My name is Stanley Phiri, and I am a 53 year old man from South Africa. I am writing to you with deep respect and humility as I humble share my current situation. I am a father of 3 kids facing serious challenges that have significantly impacted my financial stability. I lost my job in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic after the Logistics company I worked for downsized operations. My wife of 16 years left me 2 years ago for another man as I could not provide enough for my family. Our 3 kids are currently living with me in our 2 bedroom rented apartment. Her new man could not allow her to bring the kids along. It is my responsibility as their father to provide for them.
Jobs are hard to come by. I do occasionally get piece/temporary jobs from time to time at different places and these are not guaranteed. Sometimes I go for months without one. At my mature age it is not easy to secure a permanent job especially in a country like ours where unemployment is at its highest. It is a struggle to adequately provide for my kids at the moment as these temporary jobs are not guaranteed. Our expenses for food, electricity, water and other utilities are forever piling up. Other expenses are school fees for kids, their transport to school and medical bills.
My humble request is for financial assistance in the amount of R120,000.00, approx USD$7300 to revive my Logistics business which I started in 2021 but could not continue due to financial constraints. I have 2 bakkies/pick-up trucks which are in need of urgent repairs. Parts are expensive to buy and getting these trucks back on the road will significantly change my life and that of my family and that of the 2 drivers who used to work for me. Unfortunately banks cannot give one a loan if you are not permanently employed and have turned down my applications. I come from a Logistics industry myself with over 25 years of working experience. It is an industry I’m very familiar with, the pros and cons.
I would appreciate any assistance from anyone to finance my business and change our life situation. I am committed to work hard and support my family.
