Urgent Help Needed for My Son’s Education

Dear Community,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Dilek, and I am a parent who is facing a challenging situation regarding my son’s education. I am reaching out to this compassionate community in the hopes of receiving some assistance.

Background: My son, Prince, is a bright and motivated young student. He dreams of pursuing higher education and making a positive impact on the world. Unfortunately, our family has encountered unexpected financial difficulties that are threatening his educational journey.

Financial Struggles:

Tuition Fees: The cost of tuition and textbooks has become overwhelming. Despite our best efforts, we are unable to cover these expenses on our own.

Living Expenses: Prince is attending Carleton University, and the cost of living in Ottawa is high. Rent, groceries, and transportation expenses are stretching our budget thin.

Technology Needs: With the shift to online learning, having a reliable laptop and internet connection is crucial. Unfortunately, we cannot afford the necessary technology upgrades.

Academic Stress: Prince is juggling part-time work, coursework, and family responsibilities. The stress is affecting his mental and physical health.

Dreams Deferred: He fears that without financial support, he may have to postpone or abandon his dreams of higher education.

Our Request: We are humbly asking for any assistance you can provide. Your generosity could make a significant difference in Prince’s life. Here’s how you can help:

Financial Donations: Even a small contribution can go a long way. Whether it’s covering textbooks, tuition, or living expenses, every dollar counts.

Scholarship Information: If you know of any scholarships, grants, or educational programs that Prince could apply for, please share them with us.

Moral Support: Your kind words and encouragement mean the world to us. Knowing that others care about Prince’s education gives us hope.

Promise of Gratitude: We promise to pay it forward. Once Prince achieves his educational goals, we will find ways to give back to the community and support others in need.

Thank you for taking the time to read our plea. If you can help or have any suggestions, please reach out to me via this platform.

We are eternally grateful for your compassion and support.

With heartfelt thanks, Dilek

Surviving Fund While on Sick Leave

Hello,

Thank you for helping. Any help will be greatly appreciated. My name is Isabelle. A kind and nice person who has worked hard her whole life but unfortunately at age 55, has accumulated no assets or any money at all.

One month ago I woke up one morning being unable to work. I have a medical condition in my shoulder. Fortunately, I work for a good company which covers the first month of salary for sick leave.

One month has gone by but I still cannot go back. It will take around two months for insurance money to come in. I need to survive for 2 months and have a high cost for apartment, car payments, depts, loans, food, and medical fees.

If you are rich and can find it in your heart to help me, it will be much appreciated.

I find it really sad to be in this situation at my age. It is even frightening.

Tears are running out of my eyes as I write this message.

As required, I created a pay pal me address : paypalme/isabellemasseQC

Braces, speechtherapy, credit cards, clothes, food …

Hi There,

I am a 49 yr old disables, devoted single mother of 2 beautiful children, 9 and 13.  Both my kids is need braces and my 13 year old has autism and needs speech therapy. The braces will extend the jaw lower and out, so that they will not have to suffer with debilatating migraines as an adult.  (Their father has the same problem,  but did not recieve the braces or surgery and now is in pain everyday since his early 20s.) My son also need speech therapy to help him better communicate. He has problems with his pragmatic speech. It causes him a lot of problems in his day to day. He enjoys being with people, but he lives a very isolated life thinking everyone hates him, because they dont understand what he is saying.  It has caused him to have life ending and suicidal thoughts since the age of 9. ☹

I live in a house with a good roommate who pays the mortgage and even helps with food, but I have to pay half the food, and everything else for the kids and myself. I used to be an environmentals, but then I had a nervous breakdown which changed everything. I had to stop working, close my business and claim banckruptcy. Since then I have had a very difficult life living with these mental illnesses and now for the past 5 yrs, Poverty. I can not count how many times I have gotten sick on foodbank food, while testing it before feeding my children. And now the credit companies are coming for their money that I dont even have for food. Dont get me wrong, I knew I would eventually not be able to afford all the credit but my options were stay with a man who was abusing us and cheating on me or move and be poor using credit to subsidize my childrens and my living exspenses. Thankfully the government garnishes some of their father wages, otherwise I would have ran out of credit a while ago. So now I also need help with paying off my credit cards and car. If you can help with any one of these or all if you are so inclined, I would be much appreciative.

speech therapy: $30,000.00

braces: $8000 x 2 for both kids. $16,000.00

credit cards:$ 30,ooo.oo

car: $28,000.00

total:$ 104,000.00

Side note: I am looking for a way to make a large amount of money to support my kids and me, but my health is unstable. I would like to learn about investing so i never have to ask for help again and instead I can pay it forward.

Thank you for considering my profile:

Single Mom with disabled son emergency help

Hi,

I am a single mom of a disabled adult son, we are in desperate need of help. My son has multiple disorders (developmental delay, tourettes, ocd, autism and a connective tissue disorder) and we are in wait to receive help from our provincial services for him (we were told a 6 month wait, meaning December 2024). But, I am unable to work due to 2 tumours being found in my body this May, we are still awaiting MRI for further diagnosis (in our province the average wait is 264 days for an mri). I did not have enough hours to qualify for employment insurance, and in this time have accumulated bills we need help paying. Part of why I didn’t qualify for employment insurance is because I also have ptsd from a major assault by my ex, ptsd from a severe surgical injury that changed my life (Ive had 3 major surgeries to correct damage and live with permanent damage from the injury).  I have severe depression and very severe anxiety. I cannot afford counseling as the cost is out of reach and I have no insurance.

Our power and water bill is 898.00, and will be cut off soon. Our gas bill is $550.00, and again will be cut off soon. We have no money for food, and have utilized the 2 times we could go to the food bank this month (which supplies 3 days worth of food per visit). We also owe the pharmacy $300.00 for my sons medications, which they were kind enough to release without payment up front. If he doesnt have those he cannot function at all. We are desperate now.

We applied to social services where we received a total of $255.00 for the month to help support my son’s needs.  This is nowhere near what we need to get through this challenging time.

My son is also facing surgery soon with a 2 month recovery, meaning I cannot work during that time as I’m his only caregiver. His father walked away from him when he was diagnosed at the age of 4.  While he is required to pay child support still, he intentionally withholds for months. We are in that position now, and the government has tried everything to get the support. We have no family to help, and have sold everything we possibly can to try to make an impact on the outstanding monies and keep ourselves fed.

I am not sure what else to do than to ask for the kindness of strangers to help us. We need 1400.00 to get the utilities paid, 300.00 to pay for my sons prescriptions and whatever else anyone is willing to contribute to help us fill our cupboards and freezer so we have food security.

I have included the paypalme link, and pray that help comes. Never had to do this before and hope someone can help us.

Help Fix My Car: Urgent Timing Chain Repair Needed

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out for help with my 2010 car, which I rely on daily for work. Despite its good condition, it has clocked 240,000 kilometers and now urgently needs a timing chain, VVT solenoids, a head gasket, and more.

The cost of labor and parts is estimated at $2,500, a sum I simply don’t have. My earnings just cover basic living expenses, and with existing family medical debts, I have no way to fund these repairs.

If this story touches you, please consider helping me with any amount. Every cent makes a difference, and I will be eternally thankful for your support.

Thank you so much.

Almost being Evicted

It really saddens me to have to come to this website as I never thought I’d be in this situation. However, my house recently got broken into and 20,000 dollars was stollen from our safe. Police were involved, however, nothing was solved as there were no cameras in place. It’s been about 3 months now, and I have not been able to pay my rent. That money was 5 years worth of saving as I did not have the opportunity to do college due to having a child at a young age. Although I know this is a long shot, and I understand it so, however I am really in need of 6,000 right now in order to be able to keep my house/pay my missed rent from the previous 3 months as well as help with my 7 year old son.  Again, I understand if this is a long shot as well as understand that thousands of other people that need help. However, this has truly been my rock bottom. Thank you to anyone who even just reads this – even if you don’t donate. I appreciate any  time people take reading my story.

Urgent Financial Aid to Secure Accommodation until LTB Hearing July 2024

I reached out to the insurance once again, desperately requesting accommodation by June 8, 2024, but to my dismay, they rejected my plea, leaving me in a dire situation.
I am in a critical situation, urgently seeking financial aid to secure accommodation until my hearing at Landlord Tenant and Board in July 2024. The insurance has left me without accommodation for the second time.
I could use one thousand five hundred to two thousand dollars to find temporary accommodation.
I am currently employed, but my income is low. I paid apartment insurance in case of flooding or loss of my accommodation, fire damage to my content would have replacement insurance did not honour their obligation,
Thank you in advance for your invaluable support and understanding in this challenging time.
On September 22, 2023, I was intentionally flooded out of the apartment I rented in Toronto, Ontario, to make me homeless. I have insurance, but they did not compensate me for accommodation. A lovely couple gave me a temporary place to stay for a while. That temporary place expires at the end of May 2024. I am trying to get back into the apartment, but the landlord, property manager, and lender are making it difficult for me to return. So, I am consulting with a lawyer to help me navigate the process back to the apartment, so I had to file T2 at the Landlord and Tenant Board, but the hearing is in July 2024.
Thank you,

Emergency Funding for a children’s home

Over the last several years I have single handedly supported orphans in Nairobi, Kenya. With a single pay cheque income, I have been able to share the little that I have earned with the vulnerable children in Africa. The heavy rains and floods that have hit Nairobi unfortunately have left our children homeless. This has made it difficult for me to keep up. This is why I’m here hoping for good Samaritans to help support the cause and partner with me. Your generosity will go a long way.

My passion for helping and supporting the vulnerable children stems from my own experience of losing my parents at a young age. Hopeless, confused and unsure where the next meal will come from, I relied on the kindness of good Samaritans who took me in and helped me get on my feet. I have empathy towards the orphans because children are innocent and shouldn’t have to go through the pain of losing their parents. However, these circumstances are inevitable. I have since found purpose in helping and coming alongside these children who need a safe place to call their own home.

When I saw the sorrow and hopelessness on the faces of children who at times have to go to bed hungry, go to school barefoot and oftentimes be separated from their siblings, I made a commitment that when I was able to help financially, I would start a home where children who have lost their loved ones can call home. I did not want to call it an orphanage as I did not want the children to always be reminded of their state. I wanted them to feel loved and take pride in having a safe place to call their home. A home where they can celebrate birthdays, share joyful successful moments like learning how to read, share laughter, enjoy a meal together and grow together.

In 2018, I traveled to Kenya ,Africa for my Grandfather’s funeral. After the funeral, I had the privilege of visiting a home in the rural community of Nairobi, Kenya. There I met children who were struggling with a shortage of food, clothing and no place to stay. When I saw their beautiful gentle faces, My heart was deeply touched and I knew I had to do something right away.I took it upon myself to start sponsoring them by providing them with food, clothing and shelter.

Over the last year, the number of children has increased from seven to fifteen in our care. This has led to having more than six children in each room because the home is becoming overcrowded. Having done this single handedly, I feel compelled to reach out for support. I am seeking help towards expanding and renovating the house that was recently flooded due to heavy rains that Kenya has experienced over the last couple of months. My goal is to raise $75000 to help with renovating and expanding the home, buy school supplies, provide food, school fees and clothing. Your help and support will go a long way.

Thank you for partnering with me in bringing hope and joy into the lives of these beautiful children.

Together we can help make it a better place for the vulnerable children to live in. Thank you for your generosity.

Business humbly in need

To whom it may concern,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Shawn Lee, and I am the proud owner of S & S Custom tattoo studio, a business dedicated to the art of tattooing and inspiring the next generation of tattoo artists. I am reaching out to you today with a humble request for financial assistance, as I find myself in a difficult and somewhat embarrassing position.
In December 2019, I made the decision to expand my business by purchasing another tattoo shop. This move was intended to improve our location and increase our client base. However, I soon discovered that the previous owner had not filed taxes since 2015, and I am now in the process of rectifying this situation. Additionally, I recently learned that my own accountant had failed to file taxes for us since 2017, resulting in an unexpected debt of $22,000 for the services of a new accounting firm to address these issues.
The impact of these financial burdens, combined with the $120,000 in costs incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic (due to 7.5 months of the unexpected lockdown and time closed) and an additional $150,000 in government debt, has put an immense strain on my business and personal finances. My credit score has suffered, and I am struggling to keep up with both business and personal bills.
On a personal note, I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and large fiber neuropathy, which has made it increasingly challenging for me to work full-time. Despite these obstacles, I remain committed to my business and to the talented young artists who are part of our team. For the past 15 years, I have poured my heart and soul into this studio, and I am proud to see my staff’s dedication and drive to ensure its continued success.
To overcome these challenges and secure the future of S & S Custom tattoo studio, I am seeking $150,000 in funding. This amount will allow us to address the government debt, stabilize our finances, and continue providing a nurturing environment for the next generation of tattoo artists. My goal is to see this studio thrive for another 15 years and beyond, fostering creativity and artistic expression in our community.
I understand the gravity of my request, and it is with great humility and respect that I reach out for your support. Your assistance would not only help me overcome this financial hurdle but also ensure that my staff and I can continue to inspire and serve our clients with the highest level of artistry and professionalism.
Thank you for considering my request. I am more than willing to provide any additional information or documentation that may be required. Your support would mean the world to me and to the talented artists at S & S Custom tattoo studio.
With sincere gratitude,
Shawn Lee

Widowed Senior Finally Asking For Help

Hello. My name is Terry.

First, let me take a moment to thank you for viewing my request. I appreciate you taking the time to consider helping me. I have never been one to ask for help, especially financially, but I have nowhere else to turn.

Let me tell you my story. I apologize in advance for the length of it but I want you to know exactly how things are since I am asking for your financial help.

I’m 66 years old and, like most people my age nowadays, I can’t afford to retire so I’m working full-time, living paycheck to paycheck.

Several years ago I was hit by a car while crossing the street. The impact sent me through the air to the other side of the street. The only thing I remember is suddenly being on my back on the other side of the street. The paramedics said if I had been 2 inches further I would have hit the curb and broken my back. As it was, I had a haematoma in my right leg and a permanent injury to my lower back.

In 2020, the job I had aggravated that injury to the point where I could no longer work. I went on medical employment insurance and my doctor said I may not be able to work again.

That same year, in November, my wife got sick and had to stop working. Her feet swelled up so bad, and she was in so much pain, that she could not walk. I was able to borrow a walker with a seat to push her to the bathroom and back. Doing that seemed to help my back and I was able to function better. However, my wife, misdiagnosed by our family doctor, did not get better. After a visit to Emergency, the doctor on call was able to find the problem. They flew her to a hospital 4 1/2 hours away. This was during COVID so I wasn’t allowed to go with her.

She went there on Sunday and died Tuesday night from complications. A blood clot (the real cause of her illness) moved to her lungs. Her blood pressure had dropped too low to perform surgery and, by the time that it improved, the clot had reached her lung and she was gone. The nurse was talking to me on the phone at the time. She said they had been trying to revive her for half an hour. She died 2 months after our 25th wedding anniversary.

I was in shock. I felt like my heart had been ripped out, like my life was over. The woman I had spent the last 25 years with was no longer there. For the first time in a long time, I was alone.

I went into a deep depression. My friends tried to help by bringing me meals but I couldn’t imagine life without her. I thought about ending it but couldn’t bring myself to do that so I somehow carried on.

However, my income was now less than half of what it was before and I was still on medical employment insurance. I asked my landlord for a reduction in rent so I could stay in the apartment. It is the cheapest place in town. They gave me a $50 reduction.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t pay my creditors. I called them all and tried to work with them, asking for 2-3 months to get back on my feet, but they just wanted their money. So, I had no choice but to file a Consumer Proposal to stop them from harassing me. My car loan didn’t want to go that route, though, so they repossessed my car, leaving me with no transportation.

In March of 2021 I got COVID. It was the worst sickness I had ever had. It lasted 2 long weeks and there were 3 days where I actually thought I was going to die. It was that bad. To make things worse, I was now alone in my apartment.

In September I finally got a job. I worked there for 1 week and had a heart attack. They flew me to a city 8 hours away and put 5 stents in my heart. My employer was nice enough to hold my job for me but I could only have 2 weeks off. My cardiologist said I should take 2 months but I couldn’t afford to do that.

For the next several months I was a zombie. I had no energy, couldn’t think straight, and wondered why I didn’t end things when my wife died. Again, I went into depression.

I went onto some pen pal sites because I felt I needed someone to talk to. I helped a few people with their English skills because I like helping people and that distracted me a little from the pain of no longer having my wife, but it was only a temporary solution.

Then I met Victoria. I wasn’t looking for another relationship, not after losing my wife of 25 years. But Victoria was sweet, kind, and extremely understanding. We messaged, emailed, exchanged photos, and talked on the phone, and discovered that we had much in common. Our view of life, of relationships, of how marriage mates should treat each other, was in complete harmony.

I never expected to find someone after losing my beloved wife but I fell in love with Victoria. She was from a foreign country but her English was quite good. She told me about her life and I told her about mine.

I made my situation clear from the very beginning: I had no savings, no house, no assets, and would not be able to help her with a visa. She didn’t care about any of that. She was just looking for someone who would love her from the heart, be honest with her, faithful to her, so we could spend the rest of our lives together.

Victoria has made me happier than I’ve been in a long time. I still miss my wife. That will never change. And, of course, I still love her. That will never change, either. But now I have a chance to be happy again, to share my life with someone again. Victoria has said that she wants me to give my deceased wife the biggest place in my heart. How many women are that understanding and caring?

So now we would like to get married. She has been trying to get a visa to visit me but with the backlog of applications since COVID it hasn’t materialized yet. However, I did manage to get a visa to go to her country and the plan is to be with her at the end of August of this year.

I have calculated the expenses that I need to maintain things here while I visit her, along with the travel cost, and have been saving as much as possible. But I am coming up short. She is willing to pay for the wedding (it will be a civil ceremony with a small celebration with her family) but I need to get there and maintain things here so we have a place to come back to once we’re married.

I have calculated that I will about be $2,194 short. Without this money I will not be able to make it.

If you can help in any way, even a small donation, I would be forever grateful.

I have been given a second chance at love, something not everyone gets. I just need a little help to get there.

Thank you for reading my story. I hope your life has as much happiness as Victoria has brought to mine.

Sincerely,

Terry

seeking support so i can continue to be the owner of my studio apartment

Hello everyone .

I am a single mother who has been facing difficulty financially . I aquired a studio apartment through mortgage but at this point in my life I am having problems paying on a monthly basis .  This studio apartment is in the caribbean . My account is in a chronic stage of arrears . Its a very small apartment and could not be rented out for much . my mortgage is 300 USD per month and  its rented for 100 USD ,I am the only  person on  the mortgage . I paid whatever the rent is , but that still is not able to service the loan  effectively .I was contacted on numerous occasions threatening that my account is in a chronic state , and is at risk of repossession. I have to be literally begging them and giving ficticious time lines in which I will be able to pay . I am becoming very depressed as I am very fearful of loosing the property . This is my only acquired asset so far after divorce . I am in arrears of about 8000 USD at this point . I am not expecting persons to pay my bills in totality , but at this stage I am seeking some assistance . Iam presently in Canada as a temporary resident ,but am am not able to work . i have to leave my homeland because my life was threatened by a student I did not even teach . I became very paranoid and fearful for my life , and so I decided to leave . I am closer to 60 years than 50 at this point , and might not be able to work to pay it off as my health is already deteriorating . Once there is evidence of payment being made , there is hope  of me still being the property owner. I am willing to show proof of ownwership as well as receipts already available . I am looking forward to your support as I continue to fight to keep this my dwelling .

Thanks Regards
