my feet. I would like to start my own online business which will give me purpose and meaning with a steady income. I have made a couple of sales so I know it can work. If I can just get my mortgage caught up, then I can advertise to get more customers.

Please help the Thompson Family achieve financial freedom.

Greetings,

My name is Mikel, I am a proud father of two beautiful girls Ridley and Riley, and married to the love of my life Joylyn. I am currently active duty military and my wife manages a coffee shop. My in-laws live with us as well in an attempt to firstly keep the family close but also my father in law has stage four Parkinson’s and they are on a fixed income being elderly and not able to work.

Joy and I make relatively decent money combined but not for 4 adults and 2 children and with the economy the way it is everything is expensive and only seems to be getting more expensive. Recently I had to take orders away from my family which means I will be living somewhere else while they stay back home of course. This only adds to the stress and financial burden. My goal is to be able to either pay off or significantly pay down our mortgage. Without that payment we would essentially be financially free lifting the burden and stress on my family tremendously.

At the suggestion of a friend of mine they suggested trying out this site. I figured what do I have to loose right? I have never asked for anyone for anything in my life before call it pride or just stubbornness either way if this is a path to ensuring my family always has a home then I would be insane not to at least give it a shot.

I read an article one time about a family that used crowd funding to become financially free any then shared his experience to then help others achieve the same as his family did. He said if the country could come together and everyone helped each other we would all be free. If 100,000 people each donated $10 your already at a million.

My goal is to reach $850,000 to pay my house off entirely. It’s such a large ask it’s embarrassing but you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

To anybody who potentially sees this and decided they want to help. From the bottom of my heart thank you.

Hello. My name is Angela and my family needs help bringing our mortgage current. To bring it current is $6011. If I could just get enough to cover this months payment it is $2051. We’ve lived in our house almost 27 years and have raised three great kids here. We’ve been married 31 years. I truly don’t want to lose our home. We’re in an area where our property taxes have increased significantly and we were keeping up but then everything has gone up in price such as food, insurance,  and all necessities. I know everyone is struggling.  If I can get the help we need I have no problem paying it forward. Thank you for reading.

Just need a little help after a couple of hard months.

Hello,

It feels weird to ask for help when things in the world are going the way they are, but here I am.

I am a woman of 45; I live with my 78 (Mom)& 79 (Dad) yr old parents and my 55 yr old brother. I am my mother’s primary caregiver after a severe stroke; my father is still doing pretty well; he can’t hear too well and is a bit stubborn, but he is good. They are both retired, and my brother lives here because he had a stroke 2 years ago, but he has recovered well.

So my brother and I have part-time jobs, he because of his stroke, me because of being my Mom’s caretaker.

Starting in August, we lost very suddenly and unexpectedly one of our furry kids. The vet bill was a lot, but we were able to pay it. Then, within 2 weeks, both of our vehicles broke down. We were able to get one fixed, but the other is still not working; this put a considerable dent in our funds, and at the beginning of this month, we had a pipe burst; our home is old, so we had a pipe decide to give up. The plumbing put us in the bind of me asking strangers for help. It took everything to fix it and then some. My Dad had to get a small personal loan to pay for it. So for October, we are over-extended, and the mortgage is due at the beginning of November. It will be tight for a few months because we went through our savings (all 4 of us).

I don’t want/need a ton of money, but enough to maybe cover the mortgage for one month would be absolutely incredible, as that would allow my parents, especially, to build up a little savings again. If you’re curious, that total would be $806. But any help would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate your time in reading our story/request. If I am lucky enough to receive donations, thank you in advance.

Fired after concussion: PLEASE HELP me avoid losing my home and pets

My name is Caroline, and I am reaching out for help during an incredibly challenging time. In 2023, I was laid off from my previous job, which was a difficult setback. However, I worked hard to find new employment and finally secured a job that I was excited about. Unfortunately, not long after starting my new position, I suffered a concussion. This injury not only impacted my health but also cost me that new job, leaving me in a precarious financial situation.

When I suffered the concussion, I immediately noticed its effect on my ability to perform daily tasks, let alone work. The symptoms were severe—constant headaches, dizziness, and difficulty concentrating. I tried to push through and continue working, but my performance was affected, and my employer ultimately decided to let me go. Losing my job in the middle of recovering from a concussion has been devastating.

What makes my situation even more difficult is that because I was laid off in 2023 and briefly found a new job before being fired due to my injury, I am no longer eligible for unemployment benefits. I had relied on those benefits during the months I was searching for work, but now that I no longer qualify, I have no steady income to support myself. After borrowing money from family and friends while unemployed, I am struggling to pay my mortgage and essential bills like utilities and groceries, and caring for my 2 year old dog and cat.

Despite my health challenges, I have been actively searching for new employment, but my recovery has slowed down the process. It’s been incredibly difficult to balance job searching while dealing with the lingering effects of the concussion. I’m doing everything in my power to get back on my feet, but I need assistance to make it through this rough patch.

I’m asking for your help to cover my living expenses, especially my mortgage and basic bills, while I recover and continue searching for work. Losing my home is a real fear right now, and I’m fighting every day to avoid that outcome. I am 27 years old and bought my first home in 2021.  Your generosity would provide me with the stability I need to focus on healing and finding a new job without the constant stress of impending financial disaster.

I would be deeply grateful for any support you can provide. Your donation will make a significant difference in my life, and once I’m back on my feet, I plan to pay this kindness forward. Thank you for considering my situation and for any help you’re able to offer. My monthly bills and mortgage are around $2,000, so anything would help, even if it’s just $1.

Mortgage foreclosure

I’m handicap and they are foreclosing on our mortgage. Have a small dog, a 1 year kitten and a cat. My husband is over 70 years old and struggles with depression. My husband is Robert Boucher and we have been together for 40 years and the properties are in his name.  I had two properties and I rented out to homeless peoples in the secondary property.

Had a lot of complains, so got in the process of getting them out. They refuse to leave, Gives them money  to leave, and they didn’t leave. Needed money so I rented two rooms in my principal home. Hoping I could get thought my money problems. But it was worse, they didn’t pay me for 2 years, couldn’t keep up with bills, that why they are foreclosing on mortgage.

The renters were on drugs, they cut gables on my power chair and my stair lift. they push me down the stairs. I been begging at grocery store (Walmart and no-frills) for foods.

I just wanted to help homeless peoples because everyone ignore them, now I know why.

They were stilling my money my food, I understood they had noting. And me mother though me if you have a hold bread, break in haft to share it. My foundation with mother was GOD. She always saying God will always provide. It said in the Bible, they that wait a pound the lord shall renew there strength, they shall mount up with wings like an eagle they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and never felt, That what the Bible says.

I had a stoke 7 years ago, all my right side was affected, I had to learn how to use the left hand  to do every thing, also my right leg to walk and can’t see good in my right eye.

My pets worries because they afraid that I will have to get ride of them. Something I don’t want to do my hear feel for them.

We are old peoples and don’t want to be living on the streets.

They damage the secondary property by taking out the cupper pipes, put holds in the walls and brought cockroaches in the property, took the flooring out.

My pets are anxious about the possibility of having to give them up, which breaks my heart. We are older and fear the prospect of living on the streets. My husband often tells me that I have a big heart and a wonderful spirit, always wanting to help others. We desperately need assistance by October 25, 2024, or we risk ending up homeless.

We would like to keep this place but we are over $700,000 in debt

Help A Family Save their Home and means to Provide for Themselves

Greetings I am an IATSE film crew worker currently in grave danger of losing my home and my car.  For those not familiar, I am what is referred to as a Below-The-Line worker in the film/production industry. Like most IATSE workers, I have been devastatingly affected by the Hollywood strikes and the state of the industry over the past two years. For the last decade and a half, I have earned a reasonable middle-class living working in the film industry as a worker bee. I have always been someone who plays by the rules and does things the right way. I have worked hard, lived modestly, have contributed to my community, and other charities when times were good financially. However, at this point, I am on the verge of falling further into a financial sinkhole that I may never recover from for the rest of my life. My partner and I have a three-month-old baby and work/gigs have been few and far between for both of us throughout this turbulent time. I do not live or seek to live an extravagant lifestyle. I have a very modest home in the city of Atlanta and a very modest car to get me from point A to point B. Atlanta is a true commuter city with less than ideal-public transportation. Additionally, when I work on a project I am sometimes required to drive to different locations to perform job-related tasks. In the event of getting independent gigs that are not related to the film industry in Atlanta Georgia as a whole, having a car is a necessity for earning a living.
For the better part of a year and a half, I have completed over 400 applications to companies both statewide and nationwide. I have applied on numerous job boards during this time. Something that many of my fellow IATSE film crew workers will attest to is that corporations/companies/firms are reluctant to hire people from the film industry, even though many of us have decades of experience. One of the reasons I’ve been given through numerous rejection communications is the fear of companies that film crew people will up and leave as soon as a Production comes calling. The industry has suffered a cataclysmic shift following the strikes of 2023 and many film crew workers are seeking to move away from the production industry if they can. I am continually applying, seeking work, speaking with recruiters, attending job fairs, etc. I am not sitting back, waiting for the film industry to rebound. However, as I have mentioned before, I am in grave jeopardy of losing my most valuable asset at this point, which is my home. Please I am asking the universe and generous empathetic people out there to aid me in my time of need. I need  $15,000 to save my home and my car. That would be a huge blessing to me and my family as we head into the holidays.
