Thank you for reading my post.  I am writing to ask for help in paying down my mortgage.  Paying it off would be better but I don’t want to ask for too much.  I am 55 and a father of 3.  After going through a brutal divorce that financially drained me between the lawyers and the ex, I was left in a major financial hole. So trying to get out of that hole, and to build back to a place that I can live comfortably and still maybe be able to pass a little to my kids is a struggle.  Paying down the mortgage would help free up some funds to be able to help pay for their college, rebuild some of my retirement and pay down some debt.   After going through the worst 3 years of my life back in 2010 with a divorce. I spent the time after that trying to provide for my children and to give them a good and happy childhood. I was told that my children would be fine going through the divorce, they are resilient. Yes, they were/are but it still scarred them, and I am saddened that they had to live through that.  In doing so I have spent down my savings and then dip into my retirement.  So now with 2 in college and 1 on the doorstep, money is very thin.  I am trying my best to help them out but with the price of things going up so much over these past years it has been a struggle.  The time between then (2010) and now has passed so fast, like a blink of an eye and trying to rebuild saving and retirement and paying down debt I have hit a lot of bumps in the road between then and now and I was not able to rebuild like I wanted to.  So, I am asking with much humbleness, humility, and gratefulness for a little help in getting me back to the point in my life that I thought I would be.  Back to living the dream and not the nightmare.

Hello everyone. I am finding it hard to believe that i am on this website. This is my last resort as i am going through a rough patch. I am currently behind on my mortgage and car payments. If i dont make any payments by 1st of april my car is going to repo. I am drowning in debts. I am looking for a job but i dont even have the money to pay for my 1yr old daycare. I am only able to pay for my 4 yr old daycare at the moment. I really need the help. I have no family here and no longer have a husband neither.

I am asking for financial help with unsecured debt. Unfortunately I have about 70,000 dollars in personal loans and credit cards. The payments total 1300 per month making the minimums. I have a mortgage payment for another 3 full years for 1500 per month. After making these payments there is not much money left over every month which is how I have amassed the unsecured debt. I keep hanging on thinking that things will be much better once my home is paid for. My home needs many repairs that I just cant afford right now. The paint is peeling off the ceilings and window casings. I don’t invite friends to my home, I just don’t want them to know the condition of my house. We discovered termites in our home and I will have to have an exterminator to treat it soon. Last year the tile in the shower began coming off. I had no choice but to repair the bathroom which became another debt. I am employed working full time. I have to pay for our health and dental insurance which is very costly every month. I had to retire from my job before I was financially ready to.  I have a pension and social security and, generally, am able to get by with a part-time job I have been able to get.

However, I have been met with a temporary setback due to the simultaneous breakdown of my furnace and water heater.   I am in arrears on my mortgage and am facing a possible foreclosure.

The costs to replace my furnace and water heater totaled $9,100 (furnace $7,500 and water heater $1600).    This money would have ensured I was able to pay my mortgage on time, but I am now two months past due while still needing to pay my current (March) payment.

The amount of money I am asking for is $7,200.  That will clear up my mortgage past due and let me return to creating my sinking funds for the upkeep of my home and repairs and create my emergency fund using my existing sources of income.

I am so very grateful for any contribution you can make to help me keep my home.  This help will relieve me of the stress and worry that has been keeping me company since my equipment broke down.  I appreciate you more than you know, and wish all the best for you and your loved ones.

We are a family of 5 being forced out of our 9-year rental by a new property manager who decided to increase our rent beyond what we can afford on our fixed income. Due to the rental income requirements, we have not been able to qualify for more than a 2-bedroom apartment.  Of course, this is doable and is done by people every day, but as a 63-year-old man, it hurts when you have to force your special needs child and 2 other daughters to cram into one bedroom with one bath for our entire family. My current plan would be to offer to pay several (3-6) months’ rent in advance to get someone to at least give us a shot at moving into a comparable 4-bedroom home within our budget of $1850/month.  Thus, I am asking or begging (God, I hate that word) for $12K to help solve my housing dilemma.

I am a single mother that has raised two amazing daughters single-handedly. I am a very prideful person and really don’t know how to ask for help. I have always worked and I do currently have a job, but honestly; I live pay check to pay check. Earlier this month, I had a snowball of unexpected expenses that needed to be taken care of immediately. I ended up having to use my paycheck that was supposed to take care of my mortgage with; to get my car fixed, get a new washer (mine went out) and help my daughter with some school expenses for college. Hi, I am a wife, a mother to 4 kids(2yrs to 16yrs), a caregiver. My husband has various health issues(Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, Allergic BronchoPulmonary Aspergillosis, Acute exacerbation of bronchiectasis, Elevated IgE levels, Infection due to Burkholderia, Klebstelle Infection, Moderate Malnutrition, and Pancreatic insufficiency due to Cystic Fibrosis) and recently has been in and out of the hospital due to these on going medical issues. I’m at a loss and this is my last hope to save my family. My husband was involved in a nasty motorcycle accident that almost killed him. 15 year old girl without a license decided to take a drive and hit him head on. Sent him flying through the air smashing his head multiple times and breaking lot of bones along the way. I have been the only one working and it hasn’t been enough to keep up anymore.
