Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Please read, struggling and in need of help

Hello so I’m not quite sure where to start here, this is the first time I have ever turned to anything like this, usually I’m very independent and would never reach out to anyone for help but this time things are beyond my control. So a little about myself and my situation.. I am a single mother of 2 daughters my eldest is 11 and my youngest is 3, I have recently gotten out of a long term relationship with my daughters father, I have been left with a 4 bedroom house, a car, And all of the bills to pay for, my youngest daughter has severe learning disabilities and is completely non verbal, she has no understanding of anything around her and there’s absolutely no communication what so ever. I have recently had to quit my full time job as a disability teaching assistant to take care of her as nursery didn’t have the means to be able to provide her with what she needs. This has obviously had a detrimental impact on my financial situation and with no help from their father and no family to turn to this is my last and only option, I am not looking for a miracle or to have all of my bills etc paid but just something so I can take a breather for a short while. I would massively appreciate any help that’s received. Thank you for reading. I don’t have PayPal well I do but I’m locked out of it for some strange reason so I’m hoping my bank details will work..

Hi,

It looks like a snow ball just growing and growing… I want to be able to give him everything, but looks like I will bever be able. I have sleepless nights thinking in all situations, under so much stress. I just want some financial help, someone who could genuinely help me, that I could see a way out. Also want to take my son to finally see the beach for the first time in his life, it would be a dream come true. I want to say thank you to everyone who donated. It would help me organise my finances and provide a better life for me and my son.

Planning a traditional right of passage on my own

Hello, my name is Tanya. I’m asking for help to make this small dream come true for my daughter, Aniya. I’m a single mother planning a quinceañera for her. I’ve been planning this since last year, saving money so that I can make this happen for her. Ever since she was 5 she’s dreamed of having one, the huge dress, our family and friends getting together to celebrate her. I’m sorry let me explain, a quinceañera is a huge tradition in our culture. It’s when our daughters go from being a “little girl,” to becoming a young woman at 15 years old. Like when Americans celebrate a Sweet 16 or when the Jewish community celebrate Bar-mitzvahs. As she is my world and the love of my life I truly want to make this happen for her. She never asks for much because she knows I‘m not always financially able to. I know that I won’t be able to help her with getting her first car or help her go to college, but if I can do this for her, with your help, it would mean everything to me. Like I had mentioned, I’ve been saving and making checklists but I missed a few things that I wasn’t aware of which has left me short. I still don’t have a caterer or a photographer and her quinceañera is next month, June 29th. If you can find it in your heart to help us, I would be so very very thankful. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read my letter. May you continue to receive blessings and have a wonderful rest of your day. Thank you… paypal.me/Tanya1980213

Desperate for Two Bedrooms

I have never asked for help from anyone in my life. I am an Army veteran (five years active duty and six years in the National Guard). After my time in the military I became a Social Studies teacher. The pandemic changed the teaching environment and doubled my workload. I decided to change careers as I felt like the workload was having a detrimental effect on my own kids, and I am now working for a state agency. However, in the past three years my children’s father (who is a chemical engineer and makes twice what I do) has taken me to court three times, costing me $17,565 in attorney fees. When I divorced my children’s father we did the paperwork without lawyers. In order to get him to agree to keep lawyers out of it, I gave major concessions that have really impacted my finances. He pays less than the recommended amount of child support for the income he had at the time, and he pays nothing toward daycare, activities, or health insurance. I have been trying to have child support reviewed for the past two years, but the kids’ father pays a lawyer to constantly file paperwork to put off having it reviewed. Partially due to all the financial and emotional stress from this, my current husband and I are now divorcing. Housing is extremely limited in the area where we live, and the only place that was available to me and my children was a one bedroom apartment. My children’s father is now taking me to court to attempt to take custody of my children because my apartment is “too small.” Because of their father’s custody motion, I just had to pay $3,250 to retain ANOTHER attorney. Their father is also asking the court to appoint a guardian ad litem and requesting that I pay half of the cost for this. On top of this, I am trying to pay down medical debt from having to have my tonsils removed last year and ongoing medical costs due to my son’s kidney problems. I am desperate to get my kids into a house, but my debt is holding me back. I am working full time and also have a part time job tutoring in between driving my kids to all their activities. I’m a single mother of two and I’m running myself ragged trying to dig us out of the hole my ex has shoved us into, but I’m barely making ends meet. I am trying to raise $10,000 to pay down debt so I can get my children into at least a two bedroom home. I appreciate your help more than I can express in words.

Help With Bills

Hello. My name is Brittney. I’m a single mother of one. I recently lost my job and I am hoping for some help. I’m seeking around $3000 for rent and other bills. Rent for me is $1000 per month. I’m a school psychologist and I know that I will be able to find another job for the 24/25 school year. I’ve already started applying and have applied to other things such as, food benefits. I’ve also continued to apply for any jobs that may help cover the bills over the summer. I live in a beautiful area that my daughter and I have been able to enjoy for several years. We stay busy with camping, hiking, and swimming. I’m willing to work and have worked from a young age. It’s strange to not be working right now. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling. I thank you so much for reading a bit of my story.

Single mother just evicted living on moms couch with three kids

hi my name is Heather. I have three kids recently. About two years ago I found out my husband has been lying to me about paying for our rent cheating on me, and using drugs behind my back, he got us so far in debt that I have left him, but while I was staying at a friends, he had got a job I didn’t mention he didn’t have a job for four months,  and it set us ebven further back. When I found out he was cheating by way of iohkk ok e loading his passwords to my phone it was devastating I don’t know why it happened but glad it did but also not glad I don’t know I’m happy I’m not with him any longer but long story short my landlord, instead of going g through the system. Decided he was going to evict us himself while I was away and my husband was out of town. Our neighbors who shares ten acres with us told him we had not been home so. E traveled to us and ordered two fourth foot trailers he got all of his kids to come help him move us out without our knowledge I didn’t know my now ex husband  was out of town and I was house sitting to make a little money and had my kids full time as he was doing drugs. Left him with the house. I got a email from his daughter stating that they were moving us out and I had no way to get to the house that week which they had already started to move our things. Talk about invasion of privacy. We had a lot of valuable things left behind and heirlooms two vehicles trampolines playgrounds I mean the works. We had been there for ten freaking years.  For good sake. And not to mention he was once upon a time a family friend so he just vindictively went out of his way to ruin my life because my family had a falling out with him. Needless to say we lost everything we have after 10 years, I showed up frantically as fast as I could knowing that they were about to throw everything I had away but before I knew about it, they had already started but I think that he was trying to cover his own ass by someone reach out to me to say that they were going to throw everything away but they had already done it. It was devastating to my family my lawyer backed out and another lawyer backed out. I am at a loss and I don’t know how to get a lawyer  at this point I’m scared that I won’t get restitution and my kids are absolutely devastated I just wish I had someone to show me humanity  I have no one to turn to for help I am living I. 1000$ a month government assistance and it is super hard for me to get a job right now being a full time mom I can’t trust my ex to keep the kids and my mom can’t support me and my kids she just went through divorce I’m literally shooting an arrow in the dark trying to see if there is anyone out there willing to help out someone like me. I have a son I just took half the money I get for the month to get him in foot ball my daughter has a deviated spine and my son needs dental work I spent all the money I have this month and still need gas and pay my phone bill I have nothing and I need help please if anyone has it in their heart to help out a single mother in this unique position I would be forever grateful! And I would pay it forward one day when I get my life back together. I promise to do good with any money I get and give back I love yoh all thank yoh for reading my story and I hope you have. Beauty of wonderful day and life xoxo

Single mom who needs help paying bills

Hello

I’m coming to you as humble as I know. I ran into a situation and I need some help with it. My daughter is 14 yrs old and at 9 yrs old she was diagnose with hidradenistis suppurative abbreviation is HS. Terrible medical condition of the skin. Her under arms became worse and her groin area and I was told she has have surgery. I’m a single mom and my daughter’s father was killed when she was 2. So I handle everything by myself. The surgery meant that I would be out to take care of my baby on fmla but it would be unpaid. I work for this big company who doesn’t even pay you to be out with your child when things like this happens. Yes I was shocked. I have my daughter on my insurance why can’t I get paid? It’s crazy. So the surgery had to be done in Chapel Hill children’s hospital. We stayed 2 days. I’m thinking I’m able to return to work in two weeks. We went back for her follow up appointment which was a week later and she said it’s still draining that she would need to be out longer and they gave me another appointment date. That date I go back another week later and it’s not healing right pus is coming from it so had to schedule another surgery to reopen and clean it out. Did the surgery and bills are piling up on me plus me driving back and forth to Chapel Hill which is a 2 hour drive each way was hurting my pockets bad. I had to purchase bandages and the hospital did give me some but they ran out. So I was purchasing bandages and using my credit card for gas and food. Paying the bills with the lil money I had. I signed up for unemployment even sent in documents showing them that I was on unpaid leave from my job. They told me that they were backed up and couldn’t give me a time frame when it would be approve due to the high volume of filing in the state. Almost two months I’ve been out of work taking care of my baby.  I have a home I just got my car September of last year so it’s crazy.  I’m just trying to stay afloat and not stress so much while I take care of her. I just need help with my bills until I can get back on my feet. I’m 42 yrs old I always work not lazy just this terrible medical condition happened to my baby. If you can help I’ll gladly appreciate anything. My paypal is twylabandy@gmail.com. Thank you

I am so tired

Hi. I went from having a very stable, secure life one minute to having the rug completely ripped out from underneath me the next, when I realized with shock and horror that my then-husband was sexually abusing our then-preschool-age daughter. I fought like hell to get her and I out of that awful situation, but due to her age and the wealthy parents my now-ex has, he got away with it and made me and our daughter homeless. I luckily have a college degree, and found employment as soon as I could. However, I am underwater and cannot afford living expenses because I am paying off exorbitant legal fees (I started with over $120K in debt when everything was done! Plus lost my house and most of my belongings, he somehow got all three cars, too). He doesn’t pay child support, that was his offer to let me go back to my home state and not stay trapped in the state I was in with him. I am struggling. I work very hard, and this is year 8 of working my butt off only for most of my paycheck to go towards paying down legal fees. I was living with my grandma and taking care of her in addition to working full time so we had a place to live, but she recently passed away and we are about to be homeless again. She didn’t have any money to leave me. I don’t have other family to help. I make too much for any government assistance, plus I can’t declare bankruptcy because legal debt is exempt. But I don’t make that much and besides, most of it goes towards debt. I am so tired. I am doing my best. Any and all help, even just $5, is very much appreciated. What happened wasn’t fair and I still can’t believe he gets to live like nothing happened and not support the child he abused, he got away with no child support obligations whatsoever. This was not at all how life was supposed to go. We are safe now, and that is huge, but I am getting more depressed by the day trying to figure out our impending housing situation. I have $26K left to pay off, so I’m doing good and not trying to be a victim about it, but I was able to do that because I had no housing costs, housing was covered (exchanged for elderly care). Now it isn’t and we have nowhere to go, my credit is still sucky from all the debt and I simply can’t afford anywhere with most of my paycheck going to pay off legal debt, even all these years later. Thank you for your consideration and help!! Funds will go towards a safe place to live for me & my kid and to paying off the rest of that stupid debt, debt I got into to keep my kid safe. No, I don’t smoke, drink, or do drugs. I can make a dollar stretch further than you would believe, because I have to. I hate that I even know this site exists, as my family raised me to be a giver and not a taker. This is humbling. Thanks again, from the bottom of my weary heart.

Any donation is greatly appreciated

Hi,

This is very hard to write. I am a single mother of a 4year boy and 3 year old girl. I have been hit hard with a separation of my marriage, bills and the rental I am in has been found to be riddled with termites. There is a high possibility it will be deemed unliveable. I am concerned for the safety of my children and do not have the means to find somewhere else to live. There is a huge waitlist for emergency housing in my state.

I am hoping for some assistance in donations towards the current bills I have or towards putting together some money so I can have a deposit for a small home loan. It would be a dream to provide a safe home environment for my children but I cannot do this alone.

Honestly I am very grateful for any donation

Optimistic Single Mother

At 28 years old, I find myself at a crossroads, navigating the challenging terrain of single motherhood while grappling with the scars of domestic abuse. The journey I’ve embarked upon is not merely one of survival but of resilience, determination, and the unwavering commitment to secure a brighter future for myself and my 6-month-old son.

Escaping the clutches of domestic abuse, an ordeal that nearly claimed my life on seven separate occasions, is a testament to my strength and courage. The decision to break free from such a toxic environment requires immense bravery, as well as a deep-seated belief in my inherent worth and the right to live a life free from fear and violence.

Yet, as I endeavor to rebuild my life, I am confronted with another formidable challenge – the burden of debt. Financial constraints loom large, casting a shadow over my aspirations and ambitions. Despite diligently managing my finances, the weight of debt threatens to suffocate my dreams of financial stability and independence.

Compounding these challenges is the reality of being disabled, adding an additional layer of complexity to my journey. The limitations imposed by my disability further exacerbate the obstacles I face, presenting unique hurdles that demand innovative solutions and unwavering perseverance.

However, amidst the adversity, there shines a beacon of hope – the indomitable spirit that fuels my desire to carve out a better life for myself and my son. My resilience in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds serves as an inspiration to all who encounter my story.

My goal is to pay off my debts and establish my own business to create a future for us filled with promise and opportunity.

While the path ahead may be fraught with challenges, it is also brimming with potential. Every obstacle I overcome, every setback I endure, serves as a testament to my strength and resilience. Each step forward brings me closer to realizing my dreams and achieving the financial stability I so fervently seek.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story until the end. Your support means the world to me. If you feel compelled to contribute in any way, your donations are greatly appreciated. My hope is that by sharing my journey, I can inspire others who may be facing similar challenges.

All Glory and Praise to YahWeh.

Help us to bring my litlle angel closer to me

Dear Compassionate Hearts,

I’m reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for assistance in reuniting my family. My name is kumari, a 33-year-old mother from a poor Asian country. Seven months ago, I made the difficult decision to travel to New Zealand to pursue my MSc degree, hoping to secure a brighter future for my 6-year-old daughter and husband.

To pursue my dreams, I secured a bank loan of $25,000 for my studies. However, with visa restrictions, I can only work part-time, making it challenging to repay the loan and cover the expenses needed to bring my family here. My daughter eagerly awaits their arrival, asking me every day when they’ll join us.

I am determined to bring my family together, but I can’t do it alone. I need your help. With $45,000 needed to reunite us, your generous donation, no matter the size, will make a world of difference in our lives. It will not only alleviate the burden of the loan but also provide us with the opportunity to build a brighter and more secure future together.

Please consider supporting our cause and being a part of our journey. Your kindness and compassion will forever be cherished.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your consideration and generosity.

Help Required to support kids – Single mother and job loss

Dear supporters,

Let me introduce myself. I am a mother in my late 30s to 2 children who are both less than 10 years old. I moved to the middle east last year when I got a job opportunity hoping to give a better life to my children and support my aging parents’ medical expenditures. I have been supporting my family’s expenditure as a single earning member here in the past year.

Unfortunately, after a year of trying to set up a home here with a lot of pain, I am facing an unexpected and a sudden job loss. I do not have any savings as I was just settling down with the kids. I need to now move back to my home country within a month as my employment visa will be cancelled and I will be able to go back only if I can pay the penalty rent (for breaking the contract) of 4 months to my landlord. I have sent my children back to my country already as I could not manage my expenses with them or even support them and I am looking forward to joining them without facing any legal hassles. I am worried I am stuck here in the foreign country with no job or support. I am a mother to 2 little children and they’re waiting for my return every day. I request the big-hearted people to help me pay my rent penalty and settle some pending bills here to be able to safely move back to my children.

I tried seeking the support of my landlord to waive off my penalty but unfortunately, he is refusing to do so. My company has offered to support me by buying my return tickets to home country. So, I am pushed to seek support outside my known circle for safely going back home without facing any further difficulties.

I wish to sincerely thank each and everyone who is going through this request patiently and considering to support me in such difficult times. I have dreamed of setting up a good and safe home for my kids. I fear that my current situation is making me lose my hope of giving a good life and education to them. I have pinned

My rent penalty and pending school bills of my daughter has mounted to USD7800. I would be grateful to receive funds to help me settle the amount above and if possible take some to my country to help me rebuild my family there.

Required funds for saving my family: USD 7800 atleast
