I never imagined I would be in a position where I would have to ask for help like this, but here I am, reaching out in the hopes that someone might understand and be willing to support me in regaining a part of myself that I have lost- my smile.

Throughout my childhood, I had strong, healthy teeth.  I even had the privilege of getting braces in high school, thanks to my grandparents, and the confidence it gave me was life-changing.  I smiled constantly, and it was impossible to hide the newfound joy I felt.  Unfortunately, life took a turn I never expected, and my dental health began to suffer in ways I could never have foreseen.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, I was a severe nighttime teeth grinder, which destroyed most of my molars.  I invested over $10,000 in crowns and root canals, trying everything I could to save my teeth.  Then, a devastating chapter of my life began when I was prescribed Morphine for what my doctor diagnosed as arthritis.  I expressed my concerns about its strength and asked for an alternative, but my pleas were dismissed.  Within a year, I found myself unknowingly addicted, my life unraveling before I even realized what was happening.

By the time I understood the full scope of my addiction, I was in deep.  My body was failing me. I experienced blackouts, and despite a year of medical testing, no one connected my symptoms to the medications I was taking.  Eventually, I was found unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital, where they discovered I had lost all of the magnesium, potassium, and calcium from my body.  This was my wake-up call.  I demanded to stop taking the Morphine, but I had no knowledge of withdrawals, addiction, or recovery.  I stumbled through the process, relapsing before finally entering a recovery program.

To aid my recovery, I was prescribed Suboxone, a medication that helped me regain stability. At the time, I was unaware of its effects on dental health, and as the years went on, I watched in devastation as my teeth began to deteriorate.  The thousands of dollars I had invested in saving them were slowly undone, my crowns falling out one by one. Now, I am left with only a few teeth, making it difficult to eat, speak, and most painfully, smile.

Beyond the physical pain, the impact on my self-esteem has been overwhelming.  I was laid off last May when the business I worked for suddenly closed, and the job search has been incredibly difficult-not because I lack experience, work ethic, or references, but because my missing teeth create an immediate impression that is hard to overcome.  I see the judgement in people’s eyes, the assumptions they make about me.  I have withdrawn from social situations, avoided friends, and settled in relationships because I feel unworthy.

I just want to feel like myself again.  I want to regain my confidence, find meaningful work, and show the world who I truly am- someone who has fought incredibly hard to overcome addiction and is determined to live a fulfilling life. I have found a dentist who can provide me with All-on-4 implants for $30,000, giving me a full set of permanent teeth in just one day.  This would not only restore my ability to eat and speak properly, but more importantly, it would give me back my smile- the confidence I need to secure employment, rebuild relationships, and contribute to society in the way I know I can.

I am humbly asking for any support you can offer in helping me achieve this goal.  My parents have done everything they can to help me through my struggles, and I want to be able to stand on my own two feet, to provide them with the peace of mind that I am okay.  More than anything, I want to be able to pay forward the kindness I receive, to help others who are struggling as I have.

My name is Marta. I am a 36-year-old Portuguese woman living in Ireland. I am a nurse, and I work full-time as a clinical nurse manager in a nursing home, a job I love.

Although fulfilled in my career, I am not fulfilled in what is most important to me, having a family, being a mother, and being with a person I love. I have not been lucky in love, and the person I thought I would grow old together betrayed me in a way I can’t seem to recover from. Overcoming Homelessness: Urgent Support Needed to Move Forward

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am currently facing significant financial hardships and am reaching out for assistance. After being homeless for over a year with my cat, Nala, I have finally secured a place to call home. However, I am struggling to cover essential utilities. My heat and electricity are not included in my rent, and I have a past due balance of $1,519.78 that must be paid in full before I can establish new service.

To complicate matters, the electricity is temporarily in my landlord’s name, and she has been pressing me to transfer it to mine. Drowning and need help!

To whom it may concern,

In 2017 tragedy struck my mom fell ill and was
no longer able to care for herself as she would never walk again due to Neuropathy due to Diabetes and other health issues. While she was in rehabilitation I realized it was not good and they were not taking care of her as her family would. They would leave her in her briefs for hours on end sitting in her feces and urine. I chose to bring my mom into my home and take care of her as it was the right thing to do in my eyes and my heart anyway.

Well Needless to say I left my job that I loved for almost 19 years. But my mom needed me and that’s what I did. I took care of her, from being bathed changed doctors appointments everything that one would need for care, things that she had done for me growing up. As time went by I realized how expensive supplies were to take care of a medically challenged person. I found myself using credit just to be sure she had what she needed that insurance would not cover.

I lost my mom in 2021. After paying for her cremation I went over my finances I found that I had sucked myself into $108,000 debt more than I could ever think to find myself between her expenses and my home. I needed a job and was able to find one working full time and was able to get a start on paying off the debt but again more unforeseen circumstances my grandbaby needed me and because I was working full time I had no choice but to drop myself down to part-time you see my grandbaby has autism and needs care pretty much around the clock. No one else could understand autism not even other family members so I made a vow my grandbaby was my family and I would take care of my family until my last breath.

I have been making ends meet but it seems at times I have to use credit again and
again for medical needs I can honestly say I was able to get my debt down to $78,000 but I am still sinking and to be honest, once again I feel as if I am drowning with this debt. I have never been one to ask for help I would rather suffer but I realized sometimes we all need a hand up.

I just wanted to reach out to see if there are still good people in this world hoping someone would want to reach out to help me stop drowning all I am trying to do is take care of my family one moral I find is scarce within this world these days doing what is right should not be so hard at times I don’t wanna lose my home of over 20 years and that is why I am reaching out today. Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. My name is Victoria. I am an international student, currently pursuing my master’s degree in Technology, with a specialization in Energy market and Computer Engineering at a University in Germany. I have always been passionate about personal development through learning and I commit to making a meaningful difference in the world. I had stable employment until the demise of my husband when things took a downhill turn, making it increasingly difficult to support myself especially after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The private insurance I signed up for, declined the payment of my medical bills as they claim it is a preexisting condition. While I am courageously fighting this disease, the financial burden of medical and living expenses has become insurmountable. To complete my studies, I need to extend my student residence visa to the end of the winter semester in 2026. This is because the surgeries have extended my studies for another year. The visa extension application requires me to provide a funded account, with a minimum balance of 5.000 Euros as proof of fund for living expenses. I currently do not have this amount and I am unable to raise it from a student job. I risk losing my student status, as I urgently need to apply for a student visa extension to complete my studies. Please Assist with Legal Fees

I’ve come to the conclusion that I need assistance with the legal fees for my past custody case.  Initially, I was able to keep up with the payments from my attorney.  As the case progressed, my child’s father countersued me.  At that point, the judge would schedule meetings for the case to be handled.  My child’s father lives out of town and wouldn’t show up and or call to make the team aware that the court date needed to be altered.  This caused me to have to pay for legal representation at times when there wasn’t anything happening with the case.

As a result, I’m behind on my payments.  The firm is also adding interest to the total balance.  Right now, I owe the law firm $18,947.65.  Each time I tried to get a hold on this balance, life would happen.

A devastating loss has left me in a crisis

Life has been incredibly difficult lately, and I find myself in a position I never imagined—reaching out for help. As a disabled veteran living on a fixed income, I do my best to make ends meet, but an unexpected tragedy has left me struggling to keep up with my mortgage and utility bills, which are now at risk of disconnection.

On December 9th, we took my sweet baby boy to a different veterinary clinic for a second opinion after some concerning health issues. Just two days later, on December 11th, he took a turn for the worse, and we rushed him to Pittsburgh Emergency Animal Hospital. There, we learned that in addition to his laryngeal paralysis, he was also severely diabetic. The veterinarians tried their best to stabilize him, but it was just too much for his little body to handle. I held him in my arms as we said our final goodbyes, and the pain of that moment is something I don’t think I will ever recover from. I can’t shake the feeling that I failed him, even though I know I did everything I could.

The unexpected costs of his emergency care, combined with my already limited income, have put me in a financial crisis. I am now behind on my mortgage, and my utilities are scheduled for disconnection. I am humbly asking for any help, no matter how small, to keep a roof over my head and the lights on as I try to navigate this heartbreaking time. Hi, I’m Ashley. I live in Alberta, Canada. I finally, after four miserable years supporting my narcissistic boyfriend who was awful towards me, realized that I used to be so confident, but now not so much. He bugged me about my teeth (which were supposed to be fixed, but he took that money too) and my weight. He would cheat and always made it my fault.
