My husband beat me up for 20 years. Ending in hitting me with a car.

I was locked in raped and abused. He was a surgeon and his peers protected him. Eventually I ran to a refuge with my 2 children and got divorced on grounds of gross cruelty. The day he was served divorce papers he vanished emptying our bank accounts and taking out a bigger mortgage. I had zero money my daughtets were in distress. The bank took my home and debtors he had owed left hounded me night and day he left me with his 500k debts. I had been looking after my 90 year old mother with Parkinsons. I was ill. Depressed had severe arthritis from the broken bones. I took 4 jobs to save my children. Cleaned toilets. Cleaned houses. Did book keeping and baby sitting. Any thing to protect my children I slept 4 hours a night and was in hindsight living a walking nervous breakdown. His last words to me were I will be back to cut your and the daughters throats one day. I suffered ptsd night terrors and had a recurring dream of him walking in my bedroom with my daughters severed heads in a box. The torture . Humiliation has been awful one time friends crossed the road too embarrassed to talk to me. I was in a hostel with drug addicts and prostitutes for 3 years. After many generations of my family paying tax and at least 10 dying in world war one and 2 for their country. In the hostel every one got housed before me. The council officers would say why would a surgeons wife need help. Because I do I said. I was treated like a leper in my own vountry UK. My great great uncle was a key officer in turning Waterloo in the favour of UK. But in this modern society loyalty patriotism and honour mean nothing.

Donations are desperately needed for a family after the devastating floods in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas on March 27, 2025. The Gudino family’s home in Sebastian, Texas, was completely flooded during the recent torrential storms that dumped between 13-20 inches of rain on the area in a matter of only 24 hours. The storms were only predicted to bring approximately 3 inches of rain to the area, so the residents in the area were completely unprepared for this. The family’s home sat with water inside for several days due to terrible drainage issues in the area, and they have lost almost everything due to water damage and mold that is beginning to form. It is imperative that they get help to start clean up and damage repairs done as soon as possible. The home is insured, but not with flood insurance, so they will be getting no help there. There were 3 children in the home who are all currently displaced. Please consider donating to this family. I lost my job

I was attacked by 4 police officers, while with my child. I was sent to a hospital where I was then attacked by another officer while attached to a hospital bed by handcuffs. Stepping Into My Purpose

Hello, my name is Sheureka and I’m asking for donations to start my food truck and nonprofit organization. I love to cook it’s a passion of mine that I just want to see come to life. I used to have a catering business and the Covid came and I lost it because I felt that my customers safety was way more important.

I’ve been cooking for over 25 years people love my cooking so I decided to take it a step further. I plan to attend school to become a chef in the near future as well.

Now my nonprofit will be called Chosen Vessel and what it’s based upon is feeding the homeless. I want to find a place cafeteria style then go to the Universities, communities colleges and trade schools to have students do their internship at Chose Vessel. Three years ago, I lost my job. Since then, life has become a daily battle. I’m a father of two young children, and despite all efforts, I haven’t been able to return to a well-paying position. In Chile, once you’re over 50, it feels like you become invisible to the job market.

Finally a good work offer. It’s just 8 hours away and I need to cover costs first. Can someone please help me make this happen?

It has taken me days to finally calm down enough over this and sit down to compose it. I realize no one has to help with this but pray for some miracle, that there are people who know how it feels to have one lone opportunity that is still so far reaching , if it happens at all. I shouldn’t be doubting myself but after moving here 3 years ago and finding no work, I’ve applied in desperation to cities elsewhere. I didn’t expect a reply but I actually got one. Then I didn’t believe the interview would lead to an offer. When the email marked “employment offer” showed up, I’m surprised I didn’t ’fall off my chair’ in shock. Now comes what appears to be the hardest part yet…Making it happen.

In making it happen, it sounds simple:  the rental I found requires first/last month’s rent (2 x $1,500, so $3,000), auto insurance because the vehicle has been parked ($700 total and includes reactivation/late fees etc), travel (likely needs an oil change/tune up and gas, say $400, and if very fortunate it definitely needs new tires and a spare, say $600). I am seeing these as all that is needed to make my new work a reality. The position pays enough that I can make rent once there for a month, I believe.
Please, I’m so close to having my life back that this is very stressful. Without the generosity of humanity, I am out of luck to make this dream happen. It’s been horrid being unemployed. PS. I also have an emotionally abusive partner to leave and cannot afford it, unless I can afford it. Yes, I’ve been through the women’s shelter and on a waiting list for two years now. Domestic abuse is rampant and there are lots of ladies waiting ahead of me.
Wow. To say one never knows what life will present has been an understatement for sure. But I think I’m doing what’s right to get my life back.  So close. Life can be generous but it sure can be humbling. I’ve experienced both now and feel the knowledge learned is invaluable and should be something I can help others with when I see them seeking to take back their life too.

Helping to pick up the pieces, after massive Heart Attack, he left nothing

I feel a closeness to this family and can picture small children who witnessed Grandpa passing from a massive heart attack at 59 years old, and on Fathers Day 2016. I see those same Young Kids Sobbing all over Mother and Grandmother’s pant legs and pulling at Mothers clothes, not understanding what was occurring . You can picture it in your own mind, the chaotic atmosphere in a room on Fathers Day, where a Husband, a Father, and Grandfather left them all with a partial family, to try and pick up the pieces. I have an emptiness at the thought of that happening to the one’s I love, or the ones you love. where would you get help to pick up the pieces. I hope I found it for my friend of 50 years.
