I never thought I would find myself in this position, but I am reaching out today to ask for help. Life has been incredibly challenging lately, and I am struggling to keep my head above water.
As a single mom, I made the heart-wrenching decision to leave an abusive relationship. This decision came on the heels of my father’s passing, a loss that devastated our family. I moved in with my mother to support her through this difficult time, hoping to build a safe and loving environment for my child.
However, things took another turn for the worse. The home we shared, the place we thought would be our sanctuary, began to fall apart. The structural issues were so severe that my mother had no choice but to file for bankruptcy. We lost our home and were left scrambling to find a new place to live.
Now, with bills piling up and rocketing standard of living prices, I am struggling more than ever. My savings have been drained by unexpected expenses, and I am finding it increasingly difficult to provide for my child’s basic needs. The weight of these financial burdens is overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to keep us afloat.
