I need financial assistance for College

I spent most of 2022 taking coursework that would lead me to becoming certified to work with addiction recovery and abuse recovery clients.  The course had two choices for the course, 18 months or a 9 month fast track course.  I took the 9 month course and finished in December of 2022.  The program led me to believe that upon graduation, I would be able to open my own practice, but after graduating, I came to realize that that was not going to happen.  In order to start my own practice, I would need someone with at least a Master’s Degree, or a medical doctor on board in order to work with insurance companies.  Then there are all the typical expenses with starting such an operation… expenses that I cannot cover.

Needless to say, I was disappointed and felt as though I had wasted the time and money spent getting the certifications, and the fees that I had been paying continued, and would be increasing so I took leave from the organization.  Not being one to give up so easily, I decided that I would apply to a college in order to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.  I’ve started the process… filled out an application, applied for a Pell Grant, and provided my prospective college my Associates Degree transcripts, and now I’m just waiting to see if I’m accepted.

So I am 81 years old, and that may make some wonder why now?  Well, the answer is simple.  For most of my working life, I simply didn’t have the money to continue my education beyond my Associates Degree, and quite frankly I don’t have it now, but I have never given up on the idea of furthering my education, getting a Bachelor’s degree, and going back to work.

Just before I turned 65, I lost my job, and though I had been looking for the next 15 years for a job, no one would hire me, in spite of the fact that in my occupation for 30 years, computer typesetter and graphic design, I was highly skilled.  I know that the reason I couldn’t get hired was because of my age, but there was nothing I could do about that because it would be impossible to prove.

So my only income is Social Security, and that is not a whole lot of money, and though for 2023 the cost of living raise in my monthly check put an extra $149 in my check, every cent of that was eaten up quickly, because since then, every single bill I have increased, some of the increases were substantial… especially food.  Because I was getting food from the local community center, my bill for food each month had been about $50 to $75, but two things have changed.  First, the food from the community center has been slowly becoming less and less, and lacking in variety and quality… i.e. lots and lots of rice, and unhealthy snacks.  I’m now having to spend $150 to $200 a month on food, while actually getting what used to cost me $75 at most.  Every grocery item has increased, and its contribution to my monthly expenses is getting to where it’s not sustainable, and I fear that my already tight budget is only going to get worse, probably to the point where I just won’t have the money to pay all of my bills, and perhaps my mortgage.

So as the situation stands now, if I’m accepted to the college I applied to, unless I’m able to bring my expenses down, I will not be able to pursue my Bachelor’s degree, let alone pay my other bills, and so I’m hoping that some kind person with the ability to help would be willing to help me pay off my mortgage and my solar panels.  For that I would need $140,000.  My mortgage is right around $122,000. and the solar panels, if I paid them off today would be just under $19,000, for a total of approximately $141,000.

If I’m fortunate enough to have someone who can afford to help me with this, paying off these two large bills would put approximately an additional $700 in my checking account every month, and combined with the Pell Grant, I would be able to pay for my college expenses.  Some might think it foolish to go after a Bachelor’s degree at my age, but they do not know me.  I am not your typical 81 year old.  I am very active, in excellent health, and old age runs in my family, so I fully expect to live at least another 20 years, and I have no desire to just sit and watch television, waiting to die.  My passion has always been helping others, and for the first ten years of my working life, I worked in the social service arena.  The money wasn’t great, which is why I had to go into working in the print industry, but the satisfaction I got working within the social service arena was priceless.

Thank you in advance to whomever sees my plight worthy of consideration, and should I be so fortunate, I will be forever grateful.

Bank is dropping me into foreclosure (on 11/62023)

Hi. Hopefully  you can assist me. The bank is turning me over to attorneys for foreclosure on Monday 11/6. They haven’t yet but I checked today and it is going ot happen.  Can you somehow pay it? I no longer qualify for a loan. I don’t want to lose the house because in AZ they keep your equity. For reasons I can’t explain in 400 words, I did something I wouldn’t normally do (it was 2014) I paid a lot of money down (had to do with wife’s mental state) I own only 250K on a house now values at 750-800K (don’t believe Zillow .. its not worth 900K). The payment is 1790.  (I struck a good deal) a 1300ft2 rental house here is 2500.00 a month. I do NOT want to lose this house.   You should know I have had many homes in my life, and I’ve never had an issue).  I’ve learned in Arizona the bank get to keep your equity .. and my equity is 3 times what I owe.

Can you help me, and help me fast?  I can’t get a loan .. I have no money except what I get from plasma donation.  I can pay back a loan, or I can pay it forward if you like .. I have the perfect project to do that with. I am certain I will find a great job, or (if I have to give up of getting a high pay job) I’ll start another business..but right now I need to keep the house the equity, and the low monthly payment.  I’m energetic healthy, love to work, love to learn, luckily have 2 great kids, and (so   I thought) managed money growth reasonably well. I’ve changed my mind on that.   I’ve never had a vice except exercise and James Bond movies.

Can you help and help me fast so I don’t have attorney’s fees to make it worse?

I need 8800.00 plus (if possible) maybe 2 monthe additional payment so I can fix my own train wreck.

I owned a successful business since 1998. It failed in 2020. Free lance (for former customers) covered me. That facilitated the time to find a high paying job (my skill and experience is HIGH in Electronics & related admin). In AZ electronic skills should be highly marketable. In 2021 my search began. (still quite a bit of $ investing since 21).  When a “good fit” came up I applied. Cash ran low just before the kids started college the cars old but fine, I take care of them). Luckily my kids were smart & got scholarships help which saved the day somewhat. My job hunt ramped up and I’ve spent 4 mos & spend 8 hours a day every weekday at least seeking employment; 3-4 custom a day, about 100 sent. After some rejects (2 last Friday). I sought help from 3 resume services (though my own were reasonably good).

Retirement Plan Failing

After being employed for 51 years and never un-employed, I have been laid off.

I started working and paying social Security at the age of 12. I have been employed for all but one month (due to a layoff as well). I am a hard working man with great work ethics, a veteran of the Navy, and a faithful husband. I have worked for fortune 500 companies and managed small hotels and am willing to do just about anything.

I had been looking forward to a very modest retirement but was cut short by a year. Since being laid off in a massive CVS layoff, I have not been idle. Every morning I apply for at least 3 jobs and have over 100 rejection responses.

I am almost 65 and my wife is only a month younger. All the planning is being ruined by the downturn in employment. I have never asked for anything financially in my life and have always done my best to give back and help those that have need. I find it very hard to ask but truthfully I don’t know what else to do. My wife is still working so we are not starving. My retirement plan was based on having my house completely paid off which I am now abut $20000 short of reaching. If I don’t get some help, I am afraid we will soon be forced to sell our house and move to a care home for our retirement. All I need is anything that will help me cover the monthly payments until I can find work.

My promise to you is that 1: I am no shyster trying milk the kindness of people and 2: that anything I get will be paid forward with help and service to others that are in need.

PLEASE HELP ME SAVE MY HOME!!!

It took me a while to sit down and began to write this plead for help.  I feel shame and embarrassment because I never imagined I would be in such a difficult situation.   I am losing my home due to a court order from my divorce decree.  I still haven’t processed it, my case was on October 27, 2023.  I was ordered to remove my ex’s name from my mortgage during COVID.  I did not have an opportunity to refinance my home before getting laid off due to the pandemic.  Presently, is the lowest in my life, I fight every day to find purpose & hope.  I suffer with depression, PTSD from many traumas in my life (especially coming out of bad marriage and terrible divorce), and health issues.  The pandemic has been very difficult for me to cope with.  Seeking employment as a middle-aged woman with health issues is difficult.  Not to mention finding a job with sufficient income and something I am physically able to perform. I am frightened to think about losing my home and not knowing where I would go.  Please help me keep my home.  I am helping to raise a child in my family, and this gives me the power to fight.  This is a plea for my life. Please help me!!!  Thank you!!!

I need a little help!

Hello! I am writing today with a humble request for assistance that I hope you all might consider.

As an individual striving to maintain a stable home, I find myself facing a significant challenge in meeting the financial obligations that come with my mortgage. The burden of a home loan has become a considerable strain, and while i’ve cut back to bare essentials, i still find myself needing to exploring other avenues to seek support to alleviate the financial hardship.

To give a little background about myself, for a while now its just been myself, my pup noah whos the bestest boy, and i’ve recently found myself entangled with a small kitten named noc. Admittedly i tried to take the kitten to the humane society because i know i can’t really afford another animal but they’re unable to take him so i’ve got no other choice but to make him apart of my family. I was fortunate to purchase a small townhouse at a reasonable rate which is more than enough for the three of us. We’re simple and we like it that way. Honestly noah would be fine if the only donations we got where belly rubs.

While we were doing okay for a while, inflation has been gradually chipping away at any savings i’ve built up. I’ve had repair expenses both home and with my car that have forced me to accumulate credit card debt, and while i’m always searching for better opportunities, my current position isn’t bad by any means. They just aren’t really able to keep up with rising cost of living.

The idea of reaching out for help is not an easy decision, yet I find myself in a position where the support of kind-hearted individuals or organizations could significantly impact my life. Your assistance, no matter the amount, would be a beacon of hope and a crucial step towards ensuring the stability of my home and family.

I assure you that any contribution made will be utilized exclusively towards paying off my mortgage/debts. Transparency and accountability are values I hold in high regard, and I would be willing to provide any necessary documentation to show how the funds are utilized.

Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing this request with potential benefactors, would be immensely appreciated. I firmly believe that, together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of individuals facing unforeseen challenges.

Thank you for considering my request. Your kindness and compassion would mean the world to me.

p.s. I have a picture of my pup in my pappal.me link if anyone wants to see his fluffy butt!!!

Desperately need money to continue my paintings.

Hi everyone, hope my letter finds all of you safe and well. My name is Asma Azmir. I am a mother of two little kids. My husband and me, both of us migrated to Australia almost 11years ago to live a better life. Since then we are struggling a lot to live a better and honest life. Both of us work 24/7 rotating shift in different places. Whatever we earn, it all spends quickly because living cost becoming higher and higher here. I am a painter. Painting is my passion. I do paintings in my bedroom after my kids go to sleep. I don’t have any separate space or any other place to do my paintings. We still are tenant, because we don’t have enough money to buy a house. Even though we don’t have any car. We usually use public transport. I finished almost 40 paintings. I have a dream that one day I’ll do painting in my big studio. I am desperately looking for a platform where I can sell my paintings. As I am a new starter, still couldn’t find any luck. Life is becoming harder and harder for me. I couldn’t paint for last one year just to support my family. But now we can’t effort the childcare anymore for my kids, therefore I have to quit my job immediately. Please, really need financial help. My account details: PayPal.me/AAsmama

Losing House, Losing Family, Losing Mind

Dear Benefactors,

I am a loving father of 2 (a 13 year old boy and a beautiful 3 year old girl). I am also a fiancé to a hard working and giving woman whom i support to raise her 6 year old niece. We were able to work together and purchase a house for us in the year 2019. We were blessed even though it meant that we would have to make payments for that house paycheck by paycheck. Vacations meant nothing to us. Only trying to maintain a fair credit, a shelter, and food for the family. With the little that we had, we would also want to bless those in need. Over the little years, life had hit us very hard with me losing my job and picking up jobs here and there to make ends meet.  We have never gotten married due to expenses, kids to care for, and a mountain full of bills to chase after. I understand that such is life. However, we would like to feel blessed enough to be able to achieve our goals – to bless others. In this request, I am humbly asking that at least the mortgage be off of our backs to give us the freedom to focus on helping those in need. We would dedicate our lives to ensure that others in need also receive assistance. We are almost at the point of foreclosure (2 months) and would like to keep our lovely first home. The amount requested to pay off the mortgage is $230,000.

In advance, may you be blessed beyond measures.

Desperate Care taker

For the past ten years I have dedicated my whole life to taking care of my ailing mother.
due to unforeseen circumstances we were forced to move from our home we of 20 years. The grace of God lead us to buying a new home. We closed on this new home October 28,2022. Three weeks after closing, my husband left me. This was very unexpected and traumatic.
I am now left alone to take care of my mother, work full time and pay the new mortgage of $1368.00.
My payment is due on November 2. There is no way I can possibly make the bpayment in November due to my husband cleaning out our bank account. I have $37 to my name as we speak. Between my car payment and utilities, gas and food my check is gone.
if there is anyone who can find it in their heart to help me and my mother with the mortgage until I can get a second job, we would forever be grateful. I have tried every resource I can think of to no avail. I can’t bear to put my mom in a nursing home. If I don’t figure out something soon, I won’t have any other option.
Thank you for your time and consideration in helping my familyand their financial struggles.

Sincerely,

Desperate Caretaker

To Prevent Homelessness and Keep the Family Close Together

May I thank you in advance for any consideration given to my situation, it is greatly appreciated and hopefully my plea will not go unheard.

Over the past 4 years our lives have been turned upside down after the birth of our beautiful daughter, first, I lost my eldest daughter at the age of 27 years old. She was a vibrant young woman from my previous relationship and although I was absent for big parts of her live I loved her deeply and prayed everyday that we would become close one day, but that day never came. It hit me hard and deep bringing about PTSD and depression. I had to bury this though as my partner’s father passed away from brain cancer which was very sudden and because of my new daughter and being the man I had to be strong and hold the family together and buried my pain. A short time later my father suffering from vascular dementia started to quickly deteriorate and within the year was also lost. Still buried my pain for my daughter I had my father which eventually caused me to have a breakdown. This was too much, I had faced hardship and pain but nothing like this and being a man, an ex serviceman I felt ashamed, ashamed of my weakness which has had a strain on my current relationship to almost breaking point. Then as we rent privately the condition of the property was in such a state of disrepair with mood in various rooms(bathroom, kitchen and baby’s bedroom) the dangerous state of the electrical wiring(I am an electrician) and the flat roof and main roof leaking I resorted to calling in the environmental health who assessed the property and agreed that the property was unfit for a small child. Subsequently my partner took the baby and moved into her mother’s and now lives in another private rented property but I cannot afford to live with them as they would lose the benefits that pay the majority of the rent and as my wages are not enough to cover the costs of the new rental price on top of my other commitments. I live in my works van outside which again has caused the depression to resurface and putting more strain on a very strained relationship.
I have been trying to secure social housing but my local authority does not hold housing stock and because my partner is housed they deem it as not a priority. There are places for me but they are a considerable distance away and with my work I think it would be the final nail in the coffin of the relationship and this would kill me. My bond with my daughter is the strongest thing I have ever felt as I carry her to bed every night, as my partner works part time to cover the difference in the shortfall in rent she falls asleep in my arms at night, it is the most wonderful thing there is. Now with winter fast approaching heating the home on the our money has become another strain on our finances causing more strain. I am trying to keep the family together not just for me but mostly for my daughter and feel this is now my last course of action, I am a proud man, I work hard six days a week trying to save money but it is whittled away and then back to square one with nothing. I would love to give my daughter and my partner a worry free existence, a life without struggle like any normal man that wants to provide for his family and now swallowing my pride I find myself here asking for help, enough help to give my family a chance, a life that they deserve, a home to call their own. I have a figure that would secure a property, it would need a lot of work but I can do it, I would do anything for them as I hope this letter demonstrates. If I could raise £100,000 I would secure the future my daughter and partner deserves, a home. May I take this opportunity to thank you again for any consideration shown with this plea for help, I know many people that suffer hardships even worse, suffering even greater and would understand if you find others in greater need again, thank you.

Retired Widow, In Danger of Losing Home Bought with Deceased Husband

I’m a 68 year old woman, who is in need of a financial miracle, to save my home. When COVID-19 entered this nation, it literally devastated my home and my life forever. Little did I know in the beginning of 2020, that my household finances and my entire life would change drastically. Due to these changes,  I am currently a widow, and I lost my beloved husband to the COVID virus on  September 14, 2020. My whole world was forever changed. I have not only been in emotional turmoil due to the loss of my first love, and love of over 50 yrs, but  I’ve been in financial turmoil, due to the extreme loss of income all at once. My husband was the breadwinner of the household, and his passing was very disheartening. He and I both retired when he was alive, but after three years, with very little income, it became very difficult for me financially.  So, I decided to put my house in bankruptcy to try and save the house me and my husband and I bought together.  Now that I’m in bankruptcy, I see that getting on bankruptcy was a huge mistake, so now I am about to lose my home and be homeless.  So if anyone can be a blessing to me to help me save my home, I would greatly appreciate it, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. My monthly income is $1,971.62 and my bankruptcy mortgage payment is $1,181.00 a month, so that leaves me with very little to live off of. After paying all the necessary bills,  I’m left with about $150 for the month. I have been in my home over 10 years and it is experiencing above average wear and tear.  There are repairs that are constantly coming up and if I do anything outside my budget, it constantly leaves me in a position to be short for my bankruptcy mortgage payment.  This home is the first home that my husband and I purchased.  It is a reminder of the hard work and sacrifice we both put in to be able to be first time homeowners at that time.  This house means so much to me and my family, and I just need some support, so that I will be able to keep my home and successfully pay my mortgage payment every month without falling behind due to expenses of my home repairs. I appreciate anyone that feels it in their heart to be a blessing to me in my time of need. May God Bless Your Good Deeds.

Widow struggling to keep head above water

Introduction:
Hello, my name is Deborah, and I find myself in a difficult financial situation that has led me to seek support. At 71 years old, I am facing numerous challenges after losing my job and accumulating significant debt. With a heavy heart, I share my story with the hope that it will resonate with kind-hearted individuals who may be willing to extend a helping hand during this trying time.

In 2020, my job was unexpectedly outsourced, leaving me without a stable income. It was a devastating blow as I had just started contributing to my 401(k) and managed to save $45,000 by consistently putting away 40% of my salary each month. Unfortunately, the loss of my job forced me to deplete those savings, leaving me with little to fall back on.

Adding to my financial struggles, my home has fallen into disrepair. The electricity no longer works in the back half of the house, leading to daily inconveniences and safety concerns. Furthermore, a gas leak forced the disconnection of the gas supply, making it challenging to meet basic needs. These issues have accumulated over time, making it increasingly difficult for me to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.

Currently, my sole source of income is Social Security benefits. However, the limited funds provided by Social Security are barely sufficient to cover my basic daily expenses. The outstanding debt on my home, totaling $75,000, weighs heavily on my mind and adds additional strain to my financial situation. At my age, finding employment is not easy, but I refuse to lose hope. I am actively searching for new job opportunities, believing that there are still employers who value the skills and experience older individuals bring to the table.

It is with a heavy heart that I find myself reaching out to the community and humbly asking for assistance. I understand that we are all facing our own challenges, but any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in my life. Whether it is through financial aid or sharing this plea with others who may be willing to help, your support can give me hope for a brighter future.

I appreciate the opportunity given here and thank you for any assistance you are able to provide.   paypal.me/Deborah8541

First Time Homebuyers Short of Down Payment/Closing Cost

Hello Everyone,

I’m a first-generation Haitian-American and a first-time home buyer with my mom. Due to the rising rent prices in NYC, my mom and I are currently buying our first home, which will give us more freedom when it comes to housing. My mom and mom and I have been saving up for a down payment for about 4 years now, and after finally finding a home, we are currently in a contract for a co-op apartment in Brooklyn, and we have the opportunity to put 10% down of $26,5000. However, we are currently short of $6,500 for the apartment we were approved for, and our closing date is approaching soon on November 15. We both work full-time jobs, and my mom has worked extra hours at her hospital as a CNA to help save up the extra money for our down payment and closing costs, which are an extra $6,500 needed.
Being a full-time student with a full-time job, finding an extra part-time job that works with my schedule has been challenging due to working full-time and being a full-time student. The prospect of losing the chance for secure housing as we got thus far in the home-buying process will be truly heartbreaking. As first-time home buyers, my mom and I have completed home buying courses and researched many home buying grants we could apply for, but we won’t be approved on time as they can take up to months to get approved.
It would be greatly appreciated if any help or donations could be given to me and mom in achieving our goal of becoming first-time homebuyers.
If anyone is able to help and donate, please use my PayPal, and all donations will be greatly appreciated.

Father of four young ones in need of assistance to catch up on bills.

Dear Donor,

My name is Mark and I am in need of some assistance to just catch up on some bills that have fallen behind. I am a father of four. In which I have 2 boys and 2 girls. My oldest being 10 and my youngest being 2 years old. I really don’t like the fact of asking for a hand out. It brings me to tears just thinking about it and how I am not able to provide for my family right now. I don’t want to get to deep into my story and bore you to death. I wasn’t always the best person in life. My parents got a divorce when I was 3 years old with my father getting full custody of me and my sister that is 16 months younger then me. Our mother was never in our life at all and ended up having another family of her own adding 3 more children. My father being a single parent wasn’t around to much due to working alot to take care of us. Therefore I started running with the wrong crowds at a young age. Getting arrested at the age of 16 for the first time. From there I was in and out of jails and prisons till I was in my 30’s. Mostly all due to addiction issues I have. Finally I had enough and the last time I got out of prison I got my life on the right track. Having my first son really changed me. I went on to buy my own house. Went to school to become a Marine mechanic because I really enjoy fixing things. Then I ended up starting up my own mobile marine mechanic business. While still working other jobs as well so I could pay my bills while getting the business going. Everything was starting to look up but then Corona virus came. Shutting everything down and putting a hurting on my business. I have been really struggling with bills ever since then. Just barely making it by every month. Then I got a big job that was going to help me get back on top a little bit. Well long story short job was around $15k total. In which took a little over a month to do. When I had time in between my other jobs. Well the owner of the boat I was working on paid me $2500 thru out the month I was working on it. So upon completion I had sent him a final invoice of around $12,500. In which he only sends another payment of $2500. Then goes on to tell me that he thinks it was to much money. That I didn’t have that many hours in. Mind you there was 42 different issues I had to address on the boat. Well he ended up not paying me the rest of my money. Which in total came into around $10k. Which in part has made me super behind on all my bills. I only have one more payment on my truck and it’s paid off. In which I can’t even pay that. Because I need to put food on the table. So if anyone good find it in there heart to help me and my children out it would be great fully appreciated. Like i said I don’t like a hand out and have always worked hard my whole life. Heck if I could even get a loan from someone I would be more than happy to pay it back over time with interest. I am just at my last resort. Tired of stressing and being depressed about this.
