Disabled & urgently need a little help please.

I am in need of assistance.   I never thought I’d find myself in the position to ask for help.  I was married for 21 years & have 2 children.  We divorced in December 2021 (due to my husband’s infidelity).  Prior to the divorce,  I was the Owner/Operator of a small cleaning business for 23 years.  I worked 5, sometimes 6, days a week cleaning 4-6 houses per day for 23 years.  The damage it did to my spine & shoulder left me disabled @ 49 years old.  I took steps from 40-49 to do everything medically possible (and still continue my endeavor for relief), but my doctors say there is nothing else that can be medically done at this point.  I even have an implanted device in my spine.   I’m no longer able to do physical work & am only suppose to lift 10 lbs.  I can only sit/stand for so long.

After the divorce,  I received a lump sum & a 401k for the divorce settlement.   I used the lump sum (which wasn’t a lot) for a down payment on a condo.  The 401k was transferred to my name & the rules state that as an alternate payee, I can not receive funds until my ex-husband reaches 59 1/2.  He will be 59 1/2 in 2032.

My children are now over 18 since the divorce.

After moving into my condo,  things started breaking down & bills are piling up.  I’ve been trying to keep up & I’ve ran out of money.  My SSDI barely covers my monthly mortgage.  I collect $1031 per month from SSDI. I also receive a small amount of alimony per month.

Since I moved into my condo I’ve had to pay out approximately $25,000.  In addition, my heat doesn’t work & I live in Wisconsin.   I can’t afford to even call someone out to find out what the problem is.

I’ve had to replace or repair:

Waterheater

A/C unit

Garage door

Garbage disposal

Washer/dryer

Dishwasher

Thermostat

Plumbing issues in bathroom & kitchen

Tires & brakes on car

All of these things (plus addition of smaller things) with the addition of monthly bills being more than the money coming in, has left me needing assistance.

More than that, it gets very cold during Wisconsin winters and winter is fast approaching.  Last winter I had problems with my pipes freezing.  I tried to run multiple small heaters & my electric fuse keep tripping and shutting down all the electricity to my condo.

I’ve been trying to work some sort of P/T job to bring in extra income.   However,  everything has piled up so quickly & now  credit cards are due (balances are high).  It just seems like I need a boost, a break… something!

I continue to try to better my situation & actually have ideas about doing voice over work to make money.   However,  I need equipment (laptop, editing program,  microphone, sound proof room) & to be able to make a small home studio in a closet to do the work.  I have to establish myself by doing voice overs before I can make any money working in this field.

If you are in the position to help,  I’d be so grateful.   When I was doing well,  I paid it forward & can only hope someone will help me now.  I’d love to be able to help others when I’m able to again!

Thanks for listening.   God bless.

My car is my job

Hello,

Allow me to thank you so very much for reading my situation. I hope one day I can be on the other side of this.
My car broke down . My vehicle is my job and I’ve been out of work for a week and a half. My job is serving people for court summons. I use my own vehicle.  I also deliver food through common food delivery hubs which makes up 20 percent of my income. So I just need $250 to fix a part on my transmission. Its the control module. I can send it in to get repaired. I already took it out of my car by watching you tube videos on how to. Ive lost over $2500 in earnings already. I have a toddler to raise and Ive been trying to save for a place to live. We are staying with others now, so we are not homeless but I desperately need to get back to work. Even a dollar helps. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and compassion.
Below I have left a link for donations.

Sincerely,

JH

Emergency Repair Request

Hello,

I’m a single dad with 3 children. I recently called a plumber because my toilet and sinks were backing up. They showed up and used a router to clear the main line. When that did not relve the issue they sent a small camera into the line to check for any blockages.  It’s been confirmed now that the main sewage line from the house to the street must be dug up and replaced because it has collapsed. I have recieved 2 quotes $6200 and $6000. None of this cost is covered under my home owners policy and have no savings. I have just finished a very messy divorce and used my savings to pay off debt that I did’nt even know I had. Since I have full custody of my children I pay for after school daycare. My whole house is backed up and I had to move into a local motel with my 3 kids until I can get the plumbing fixed and back in order. This is a last resort effort but I have no family here and can not borrow money from anywhere. With the hotel costs and food expense I will not be able to pay my mortgage on the 1st. There is a real possibility of the whole thing spiraling down to a point I will not be able to recover from financially. I would truly appreciate any help offered as well as the chance for me to pay it forward when this is resolved and I’m back in the house!

Anything Will Help

Hello, my name is Linda and I’m a single mom of a 19- and 11-year-olds. Twelve years ago I made a big transition and moved to another state with my then-seven-year-old and pregnant with my youngest child. I moved because they put me on bed rest and I was extremely stressed out and was at risk of a miscarriage. It was difficult being in a new state with no family, but I made good use of my time at home and started to take my prerequisites toward my degree. During that time finances were rough, but I kept my faith and knew my children and I would be ok.

Fast forward to now, my oldest attends one of the country’s top universities, so you know it is pretty costly. She’s in her second year and will continue until she can become a defense attorney. I’m really proud of her and will do anything I can so she can live her dream.

My youngest is in his first year in middle school and when he was 5 or 6 I noticed he was having difficulties with reading and had him evaluated for Dyslexia. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with it and it has been a struggle. Anyone that knows about this learning diability knows that depending on the severity it’s really difficult for these little ones to learn how to read, but by the grace of GOD someone was placed in life and just so happens her best friend is a reading teacher and tutors students with Dyslexia. She was a blessing sent because IEP and myself just wasn’t enough for him. Since he started tutoring we have seen some improvements, but he has a long way to go until he reaches his grade level . Im asking for help due to my oldest tuition that’s not covered by aide, tutoring being $630 every three months, and food being soo expensive

I am extremely grateful for any amount that can be donated.

Donations excepted at:

Nice pretty mom needs help buying a house and a car

Hello, I am a nice, pretty, divorced mom. I have great kids and desire to raise my family in a happy, healthy, secure home.
I am employed full time at a career that I enjoy, thankfully.
My father offered to let me buy his house, as he is newly married and moved in with his wife. I am so excited about buying a permanent home for us, but need help paying for all that it entails.
Also my car is old and in need of a lot of repair. So I need a new reliable vehicle as well.
I rarely receive child suport from my ex-husband, but do allow the kids to see and talk to him when ever he is able.
I’ve been trying to take care of my faimly by my self, and not really on anyone else. However it is very challenging and stressful.
As you see, I need your help to do this to ensure that I can pay for our home and have reliable transportation for us.
If you would help me I’d be so happy. It would take some of the burden off of me.
thank you in advance.

🚙Car Refinance – Single mom new start!!!

Hello my name is Brooke Toomer. I am desperately looking for some assistance to refinance my car. I recently went through a divorce. I am financially supporting myself and my 2 children with my income only. Cost of living has increased drastically, my mortgage alone drains almost all my monthly income.

I have a current auto loan with a terrible interest rate 21% YIKES. Making my payment 575.00. I am looking for help to refinance my auto loan so my payment is more in the $250-$300 range.

My car is a 2019 Kia optima, I owe $17,550.

I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to refinance my car. I need my car to commute back and forth to work, along with transportation for my children to their sports, orthodontist and dr appointments.

Please help me get my car refinanced. This would take so much stress away from my mind. The divorced itself has left enough emotional trauma. I am trying to start my life over and find happiness again in myself and my children.

Thank you

A Series Of Unfortunate Events

Where do I start?

I am 24 year woman, with a good head on her shoulders. Coming from a rough background the hardships me and my siblings experienced did not define our upbringing. We have always kept our noses clean and stayed out of trouble, due to watching our own loved ones frequently getting in and out of trouble growing up from a very young age…

That all dramatically changed in October 2023…

As a self employed woman living on her own, I’ve experienced by far the most feared thing as a young adult in this economy. Starting from the beginning of October my car, although an older model (2013 Ford Fusion), very well taken care of decided to completely stop driving while on the freeway, during rush hour coming back home from vacation. As you can imagine, while on vacation funds were properly managed to splurge while still allowing myself to get through the rest of the month worry free. Getting inside my car to drive home from my vacation for it to die on me completely, stranded alone on a busy freeway was not part of my monthly financial plan of October. Im a lot smarter to not have money on side incase of emergencies… However, I underestimated the greatness of how an emergency could get. Fast forward a week and several failed car appointments I decided I couldn’t put any money into my vehicle and sold it an extremely low price due to the transmission. Ive never even realized how this was the very least of my worries with the events that shorty followed within a few days.

In the midst of madness between not having a vehicle, I am currently fighting my student loan that is dramatically decreasing my former pristine credit score, from a school that is no longer existing, I have not been called or emailed to continue paying my student loan and therefore its greatly impacting my credit.

Booking expensive Ubers and Lyfts back and forward across town to speak to banks and doing whatever I needed to do with going forward with my first financing on a used vehicle, everything seemed to slowly fall back into order, when I woke up to a call that my 17 year old baby brother is being arrested for murder he did not commit, it is with proven facts he is innocent, however they still are detaining him with a state issued attorney. My brother is the sweetest kindest kid who would never harm anyone he’s always sticking up for his family and the “little guy”, he just happened to have one bad friend who just didn’t think about the position he was putting everyone in. With the local police departments initial report and backing evidence he was purely in the wrong place at the wrong time and completely out of his control as an unlicensed passenger in a vehicle. As charged with open murder they are still detaining him as an adult on 23:1 lockdown. My brother is being so strong but he is not the kid to be sleeping next to murderers and high crime criminals. He is so very scared but holding it down for his mom and his sisters because he knows this just as confusing and shocking to them as it is to himself. My brother needs his own attorney, a good one. He has a severe learning disability that is noticeable after a short conversation with him while he still talks normal and may seem like he is comprehending everything around him it is all a facade inside this loving boy who is deeply hurt and feeling alone as he entering a new phase into adulthood. We went days without knowing a single thing or hearing from him and due to illness my mother was unable to go with him to be questioned, who knows what kind of intensive questioning and false information they tried to manipulate my brother with to define him as the worst kind of all criminals… A murderer, we are thinking the absolute worst while trying to remain hopeful.

So as you can see my struggles have just about overcame me. Me and my sister are doing everything we can to find him a good lawyer to take his case and while we do that a car is needed. Im never one to ever asked for help as it is a pride thing for myself but I’ve quickly realized how dire our situation that I needed to put that aside instantly I know that myself and sister can not do this alone my mother is not working and on a very fixed income and practically bedridden, coming from a family of incredibly strong woman this has nearly broke us down very quickly. We have no idea how we are going ever scratch the surface with all of this because it is only the beginning. We appreciate any and all donations greatly as they are much needed during this time for us. We are keep our family, and everyone else involved in our thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.

Thank You so much for reading, and also your kindness.

Veterinarian Bill, & Car Payment (The vet is overdue)

I currently work at a hotel, (not sure if I’m allowed, or should put the name of the hotel in here) I work the front desk night audit part time. Normally I am able to pay my bills, and there’s no issues, but this month has been rather unpleasant, with everything piling up on me and living paycheck to paycheck I had to reach out for help.

I recently had to take a trip to the vet for a couple of my little one’s. (pet rats, I have 7. Their names are Gus, Tup Tup, Sniffler, Tinker, Eep Eep, Zoop Zoop, & Carrot, they are my world)! Eep Eep, and Carrot had the starting symptoms of respiratory infection, which is very common among rats. Their symptoms were minor being that they had porphyrin on their fur behind the ears. Porphyrin is a red substance secreted from the nasal cavity that looks similar to blood. I believe it originates behind the eyes, (if I’m not mistaken) and is secreted through their eyes and nose. Now, seeing this behind their ears, back of neck/shoulders I knew how it got their. Rats groom themselves quite often throughout each day by licking their paws, in doing so the porphyrin from their nose transfers to their paws and when they reach behind their ears on top of their head to clean themselves. The porphyrin is then transferred from their paws to their fur on the back of the neck behind the ears.

I had noticed the fur behind their ears had been lightly glossed red for a couple days and decided to make the call to my vet. Now, thankfully they were able to get me an appointment and bill me afterwards to pay it later. (The bill is overdue for $75 and some change as of the 21st October).. They gave me antibiotics suspended in water to be administered orally through a little syringe. Eep Eep took his meds every day without much fuss, but Carrot on the other hand was a little stinker! He’s the baby of the colony and naturally very restless and squirmy in general, especially when I hold him. But boy did he squeak, and squirm and fight me all the way every dose I gave him that week.

Normally as I said I am able to take care of the little one’s and handle my bills with what little I have but, with the cost of food, gas, phone bill, this, that, I am unable to make the payment this month to the vet. Now I am also worried because I have no idea how I am going to be able to pay for my car note either, that’s another story, a $250.oo story. Originally I was driving my dad’s old car, he gave it to me after he bought a new one but someone tried to steal the catalytic converter on it and ended up slashing the coolant line in the process. I got both of those fixed and thought I was back in business but the mechanics didn’t realize that the coolant leaked into the cylinders of the vehicle and after about a month the car was in bad shape again. They said it needed a new engine so I was faced with getting a car on the lot there at the dealership where I take the car to get serviced. So, I got the Corolla and they took the old car for 250 as down payment for the loan and I drive off with a working vehicle without having to put any money down. The only catch is obviously the car note for $250 a month. Normally I can pay it and I do pay it but again I’m falling behind fast this month and I really need help.

I’m asking for $325.00 pay the $75 vet bill that I am behind on and $250 to pay the car note that I will be behind if I am unable to find a solution. Thank you for taking time to read my story, and for any support you can provide.

Thank you, for your time

Hello, I am a single mom and have been for over years. I am asking for help with my bills mainly my electric bill and my mortgage. Everything I did for my 3 boys, I did on my own. I had my grandma help until she passed. Then I was on my own. I never had nobody to help me, not even my mom. If I had no money to pay her to watch my boys when they were younger then she would not watch them. Luckily I was able to get on a program that would pay for my child care but when I got cut off the program and couldn’t pay her anymore. I had no babysitter. I never had anyone to ask for help. Only me all my life. I would always just cry. At the same time I suffered with depression and anxiety for over 25 years and nobody ever knew. I’m 56 years now and I’m kind of struggling. It kind of got hard because when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019. I had to use my savings because my job didn’t pay out disability. I had to be out because I had a mastectomy. Then after all my treatment. I had to be out again. I had surgery to have my chemo tube temoved.I also had to use my credit cards and now I am in alot of debt. My credit score  has always been A1 since I was 18. ..Until this year. I accumulated alot of debt. I never been in this situation before..Every thing is so exspensive now.I have been through it. I had given my son my old car so he could look for work but one day a man had road rage for some reason and kept crashing into my sons car and now he longer has a car. I told him to get a job and we will figure it out with one car…Its hard because I work 45 miles from my house and have to be at work at 10:00 am and my son has to be at work at 11:40. He has to pass his job to take me to work. Then go back the other way to get to his job. Sometimes he has to be at work a 12:40 or 1:40. So he would have to drive all the way back home and then drive back to go to work…I get off at 7:00 p.m. and he gets off way before me..right now he is working part time until work starts picking up like around November. He works for DHL and the gas is killing us almost $6.00 a gallon. It’s like I can never get ahead. I try to stay stress free because I don’t want my cancer to come back. I would like for your help with my electric bill at least 3 months, my mortgage at least 3 months, help my son get a car that would help cut down on gas and stress off me and one more thing. My hair came out after I was diagnosed. It grew back but now it’s not as thick as it was and didn’t grow back like it was. The top is getting bald and the edges and the front of my head is bald. I want to get the procedure to where I dont have to ware wigs every day. I want tge procedure to where they attach the hair to my head with double sided take. I would really appreciate it, if you would be able to help me. I would be so grateful and I can  feel that someone finally heard my cry for help. Thank You

Need An Angel

I’m facing difficulties many of which disable me from reaching my goal. Taking care of my mother who’s worked hard her whole life. Losing my grandmother just this year took a lot from me. My family is important to me beyond explanation. I work hard everyday at a job where management is on the deep end of complete narcissism. Not only do they target their highest achieving employees, it’s accompanied by harassment that debilitates any integrity displayed. As well as their behavior being untouchable by any means. I push forward through these things out of necessity. As for my goal at being better equipped to care for my family. I’ll continue to strive for this no matter the conditions. I know we are accompanied in this world by demons some of us more so than others. The sight of an angel would be the perfect illumination all the same.

A Single Dad’s Winter Struggle: Providing for His Children

Hello, I’m Derek, a 41-year-old single father in the heart of a small town who faces an uphill battle that exemplifies the challenges of modern parenthood. I’m a devoted father to my two young children, a 6-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son, who grapples with the pressing issues of rent, food, and heating as the winter season approaches. Our life in a smaller camper has become a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity.

The daily routine is a testament to my unwavering commitment to the children.  I’m a full-time student at CSU Global working on a bachelor’s in science in Human Resource Management and work tirelessly at a low-paying job to make ends meet, striving to provide for our most basic needs. But the financial strain can be overwhelming. The camper we call home offers us shelter, but we are not sure if it is equipped to withstand the winter. I worry about limited resources to ensure there’s enough gas to keep the camper warm, which means sacrificing in other areas.

My Littles are too young to understand the depth of these struggles. I know they deserve better, but as of now, I have limited options, and the cost of relocating to more suitable housing remains out of reach.

I struggle. As winter approaches, I gain the courage to ask for help when circumstances demand it. Thank you for helping create a brighter future for my Littles and me, reminding us that sometimes, the most profound strength comes from vulnerability and unity.

Help getting into a apartment/home

All I want is to get my family back with me. About three months ago we were evicted from our apartment due too covid related issues as well as over the course of 4 years are rent doubled in price. We Just couldn’t keep up with all the late fees, attorneys fees, and added costs. Thankfully my fiancé and two year-old son were able to stay with a friend of hers in Augusta, Georgia. We were living in Clemmons NC when we lost are apartment. I have a I have an amazing job offer in Sarasota Florida but no steady transportation or a place to live, so I’m stuck in a horrible circle of doom. I’m so lost and don’t know what to do. I feel like a complete failure as a father as a significant other. This is extremely hard for me to write, I’m literally crying as I’m typing this out and can’t believe I’m sharing this with anyone. If you were to  pass  me in public you would never know what I was going through. I always have a smile on my face. I keep my issues and problems to myself you would never know what I was going through.  I’m to the point where I don’t know what else to do. I need help.  I sleep in a Walmart parking lot most nights and when I able to afford a hotel I will get one to shower and get a good night sleep. You never realize how important the little things of having a bathroom to use, being able to take a shower or  walk into the kitchen make some food, until your in a place where all off  life’s normal necessities are stripped away from you. My story can go on and on the last 2 years has been so difficult for us. I was hit by a semi a few years ago, are son has been diagnosed with autism. The list goes on and on. My name is Larry thank you for taking the time to read my story, even if you can’t help financially pray for me or send a message of encouragement. Sometimes all we need is to know somebody else is even thinking about us and rooting for us to do better.
