We are a family of 5. One child is away from college. We need desperate help to save our home. The last couple years we have gone through event after event that has financially destroyed us. I was taken out of work at the end of my pregnancy after we got our house. Ive had two surgeries. Knee surgery and a hiatel hernia surgery which took me out of work. Then my okder son at 16 was diagnosed with crohns. He was hospitalized because he had an infection that almost eroded through his intestinal wall. I ended up out of work staying with him in the hospital and then being home woth him and giving him two iv antibiotics through his picc line he was sent home with. Then there were doctor visits on top of procedures and tests. Then our toddler was diagnosed with autism. We had to have appointments for speech / behavior and occupational therapy. My job was allowing overtime anymore and i could only work 25 hours a week and my job made it impossible to get more hours. I ended up switching from a company i loved because i needed to make more. Weve done side jobs trying to get out from under this mess and now we are about to lose out home. We desperately need help and would appreciate anything from anyone. I need a car. Until recently I had money to buy a car. I live in Colorado Springs, CO. About 6 months ago I received a message from my cousin and grandmother stating that my mother was having breathing problems and that if I anted to see my mother alive on Earth again I should take a trip to go see her. I recently did that and my family was going too.
The plan was to go to South Carolina and see my mom and then when we got back to Colorado I was going to use my savings to buy a car.
That turned out to be the trip from hell and then some.
The vehicle that we were driving turned out to break down twice. The alternator and the power steering pump both. Rome down while we were there. The alternator took $1800 to repair! I tried to change the alternator myself but it was a very difficult fix and not being a mechanic I couldn’t do it. The shop couldn’t get it in for 5 days! My family and I had to stay at a motel the whole tine we were gone because of my wife. The power steering pump also went out and that cost another $700 to fix. Because of the repairs we had to stay another 2 weeks there costing me another $2000 in motel bills. All in all this trip ended up costing me about $10,000 in all. I was trying to save about $5000 or $6000 to get a car when I got back. This trip wiped out everything. I need some help getting a car. Hey guys, this isn’t normally something I would do, or feel comfortable doing but I have no where else to turn. We are struggling so bad.

1. Facing power shut off 8/4/25 – behind $1,300

2. No furnace – broke last winter – all quotes we’ve recieved is $5k-$6k

Hi my name is Netta, I have 4 children, with a man that I love and care deeply about. We had a 13 year relationship and unfortunately it did not work out. Like many moms, I spent decades working long hours—often 60 to 80 hours a week—to make sure my family had what they needed. In recent years, I’ve been working night shift in nursing, which pays more but took a toll on my health. I suffered a heart attack, and my cardiologist warned me that continuing nights could cost me my life.

So in May of this year, when chest pain returned, I made the difficult but necessary choice to leave the night shift job I loved and find a day shift position to preserve my health.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. After attending 12 funerals in one year, I’ve been emotionally and financially overwhelmed. On top of that, I’m now caring for two boys while their father—a close friend of mine—is deployed. We’re living in his home for now, but I’ll need to move out when he returns in December.

The truth is, I’ve lost everything. I’ve had to resort to this because I’m just trying to hold on. I was recently discharged from the military for mental health problems and I wanted to share a bit of why and now my decaying financial status because of it.

I came back to homeport a few months ago and started living on the barracks in emergency because I tried to end my own life on board after constant hazing from my co-workers.

I was treated very poorly, was insulted, was forced to do hard labor even when I was injured and was called useless and dumb even when I was doing my best and working on my PQS, the trauma I’ve been having after has become so bad I’ve not been able to sleep even with my meds prescribed by my psychologist.

Yes, I may history of abuse growing up by my own mother, but I was genuinely getting better from it until people who I am supposed to trust brought me down. I requested a report made against the co-workers who had done it, but nothing much came out of it, I don’t even know if they did something to them yet, because they’re still on deployment.

I was diagnosed with PTSD from it and I haven’t recieved any separation pay yet, I am going back to my country of origin and my dad needs his refigiator fixed and the A/C since we live in an island and resources are limited.

I’m still worried about my future and I’m still worried if with this condition I would be able to work again, being in the military was my dream and I did my best, took time in bootcamp and school to do everything right, but I can’t believe things needed to end soon, if anyone can please help me at least financially, I appreciate it, I have a dad I need to take care and not even the government is helping me right now.

I’m also in high debt, that is also another worry for me.
