I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to shed some light on the deplorable living conditions experienced by residents in nursing homes today. As someone who has worked as a nursing assistant for 18 years, I have witnessed firsthand the distressing realities faced by these vulnerable individuals, and it has fueled my determination to one day establish a residential/assisted living care home that I would proudly entrust with the care of my own parents. 

One of the most concerning issues in nursing homes is the quality of food provided to residents. It is disheartening to see residents choose to starve themselves rather than consume the unappetizing meals they are served. Despite countless complaints from residents, there has been a lack of effort or improvement in addressing this matter. The residents’ voices go unheard, leaving them in a state of dissatisfaction and discomfort. 

Boredom is another prevalent issue among nursing home residents. The absence of engaging activities or attempts to discover and cater to individual interests leads to feelings of isolation and frustration. The impact of this monotony often manifests in behavioral issues, further deteriorating the residents’ quality of life. There are many more issues but these are some I feel are most important from what I see and hear on a day-to-day basis. 

Unfortunately, the financial constraints imposed by my current position as a nursing assistant hinder my ability to realize my dream of owning and operating a care home that prioritizes the well-being and happiness of its residents. The startup costs for such a venture are beyond my means, leaving me disheartened but not hope. 

The issues I stated above have given me the drive and dream of someday owning and operating a residential/assisted living care home. As well as brings me to you asking for assistance in funding for a property. I recently stumbled across a property that is currently for sale. Its location and opportunity for business has captivated my heart. 

The property offers a serene and tranquil setting that would provide a calm and peaceful environment for future residents. With 20 acres of land, there would be ample space for endless gardening and a wide array of activities to enrich the lives of the residents. I firmly believe that engaging residents in meaningful and enjoyable activities is essential for their overall well-being. 

Additionally, I would love to be able to offer future residents the opportunity to bring their beloved cats or dogs with them. The comfort and love that animals provide is therapy in itself. I want to provide a care home where residents can experience the most home-like environment possible, and having their furry friends along is a great addition. 

 In my pursuit of this dream, I have come across a website called beggingmoney.com, where individuals share their aspirations and seek financial support from kind-hearted individuals. With a deep sense of hope and vulnerability, I have poured my heart out, sharing my vision, dreams, and the perfect property that has captured my imagination. I am a 73 year old grandmother.  I started an online business couple of months ago.  I had a credit card limit of $10k.  I maxed out the credit card buying inventory.  I sold some of the inventory but some have not sold. I did quite well and made a profit.  However, the money I made is not enough to pay off the credit card and buy inventory. To make the matter worse the giant online company is holding on to my money and said that they are going to send it to my account in a few weeks.  In the meantime I am desperate to buy inventory for next month and pay my credit card debt.

I would be eternally grateful if you could please get me out of this situation.

My name is Kayli and I’m 18 years old. I am currently in high school and will be graduating next year. I did fall a little behind with Covid and online school (which has a struggle). Now that I am back in school, physically going to class everyday, things have changed tremendously for me. One year ago, I had no plans for the future, wasnt thinking about graduating or college, nothing. But being active everyday and taking responsibility for my education has given me a new sense of self that I am very proud of.

I come from a single parent household. My mom works around the clock to provide for me and my siblings. There are 5 of us, ages 21, 18(me), 7, 6, and 2. Having 3 small children has definitely taken a toll on our family’s finances as well as my mom’s health. She is going through a divorce from my step dad who has not contributed a single cent for almost 3 years. My mom gives everything to us without complaint.

Thinking about my future, I know my mom will not be able to help very much and I don’t want to be the reason she works herself into the ground because I know she will if I need help with college or vocational school after graduating from high school. She already works 2 jobs and freelances as a side hustle to ensure we have what we need. So I have been researching ways I could earn money to pay for school and all its associated costs. I also want to be able to help my mom out, so she can get a break and start focusing on herself and her health.

I am on beggingmoney.com because I need money to start a small business. I would like to buy a couple vending machines and place them in low income areas where I can provide items like facemasks, hand sanitizer, diapers, wipes, things of that nature to the public. I would also like to offer healthier snack foods because areas like this dont have those options. Vending machines can make these items more economical attainable because instead of purchasing regular store quantities, they are offered at emergency or “until I get paid” prices. I have already made contactand pitched my idea to stores and distributors that are willing to offer  me a discounted rate for items i mentioned above. And I have decided on locations that I feel it is needed the most in my area. All I need now is the vending machines.

I’m not looking to buy brand spanking new machines, just machines that are compatible with the products i want to sell and where the maintenance is relatively low and or easy. I am hoping to raise at least $8000. This would cover 4 machines that I would purchase from government surplus auctions. This would cover shipping as well.

There have been plenty of times where my mom didn’t have the money to buy diapers and food. Being a few days away from payday, a half a pack of diapers would last her until she could buy a full pack. Having the option to purchase items in lower quantities means lower costs. So instead of having to choose between food and hygiene, families would be able to have both and survive until payday comes back around.

Please help me start my very small business. These vending machines would be helping me pay for my future, help my mom and help families living paycheck to paycheck.

I want to start by using this opportunity to thank everyone for reading my story and I pray for more abundant blessings to all.  

I am 27 years old and a Cameroonian and a single mother. I was pregnant in my 7 months when I lost the father of my child in the crisis we have in Cameroon, where he was shot during a gun fight. My father is off late as well, just a mother as a parent. I left my Country and travel to South Korea for adventures last year, abandoning my 2year old baby with my mom. On me coming to this Country South Korea, I have realised that it will be better I stay back home in my Country and be a mother to my child (I miss him so much).  Things are not the way I thought. I can’t get a job because I cannot speak the Korean language, my visa type is not a working visa and is even expired which is another problem and my Passport is to expire in few months. I am totally confused. The person who helped me followed up my documents does not care on what goes on with me here. I manage with a friend who took me in, and she has been feeding me all this while here. I will love to say but with the situation of things and the condition of my documents I can’t get a good or well-paying job and parttime which is rare to find. I want to go back to my Country, help my mother and bring up my child. So, I’m asking for help from you, in anyway. I will need a sum of $7000, to pay the debts we are owing for working out my documents to travel here (South Korea) which is $2000 and the rest to pay my flight and go back home and start a business like a fashion business and as well as continue my education to get my degree. I travel here to South Korea for something but is not easy as I thought. I want to be beside my baby boy, and I want him to grow beside me his mother.

I’m asking for any contribution to get my business off the ground.  Here is my story…I was a corporate employee with a very good job for nearly 25 years when in late 2020 many in my department were furloughed due to Covid.  After, I was working odd jobs and contracting to make some income I started my own business and was doing well. Then my wife of over 20 years and I separated. At the same time, I nearly lost my life due to undetermined kidney failure. I was also diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy by my nephrologist. 

I was told I would never recover fully and was encouraged to apply for disability. I looked into it but the biggest negative is the system is set up in such a way that you really can’t improve your situation, and the disability payments, even with my years of work and income are very limited.  I could only make a very small (less than 12k per year) income while receiving disability.  Beating the odds, I have almost recovered my kidney function but was referred to a hepatologist for related liver damage and transplant evaluation.  I’m still waiting for more tests before the doctor makes a recommendation.

To get to the point, I have sold nearly everything I own and I’m out of things to sell to pay the bills.  I consider myself very fortunate to have a previously unoccupied home that belongs to my family to live in for now, but I never imagined that I would need assistance with basics like power, gas, water, and grocery items. I’m beginning to feel better and intend to get past my medical problems regardless of what the doctor tells me. 

To date, I’m trying to save but it hasn’t been possible. I need 5,000 dollars to get the equipment and materials to get my business going again. I want to work again and intend to fully regain my health and start generating a steady income so I can fully support myself, help my kids, be productive to society, and continue to give back to others in need.
