Hi my name is Kimberly, I am humble enough to ask for help from strangers to help me with a down payment, first and last months rent for an apartment for me and my 3 year old Allie. A few years ago I found myself in jail facing serious charges on a first degree felony charge. I was looking at 25 to life and worst of all my daughter had to be in the care of my sister while I was in jail facing charges. One story short my mother was able to get me a good lawyer and all my charges were dismissed due to the fact my mental state was the factor of the crime I caused. I suffered from schizophrenia and post pardom depression and tried to end my life while my baby was 4 months old. I couldn’t think clearly and I was losing a mental battle with demons taking over my thoughts I believe. But God walked me through almost a year in jail waiting for trial and also brought me and my daughter back together when she was 16 months of age. I’m beyond grateful and blessed to be her mother and in her life, y’all just don’t know! Me and my daughter are currently living with my parents and I was able to receive my TWIC card and find a decent paying job at one of the industrial plants here in Texas. Before my mental breakdown I’ve always had my own and never had to ask for help unless I really needed it. I need help getting a place for me and Allie so that we both can be comfortable in our on home and with me raising her. My parents don’t have the means to help pay for me an apartment and I don’t know where else to go for help. I’m not even qualified for Section 8 either so everything has to come from my own pockets. I hope this message finds you well. I am a semi-retired 70-year-old former full-time educator who has dedicated many years of my life to teaching and nurturing young minds. After retiring from my full-time position, I returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher. With my retirement check, social security check and the income I earned from substitute teaching, I was able to keep my bills paid and maintain a stable life.

However, substitute teaching positions are not available during the summer months, and unfortunately, I was unable to secure a summer job this year. This has put me in a difficult financial strain and situation where my current funds are insufficient to cover all my expenses. Specifically, I am struggling to pay my bills, rent, car note, and car insurance.

I am actively seeking alternative ways to manage my bills, including considering payment plans for some of my bills that I can put off and pay later via a payment plan. However, my immediate concern is ensuring that I have a roof over my head. To cover my rent for this month, I need $1200.

Need help with rent/bills, can’t afford to eat

I am in desperate need of help paying my rent/bills and car payments as I am currently in a financial crisis. My significant other recently moved out and left out of no where, leaving me to struggle making payments each month amounting to $1,600. With only one source of income from my job, which does not pay me enough to cover all of these expenses, I am finding it nearly impossible to make ends meet.

The sudden loss of my partner leaving me has left me in a state of financial turmoil. I am constantly worried about how I will be able to afford all of my expenses, including basic necessities like food.

I have had to cut back on eating some days (it’s that serious) and make sacrifices to take care of my 2 dogs and make sure they eat everyday yet it’s still not enough. I never thought I would have to ask for help but its got to the point that my wife & I are struggling financially. I had a heart attack back in January 2016 & had to have 2 stints put in. Both of the blockages were in what’s called the widowmaker artery of the heart. At the end of May 2016 I suffered another heart attack where the stints were placed from the 1st heart attack. This heart attack damaged my heart & I had to have emergency open-heart surgery. But anyway, long story short. I ended up only having about 30-35% ejection fraction of my heart & thats with medication. Later, after I healed up from surgery I returned to working. I wasn’t able to do any hard physical work like I use to but I continued to work to the best of my ability. I did struggle with depression & had to take medication. After trying a few different ones I finally found one that has helped me the most so far. In January of this year (2024) I had a car accident. I hit a patch of ice & lost control of my car & I smashed into a tree. It totalled my car & I ended up with whiplash & got a concussion. With all of my health issues plus my most recent issues & still staying light-headed & dizzy I am still out of work. I am drawing long term disability from my work. It’s not a lot but it helps with the important bills like our house payment & car payments. Even with my wife’s income we still can’t pay all of our bills. We have been depending on what we have on credit cards just for every day expenses. They are almost maxed out & we can’t afford to pay them down. Plus I have thousands of dollars in bills & we can’t afford to pay on them. We are in dire need of financial help if anybody could help us out. Thank you for any help.

Please help our family

My husband suffered a very life threatening heart attack a few years back.  He coded for 7 minutes while I attempted to save him by performing CPR.  After a lengthy hospital stay and extensive rehab, he was able to survive, with a disability.  He now has a brain injury.  He lost his job because he cannot complete tasks.  We have thousands in medical bills to pay.  I am working 2 jobs and taking care of him in our home.  We have 2 children who were affected by this and we’re not able to go to college.  This has turned our lives upside down and to now have to worry about money every month for us to all survive in our home has become so overwhelming we may lose everything.

Tragedy

It is very hard for me to beg for money. I am ashamed I have to do that. But after a 5 year hospital/nursing home stay, my beloved husband suddenly passed away even though he was in stable condition. It took a toll on me because there was no life insurance and we don’t have kids. Every day I have to fight to survive for me and my pet. Due to my age and bad health, it is hard to find work. I Need help

I came to the US to visit my boyfriend who was in the army in 2020. I got pregnant for him, so we got a quick marriage by just signing papers. He retired in 2021 and we moved to Orlando Florida. He started filing for my stay in the US. After a few months he started acting different. He went to school at nights. One night he messaged me he was coming home late. I was sleeping beside my son in another room. When it come to it he came home on time as usual. The following morning when I woke up he was not home. I sat in the chair and saw one of his phone. I checked it and I found messages from the night. He was going to go someplace with Simone after school. I called the number, the person answered but said nothing. He then calls me and curse me saying why am I calling numbers out his phone. (Bare in mind this was not his personal phone). He came home had some friends over to check out the house.  When they leave he came to me asked me what is my plan now?. I told him everything good. I had my phone and my laptop with me and he grab the phone from me. It was locked so he asked for my password. I was not going to do so because he searches many times and found nothing in my phone and he never give up his phone.  then he grabs my laptop and want the password for it. I was not giving it to him. He got up went to the garage and followed him with my son in my hand. I ask for my stuff back he wasn’t giving it back, the phone was in his pocket so I grab my laptop and move, he grab my clothes but because I had my son in my hand and laptop in the other, he got back the laptop. He came back in and want to destroy my laptop. I told him he didn’t buy it so don’t he dare. He put it on the floor and step on it leaving shoe print on the laptop. He came up to my face and say I’m not to play with him. (Bare in mind, I haven’t done anything.) He place the phone on the kitchen counter. I took my stuff and went to put my son to bed. The next day I asked him to take me to my aunt living in Jacksonville. While staying at my aunt, there were cameras on the front of the house and the back of the house. One night I got a notification, I clicked on it, a vehicle drove up into the garage. I called him and asked who it was, he claims it was him. But I knew he was home already. I said ok. The following morning I called him, he was in the garage, I asked him if he was watching the tv since it was on because my son want to watch something on Netflix and the subscription was one account use. He said no so I had the app to control the tv, I turned it off. Minutes later I got a notification, it was him washing the car mats outside. He walk from the front yard to the back yard then I saw someone’s foot and broom sweeping the garage. This was not him, I called him and he got out of it that it’s only him there. Then few moments later a vehicle drove out then his vehicle drove out. He calls me and apologized saying nothing happened. I was annoyed. He was to come pick me up in two days but his sister was driving from Atlanta to visit him. She picked me up. On the way back he messaged me to not come with no attitude. When I got back I ignored him and he came up to me wanting sex after everything. He came on to me aggressively for sex. Fast forward to December 2022. He got notice that he his the biological father for another child. He slept with someone got them pregnant this was before I came to visit him in 2020. He would leave us and visit the child often. In 2023, I noticed he moving different all the time he would go in the garage to talk to his son on the phone but wouldn’t do so around me. Anyways, early 2024 he confessed that he was cheating on me with the child mother. I knew it but said nothing back then. I told him I want a divorce, he claims he was not going to do it again and want to fix things. I knew he was not going to change but I waited and see if he would but it came to it that he was not happy and wants to be single. I said ok file the divorce. Up to now he hasn’t done so. I left my job in 2023 to stay home and homeschool my son. This is what he wanted. Since I am not working, don’t have a vehicle, it’s all him. He wants me out the house. And I have no money to my name and i also have credit card debt. I am asking for assistance. So I can take care of myself and my son without his help.

Help with school loans and funeral costs for my grandfather.

Dear friends and community members,

I hope this request finds you in good health and spirits. i am writing to you all today to share my story and asking for your support if this very difficult time in my life. I am facing a lot of obstacles in my pursuit of having my American dream. I am DACA recipient(Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)where it has giving me the opportunity to live and work in the United States, the only home I have ever known. This program has allowed me to pursue my education and and contribute to society in many meaningful ways.

One of the most significant challenges I have faced as a DACA recipient is the financial burden of higher education, because DACA recipients are not eligible for federal financial aid and some scholarships. I have had to rely on private loans with high interest rates, in addition  to being considered out-of-state has significantly increased my tuition costs. To give a clear picture, out-of-state tuition is often two or three times higher than in-state tuition. I have been working two to three jobs and receiving some private loans, I have found it nearly impossible to keep up with the debt and stress that there financial obligations have been putting on me. From my impacts in my academic performance and my overall well-being.

Adding to my difficulties, I recently lost one of my pillars in my life, my grandfather was the only father figure I had known all my life. He was a pillar of my strength and supported our whole family with his loving ways. He guided me and helped me navigate the challenges of being a DACA recipient  and motivated me to pursue my dreams despite the obstacles. Losing him has been a devastating blow.

My name is Amanda, I’m 36 YO, I have Four children, 2 boys and 2 girls. My entire life is raising my children. I stay at home with them due to lack of resources. Example: car, money etc. 
  3. I’m a recovering addict with 5 years sober. Just because I’m sober doesn’t mean life has gotten easier, realistically it’s got harder. Last year my children and I lost our home due to lack of money. My children and I have been homeless since. We stay at friends houses or my moms here and there, but nothing steady. They deserve to be in a bedroom to call theirs. Due to lack of funding I have been having trouble just doing something as simple as picking up my son’s medication or going to the grocery store or even just getting them to the doctor for check ups.
  4. Recently someone gave me a ride to the dentist. The dentist said I have to pretty much get all of my teeth taking out. I was so embarrassed, I already barely smile as it is. Now I will never smile. This letter is for anyone who will listen or who has compassion for people who struggled with money from childhood to adulthood.I love being a mom, it’s the most rewarding thing a person could have. At the same time it’s very time consuming and expensive. I am hoping to be able to get a few things in order to be able to start moving in the right direction. I

  5. The basic needs are different these days, a phone is a necessity. A car is a  necessity. The money I’m asking for is  to be able to better myself and my children. The further I go, the further they go. The money that is given to me will be used for a computer, this is for me to be able to get a remote job, since I don’t have child care or help. For me to get a reliable car, any car really, I need to be able to get to the doctors when they are sick . I need to be able to wash our dirty clothes. It’s more then embarrassing to not only not have many teeth, I can’t imagine applying for a job with out teeth. I’ve always been a beautiful girl.
