Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

A Family In NEED!

As a first time college student, my main focus is being the first graduate from my family to obtain a college degree. Throughout highschool I worked many hours to help take care of my family who came from poverty. I am now a single mother of two who’s main focused is watching my children prosper and be successful. Recently because of the bad weather our family lost our only transportation and our school system does not have transportation.The only support I did have was my mother who I no longer have. I’ve been attending college majoring Criminal Justice. I’m in fear that I will lose my degree. As a mother I am completely embarrassed and ashamed that my children have to watch me struggle alone. I have to catch public transportation to take my children to school then take 2 trains and a bus just to get to my school. We visit food banks. The time we are able to get there everything is mainly gone . Like I’ve mentioned before I am embarrassed and ashamed but I don’t know what else to do before falling into a deep depression. I am asking for whatever donation that can be given to my family to help through this rough patch will be appreciated and used for what it is given for.

Life is lifeing & I don’t know what to do

To whomever may be reading this, I hope your day is going good:)

I am a Canadian female, soon to be 20 years old this month of March. A little about me: I was raised by a strong single mother. I love and have always been musically involved ,with school and church choirs, instrument lessons, etc., I am a pisces, I currently work two full time jobs, one support work for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and at a alarm call centre

My parents split when I was 3, and I usually would see my dad a few times a month. My mother has always been a hardworking woman, she has been my mother and father for most of my life. My father struggled financially and my mother did not demand child support, and when she would it would be enough to cover one week out of 4 weeks in a month. My mother has always worked 2-3 jobs to be able to provide for me and my siblings(I have 6 siblings between both my parents, and 2 younger half sisters on my father’s side). I would say my second parent Is my sister, she always looked out for me when my mom was at work, and took care of me like a mother, so I very much love her and appreciate her for everything she to has done for me.

I went on all school field trips, I took piano lessons, I joined literally all the school sport teams (except basketball), went to my sisters whenever, had family cookouts, got my drivers license, got my first car, had my first accident, got my first job (@ Mcdonalds), went through depressive phases, and changes, graduated high school, etc., and I can’t think of one time my mother hasn’t been present for everything, and if there was a time where she wasn’t, she would be the one funding and supporting everything I do. My mother has helped me grow (mentally, physically, financially, spiritually), she has taught me faith and love, forgiveness, independency, and so.much.more. My mom is not the perfect human being but to me she is the perfect mother.

Unfortunately we don’t always meet people with good intentions in this life and with that my mom met her now ex-husband (not my father), they had a good relationship from the start, he seemed to be a nice guy, had his own construction company and would make good money to support us and handle anything else he had to handle, my mom agreed to cosign his sister company to his company, and even paid the office space mortgage for him to be a supportive, participating wife. And guess what, even I can’t believe it, but this guy was totally broke, all the money we thought he was bringing home was just a ton of business loans he took out, and high credit loans, and he had to file bankruptcy because he couldn’t even pay it back because his business was not doing as well as my mom thought, and with my mom being as understanding as she is, she sat down and listened to what he had to say but it was nothing but great deception. My mother decided she will stick by her husband and be there for him for his next plan to restore his finances. This time, he asked my mom to take out loans for him, get credit cards from places like Home Depot, Canadian Tire, etc., and she did. Long story short, the money he promised to pay for the loans and credit, was never paid, my mom could not afford to pay for her mortgage and since it’s an investment home, she couldn’t afford the renovation costs on top of that, take care of me (and my step sister living with us then), pay for her car, and basically pay off her expenses, and then also pay for his expenses as well, therefor we know how crazy interests on loans get and the bills piled, then eventually she had to file for bankruptcy, it became overwhelming for her, and looked back and seen what loving this man did for her, and decided to divorce him beginning of covid. I went to go live with my sister because my mom was a health care nurse and wanted to make sure I would not get sick from covid or anything else at the hospital. I came back to live with my mom September 2020, and I got my first job at McDonalds, I also was able to take my drivers test so I got my license. My mom for the first time told me what was going on behind the scenes. I have always known my mom to be positive and happy, but for her to express what she was going through just meant to me it was serious, she was hurt, and I could tell. The bills that she had to pay were at least 5x what it should have been for just me and her. I was in junior year of high school and I was working so I kept myself busy between those two things. My mom was working 3 jobs at the time, and somewhere along the way she had to drop one because she started experiencing health issues that would not allow her to work as much and had to step down to 2 jobs which she currently works til now. I managed to save 15k working at McDonalds my first year while I was helping my mom, and as I saw mom start to overwork herself, the stress was visible, I decided to get a second job to support my mom more. Once I got my high school diploma, I was able to drop one job, there was more employment opportunities once I obtained my diploma and was over 18, and so i remained at McDonalds until June 2023, but the second job helped with increasing my income. Just before I graduated in June of 2022, my brother who was living with my dad had his first seizure, and was later diagnosed with epilepsy while in a coma for one week. I am extremely grateful that he was able to be there for my graduation, despite all worrying and the tears. My mother became restless knowing that yes he is an adult so no one was watching him or checking up on him as much, so she had him move in with us, after all, we did have a spare bedroom, and it brought us comfort knowing he was there. My brother was involved in a collision summer of 2022 and was found at fault arguing his mental capacity was not enough for him to operate a vehicle, and with that his insurance sent him a letter saying he had to pay for the damage to the other vehicle, and they refused to cover the repair costs for his vehicle as well, so out of nowhere, he just got into over $30,000 in debt, on top of having to still pay for his non drivable vehicle since he was financing. My brother has had a difficult time getting jobs just because he is a slow learner, and not everyone is willing to put their trust in confidence in him, but they don’t know him like I do, and I know that anyone who has him on their team , is winning, period. It may take him a bit longer to learn some things but same with me, same with someone else. I was really strong in math in school, but put some bio in front of me and I no longer know what your talking about, science has always taken me longer to learn but math I comprehend like English lol. As of right now my brother works part time for the city at community centres and after school programs helping other kids and conducting the programs they have for them, and I am helping him look for full time employment because only god knows when he will finish paying his debt on top of other his other things expenses when he only makes just under 500$ biweekly.

As I am working two jobs I am paying for everything I need to pay, while trying to help my mom, my brother, and the rest of my siblings with what I can, and unfortunately, I can not attend post secondary school at the moment because I cant afford it, and with working two jobs, I won’t be able to keep up with my education that I would make my priority. Our house had to be put on pause with the renovations, and recently the bank sent my mom a letter effective immediately stating she needed to upgrade the electrical wiring in our house because it is an older home, so if the house catches on fire, insurance does not cover us at all. That is the simplest and shortest version of my story with a timeline.

Well, to conclude this, I am not sure what to do with my life, and money is not everything, but it has impacted my life so. My mother and my brother have this huge wrongful debt to pay and mine very minor, and I don’t know when my mom’s body will reject physically, or when my brothers health will restore, but these two people I love with my whole heart. Everything is getting sooo expensive here to the point that I cant even support my family the way I want to because I also have things to pay but yet still the least amount to pay between us three. This life feels like a loop, that will. never end, I feel like I won’t be able to go to school while I’m young so I can build my life, I see my brother who’s only 3 years older than me going through depression because he feels like he won’t be able to make it in this society, my mom is growing older and her energy has decreased dramatically because of the financial stress and exhaustion. I can’t see myself being able to save enough money and pay for things, and still support my family. So, I have sought this website while currently working on finding side hustles that can help with streams of income to take us out of the situation we are in so we can find build a future as well, and to all the readers of my story, I would like to say thank you for reading and those who understand where I am coming from.

Newly single Mother Struggling financially

I am writing to you with a heavy heart and hope in search of support during a particularly challenging period in my life. My name is Carla and I am a single mother of four wonderful children, currently living in QLD Australia. Unfortunately, four months ago, my partner left us due to having an affair and is now living with this woman in a different town. This abrupt change has left me in a dire financial situation.

Since my partner’s departure, I have been left to shoulder all household expenses, including rent, utilities, car, loan payment and the cost of food, clothes, school fees and sports fees for my children, on my own. To complicate matters further, I have not received any form of child support, which has made it exceedingly difficult to provide for my family’s basic needs. I am currently going through the system to gain child support from my children’s father, this however takes time. It is very heart breaking to know the father of my children can abandon his responsibilities as a father without a care in the world. My children are unaware of the actions their father has made and I am unable to bring myself to tell them as they love and respect their father. They are already dealing with the fact he has walked out on his family, so the last thing they need is more heartache.

I am employed full-time as a Duty manager working day and night shifts but my income is simply not enough to cover our living expenses and the debts that have accumulated over the past few months. I have made every effort to cut costs, manage our budget, and seek additional work, but the financial burden is overwhelming. I am now at a point where I must seek assistance to ensure that my children have a stable home, food to eat, and access to the necessities of life.

It is with a humble heart that I reach out for help. I am in need of rental assistance as I have fallen behind in payments and financial aid. Any support you can provide would be a lifeline for us during this difficult time. My rent is currently $600AUD per week and I am 1 month behind :( My landlord has been very helpful during this difficult time, however rent is still needing to be paid.

I am determined to provide for my children and give them the care and stability they deserve. Your assistance can make a significant difference in our lives, and I would be endlessly grateful for your support and understanding.

For some time now, I have been actively pursuing employment opportunities in the disability and elderly support sector. This field is something I am deeply passionate about, as I find great fulfillment in caring for others and contributing positively to the lives of individuals who need it the most and I believe that everyone deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to live a full and enriched life, and I am committed to making that a reality. This line of work also fits in with my work schedule and the hourly rate is very good. Which will help me support my family financially. The cost to be able to work as a Support worker is going to cost me $500.

I have sought support from my family, but they too are facing their own financial challenges and, despite their best intentions, are unable to provide the help I need. It is a difficult admission to make, as I have always endeavored to be the one offering support and generosity to those around me. Now, I find myself in the unfamiliar and humbling position of being the one in need of assistance.

Need help to pay Family Law Attorney

Hello my name is Kimberly and I’m asking this for my daughter who is a single mother of 3 beautiful girls ages 7, 3 & 2. My daughter is in the middle of a divorce and it’s getting ugly. Her husband who is an alcoholic and abusive hired an attorney to make things harder on my daughter because she went and applied for emergency temporary custody of their 3 girls and the judge granted it to her which made him furious therefore he hired an attorney.  He knows my daughter doesn’t have money for an attorney cause she’s living in her own apartment working and taking care of her 3 daughters. The oldest daughter has Autism and my daughter has her in a school just for Autistic kids where she’s doing real good . My daughter took the time to research all the different schools to make sure she was in the best school for her because she wants her to succeed and have somewhat of a normal life and this was all my daughter’s doing. She loves her girls and wants nothing but the best for them. As do I they are my granddaughters. The reason my daughter is asking for emergency temporary custody is because the girls dad went over to my daughter’s place while the girls were there and pulled out a gun cocked it back and pointed it at her while he was arguing with her outside in the parking lot. My granddaughter was watching this through her bedroom window. He doesn’t take care of the girls like he should he’s just doing this to hurt my daughter. He won’t give them baths and the last time he had the girls my daughter called to see how they were doing and he wouldn’t let her talk to them and with this attorney that he has he’s asking for 4days out of the week to have them and he works those days so he’ll have his mom watch them. Now the girls don’t really know his mom because she chose not to be in their lives because they are half white and half Mexican and she doesn’t like my daughter because she’s Mexican. His own mother even testified against him because his other 2 kids that he has from another lady before he got with my daughter did not want to go over to their place anymore , this is while my daughter was still with him, cause he drinks all the time and agrees and fights with my daughter. So his baby momma took him to court to stop visits because the kids didn’t want to go over there anymore . So his own mother even testified against him and therefore the baby momma won her case. And now that my daughter is no longer with him she is back on his side helping him with this case just because she never liked my daughter because she’s Mexican. My daughter was with this man for almost 10yrs and in the beginning they were arguing cause he was drunk and had his gun pointing it at the 2 dogs they had and my daughter yelled at him to stop pointing it at them and he turned around and shot her in the foot she called me crying late at night telling me that she needed me to take her to the hospital cause he had just shot her in the foot and he wouldn’t take her to the hospital cause he was afraid of getting in trouble. All he thinks about is himself and my daughter deserves to have representation when she goes to court tomorrow. The attorney wants 1500 which is the retainer fee just to get started. My daughter has 1000 but that’s her rent money and I don’t want her to lose her place that she has gotten for herself and her daughters and I don’t have but 100 to my name and I live with my boyfriends family. An she desperately needs this attorney. So if you could please help her out we would be greatly appreciative. I don’t want him to take them girls away from her just because he was able to ask his dad for money for an attorney and my daughter couldn’t this would devastate not only the girls but my daughter and I as well being that I go over there to spend time with them per their request them girls love me cause I’ve been there their whole lives. Single mom with 2 kids

I come to canada with my two kids for make a difference in my elder son life because he has disabilities and he can’t walk so I just want him to be happy and feel he’s a normal like other kids but I try alot here with difficult situations because of him and I need to be around and can’t get full time job and when I try to work it’s hard to stay because I have to take alot of days off because of him..

I just move with him to British Columbia because he hate how the winter forces him to stay inside the school and house because of snow so I just I want to make it easier for him to live his simple life and now I need to be a rent and buy furniture and have a small car so we can go anywhere with him i will appreciate it if someone helps me with that.

I am trying to pay off some bills/car loan so I can start to save money to get my own place with my four-year-old son. I am a teacher and have gotten myself into such a financial hole since my husband relapsed. When I met him he was great, headstrong, and did share his past issues with me. Once we were married, the demons came out. Mom of 4 kids need finance help.

Good day i am a hard working mom i have 4 kids to take care of and also my boyfriend that is sick now for over a year he can not work and not getting any benefits anywere. School Fees for Liam – a boy who lost his father and needs a special school

Hello good people,

Let me tell you our story. My name is Lucie and I am a single mom raising a child. My son’s name is Liam, he is 11 years old and we live in Prague, Czech Republic. We lost my husband Dani (Liam’s dad) four years ago to leukemia. Dani was an American, and he had his cancer treatment in the USA, so we went there with Liam to be with him for the final days. I married Dani just two weeks before he passed away. He was the love of my life. Liam was 7 years old by that time. After that, we moved back to Prague, Czech Republic, because I can earn a living here, working as a manager of custom marionettes production. I earn just enough to pay the bills and take care of Liam. Dani never had any official income in the Czech Republic (he was a musician and earned his living on tours in the US), so I cannot claim any financial support for me as a widow or for Liam. My family cannot support me financially, but my mother is a great granny to him, so I appreciate that. My father (Liam’s dad) is absent. So it’s basically just Liam and I :-)

After we came back to the Czech Republic, Liam started 2nd grade and things went downward fairly quickly. After he suffered the trauma of losing his dad he developed a severe emotional disorder (I believe in the US it is classified as DMDD – in the Czech Republic we don’t have that category yet) which led to constant anger outbursts and a deep depression. I started taking Liam to therapies right away and we attended several hospitalizations at psychiatric institutions. It’s been the hardest three years of my life. Seeing your child suffer, being singled out from all activities with children, being attacked all the time, and grief… Liam was forced to change the school. The authorities suggested a school for children with special needs. We didn’t have a choice, because Liam’s outbursts were dangerous to other children and adults. The school was okay for those intense years because Liam was in a small collective and he had the assistance he needed. However, as he’s getting older, his condition is also getting better and I am looking for a different school for him. Liam is a very smart, kind, and talented boy and I believe he deserves to attend a school where he will feel comfortable, and safe and won’t be surrounded by children with much more severe mental disorders or children who come from very bad social circles. 90% of regular schools are full these days. Since the war in Ukraine started, we have had many refugees in the Czech Republic, and the public schools are packed with children, so it’s almost impossible to find a different school for Liam. However, I found an option that I think is great for my son. It is a private school that is focused on art (Art is Liam’s favorite activity), there is a small collective,  and it has many good reviews from parents as well as students. It’s more like a family environment type of school. This school charges 2850 USD (65.000 CZK) school fees per year. The name of the school is ZŠ Métis. Liam starts the 6th grade in September, so it is four years ahead of him. I strongly believe he deserves a school where he’ll be able to grow, study, and feel safe. I wish I was able to fund all that but as I mentioned above I do what I can to provide for him and it is not always easy with only one income.

I believe Liam should have a chance to overcome the tragedy of losing his dad and start a new chapter in a school that would suit his needs and support his talents.

I do appreciate every act of help or support. I still believe in humanity and people with good hearts. If it wasn’t for Liam, I would never ask for support.  I am simply fighting for my child’s future. I am deeply grateful for any sign of kindness.

Left in debt by husband

I started a Nursing Degree in January 2023 after working as a Caregiver for 20 years , l was not allowed to study , drive a car or have a siocial life by my husband , l married him when l was 17 in Africa , and we moved to UK over 20 years ago, l didn`t know that the relationship was not normal , he left me in 2006 and went with another woman for tw0 years , and he came back in 2009 and l took  him back , while he was aware , l enrolled for a Foundation Degree , which l finished and also did a topup to be a full degree , when he came back  he later started his controlling behaviour and he denied me opportunities to improve my life , then last year l fought hard with him to enrol for MSc Nursing program , he started an affair with a younger woman from the church where we worshipped together , in June 2023 , he left the house while l was on placement , leaving the front door broken , l paid £300 for the door to be fixed , he cancelled all the bills he was paying , leaving me in debt for force me to drop off the course , l stayed on the course and now l am on my final year, but l am struggling to catch up with the amount of bills he left. l am currently working temporary job while studying and going on placements which are compalsory. l need support to clear the bills and finish my course on the first week of December 2024 and l will be able to work and take care of myself, any donation will be appreciated.

Despite my lack of formal homeschooling experience, I am committed to learning and adapting to this new role as Hezakiah’s educator. I have already provided him with musical instruments such as drums, guitar, and piano, and it is incredible to witness how he has taught himself to play. This demonstrates his innate curiosity and passion for learning.

To ensure Hezakiah receives a well-rounded education, I am eager to learn more about American citizenship and the laws that govern our society. Incorporating a common law curriculum will enable him to understand his rights and responsibilities as a citizen, empowering him to become an informed and engaged member of our community.

Just want to be.. A GOOD MOM

Hello,

I’m a single mother. I have a 6 year old little girl. That is my world. I only want her to have the BEST. Just like all parents want for there kids.  So I worked really hard for 4 years to BUY US a New Home! I did it we was so excited. But I didn’t ever want anything to happen to our home. So I put it in my parents name. I just wanted to make sure my baby girl would be stable. But no one could take our home from us! I mean come on it’s my parents…… Well…..NOT TRUE AT ALL!! Covid-19 yes! Thats right really FU**Ed up my 🌍 World×10.  My dad got let go from his job. 2years before he gets to retire. So my Parents had to file for bankruptcy. So I lost my home in the process. That I paid for never late on payments. So my baby and I was homeless just for a min. I found us a new RENT House so we was excited. I lived in Texas and moved to Louisiana so not only our house everything is new. She went to school got friends. It was nice to see her happy again. But then my car broke down. “REALLY”? Well I did good at first getting back and forth to work. Then it got hard to where I lost my job do to not being reliable. Had to move into this small roach infested NO lights for a year house. Holes in the bathroom floor. And the walls in bathroom to. But thats all I can do with no help/Job at the moment. My daughter cries. She ask me why are we here? That it’s to small an she wants our old house back. That she hates it here. I feel so bad for her. And I try to keep it together. But I lost it. Sorry! I cried. And she said MOM I know you try everyday to help us. She is so smart. Oh! BTW I got the roaches out of here. Painted this whole house. Where its a little bit more desirable then when we moved in for sure.But asked landlord for refrigerator stove and cabinets for kitchen and my bathroom fixed. He isn’t going to do anything to help. So I have a freezer and a countertop mini refrigerator. Yeah it’s very hard. Exactly with a kid. And one that deserves to have those things. But my back is against the wall not knowing what to do or go. So here I am asking for help to get a car so I can get to work. And money to move out of here. Get another place where we can have normalcies back. And she needs Stability. Not moving school to school. So I’ll put MarleyEl back at the school she likes with her friends. When we move! I did apply for housing it’s a 8year wait list. So that’s why I’m asking for your help. So please help us get a car and moving expenses so we can start a new Chapter with NEW BEGINNING. Recovering from religious abuse/postpartum

I was married for 12 years to the Pastor’s grandson. During these 12 years I suffered mental, emotional, financial, religious and most recently physical abuse. Everything he did to me, was kept a secret from the congregation and was ignored by his immediate family. During my last pregnancy in 2022, I suffered severe postpartum depression which lead to him locking me in our room (we lived in one bedroom for 12 years- I didn’t realize till now how abusive THAT was alone, just to live “for free”) during that week, he deprived me of water, food, showering, my cellphone, and most importantly my kids. He and his brother took turns watching me, and when I tried to escape I was beat by both of them while his Grandfather (the Pastor) and his parents (also in ministry) sat there watching him drag me up and down the hallway by my hair, beating me and recording me while laughing. At the time I thought I was being punished for talking back, for being scared of him and his family and for wanting to get away from them. It took me a year to realize that what they did was wrong, I now suffer from extreme PTSD. I moved out of State away from them, filed restraining orders and divorce. I am struggling now more than ever financially trying to take care of our kids, pay the bills, buy food, and maintain the borrowed car we have. Its taking every ounce of strength not to run back in fear of being homeless. I am not asking for a handout, I am asking for humility. Please help us, my bank account is -750.00. Rent is due on the first, groceries are running out, I have a full tank of gas but the car shakes horribly if I go above 50 miles an hour. It has new tires but the axel needs to be fixed. I am trying my hardest to keep my PTSD under control so that I can live a normal life but I am in fear all day every day of everyone around me except my kids.
