Water heater replacement

I am a 71-year-old, 31 year Army vet.  Living on E-7 retirement and Social Security.  My water heater is on its last legs according to a master plumber I met at Lowe’s.  And I am paying for the mortgage.

To add to my woe – I found out in June that I have lymphoma.  One of the symptoms is fatigue.  I went from 235 lbs. in April 2023 to 170 presently, not dieting!  I normally do a lot of the handyman work around myself.  But due to the lymphoma, I’m too weak or tired most of the time!

I contacted Lowe’s home improvement and got an estimate for replacing the water heater – $1,588.00.

Is there any way I could get some funds to replace the water heater before it rusts out?

Drowning in debt please help me

Hi everybody, I have recently had to take out multiple loans to move away from my current city due to an abusive partner. He used to torment me mentally and beat me to the point in which I had to go to hospital various times. He would not let me go outside to work and I have no family or friends nearby to help me out of this situation. As a result of this, I had to get various high interest loans to be able to move out in secret whilst he was away and move somewhere extremely far away from him as I was fearing for my life. I have now managed to find a job but it is only minimum wage and my total loan repayments per month are £500, with my rent and bills being about £700. I ended up getting 20k in debt as I had to keep taking out loans to be able to pay to live and now I am at the point where no lenders can loan me anymore money and I have to choose between repaying my debts or paying rent/bills. Please please please can somebody give me some money to help I am extremely desperate. My total debt is 20k but any amount of money I am greatful for. I just want to be able to get on with my life and move on from the awful situation I was in. Thank you for reading. My PayPal link is https://www.paypal.me/hannahhumphray if you would be kind enough to help.

Desperately need cash

Due to my mis managing our finances, we are in desperate need of emetgency cash to cover various things in our home. I’m 74. My wife is 71. I have mobility limitations. My wife has memory problems due to TIAs. So finding work is difficult. Social Security and pension won’t cover the expenses we’ve fallen behind on. We need to cover our utility bill so we won’t lose heat this winter. Our internet and phone service may also be cut off. Our credit cards are maxed out. So we need to pay them off. I need prescription eyeglasses and new shoes. I’ve lost weight. So my size 3X no longer fits me. Therefore I need to replace my wardrobe. Our car needs to have its oil changed and I’m unable to do it myself. It also will need a new battery soon, the big kind as it is a hybrid car. Our home needs window replacement to stop heat leakage. My checking account is $1000 in the red so I can’t cover food half the month. Our dog also needs food. How much do I estimate I need? I’m guessing around $50,000 to get everything back to normal. Please send what you can. And thanks!

Drowning in big debt

Hi thank you for looking at my story.

Here it goes :

I worked as ambulance emergency nurse and as you will see I always try to look for the good in people, but tžat the end that got me in lot of debt.

I had a girlfriend who had bill problems and I took a lone to pay for here bills and to help her develop her own company. Bought her all machines and necessary items for her company to work properly. After that I needed to get a car to be able to go to the work and took another loan, and then the friend ask me to be his security for loan witch he end up not paying for, then I had to continue to pay. Also I always wanted to work on Cruise ships as paramedic, found some sites that was offering that jobs, but at the end I got scammed. I also wanted to invest in the stock market and got scammed for that as well. Last year I got autoimmune disease and was unable to work, and I had to sell my car to pay for loans. Now I returned to live with my parents because I can’t afford my own place. I can save someone else’s life, but I need help to save my own life. Thank you for reading my short story.

Lost everything.

Hello,

I am writing on this website with a very humbled heart.

I have recently lost a business I had worked towards owning for 20 years due to the pandemic and my partners walking away and left me with $1,000,000.00 in debt. My partners were family members so I did not pursue legal action towards them.

I have since had to file bankruptcy and have lost everything I had worked hard for. I do not have a car and I can’t even afford to buy the cheapest car out there. I can’t get a loan because I have no down payment and a trashed credit. I owe the attorney money I’m 3 years behind on my property taxes with a tax lien against me and I have 5 beautiful kids and an amazing wife that I’m trying to provide for.

I do have a good job it’s just not enough to cover the debt and buy a car and get back out of this hole I have found myself in.
I will be and to sell my house in a few months and that will cover a lot of debt but I’m not sure where I’ll be able to move to with a family of 7. The housing market is super expensive.

I know there are other people in worse condition than me so I feel extremely low to even ask for help but I’m at my wits end.

If you know of someone else who needs money please help them first and then if you have an extra couple bucks to spare I would sure appreciate your kindness.

As per this websites suggestion here is my PayPal link to donate. www.PayPal.me/MannyEicher

Thank you😭

Please Help Me Pay Rent And Escape Debt

To anyone reading this, thank you for taking some of your time to hear me out. My name is Kyle. I’m 34 years old and drowning in debt. I’m unable to work because my right knee is currently non weight bearing due to the side effects of a staph infection I had in my knee in August of 2019. This required emergency surgery at the time, and since then I’ve gone through physical therapy and multiple injections to help me manage. Despite getting all of this treatment, I reinjured my knee and there is enough damage to the ligaments, cartilage, and bones in the joint that I may need another surgery just to be able to walk well enough to work again.

The issue of debt comes into play because my insurance in 2019 covered only $11,000 of a total of about $30,000 in medical bills. That meant that despite working full time and paying for medical insurance, I was still responsible for roughly $19,000 because of the fact that my surgery was designated an “emergency.” While it truly was an emergency at the time, that classification in the billing made such a drastic difference in cost that I have not recovered.

I made the mistake at one point in 2020 of paying for some of the medical bills with credit cards I had, only to have the interest rates on the credit cards push my minimum payments so high that I needed a second job. Since then it has been a struggle just to keep up with rent, utility bills, and the credit card payments. This of course has only added to the problem, because I’ve been unable to make any other payments on the still outstanding medical bills.

As recently as July, I was able to walk well and was working about 65 hours a week to try paying down credit card balances and gradually chip away at the medical bills. Unfortunately I slipped on the stairs in my apartment and twisted my right knee. This did enough damage that I haven’t been able to work since. My medical leave through work recently expired because it has been more than 3 months now so my company has terminated me, and I ran out of sick time pay only two weeks after my injury. I’ve been unable to get any other work, as I’ve always done manual labor and don’t even have a computer at home.

My wife is working as much as she possibly can to keep us afloat, but our money is essentially run out and we can no longer afford to pay our rent. She doesn’t deserve to be held down because of me. Right now all I want is to get myself right so that I can start to contribute again. I’m not asking for anyone to give any more than they can. I don’t want to use this site as a way to pay for everything, just a way to get me back on my feet so that I can do my part and get back to being the hard worker I was for the past 15 years. If something doesn’t change soon, I don’t know how we’re going to survive.

I was told I should put a number on our needs to make it clearer, so I’ll just say that if I can raise $6,000 that would be enough to get our bills and rent paid for the next few months, and for me to get my physical therapy paid for so that I could have a chance at getting back to a normal life. If I can just get to that point, I’ll happily go back to working hard and tackling the debt that I have.

Thank you for reading my story. I apologize for it being so long, but felt the need to really explain myself and my situation. I will be eternally grateful for any contributions, and I promise to come back to this site and help others who have need once I am able to.

Financial Help

Blessing to you all and I am so thankful to find a site like Begging Money, who have created a platform to give individuals an opportunity to be heard and assisted. I would like to start by saying thank you to those who have taken the time to read my post or feel in there heart they would like to help.

This is a humbling experience for me as I have always been the helper and giver. However, with life taking me and my husband on a journey I would have never thought it would have left us in a place where I had to put my pride aside and ask for help. I am a stay at home mom of 3 boys 13, 11, and 5. My husband is the provider who traveled for work and at times would have to be gone for months. This is why we agreed that I would just attend to the kids at home. On June 2, 2023 he was let go with no warning as they told him they were going in a different direction. This was a extremely hurtful as we already was just making it but as long as we had our necessities we were ok because we truly believed things would get better. Then the domino effect began. We began to use our credit cards to manage bills, gas, household items, food, and clothing as well as sport fees for our children. As we tried to keep up and find small jobs here and there to manage it became out of control. All credit cards went delinquent, medical bills start pouring in, business license expired, auto insurance got canceled, boys had to stop playing sports. It hurts more when it start to effect my children as we tried to keep them out of it an allow them to continue their normal routine. I didn’t have the best upbringing and that was the last thing I would have ever wanted them to experience. We still tried our best to stay positive as we felt it was a life transition that would leave us in a much better place once it has passed. However, its 4 months later and now we’re  receiving 3 day notices for rent which is the worse feeling ever and have had our utilities shut off. There back on for now as I am paying small fees just to avoid the cutoff but the total bill is getting out of control. Seeking assistance in my area seemed hopeful until you finally reach hold of someone to only say they don’t service your area or no longer have funding.  I am at a lost, my husband finally got through to unemployment but leaving in California and getting $250 a week isn’t enough and not to mention they haven’t even sent him a check yet. Our rent it self is $3150. I am not asking for much just to help us get caught up which I know is a lot. At this point anything helps. Not to mention we tried taking out loans and because we have no real assets the answer has been “NO”! If possible my goal is $20,000. This would help us pay a few months of rent and all of our essential bills plus will give us a little more time to get on our feet. After this experience I will not allow my husband to be the only one to carry all the financial weight. I am so tired and my stress is higher then ever. All of my hope is beginning to fade away. My only fight left is for my boys. So again thank you for taking the time to read my story and for lending a helping hand. I am forever grateful for a site as such to give people an opportunity to be heard and receive help.

May those who find it in their heart to help my family out of this situations I pray that what ever you decide to give will return back to you multiply 10-fold.

We Ran For Our Lives

Starting a new life 5000 miles from home is harder than it sounds.  But my life depended on it.  In July, after five years of physical, emotional, financial, and sexual abuse, I got the courage to flee my abusive husband.

I had been told by law enforcement,  victims assistance,  and 2 judges that moving far away was my only chance of escape.

When you live with an abusive person, leaving is much harder than you may think.

I lived with a monster who left me physically disabled probably for life.  Im trying every day to get my ability to walk back, but its slow going and  I’m unable to work now becauae I cant walk or stand unassisted, due to a physical attack that fractured my spine.  I’m lucky I’m not paralyzed completely.   I’m just in excruciating pain whenever I stand or walk.

To say i was a prisoner is an understatement.

He monitored my conversations with everyone in my life.  He listened to my phone calls, read all of my messages, and would get flaming mad if he ever thought i was going to tell anyone what a tyrant he was.

Although he didn’t work, he controlled my finances, he did all the grocery shopping, and I only left the house once or twice a year, to go to the doctor.  And he would review my online chart after my visits.

During our relationship he broke my nose, my tailbone, and eventually my spine. He punched me like I was a man, he threw me , kicked me, jumped on top of me, strangled me, and banged my head into the wall and the floor.

I’m 51 years old.  I’m only 140 pounds, and having a 6 foot tall 200 pound man punching and strangling me was not working out for me health wise.

It was when he broke my daughter’s(shes 26) ribs for trying to protect me that I knew I had to make a plan.

While he was in jail I did a quick sale on my precious little log cabin, taking a loss, but hoping to save our lives.   My daughter and I gave away every single thing we owned, got in a used r v with our 2 wiener dogs and headed for a safe place.

We finally found a great little town that I love so much, and used the remaining money we had to buy a little house.  It’s a fixer upper, and we are trying to fix it up, but healing both emotionally and physically is exhausting , we don’t know much about home repair, but we are learning.

I’m so worried about money every day, and I’m a very frugal person.

Our new house is adorable, but it has its issues.  If we got any donations, we would use them to fix our leaky bathtub and the floor beneath it that is rotting out.

We would buy a washer and dryer, and a new stove because we cook on a hot plate.

We are blessed not to have a house payment, but we do have monthly bills, and until my social security disability starts I wake up in a cold sweat worrying how I’m going to pay for the bills.

We have only been here for a little over a month , we haven’t made any friends left because our ability to trust humans is damaged so we are truly all alone.  If someone took a chance on us we woumd be so thankful, and hopefully pay it forward one day.

Tha KS so much for reading this and we woukd greatly appreciate your prayers.

F.M.L.A FAILED TO PROTECT MY 9YR OLD SON AND MYSELF!

Hello, my name is Christina! Before heading into details about myself, I would like to thank you for your time on opening and just reading and listening to me vent and overall, your compassion and empathy for others. I know that one day it will be my turn to pay it forward! I truly believe in my heart that good comes from good! On that note I really must emphasize how hard this is to even ask for any help, and before you can say am I too good for help? Absolutely not, I would take any help I could get if offered. I’ve always, always, did what I had to do to get what I needed and wanted for my son and myself (not so much myself) really but I’ve just been that independant woman. although it has some bad sides to it. I truly have no other option but to ask for help! Asking for help was the bottom of my list so that I could have other options open, like applying for jobs etc.  I’ve been working for a casket factory for a few years. My job was sewing throws for the caskets we made in the factory. I really did enjoy my job and I was pretty good at it. So, I will start back when I got my GTO time (paid vacation days) which was around 52 hrs. or so, well the company polices are just crazy and a lil confusing, so pretty much boils down to being admitted into the hospital for days and days they send you home because nothing to do they take your GTO no matter if its voluntary or not.  They also took doctor apps and etc. So, it all comes to this just out of the blue I was terminated from my job! I was left with no job and no income just like that. I basically had to choose between my job or neglect our health etc. So, I chose of course our health first always my son first of everything, and went to plant manager to hopefully get help on not losing my job so I was directed to file FMLA. which was a complete joke, so I was termanate3d for taking my son and myself to the doctor and dentist. I have filed for unemployment and some other assistants but for the first time in 2yrs of not being late for car payment and insurance it’s about to shatter everything I have worked on for yrs. with building good credit, I’ve never been late. The first time I even took out any loan on something, my home is paid for that I paid myself. I worked so hard and I’ve always tried to do the best I could. I know I have just gone on and on about my details that I so much appreciate a lending ear. just to actually talk about it and relief my stress by talking about it helps a lot too, because I don’t really have friends my mother and sister both passed 2 yrs. are gone and I would never tell my son what’s going on in detail so it would stress him. Oh, my goodness I was worried about not being able to say anything. must be just letting it out. So, on that note of appreciation It would be an amazing answered prayer if anyone could please help me conquer this rubbish rocky road that I’m trying so hard to pick up the pieces and save what’s left of yrs. of hard work and rebuild our path to ho0pefully get closer to our goal of moving to Tenn. where we have family! So, I’m asking for any help with bills, food, household items to gas. Thank you so much for your time!

Attorney Fees for Probate Litigation

I am a service-disabled combat veteran and mother of two. My beautiful mother passed away on 9/25/2023. She was employed with McDonald’s for 30 years and resided in Florida. I moved to Florida 2 years ago so that my children could be near her. I left for the Army only three months after high school until around 26  years old. My mom was 18 when she had me and I have two younger half brothers. She was married to my stepfather for 19 years.  After being informed my mother had no will, I attempted to request her estate information from my stepfather. Intestate Succession laws dictate that her beneficiaries receive half her personal assets. He has not probated her estate and did not anticipate me understanding what an estate was and that I aware of my beneficiary rights. He knew that it would be expensive to litigate the estate in court and has continued to breach his duty. The situation is worst because I am not from Florida and he is a police officer. I am being intimidated and he has had the vehicle gifted to me from my mother voluntarily repossessed even though it was in her name. I am unaware of where the vehicle was taken or where it was being financed. This is a blatant and bold attempt to hinder my progress and intimidate me. I have spoken to litigation attorneys who believe I have a solid case and need to get the process started immediately. It will cost around $5,000 to retain the attorney. Another $5,000 will assist with any court costs necessary to force my stepfather into Probate. I am my mother’s first born and only daughter. He believes his daughter that lived with him and my mother for three years,  is entitled to my mom’s assets despite the law saying otherwise. These funds will be distributed to my attorney and every little bit helps. My mothers love was unconditional and he has chosen to not only dishonor her wishes but to also break the law. As a police officer, he has to be brought before the court to face his actions. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. $JLMarie33

A mother in a very difficult situation

I moved to Turkey after getting married in 2017. I am Sultan Yıldız, born and raised in the Netherlands. After my first child was born, my wife and I decided to move to the Netherlands. When we moved to the Netherlands, I was pregnant with my second child and my wife returned to Turkey to complete the remaining work. I gave birth to my second child in April 2022. We were staying with my parents at that time. Before giving birth, I sold a jacket to help my wife financially and sent her all the money I had. After my son was born, I struggled to find a home and finally found one. It is a very beautiful house but the rent is very expensive. I entered the job with my diploma, which I received at the time, and I bought all the items, some of them with debt, of course. My wife came to the Netherlands again and is having a hard time finding a job because she does not speak the language. Right now, I’m living alone and I’m in debt because I can’t pay the rent and insurance. It’s very heavy. It’s like there’s a very heavy burden on my back. I pray every day that if money comes from somewhere, I can breathe easier. Meanwhile, my children grew up. My daughter is 3 years old and my son is 1.5 years old. I love them so much, but I cannot fulfill their wishes. I was in such a difficult situation that I couldn’t even buy a birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday.

I received bad news last week. The owner of the house will sell the house in 2 years. And right now it is impossible to even find a small house for rent in the Netherlands. Our only option is to buy a house. But it sounds like a joke.

But I didn’t give up and I won’t. Because there are many good people in the world. and I believe that they will give me the support that my family and friends do not.

Thank you very much for listening to my story.

PLEASE HELP US STAY OUR HOME

hi, my name is Ashley. I have two daughters age 13 and 17 due to COVID-19. I was left without a job back in 2021 which was the beginning of me getting behind on my bills. I applied  for Social Security again I have Sever Dishydrotic eczema or atopic dermatitis all over but mainly on my hands which cause my hands to constantly bleed  and  break open. I was denied in 2010 but  this time they 100% approved me. I got approved back in March they gave me a portion of my backpay, and then sent me a letter and told me they were giving me the rest in six months I paid some money to my landlord. I paid my family back for helping me. I got my car fixed. I bought my kids things they needed. So six months later I called social  security office to see when I would be getting the other money. They told me they reduced the rest of it to $754. I’ve been promising my landlord $5000 for six months now which is a little less than what I thought was left . So my lawyer appealed it and I’m waiting . There was also an appeal that is currently underway about dates that were messed up on my paperwork which caused my back payments to be six months less.  My  landlord has really just lost her patience and she gave me a three day notice. Which I really can’t blame her because this has taken way too long. And she’s been more than understanding I have to either pay what I owe or be out November 10 or she’s filing an eviction. I get $1031 a month and that’s for me and my two teenage daughters I’ve had zero luck  finding another place within my price range. I just need a little help so I can just start fresh and start at zero I know I can keep everything on track now. If anyone here could please help me and my kids I would greatly appreciate it thank you so much. My PayPal is
