Two children with broken dreams

I am 34 years old i have two children girl and boy. The boy going to pre school. My family and i lived in a house that belonged to my mother. I worked as a field officer in a finance company. In march 2022 i severely injured my leg in a bike accident. Although i went back to work after 1 year, my leg injury came back again and again when i asked for three months leave i lost my job. No one gives me a job because of my disability. My mother’s house and land are mortgaged a bank loan and i have defaulted on the loan. It has been sued by bank and barred from entry. Currently i and my family live in a rented house and live very hard and my children are stuck in the middle of their education. I feel that my children’s dreams are being crushed at very young age. New Life Direction

I am a disabled veteran with a wife and four kids. I was in Healthcare for 15 years total and unfortunately lost my job during the pandemic.

I explored my options and wants and was encouraged by my friends and loved ones too pursue something that works evolve my art since I have been an artist my whole life. I ventured into the realm of tattooing but am currently practicing out of my house with clients.

DESPERATELY NEED HELP

I’m single 39 yr. old female, have no family at all or close friends to ask so here I am. I’m asking for help with my car. my car repair quote is around $6000.00. So here is the story on the car. I did not run the car into the ground I know how to maintain a car. I unknowingly financed the car that way. I tried to sue but apparently I can’t. idk why. So, little over year ago I financed the car for $12,000.00. I put $6,000.00 cash down on it. Only to have the check engine light come on BEFORE I EVEN GOT HOME! I took it to an actual dealership and had inspection done just to find out the car needs $12,000.00 worth of work! including timing chain (reason for engine light) oil leak, coolant leak, motor mounts, broken brake shoes (unsafe to drive), and several other things. I had the timing chain done for just under $6,000.00. But haven’t been able to get the other $6,000.00 to finish repairs because I’m still paying the car note so i wont mess up my credit as I’m already trying to rebuild it. So, I’m paying a car note for a car I can’t drive and haven’t driven in nine months. It costs me almost $600 to uber to work every day. and I take the bus back home. I only work at the cheesecake factory I have no extra money to save to fix it and I’m just stuck with it. I can’t even finance another car because I haven’t paid off enough on this one. I don’t want to be broken anymore.

So this is pretty hard for me to do because I’ve been pretty damn independent but I’m just losing it. I was married for 15 years, recently divorced, with 2 boys (age 15 and 10). My ex had my entire childhood (literally threatened my parents to letting him marry me at 16) and college age years in control. I worked full time to please his needs. I went to college to get a better to job to make more money because he wanted a better life than I could afford with a lower paying job. He didn’t work because he couldn’t handle taking orders from people beneath him. When covid hit, he made me suffer at my accounting job so they would fire me and I could get unemployment since they were paying benefits plus an extra $600 each week. Not that that money ever lasted for him either. Every holiday for him was more and more he wanted and if he didnt get it, it would just be a bad time. After countless painful and crying nights, I finally found the courage to leave him through the help of the only friend I had since he isolated me from my family and anyone I knew. When I left… I thought things would get better. But since I was the only one working, and my heart is too damn big, I continued to pay his bills because he made me feel like I had to. He talked me into getting a loan to help get him a car and pay his rent on top of my car and my rent and taking care of our kids. During our divorce, he sweet talked the judge into me having to give him 80% of our bank sccount and half of my retirement that I had been building for over 10 years, which I took a hit for just to pull it out for him. I think if it was only monetary abuse I suffered, I could have handled it. But the mental, physical, and emotional abuse I still suffer from him is making it hard for me to be a good mom anymore. I just want out of this cycle so I can stop feeling like he is controlling me. I just want to move on and only have to deal with him for our sons, but I can’t until my name isn’t tied to his anymore. I know it was a mistake, and sometimes I still feel like he could take me into doing anything. My therapist tells me it’s a personal version of Stockholm syndrome which just makes me feel more sick. Again, I’ve been the “breadwinner” of my life for a long time but now that I’m on my own, I just want to have to worry about my own financials, not his too.

Needing Help To Take Care of Bills and Repairs.

I am finding myself in a difficult situation. I am a 51 year old man from Missouri and I am not the type to ask for this kind of help so this is involves me swallowing some pride, but due to the situation I am in I feel I am running out of options. I lost my job due to my direct superior essentially stabbing me in the back. I filed for unemployment but my benefits were blocked by the company based on what she said and I had to a months long fight to appeal it but that too was denied by the state. I had to then use the small amount of money that was left to me by my mother after her passing. I have not received any interviews or any contact from companies that I have applied to so far for a new job and the money is running out. Unfortunately none of my family or friends are in a situation where they can help me take care of my situation even with a promise to pay back what is borrowed. Things are getting desperate and by my figures I will run out of money by the middle of next month. I am essentially at the point of choosing between paying bills and having food.

I do have one opportunity to kind of get myself back on my feet with a small property sale but that will not take place for at least 2 months at the bare minimum. What I am needing is just some money to pay bills and get groceries until this happens. By figuring these bills I have determined that I need about $8000. This includes a vehicle repair that I really need to get taken care of as soon as possible, prescription medications that will need to be refilled very soon, and repairs to a leaking roof on my home. I know that I can stretch that out for the time that I need it for. I have no kids at home so I cannot qualify for most assistance programs.

This is not something that I ever thought that would ever have to do and honestly is hard for me to do. I had always hoped I could be in the situation to help others. Disabled Veteran needs help

I was ready to purchase a house in 2021 and then got diagnosed with lung Cancer. I almost died 16 times during my 10 days in ICU in a Baltimore VA hospital after my partial lung removal, followed by an appendectomy 5 week’s later. It took about 1.5 yrs to get back to almost normal, during that time I didn’t qualify for any aid and spent my life savings just trying to stay afloat while running up my credit card Debt too. Then in 2023 my job was eliminated at 61 yrs old and I’ve been struggling ever since with other medical conditions and too early to retire I’m at my wits end. I am currently 48 years old and have two children. The two Darawans are preparing for higher education with the intention of becoming a doctor and a chartered accountant. I was disabled in a terrible car accident in August 2022 and had to be hospitalized for several months. As a result, I lost my job as a filling station manager. I have taken a mortgage loan from a bank to build my house, and since I have no income after the accident, I could not pay the installments of the loan. The loan amount I have to pay is US$7500 (Sri Lanka Rupees 2300000). At present, due to non-payment of the loan, the bank has filed a case and is proceeding to transfer my house and land to the bank. Also, my two sons are doing their education, and to prevent their mental breakdown from interfering with their education,
None of these issues have been brought to their attention so far. They don’t know any of this. I cannot spoil their future dreams. My wife suffered an emergency 8 months ago and underwent abdominal surgery, she is still receiving treatment. She also has no job.

On June 07, 2024, the case related to my loan will be heard for the second time in the Badulla District Court, where the verdict will be announced. I must repay the loan amount on or about 07 June 2024. Currently I am in no position to repay the loan amount at all. Due to these reasons I am in a desperate situation and losing everything I have earned so far, the future of my children will be very unfortunate. Since they do not know any of this, I cannot imagine what situation they will be in. There is no point in living as a loser in such a situation.

I never thought of making such a request from you, the generous and kind-hearted people of the world. However, the critical moment is approaching me very quickly. Since I have no other option at this moment, I thought of directing my present situation to you, the kind-hearted, generous ones.
