I never thought I would ever find myself in a situation where I am asking people for money.. but I decided to look at this in an objective way and see the positive and not just focus on the negative aspect of this. I am currently a mother of two children, working full time as a substitute teacher and happily married. I just finished my masters degree, but planning to go back to school to work on my teaching credentials. I am hesistant though because I have over 150,000 dollars in student debt. I have always wanted to know what it feels to be financially free and not worry about money. I have worked very hard to get to where I am academically and career wise, but I feel like it doesn’t really show financially. As you can imagine, teachers don’t make that much money, substitute teachers make less. I don’t work during summer months and don’t get paid at all. I have numerous bills that are past due and some I even let them go to collections because unfortunately I am unable to pay for them. This has really hurt my credit. I have always found it necessary as a parent to accept all the loan award that I was offered by financial aid. Unfortunately, this has led me to owe over $180,000 dollars in student debt to be exact. That doesn’t even count the extra two years that I will owe once I am done with my teaching credentials. I come from a low income family and my parents were not in a great financial situation to be able to help me pay for my education. Everything that I have achieved has been through my own efforts and perservearance in order to give my children a better future.
My husband doesn’t make that much money either. I try my best to support him with the bills, but during summer it’s so hard and if anything I just make more expenses out of his account. He is unable to help me pay for my student loans at this time. Due to money issues, we haven’t been able to move out of our 1 bedroom apartment. I haven’t been able to take my kids on a well deserved vacation. I dream of the day where I can live peacefully and not worry about money problems. I started my own youtube side business recently doing videos that are related to intuitive spiritually.. but lets be real.. it will probably be a while until I see any kind of money coming from that if any at all. I really hope that someone on here can help in any way.. I have tried my best to minimize costs and unecessary expenses, but it’s hard to do that when you have children. During summer months, kids want little treats here and there.. and expenses do go up a little more since they are home more. This also includes, electricity bills, more grocery expenses, more gas bills in order to drive them to swim class or other extracurricular activities to keep them busy. I am humbly asking for any support… All of this financial stress is making me feel hopeless and thinking that we wont ever get to have that white picket fence dream. I don’t think we should be worrying about money problems. My husband and I area very hard working people, we are kind, help people when they need help. Now I feel like we are the ones that need the help. There is so much I want to do but don’t have the means to take the necessary steps. I just feel like it’s always one thing after another. When I do work during regular school year, I can’t even save any money because I am too busy trying to catch up on paying outstanding dues. I want to better support my husband with the bills, I want us to move to a bigger place, I want us to repair our credit, I want to be able to plan a family vacation one day, pay off my student loans one day… but of course all of that requires money to do so. Hey! My name is Taylor and I’m a single mom to a wonderful 2yr old boy.
2 years ago, we lost his father due to suicide and have been trying to make ends meet. It’s been a struggle with the rising rent prices, and many other rising prices.
Recently, my car bumper has fallen off and damage was done by a “friend” of mine. Damage done is the radiator support bar, bent support for the front of the car and tire. They will not pay and continue to tell me they didn’t do any damage to my car. They were high on heroin, meth, and fentanyl and would take my car keys during the night. I regret letting them into my home and more. I kicked them out a few months ago and still have not received any type of payment to fix my car. The cops can’t do anything and neither can the insurance company. Currently, the price to fix my car is about 11K and some change.
With me working full-time and going to school full-time, I only make enough to cover rent, bills, daycare, and necessities. I don’t make enough to fix my car, or get a new car. This car is a necessity since we live in an area where driving is needed to get places and there is no bus system.
I want to get back on my feet and not have to worry whether or not my car is going to break down and we won’t be able to get places.

Greetings. I am the only survivor of a family of 4 who they all past away due to bad health conditions. My father has passed away in 2016 due to prostate cancer,my mentally handicapped sister died in 2019 due to stomach cancer & my elder mother in 2020 due to bone cancer. That is my story as of the past year, I found courage to leave a bad situation and knew it was going to be a challenge but I accepted that and knew regardless I had to move on and escape the insanity that I was living and Ihad been doing it, making all the bills all by myself in a home where in middle class definitely needs two incomes. Then, a friend needed help so of course because thats what friends do if they can I did, and they left me hanging knowing I will lose my house and have already had pge/electricity shut off with two children in the home…
Thankfully i had a generator that connects to the house ESPECIALLY WITH THE HEAT!
I honestly don’t kn0w what to do or where to turn and then I just happened to come across this site.
I am going thru a divorce a mentally exhausting deal when your ex would rather you be homeless with the kids than let you walk away. But add to the fact that I worked for him and never received a paycheck and he was in control of our money so I left with NOTHING and NO SAVINGS
Then I have no lawyer for the divorce and he does also no one to help due to the fact I’m in the mountains states away from anyone I call family and he wants to try to take everything, Everything I came into the marriage with well what’s left of it and all that I HAVE PAID for and then some and because I don’t have a lawyer, and he may just get it in the end if I can’t get some help somewhere and FAST!
I have the home we lived in only because he didn’t want to pay the bills here so I kept it and have made it over a year paying the bills working online cleaning homes doing errands and whatever to get it and would have been ok had I not loaned out money to help another in need and it felt good to do so until he didn’t hold up his side of the deal and even knowing I could lose everything!
I don’t have my mortgage paid for this month 2,400 and they pulled out the money from last months mortgage of 2,400 due to the help I so humbly gave to someone I had trusted!
I’m not on a normal loan, otherwise I would have some options I’m on an owner carry meaning I took over their note and my second mortgage is the amount that goes directly to the seller.
I’ve had loan offers but because this divorce is still closing no financer will touch it and neither would I sign with the ex or go in on the airbnb with him, he’s done enough for me to know 100% that he would just take all he could and leave me with nothing if given the chance unless I gave in and went back with him. Why someone would think a woman would go back to them if they basically strong arm them idk or why they would want her back because clearly she only did so to save herself and a matter of time she would get away again…
I do have a silver lining if only I can make it and I am very familiar with airbnb, Verbo home rentals, their process how to manage it, like I said above I also have investors ready to go upon the divorce to help out if needed or I can get a grant being a woman business owner but its all contingent on me getting the divorce final and paying the bills this month, the home is a beautiful 5bd 3ba right on the lake with pool and Jacuzzi within walking distance to the lake or the mountains when it snows for skiing its a year round win win. There are a few other Airbnbs with places similar to mine but smaller in the area and they make a killing!
My home is estimated to make 180,000 a year, base income so with the pool Jacuzzi and extras it ups the price and I can always charge over or under their recommendations its all up to me.
So I have a plan and am so close to getting it or LOSING it all because of money and only 10,000 and i would be back on track and close out the divorce in a few weeks
So here I am begging someone to please help me from losing my home and my only hope for the future….

For personal reasons I am leaving mine, my fiancé’s and daughters’ name out of this letter due to privacy; I am very protective over my daughter and choose to keep her off of all social media platforms.
I am a 26 year old first time stay at home mom, with one daughter who is almost one.
This past year my fiancé and I have been struggling to save money, with the tax increase, and rent increase, we have been just managing. I have a Citroen Relay campervan called (Mustard) who is temporarily resting due to a few repairs that are needed. I have owned Mustard since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, she was a lockdown project that I brought to help with my mental Health and keep me busy refitting her out. I spent a lot of hours using skills and learning new ones…she’s not perfect, but perfect to me.
