As of October 31, 2024 our apartment complex was taken over by a new owner and property management company.  A few months before that they gave us a 30 day notice that we were going on a month to month leases and a one year lease was no longer available.  If you are not aware this is happening all over this country and it seems really horrible and unfair to senior citizens like me and or anyone else in America.
Several months ago before the new company took over they went up on everyone’s rent at least $400.00-600 a month.
On another note two years ago Thanksgiving weekend I was attacked by a dog and it knocked me off their porch and I fell at least four feet down to the concrete driveway and broke my wrist and then  I had surgery a few days later.
Since that happened I have hired a handyman John to do work for me since I was injured.  He brings in the heavy grocery bags, takes out the trash twice a week, does handyman projects for me  and picks up the mail, vacuums my apartment changes the sheets on the bed and I pay him $500.00 per month on an ongoing basis.
I’m a single 76 years young and in pretty good health and live with my cat.
There is some dental work that I need to have done and most like two partials made by the dentist because of my accident which can be several thousand dollars.
The most important thing about living in an RV is to make sure that everything is in good repair and that an inspection is done by a certified RV inspector and by a mechanic after that is completed. There may need to be a downpayment required of 10% or more because I am not trading in a vehicle.
I need to funds to move out of my apartment and to hire two men to help pack, load and unload my possessions as well as making sure that the RV is parked properly and safely as well as paying off three credit cards so I can live nearly debt free.

I never imagined I’d find myself in this position, but life has thrown some heavy challenges my way, and I’m reaching out in hopes of finding support.

I’m a single father navigating the aftermath of a divorce that was finalized just after the holidays last year. The sudden announcement on December 26, 2023, set off a chain of events that deeply affected me both emotionally and financially. Struggling with severe anxiety and depression, I lost my job in January and have been battling to regain stability ever since.

To make things even harder, the court has mandated $1,135 in monthly child support payments. While I’m actively applying for jobs and doing everything I can to bring in steady income, these payments have made it nearly impossible to cover my living expenses. I’m at risk of losing my apartment, which would leave me without a stable place for my children to visit—a devastating thought after all they’ve already been through.

This has been the most difficult chapter of my life, but I’m determined to keep fighting for my kids and our future. Hello, I’m Faith. Thank you for graciously considering us! I have been the primary financial support for not just myself but also my gravely ill son who was moved out of a hospital & put into a group home last October. I was doing very well for us, but early & mid this year, I was hit hard in 2 separate car accidents – the last one totaled my car and my back now requires surgery. So instead of working my business, I spent the majority of the year in spine treatments, some which have left me unable to even function for a week at a time. I am now facing lumbar fusion surgery.

I am a 31-year-old homeowner and a proud parent of five wonderful kids. Since birth, I have lived with Erb’s palsy in my right arm, which is a mild form of cerebral palsy. Unfortunately, I’m still in the process of getting approved for disability benefits, leaving me in a challenging situation.

I’ve owned my charming yet aging home for nearly seven years, and over that time, I’ve poured countless hours and resources into renovating it. The house, built in 1900, has its share of character and history, but the larger issues are starting to surface.

Currently, I receive a modest $500 monthly annuity, which will end in September 2025. This financial support is insufficient, resulting in a monthly deficit of $2,000. 2024 has been THE year!  My wife and I are teachers.  Earlier this year (June) my wife had to have her neck fused.  Then, hurricane season arrived.  Milton decided to take our roof.  Still waiting for it to be repaired.  Then, my back went haywire.  Instead of spending Christmas with family, we spent it at home alone.  I am currently recovering from an L4-S1 fusion.  Needless to say, 2024 keeps on giving.  Now we are preparing to repair our AC unit as it went out.

We had other minor things throughout the year as well that have basically wiped us out.  And, now, being off for the next 8 to 12 weeks, short term just isn’t going to cover it.

My name is Jerry and I’m a 2 time cancer survivor (esophageal cancer) After being diagnosed with cancer I went thru 2 rounds of chemo and 29 radiation treatments to my lower face and throat… Neither of these were successful and I required surgery to remove my vocal chords, voice box, thyroid…. Basically everything in my throat so the cancer couldn’t come back later…. They gave me a hole in my throat to breathe with and inserted a tube so I could continue to eat normally…. The surgery worked but early in recovery it was discovered the incision wasn’t closing (they literally cut my throat from ear to ear), another surgery was required and things didn’t go so well… I was in a coma for almost a month and spent another two months in recovery… I needed a month of rehab to learn to walk again as I suffered a stroke while in the coma… I eventually made as full a recovery as one can from all this and a few months later returned to work

Recently I suffered another undiagnosed stroke and am experiencing partial paralysis on my left side (im left handed) and was put out of work by my physician… This was totally unexpected and I have no savings to speak of…. I need help… words I am not use to saying.

Recently I was assaulted in my place of business and life has been a downward slide since. The last few years I worked hard to make a name for myself in my community and feel it is now plummeting. I was evicted from my building all while suffering a broken hand, tailbone and a multitude of bruises.

Since, I almost lost my house… it took everything I could scrap to keep it. I’ve now lost my truck and found out I have a water leak under the slab of my house. Praying it isn’t more then I can manage and fix although $3000 worth of a water bill is a bit scary too.
